Abstract. Modern society is characterized by a large number of emergencies or situations, under the influence of which a person activates special mechanisms that help not only adapt in society, but also adapt to any situation that has arisen, often a conflict-gene. One of the internal resources that allows a person to overcome difficult, stressful situations in modern society is the volitional sphere of the personality. It seems that the study of the volitional sphere of convicts can become the basis for psychological support of convicts to imprisonment at all stages of serving their sentences, contribute to the development and implementation of effective programs to prepare for parole. The purpose of the study was to study the features of the volitional sphere of convicts preparing for parole. According to the results of the study, it was possible to establish that convicts preparing for parole, serving sentences in a strict regime colony to a greater extent, are characterized by a superficial attitude to affairs, a tendency to take thoughtless risks, weak volitional processes, unwillingness to apply physical and mental efforts, emotional instability and severe anxiety, which probably increases the likelihood of committing repeated crimes. At the same time, convicts preparing for parole, serving sentences in a settlement colony, are largely characterized by the ability to control their emotions and show initiative and perseverance when making a responsible decision. It seems that, to a sufficient degree, self-confidence frees from the fear of the unknown, increases the readiness to accept the new, the unexpected, and, as a rule, is combined with freedom of opinion, a tendency to innovation.

Eclipsing binary stars have a rich history of contributing to the field of stellar astrophysics. Most of the available information on the fundamental properties of stars has come from the analysis of observations of binaries. The availability of powerful computers and sophisticated codes that apply physical models has resulted in determinations of masses and radii of sufficient accuracy to provide critical tests of theories of stellar structure and evolution. Despite their sophistication, these codes still require the guiding hand of trained scientists to extract reliable information. The computer code will produce results, but it is still imperative for the analyst to ensure that those results make astrophysical sense, and to ascertain their reliability. Care must be taken to ensure that we are asking the codes for parameters for which there is information in the data. The analysis of synthetic observations with simulated observational errors of typical size can provide valuable insight to the analysis process because the parameters used to generate the observations are known. Such observations are herein analyzed to guide the process of determining mass ratios and spot parameters from eclipsing binary light curves. The goal of this paper is to illustrate some of the subtleties that need to be recognized and treated properly when analyzing binary star data.

At the end of 2019 a new virus was discovered which is now an infectious disease outbreak around the world and WHO (World Health Organization) gives the name of the virus that is currently endemic as Covid-19 (Corona Virus Diseases 2019). This research is a qualitative research that aims to collect in-depth data from sources or informants by conducting direct interviews. The number of informants in this study were 10 people. The data collection is done by direct observation to field conducted in-depth interviews of workers and equipped with recording equipment sound made to 10 informants. The results of the research carried out are that there are workers who have not been able to carry out and implement health protocols in accordance with the recommendations of the government. Of the several health protocols that exist at the Slaughter Goat Research Workshop, there are health protocols that have been violated by workers, namely all workers do not wear masks when in the work environment, the absence of workers who apply physical or social distancing during work or during rest hours, water and hand washing soap are not provided and hand sanitizers are never used and are only for display in the office, and workers believe that it is impossible for fellow workers to transmit the Covid-19 virus to fellow workers although there are already some workers in Loka Penelitian Kambing Potong who have contracted the virus, they are not worried and are not afraid of it. The advice that can be given is that workers must be aware of the importance of implementing health protocols and Loka Penelitian Kambing Potong should provide guidance and direction to workers in an effort to suppress the decline in Covid-19 cases

With recent advancements in technology, there has been a tendency to increase the amount of interactive content, e.g., technology combined with cultural content. Based on this, interactive content has been created based on ‘Newtro.’ In view of the physical interactions between users and content, interactive content with an interface for connecting users and content was set as the object of this study. To apply the physical interaction (considered the most important aspect of the content), ‘a button interface’ requiring a relatively greater force was used. When the user pressed the button, the video was played on a projector. The physical interactions between users and content were discussed, and an interface for connecting users and contents to thereby apply physical interactions to content was studied. A questionnaire survey was conducted, targeting users who experienced the content, and research results were derived. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it addresses the physical interactions between users and content and examines the correlation between the physical interface and interaction. Although using a button interface was helpful for the physical interaction, a relatively simple technique was used; this could reduce user interest in the content. Therefore, research on interactivity and interfaces that can promote more active communication between content and users is required.

Cultivation and use of Virginia 202 broadleaf skeletal variety for the production of smoking tobacco has broad prospects. Problems of post-harvest processing of large leaves with a massive midrib consist in high energy costs with an artificial drying method or the provision of facilities for long-term natural drying. The aim of the research is to apply physical method of cutting the leaf midrib to intensify drying and to determine the effect of this technique on the quality indicators of raw materials. It has been found that the technique of cutting the midrib on the Virginia 202 variety contributes to a significant optimization of the drying process without reducing the quality of raw materials. The drying time of leaves with the combined method is reduced by 2,8 times, with the natural method – by 2,3 times, and the quality indicators of raw materials improve. Commercial quality is characterized by the yield of 1 commercial grade, for combined drying the yield of 1 grade has increased in comparison with the control sample by 27% and amounted to 86,5%, with natural drying – the increase in yield is 4%. Cutting the midrib increases the fiber yield by 3–5% and contributes to an increase in the volumetric-elastic properties of the fiber, providing an economical consumption of raw materials for the production of smoking articles, the consumption is 676,8–753,8 g/1000 pcs. The gustatory quality improves, raw materials with a cut midrib have optimal values of the ratio of carbohydrate-protein balance in the range of 1,08–1,5, the strength is preserved due to the lower consumption of nicotine during the shorter drying period, in comparison with drying the leaf without cutting the midrib. Cutting the midrib in Virginia 202 is cost effective.

Abstract With the rapid development of new technology and the growing global competition in industry, it is essential for companies to protect their sensitive product designs and technologies. To ensure that their systems are not exploited by potential patent infringers, original equipment manufacturers often apply physical attributes and/or reduce commonality within a product family to prevent easy reusing and recovering. Yet, these design strategies are key barriers to the sustainable recovery and recycling of products. To address these trade-offs, this paper proposes a stepwise methodology to identify the sustainable optimal product family architecture design while protecting intellectual property on sensitive parts or modules. The developed approach notably allows the selection of suitable and sustainable candidates to share among products, taking into account the cost-benefit of commonality within the product family. To demonstrate and test the proposed methodology, a case study is performed with a printer-product family. Environmental savings resulting from the new modular-based architecture obtained for this product family are quantified and discussed.
