The considerations presented are an attempt to search for analogies between the influence of culture on the wellbeing of nations and the influence of pedagogical culture on the well-being of growing up generations. Raising the level of pedagogical culture, especially of parents, should be an important task of the Polish school. A somewhat forgotten tool for its realization is the pedagogization of parents, the rank of which should be systemically raised to a level ensuring its universal application. Therefore there is a need for a new, educational paradigm of school.

This study compared the bond strength of a composite repair made with a bulk fill composite and a conventional one using different surface treatments. Specimens were prepared as truncated cones (bases: 4 mm × 2 mm, height: 4 mm) using a bulk fill (OBFa: Filtek One) or a conventional resin (FTKa: Filtek Z250) (n = 66). They were artificially aged (10,000 cycles, 5°C–55°C, 30 sec) and subdivided according to surface treatments: NT—no treatment (control), Abr—abrasion with a diamond tip, and sand—sandblasting with aluminum oxide (50 μm). Treatments were performed over the smaller diameter surface, followed by adhesive (Scothbond Universal) application. A new specimen with similar dimensions was constructed over it using either the OBF or the FTK, totaling 12 groups (n = 11). Bond strength was assessed by tensile test. The data were submitted to two-way ANOVA separately for OBFa and FTKa, followed by Tukey’s test ( p < 0.05 ). For the aged OBFa groups, there was significant differences for composite type and surface treatment, with higher values of bond strength when repaired with the same material (OBFa/OBF > OBFa/FTK), and sandblasting and bur abrasion presented higher values compared to the control group (NT). For the aged FTKa groups, there were no differences for the composite or surface treatment. Therefore, the bulk fill resin composite tested present better repair performance when the same composite was used, while the conventional resin composite was less influenced by the material and the surface treatment performed.

Abstract Monitoring transformer vibration signals is a universal application method to realize the diagnosis of internal mechanical faults of transformers. However, the actual transformer operating is interfered by the noise of the surrounding electrical equipment, which reduces the accuracy of the vibration signal identification. This paper simulate the typical noise sources in the actual transformer operating environment, including fan noise and surrounding equipment fault noise, and explore the impact of different noise sources on the transformer vibration signal.

Abstract We develop a new workflow with O/S tester (Direct Current Tester, DCT) to detect quickly the defect location of failure packages, which can be used in the semiconductor industry for E-FA (Electrical Failure Analysis) fault localization for short, leakage, and open defects. This paper introduces the capability and presents two case studies identifying the defect location of solder balls where DCT with defect mapping function is useful as a non-destructive analysis technique. In this paper, the new methodology and application of DCT on open and short defects in various packages with different sizes have been presented. The experimental results of the design testing program and an intender tooling were verified for the accuracy of the defect mapping function in determining the pin location to defect.

Objective — To investigate the efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of chronic functional constipation and the observation of adverse reactions in patients. Methods — A total of 88 patients with chronic functional constipation who were treated from June 2019 to March 2021 were selected as the subjects, and the patients were divided into control group with 44 patients and observation group with 44 patients according to a random number table. The control group was given conventional western medication, and the observation group was given acupuncture based treatment. The scores for clinical symptom and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results — After treatment, the symptom scores of frequency of abdominal pain, incomplete sense of defecation, abdominal distension and difficulty in defecation in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the total incidence of adverse reactions of abdominal distension, spasmodic abdominal pain, borborygmus and dizziness in observation group was 4.55%, which was significantly lower than that in control group, 22.73% (P < 0.05). Conclusion — Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy is more effective than conventional western medicine therapy in treatment of chronic functional constipation, which effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, as as result, it is worthy of promotion and universal application.

This paper proposes a framework for a layout evaluation of urban public sports facilities. First, the buffer analysis method is used to measure the service level of public sports facilities. The study findings indicate that the overall service level of public sports facilities presents the spatial characteristics of a central agglomeration, and the value of the service level diffuses outward from high to low. There is evident spatial heterogeneity in the layout of public sports facilities in Hangzhou. Second, the Gini coefficient, Lorenz curve, and location entropy are employed to measure the equity of the distribution among spatial units and the intradistrict disparity. The results show a mismatch between the spatial distribution of the facilities and the distribution of the permanent population. The patterns of distribution of the location entropy classes of Hangzhou can be divided into three types: balanced, alternating, and divergent districts. The method in this paper is effective in measuring spatial equity and visualizing it. it has a certain degree of systemicity, universality and operability. At the same time, this method can compare the diachronic characteristics of the same city and the synchronic characteristics of different cities, which has universal application value.

AbstractThe Open Databases Integration for Materials Design (OPTIMADE) consortium has designed a universal application programming interface (API) to make materials databases accessible and interoperable. We outline the first stable release of the specification, v1.0, which is already supported by many leading databases and several software packages. We illustrate the advantages of the OPTIMADE API through worked examples on each of the public materials databases that support the full API specification.

This paper calls into question the universal application of the concept of populism. It points to how particular historical processes need to be taken into account when addressing the formation of populism in Latin American countries. Unlike more theorized cases as Argentinian or Mexican populism, I use the Ecuadorian case to show how critical historical contextualization of 21st-century populism requires analyzing the continuities and ruptures with sociological knowledge about a particular populism. Such an analysis of continuities and ruptures shows the theoretical convergences among Latin America as a region and the political dynamics of specific historical processes. I highlight how the conceptions of 21st-century Ecuadorian populism as a “passive revolution” or “authoritarian disfigurement of democracy” provide some theoretical tools for examining the historical process of Ecuadorian populism but ultimately fall short of critical analysis. In conclusion, I derived from the Ecuadorian case some elements for the analysis of Latin American populist projects.

This study researches into the legal theory of fiqh al-aqaliyyah and Muslim minorities in a contemporary non-Muslim community. In order to achieve this objective, the paper examines the fiqh al-aqalliyyah, its legal position in Islamic jurisprudence, its legal instruments and its applicability to lessen the physical, social, financial and emotional hardships or difficulties encountered by Muslim minorities who find themselves in an unfamiliar non-Muslim environment. Research method used in this study is expository, descriptive and analytical in order to showcase the applicability of fiqh al-aqalliyyah in the modern legal theory within the context-specific and needs-based neo-ijtihād legal rulings for Muslim minorities. Conclusively, the paper makes findings that context-specific and needs-based neo-ijtihād legal rulings of fiqh al-aqalliyyah is still viable in this contemporary period to arrest new jurisprudential challenges facing the Muslim minorities in non-Muslim communities. Also neo-ijtihād exercise of fiqh al-aqalliyyah from a competent Islamic jurists and legal theorists of a particular society is meant for that society only and should not be given general or universal application so as not to cause confusion in the context-specific and needs-based jurisprudential response. Finally, the study recommends that Muslim minorities should make use of the Islamic jurists and legal theorists’ neo-Ijtihād exercise of fiqh al-aqaliyyah which are peculiar to their environment in procuring solutions to some of the contemporary Islamic jurisprudential challenges facing them in the non-Muslim community.
