Career progress of an employee is the result or work performance of employees who are assessed in terms of quality and quantity based on work standards determined by the organization. Optimal performance, namely performance that meets organizational standards and supports the achievement of organizational goals. In collecting this data using Accidental Sampling, which means that the sampling method involves random employees as the research sample. Using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, The research sample totaled 399 respondents. Respondents in this study were employees who were in South Labuhanbatu Regency using Google Forms which the authors would later distribute on social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp and other social media.

This paper takes listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets as research samples to analyze and test the relationship between executive career expectation and enterprise risk. This paper argues that manufacturing enterprise executive career expectations have a dual impact on corporate risk, one is to increase corporate risk through investment effect, the other is to reduce corporate risk through reputation effect. The results show that, in the two effects, reputation effect plays a leading role, that is, the higher the career expectation of executives, the more attention they pay to the professional reputation they try to build. In order to protect their own reputation from damage, executives pay more attention to the risk management and internal control of enterprises, so as to reduce the risk of enterprises. This also shows that reputation has a "implicit" incentive effect on executives .This study provides a theoretical basis for enterprises to formulate "explicit" and "implicit" incentive contracts.

BACKGROUND: With the rapid advancement of the educational reform, the requirements for primary and secondary school teachers are increasing, which makes the work pressure of teachers become greater, which can lead to a variety of mental health problems. It is the primary task to promote the psychological health of primary and secondary school teachers by analyzing the stress of teachers and putting forward reasonable countermeasures. OBJECTIVE: The study aimed to analyze the direct and indirect effects of occupational stress on the mental health level of primary and secondary school teachers. METHODS: 317 teachers from 6 rural primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang province were selected as research subjects. A questionnaire was designed to collect information of occupational stress, mental health, and social support scores. The teachers were compared for differences in gender, marriage status, class teacher, occupational stress, and mental health. The correlation among occupational stress, mental health, and social support was analyzed by structural equation model. RESULTS: The occupational stress of male teachers was higher than that of female teachers in self-development, work load, and career expectation, and the mental health was lower than that of female teachers in work (P <  0.05). The occupational stress of married teachers was significantly higher than that of unmarried teachers, and their mental health was significantly higher than that of unmarried teachers (P <  0.05). The occupational stress of teachers with senior professional titles was lower than that of teachers with primary and intermediate titles in the dimensions of self-development, work load, and career expectation (P <  0.05). The occupational stress of class teachers was higher than that of non-class teachers in terms of student factors, work load, and career expectation (P <  0.05). The direct path coefficient between occupational stress and mental health was –0.421, and the indirect path coefficient between occupational stress and mental health was –0.172. CONCLUSIONS: The occupational stress of male, married, class teacher, and teacher with the primary and intermediate titles was significantly greater than that of female, unmarried, non-class teacher, and senior title teacher. In conclusion, the occupational stress of primary and secondary school teachers can not only directly predict the mental health level, but also indirectly affect the mental health level through social support.

The recruitment, retention and development of early career women have always been a challenge in the construction industry. With the focus on early career women or new female construction management degree graduate hires in construction, this study explores: (i) factors influencing their choice of career in construction; (ii) the extent of which their career expectations were met in their first few years of job experience; and (iii) how their met or unmet career expectations are related their overall job satisfaction. Data was collected using an online survey questionnaire. The results show that the top significant factors influencing the respondents’ career choice are career opportunities and belief of getting better pay. Their career expectations, on the other hand, were met or exceeded to a great extent for almost all the measurement items. The results also show that the respondents have a relatively high overall job satisfaction level. Although there is lack of evidence that their overall job satisfaction increased as met career expectations increased, there are statistically significant positive correlations among the career expectation measurement items. These findings have implications for human resource practices of construction employers that aimed to attract early career women into the industry, and to reinforce their met career expectations and job satisfaction.

The research is purposed to know how motivational factors consisting of salary and social security, career expectation, managerial role, employee competence, work type, job equipment, work environment, and company policy—influence employee performance at a telecommunication company in West Java. The research is a survey one to generate scientific information using explanatory research. Data of the research is analyzed with a simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. Besides, the research experiences t-test, F-test, correlation coefficient, and determination coefficient calculated with an SPSS Version 12 program. Results of the research indicate that motivational factors have, both individually and collectively, significant influences on employee performance, with employee competence being the most dominant factor influencing employee performance at a telecommunication company in West Java. Keywords       : Motivation, performance, competition

This research aims to determine: 1) The effect of Career Expectation toward Work Readiness student, 2) The effect of Career toward Work Readiness student, 3) The effect of Work toward Work Readiness student, 4) The effect of Career Expectation, Career Guidance, and Work Motivation simultaneoulsy toward Work Readiness student. This research is an Ex-post facto study with a quantitative approach, conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Bantul with the subject of student of XII Accounting Grader. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Before analyzing the data, a prerequisite test for analysis must be carried out, namely normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test. The data analysis technique used in this study is simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are: 1) There is a positive and significant influence between Career Expectation and Work Readiness with a value of r2x1y 0.153. 2) There is a positive and significant influence between Career Guidance and Work Readiness with a value of r2x2y 0.205. 3) There is a positive and significant influence between Work Motivation and Work Readiness toward Work Readiness student with r2x3y 0.124. 4) There is a positive and significant influence between Career Expectation, Career Guidance, and Work Motivation simultaneoulsy toward Work Readiness student with a value of R2(1,2,3) 0,283. So Career Guidance is a variable with the greatest influence among the three independent variables with r2x2y  0.205 so student can be more active in doing Career Guidance that supports Student toward Work Readiness. Keywords: Work Readiness, Career Expectation, Career Guidance, Work Motivation

<span>Career selection is one of the most important decisions an individual makes in his life. High career expectation could result in career decision difficulties. This study aimed to compare and analyze the career decision difficulties between nursing freshmen and interns. This cross-sectional study involved 110 and 66 nursing freshmen and interns respectively (n=176) in two private nursing colleges. Career decision difficulties questionnaire was used in data collection. Descriptive statistic and independent sample t test were used in data analysis (α&lt;.05). Results showed that most respondents experienced moderate difficulties in both groups. Overall, there was no significant difference of career decision difficulty found between groups (p=.057), <br /> but indecisiveness, dysfunctional myths, lack of knowledge about the process of career decision making, lack of information, lack of information about occupations, lack of information about ways of obtaining additional information, and internal conflicts were significantly different between groups (all p&lt;α). Career decision difficulties occur similarly both in nursing freshmen and interns.</span>

This paper aimed to develop a measurement scale for female hotel employees’ career expectations. Both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies were applied. In-depth interviews were first conducted to collect primary data of career expectation activities, and then the main survey was conducted nationwide to collect representative data. After a series of exploratory factor analysis, two dimensions were extracted, namely career rewards and career development. The results of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the measurement items developed were both reliable and valid. Of the two factors of female hotel employees’ career expectations, career rewards was an important factor. Both academic and practical implications were discussed to provide valuable insights for human resource management of hotels in China. The paper concludes with the discussion of limitation and suggestions for future research.
