Inclusive school is a public school that the student with special needs can be educated together with normal students. Expanding the potential that they have through the appropriate teaching strategies is crucial to implement, especially for the student with EBD. The student with EBD is a student that has aggressive behavior and substantial negative influence in the learning process. In accordance to that, the researcher wants to investigate (1) the teaching strategies used by the English teacher for the student with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD), (2) the implementation of teaching strategies used by the English teacher for the student with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). Using qualitative method, the research involves one English teacher of SD Satu Atap Sumbersari 1 Malang Inclusive School. The instruments used were observation and interview. The current research revealed that there were three strategies used by the English teacher at SD Satu Atap Sumbersari 1 Malang Inclusive School. First, the teacher shows the interest towards students’ progress through communication to the student with EBD. Second, giving the student an understanding to have control for everything occurring in their life by giving the student with EBD punishment when break the rules. Third, conducting class activities relevant to students’ interest with alternative activities made by the English teacher.

High quality Physical Education should instigate and support all learners to develop into a lifelong participant in a way which upkeeps their own health, fitness, and well-being. There are, however, an ever-increasing number of children who drop out of participating in physical activities at the earliest opportunity, leading to an increase in sedentary lifestyles and a rise in childhood obesity. It is evidence such as this which indicates Physical Education, specifically in England, is not currently appropriate for all and requires change. To attempt to make the subject a more positive experience for all and to inspire lifelong involvement, varying the curriculum and including alternative activities for pupils might tap into useful wider cultures. This paper discusses the emergence of alternative sports, the challenges and synergies of implementation, and focuses on what could work and why.

The development of the tourism in Bulgaria and in particular of rural tourism is a way for achieving one of the CAP objectives- increased index of human development in rural areas. Through the development of tourists’ sector, it is possible to ensure an acceptable standard of living for people, to preserve the cultural heritage and at the same time to help protect the environment. There are tendencies for changes in consumer preferences from the mass forms to alternative forms of tourism. This in turn changes the entrepreneurial business in response to increased consumer interests. In the present article an assessment of a project for reconstruction of a house ("Karakusheva house" in the village of Svezhen) for rural tourism is made. Four scenarios are analyzed in which the site can operate after its construction. Recommendations for policies for the development of alternative activities in rural areas have been made.

Abstract Background The act of smoking has been associated with the automatic activation of approach biases towards smoking-related stimuli. However, previous research has produced mixed findings when smokers are trained to avoid such smoking-related stimuli through the application of Approach Bias Modification (ApBM). As such, this study aimed to test an improved ApBM (ApBM +), where smokers were trained to approach personalized alternative activities for smoking in the context of increased craving, in addition to training smoking-avoidance responses. Methods Sixty-seven daily smokers motivated to quit (M age = 29.27, 58.2% female) were randomly assigned to seven sessions of either ApBM + (n = 26), standard-ApBM (n = 19), or sham-ApBM (n = 22), after a brief motivational smoking intervention. Primary outcomes of approach biases for smoking and for alternative activities and secondary outcomes of smoking-related behaviors were assessed at pre-test, post-test, and 1-month follow-up. Results Overall, no group differences by condition were demonstrated in changing approach biases or smoking-related behaviors at post-test and 1-month follow-up. A trend level indication for differences in changes of smoking-approach biases between sham-ApBM and ApBM + for relatively heavy smokers was found at post-test. This was primarily driven by a significant increase in smoking-approach biases within the sham-ApBM condition and a trend decrease in smoking-approach biases within the ApBM + condition. Conclusions Our findings did not provide support for the current ApBM + concerning improved effects across the whole sample. Diverging training effects on approach biases for smoking in relatively heavy smokers warrants further research, for which we provide some suggestions.

Only a small fraction of genes deposited to databases have been experimentally characterised. The majority of proteins have their function assigned automatically, which can result in erroneous annotations. The reliability of current annotations in public databases is largely unknown; experimental attempts to validate the accuracy within individual enzyme classes are lacking. In this study we performed an overview of functional annotations to the BRENDA enzyme database. We first applied a high-throughput experimental platform to verify functional annotations to an enzyme class of S-2-hydroxyacid oxidases (EC 1.1.3.15). We chose 122 representative sequences of the class and screened them for their predicted function. Based on the experimental results, predicted domain architecture and similarity to previously characterised S-2-hydroxyacid oxidases, we inferred that at least 78% of sequences in the enzyme class are misannotated. We experimentally confirmed four alternative activities among the misannotated sequences and showed that misannotation in the enzyme class increased over time. Finally, we performed a computational analysis of annotations to all enzyme classes in the BRENDA database, and showed that nearly 18% of all sequences are annotated to an enzyme class while sharing no similarity or domain architecture to experimentally characterised representatives. We showed that even well-studied enzyme classes of industrial relevance are affected by the problem of functional misannotation.

Abstract Background: Nowadays, the correspondence of medical, dentistry, and pharmacy student's thesis with health issues and challenges of the society is a crucial concern of universities of medical sciences. Because the product-oriented thesis can significantly affect students' scientific and practical abilities and lead to the provision of more efficient services to society. The present study aimed to extract alternative activities to diversify medical, dentistry, and pharmacy student's thesis in Kerman University of medical Sciences. Methods: This study was a descriptive cross-sectional study using the sequential exploratory design and conducted in the Education Development Center of Kerman University of Medical Sciences between February and June 2021. The qualitative phase aimed to extract alternative activities to diversify medical, dentistry, and pharmacy student's thesis in three steps (literature review, scoring the extracted alternative activities, and implementing expert panel). The quantitative phase aimed to assess the extracted alternative activities to diversify medical, dentistry, and pharmacy student's thesis. Results: According to the results of the two phases, 18 alternative activities were identified and categorized into five domains of individual development, research, education, healthcare, and social services. Conclusions: The gap between what we know and what is seen in practice in medical, dentistry, and pharmacy student's thesis is quite apparent. According to research, it is always recommended that knowledge manifest itself in the society; however, the present study aimed to extract activities to replace student's dissertations so that they may turn into practice and contribute to social services.

Despite the fact that in recent years there has been much talk of the topic of inclusion in education in Costa Rica, there are still concerns and complaints by teachers of regular education with respect to the lack of information and guidelines that clarify their responsibilities in the process of inclusion. To attend to pupils with or without special educational needs in the regular classroom, it is a great challenge for these because it must comply with the curricular goals proposed, and implemented, various methodological strategies for a curriculum management of quality that, at times, is affected by the collective diversity. Therefore, with the aim of analyzing the competencies of teachers in the implementation of intervention strategies in the classroom during the teaching-learning process for an inclusive and quality education in the educational system of Costa Rica, an investigation was made of mixed approach, with the participation of 385 teachers of I - II Cycle, III Cycle, and Education Diversified belonging to public institutions. Between the preliminary results quantitative has been able to identify that 85% of the teachers agree that the use of alternative activities level of complexity is appropriate for the students progress in the development of their skills, also a 92% also state that to apply methodological strategies adapted for the pedagogical mediation depending on the skills, promotes inclusive practices.
