The foundation is an important part of the building structure because it functions as a support. The selection of this pile foundation has various considerations, namely the pile foundation can achieve the hardest soil bearing capacity, made with a manufacturing system, then the quality of the concrete can be guaranteed, the soil bearing capacity is not only obtained from the tip of the pile. Foundation planning needs to be well planned to support user safety and comfort. Pile foundation is one type of foundation chosen because it is more cost-effective and quality than other foundations. This study aims to plan the pile foundation for a new building at Baptist Hospital Kediri. The calculations carried out include calculating the load received by each column, the carrying capacity of a single pile permit, the dimensions and depth of the pile, as well as the required pile cap dimensions. Calculation of the pile foundation is carried out using the Mayerhoff method. The calculation results show that the load on the column area (K13) is 212.23.04 tons, the carrying capacity of the single pile permit (Qall) is 87509.33 kg and Quult is 218773.3 kg and the use of 4 piles on one pile with dimensions of 40 x 40 cm with a depth of 10.6 m, With these results can be used as a reference in the construction of a new building Baptist Hospital that is safe and able to withstand the load of the building.

Invitro membrane-stabilizing potentials of fractionates of ethanolic extract of Carica Papaya leaf was investigated in this study. The soxhlet extraction method was used to extract the plant, fractionated with 6 different solvents to give 6 different fractions (hexane, ethyl acetate, chloroform, butanol, methanol benzene). Hbss red blood cells samples were obtained from non-crises state sickle cell patients from Eku Baptist hospital Abraka Delta State, Nigeria. These tests involved the use of positive (p-hydroxy benzoic acid 5ug/ml) and negative controls (normal saline) for membrane stability experiments. Hbss blood was treated with 2mg/ml to 10mg/ml in seven groups with leaf fractionates. Data was analyzed using ANOVA test. The results shows that osmotic fragility was reduced by the introduction of the leaf fractionate, with the highest rate of reduction noticed in the hexane 1 fractionate. PHBA reversal rate and osmotic fragility effect was normal at low doses, but as concentration increases, reversal rate and percentage reduction of sickling decreases. It was concluded that Carica papaya leaf extract fractions, just as its crude extracts, have as much osmotic fragility activities, and this is dose-dependent and has no negative effect on tested blood samples as compared with the treatments with PHBA.

This study investigates the impact of the lack of general hospitals on the residents of Busan, South Korea. In particular, it analyzes the impact of 119 emergency medical services on hospital transit time. Multiple regression analysis was conducted using the data on hospital transfer time obtained from the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters 119 EMS activity log as the dependent variable. The analysis indicated that, after the Baptist hospital was closed, the average transit time in Geumjeong-gu increased, especially in the case of emergency patients. The average time increased in most dongs in Geumjeong-gu but more so in the ones located in the outer city. These results demonstrate the importance of general hospitals in local communities. In the case of emergency, patients who must be transferred to a general hospital, the fact that it can affect not only the relevant area but also neighboring areas can provide the basis for empirical logic at the present time to regenerate a baptist hospital into a public hospital.

Abstract Effective cancer registration is required for the development of cancer management policies, but is often deficient in the developing world. In 2008 cancer registration was set up Banso Baptist Hospital and Mbingo Baptist Hospital in the Northwest region of Cameroon, using the Pediatric Oncology Networked Database (POND). The objective of this study was to analyze the POND registry data for patients with cancer aged 0–15 years for the period 2004–15. A total of 1029 malignancies were recorded in children 0–15 years in the study period. The male-to-female ratio was 1.4:1. The median age at diagnosis was 7.22 years. The most common malignancies were lymphomas followed by nephroblastoma, retinoblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and Kaposi sarcoma. There were more Burkitt lymphomas cases between 2004 and 2009 than between 2010 and 2015, while the number of cases rose for other diagnoses like retinoblastoma and nephroblastoma. This report has demonstrated how pediatric oncology registration can be implemented, improved and sustained in a low- and middle-income country setting with limited resources. Using the data, these hospitals can improve their treatment planning and ensure the availability of essential chemotherapy for childhood cancers.

