From the time of the Muslim Arabs, the Iberian Peninsula “Iberia” (Spain and Portugal), when the Arab conquerors entered it, became the center of scientific and cultural enlightenment for more than eight centuries, which the Arab Islamic State has experienced since the Umayyad era, passing through the kings of the sects. AbstractThis research is motivated by the lack of art festivals in the province of West Sumatra, which lasted several times in the last decade. This is caused by several factors, including; the absence of management in the management of the festival, so that it seems rushed and not optimal in its implementation. Among the many arts festivals that have ever existed, there is one art festival that has survived to this day, the Pekan Nan Tumpah art festival. Pekan Nan Tumpah arts festival is an arts festival held every two years by the Komunitas Seni Nan Tumpah since 2011. The festival presents a variety of arts, such as theater performance, dance and music, fine art exhibitions, creative poetry reading competitions, workshops and etcetera. However, this research is only focused on the Pekan Nan Tumpah performing arts festival. The Pekan Nan Tumpah performing arts festival features a number of performance art works by inviting other community / groups and art studios both from West Sumatra and outside West Sumatra after passing through the curation system. The Komunitas Seni Nan Tumpah applies management principles in every management of its activities, including the holding of the Pekan Nan Tumpah performing arts festival. The implementation of a management system starts from planning, implementation to evaluation. The Pekan Nan Tumpah performing arts festival is also the only art festival in West Sumatra that dares to implement paid performances by selling tickets to the audience. This study aims to describe management and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors at the Pekan Nan Tumpah performing arts festival.  Keywords: management, performance art festival, tumpah.

Poetic Inquiry incorporates original poetry in academic writing, which ancient poets and scholars had been doing for thousands of years. However, it is not merely a repetition of the old tradition, but uses creative poetry in academic research in a systematic and diverse way. Poetic Inquiry is an umbrella concept to describe the various possibilities for using poetry in research. But, Poetic Inquiry is not any piece of writing with poetry in it. Poetic Inquiry harmonizes scientific research and the philosophical knowledge creation. Poetic Inquiry highlights the importance of individual expression, and generally involves poetic truth-seeking and poetical examination of inner and outer experience.

This study has dealt with Abdul Kareem Abu al - Shih Poetry: stylistic study which connects the linguistic structure with its expressive value or significance in order to analyze his poetry in the light of method solidarity because the comprehensive study of the collection –divan must be useful even without method. The study viewed Dtherini poem as various level texts so they were analyzed and their basic elements were counted. Besides, the different structures were contrasted and each linguistic element has its own function in the frame of the text or context. Moreover, all of the linguistic elements were connected to the poet who invented them to create his creative poetry. The study consists of three chapters: (Stylistic rhythmical phenomena, Stylistic structural phenomena and Stylistic semantic phenomena). At rhythmical level: Abu al - Shih has carefully selected his rhymes and internal acoustic formulations and their harmony with the theme of the poem. At structural level: Abu al - Shih intensively used the composition structures (Command) as semantic indications specially the use of the verb as a significant element in building up distinguished texts. At semantic level: the semantic fields such as (love) dominated the linguistic elements in his poems as appeared in quotation specially the religious quotations. The study viewed Abu al - Shih as a poet who was able to highly employ the elements of the linguistic system with its various levels to serve his poetic purposes in the expressive, emotive, impressionistic, and aesthetic aspects, so he has combined varied techniques in the same text. This study did not follow the conventional approach in processing the classical poetic texts, but it followed a modern critical approach which tends to the objective approach as much as possible.

This chapter sets out to map the leading themes and motifs in Tony Harrison’s recent long poem, Polygons (2015). It particularly traces the poets alluded to, and the places around Delphi which recur in vivid evocation. These are woven together to create a highly personal response to a locality that has meant a great deal to the poet, incorporating his work there, which included Trackers; his close collaborations with Jocelyn Herbert; the loving companionship of Sian Thomas; Mount Parnassus, especially Melpomene the Muse of tragedy; the addictive and restorative qualities of the waters of Castalia. The news of the death of Seamus Heaney, which reached him at Delphi in 2013 leads him to elegiac thoughts on his own survival and mortality. The overarching claim is that this poem has many of the characteristics of Tony Harrison’s most creative Poetry.
