We understand from the study of neuroscience that our mind has the power to change according to the social and cultural context in which we operate. The purpose of this research was to present epistemological theory, its importance in influencing decision-making, and strategic approaches from the perspective of complexity and neuroscience. For this, an in-depth bibliographic review was carried out based on the epistemological point of view and critical reading of published articles. The results demonstrated considerations about the presence of multiple philosophical traditions in the scientific process; the role of leadership and neuroscience as the axis of knowledge and their value for decision-making; and how, based on the paradigmatic dialectic, a new mental model and innovative foresight are useful for understanding the structures that require new models of planning for the future where possible and desirable. Thus, we conclude that a change of mentality to a new philosophy of interpretation of reality is important for the complexity of the construction of the future. Keywords: neurosciences, quality, managerial skills, neuroliderazgo. Introduction: Development is a mental change that occurs gradually and over time, starting from simple abilities to more difficult abilities, such as attitude, behavior and intelligence. Preschool age is a golden age in which all aspects of development play an important role in aspects of further development. The study aimed to determine the relationship between nutritional status and development of preschool aged children in the operational area of Puskesmas Batua Raya. Methods: The study used a cross sectional study design with total sample of 196 respondents. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements of body weight and KPSP assessment (developmental pre-screening questionnaire) was carried out. Data analysis was performed using the chi square test. Results: Results of the study found that children with appropriate development were higher in good nutritional status (74%) than those who were below the nutritional status (5.6%). Analysis of the two variables shows the value of p = 0.000. Statistically, there was a significant relationship between nutritional status and development of preschool children. Conclusion: Based on the research, it may be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge and the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding in the operational area of the Sudiang Primary Health Center.

This chapter explores the application of Buddhism as psychotherapy. Buddhism is primarily a religion or Dharma that has inspired the arts, social life, architecture, and foundational aspects of the cultures where it has become established. In considering it as psychotherapy, this chapter similarly applies principles and images springing from its religious root. Buddhism is also a transmitted living tradition, passing from master to disciple. This chapter examines that crucial mind-changing relationship, considering it as a medium of psychotherapy, and goes on to work through fundamental elements of Buddhist theory, substantially derived from meditation experience, showing their application to consoling, resolving, and liberating the troubled mind. It shows how meditation provides an amplifying and deepening dimension to this process of mental change.

Abstract Background Although frailty has been associated with atypical manifestations of infections, little is known about COVID-19 presentations in hospitalized frail patients. We aimed to investigate the association between age, frailty, and clinical characteristics of COVID-19 in hospitalized middle-aged and older adults. Method Longitudinal observational study comprising 711 patients aged ≥50 years consecutively admitted to a university hospital dedicated to COVID-19 severe cases, between March and May 2020. We reviewed electronic medical records to collect data on demographics, comorbidities, COVID-19 signs/symptoms, and laboratory findings on admission. We defined frailty using the Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS = 1–9; frail ≥5). We also documented in-hospital mortality. We used logistic regressions to explore associations between age, frailty, and COVID-19 signs/symptoms; and between typical symptoms (fever, cough, dyspnea) and mortality. Results Participants had a mean age of 66 ± 11 years, and 43% were female. Overall, 25% were frail, and 37% died. The most common COVID-19 presentations were dyspnea (79%), cough (74%), and fever (62%), but patients aged ≥65 years were less likely to have a co-occurrence of typical symptoms, both in the absence (OR = 0.56; 95% CI = 0.39–0.79) and in the presence of frailty (OR = 0.52; 95% CI = 0.34–0.81). In contrast, older age and frailty were associated with unspecific presentations, including functional decline, acute mental change, and hypotension. After adjusting for age, sex, and frailty, reporting fever was associated with lower odds of mortality (OR = 0.70; 95% CI = 0.50–0.97). Conclusions Atypical COVID-19 presentations are common in frail and older hospitalized patients. Providers should be aware of unspecific disease manifestations during the management and follow-up of this population.

World Health Organization (WHO) defines adolescence as the period of life between 10 and 19 years of age. The adolescent experiences changes in various dimensions which includes not only physical but also emotional, psychological, social, and mental change and growth. Physiological changes lead to sexual maturity and usually occur during the first several years of this period. Majority of adolescents still do not have access to information and education on sexuality, reproduction, and sexual and reproductive health and rights, nor do they have access to preventive and curative service. Due to lack of adequate knowledge they are subject to many problems which pose threat to their healthy life. Pregnancy during adolescence is very serious problem in our country. This study aims to find the level of reproductive health and awareness among girls. Also aims to find whether there is any relationship between the faculty in which they study and their awareness level. Primary data was collected from college going girls in the first year of under graduate programme of all three basic faculties.
