Nosocomial infections (NIs) are hospital-acquired associated infections, and also contracted due to the infections or toxins that exist in some location, like hospital. Therefore in our study, 4 Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolates were obtained from dairy product (Lactobacillus brevis, L. acidophilus, Lactococcus raffinolactis and Lactococcus lactis) and were tested for Bacteriocin production to select Lactococcus lactis among them. Cell free supernatant (CFS), Lipid and partial purification of protein La. Lactis had high inhibitory effect against test pathogens (E. coli, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus). 30 isolates that diagnosed by Vitec, were isolated from (3) hospitals in Baghdad/ Iraq. The results showed that the bacteriocin exhibited higher inhibition activity against the microorganisms (that isolated from hospitals), so we recommended that La. lactis is a good natural agent candidate that could be inhibitor to microorganism isolated from hospitals, so it is a good factor to decrease nosocomial infections.

The objective of this study is to assess the fungal and antimicrobial activity of the essential oil (ET) of marjoram (Origanum majorana L.). This strategy can contribute to the sustainable development of our country. Preliminary tests performed on the essential oil of Origanum majorana showed that this oil has antibacterial activity vis-à-vis the bacterial strains (Enterococcus feacalis, Enterobacter cloaceai, Proteus microsilis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and antifungic (Fusarium sporotrichioide and Fusarium graminearum). The culture medium used was nutrient broth Muller Hinton. The interaction between the bacteria and the essential oil is expressed by a zone of inhibition with diameters of MIC indirectly expression of. And we used the PDA medium to determine the fungal activity. The extraction of the aromatic fraction (essentially oil hydrolat) of the fresh aerian part of the Origanum majorana was performed by hydrodistillation. The average essential oil yield is 0.99%. The antimicrobial and fungal study of the essential oil and hydrosol showed a high inhibitory effect on the growth of pathogens.

This study was conducted in Salahaldin for the period from 15/9/2018 to 15/3/2019, to study the inhibitory activity of aqueous and alcoholic (Eth,Meth) extract of  Mentha Citrato L. And Citrus aurantium L plants by agar well diffusion method on some bacterial causing gingivitis . including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis and Klebsiella pneumonia, were isolated. The results showed that alcohol extracts had a high inhibitory effect on the growth of the bacterial species under study compared to the aqueous extracts. These bacterial isolates were primarily sensitive to the methanolic and ethanolic extract, followed by the hot aqueous extract . The study showed that Mentha Citrato L extract was more effective in inhibiting the growth of bacterial isolates compared to the extracts of the Citrus aurantium L. The inhibitory efficacy of these extracts increased with the concentration of the extract. The concentration was 100 (mg / ml) had a higher inhibitory value than the total concentration Study 20 and 60 (mg / ml) .   http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.24.2019.127

The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the water extract of Propolis, Wild mustard and dates vinegar in the inhibition of Penicillium italicum causal agent of Blue mold on a lemon fruits. The results showed that all tested extracts with concentrations 5, 10 and 15% had a high inhibitory effect against P. italicum. Dates vinegar is highly effective and showed 100% inhibition of P. italicum and protected lemon fruit from infection. First time this type of natural inhibitory water extracts are used in Iraq which resulted that the dates vinegar is the best suitable option for the management of lemon blue mold disease in post-harvest.

It is demonstrated that small DNA circles showed high inhibitory effect on the activity of bacterial topoisomerase I and the single-stranded regions associated with bending deformation are believed to be the crucial factor for trapping the enzymes.

The objective of this study was to determine the activity of the enzyme acetolactate synthase in biotypes of wild poinsettia (Euphorbia heterophylla) with multiple resistance to ALS- and Protox- inhibitors in the presence and absence of imazapyr, imazethapyr and nicosulfuron. We conducted in vitro assay of ALS enzyme extracted from plants of Vitorino, Bom Sucesso do Sul and Medianeira biotypes (with multiple resistance) and a susceptible population in the absence and presence of imazapyr, imazethapyr and nicosulfuron. In the absence of herbicides, biotypes with multiple resistance showed higher affinity for the substrate of the enzyme compared with the susceptible population. The herbicides imazapyr, imazethapyr and nicosulfuron had little effect on the enzyme activity of ALS-resistant biotypes and, conversely, high inhibitory effect on ALS of the susceptible population. Resistance factors were very high, greater than 438, 963 and 474 for Vitorino, Bom Sucesso do Sul and Medianeira biotypes, respectively. The resistance to ALS inhibitors is due to the insensitivity of ALS to herbicides of both imidazolinone and sulfonylurea groups, characterizing a cross-resistance.

The reaction of cyclopentanone with either malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate gave the corresponding condensated products. The latter underwent some heterocyclic reactions to give new pyrazole, thiophene, and pyridazine derivatives. The antitumor evaluation of the newly synthesized products against the three cancer cells, namely, breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7), nonsmall cell lung cancer (NCI-H460), and CNS cancer (SF-268) showed that some of them have high inhibitory effect towards three cell lines which is higher than the standard.

This work deals with the influence of selected heavy metals, copper, nickel, cobalt, zinc and cadmium on respiratory activity of microorganisms during the composting process. We focused on comparing the respiratory activity of microorganisms in the compost after composting process in the presence of different concentrations of above mentioned metals and the measured results were confronted with the valid Czech standard for industrial composts. The results show that the high inhibitory effect at low concentrations, about 1 mg/dm3, has cobalt, for which the limit concentration is no set by Czech standard. Other heavy metals exhibit an inhibitory effect at concentrations higher than maximum allowable concentration, which is set in Czech standard for compost class I and II, with regard to their application to agricultural land.

In this study three doses (0.01, 0.02, 0.04) mgkg B.W of methotrexate drug which used, in the treatment of bladder cancer, were investigate in male germ cells of Mus musculus. Five tests were considered (mitotic index, chromosomal central associated, micronuclei, chromosomal aberration and sperm–head abnormalities). The results showed that,s these doses were presentel with high inhibitory effect of cell division, as well as, they induced significantly higher number of chromosomal central associated, micronuclei, chromosomal aberration and sperm head abnormalities especially after (21, 35) days after treatment at equal rate in control. We study the relationship between the structures of drug with it medical effect by study the atomic charge of each atom of drug and adenine, guanine, cytosine and uracil.