Administering medicine is one of the most common nursing procedures performed by nurses. Factors that can influence the accuracy of drug administration are organizational factors, unit management factors, and individual factors. These three factors influence the behavior of nurses in drug administration and will ultimately have an impact on patient safety outcomes. The success of nursing services is largely determined by the performance of the nurses themselves Job satisfaction is one aspect of the individual psychological factors themselves. Job satisfaction is needed for nurses to be able to improve the quality of health services. Nurses having positive job satisfaction will produce quality services. The purpose of this study is know whether there is a correlation between nurses' job satisfaction and the accuracy of drug administration in the inpatient room at the Baptist Hospital in Batu. This type of research is a correlational research design used is cross sectional design. The populations in this study were all inpatient nurses who fit the inclusion criteria as many as 32 nurses. The sampling technique used is total sampling techniques and data collection is done through a questionnaire and checklist by using the Lamda test data analysis method. The results of the Lamda test have a probability (sig) of 0.033. As the probability value is <0.05, the interpretation of the results Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a correlation between nurse job satisfaction and the accuracy of drug administration in the inpatient room at the Baptist Hospital in Batu. The suggestions of this research is that it is expected that hospitals can improve the welfare of employees so that the quality of nurses' performance can be obtained for the advancement of service to patients.

Introduction : Nurse educators have a responsibility to improve patient knowledge, especially in preventing the risk of falls, however this is often constrained by the severity of the nurse's workload. This study aims to know the correlation  between nurses' workload and the implementation of health education in preventing the risk of fall in the Inpatient Room of Batu Baptist Hospital. Method:This study uses a correlational method with a cross sectional approach. The sampling used is purposive sampling containing 32 nurse respondents. The data were collected by using questionnaires and observation sheets. Based on the results of research from 18 respondents with heavy workload categories, 14 respondents (43.7%) did poor health education and 4 respondents (12.5%) carried out good health education . Results and Analysis: The data were processed by using the Spearman Rank test with the results of probability (sig.) 0,000 and the value of r count of 0.845 including the strength of coefficient. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation  between the workload of nurses and the implementation of health education. Discussion:The heavier the workload of nurses, the worse  implementation of health education is . Hospital Management needs to analyze nurses' workload objectively so that the constraints in the implementation of health education can be minimized.

Introduction : Outpatient installation is a unit with a complex workload. Complex and high-rise jobs will affect the length of waiting time for services to patients that have an impact on service quality. This study was conducted to know the nurses' outpatient workload and the length of waiting time for transferred patient to the inpatient room. Method: The research method is descriptive analytic observational. The samples of the study were 92 outpatients taken by purposive sampling. Data collection uses sampling work methods. Hypothesis testing uses the C contingency coefficient with the results of almost all respondents; (81.5%) with high workloads and more than half (64%) with a waiting time of> 3 hours. Results and Analysis: The results showed that the value of ρ Cramer was 0.030 (ρ <0.05), the coefficient value was 0.221; the strength of correlation is weak however, it has positive correlation. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between nurses' outpatient workload and the length of waiting time of the transferred patient to the inpatient room at Batu Baptist Hospital. Discussion: The higher the workload that the nurse has, the longer the waiting time for transfered patient to the inpatient ward. The Hospital needs to reexamine the employee need based on duties and authority and there must be special officers in the process of hospitalization in outpatient care. Keywords : Nurse Workload, Length of waiting time for patient transfer

AbstractBackgroundThe epidemiological scale of cancer in Cameroon is still relatively unknown, as public health research in sub-Saharan Africa has traditionally focused on infectious and/or communicable disease. As awareness for chronic disease such as cancer has risen, so, too, have diagnoses and incidence. In order to ensure more effective care and quality of life for children at greater risk for cancer diagnoses, specific and effective research must be conducted in order to institute effective policy and protocols.ObjectiveTo comprehensively review all pediatric cancer cases seen in the Northwest Region of Cameroon in order to provide novel, current epidemiological data on pediatric cancer in the region.MethodsThe authors retrospectively reviewed each individual pediatric cancer case seen from January 1, 2016, through November 30, 2017, in the three largest hospitals in the Northwest Region of Cameroon: Mbingo Baptist Hospital, Bamenda Provincial Hospital, and Banso Baptist Hospital.Results173 cases of pediatric cancer were identified as being treated in one of the three hospitals in question over the 25-month study period. The average age of the patients was 6.23 years (SD = ± 3.93), and 58.4% of the patients were male. The three most common types of cancer diagnosed in these pediatric patients were Burkitt lymphoma, retinoblastoma, and Wilms tumor. Of the 173 cases, 105 of the patients were originally from the Northwest Region. The incidence of pediatric cancer originating from the Northwest Region of Cameroon is 5.92 cases (95% CI: 4.79 – 7.05) per 100,000 persons per year.ConclusionThis study is the first extensive examination of pediatric cancer epidemiology in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Children in sub-Saharan Africa are disproportionately affected by cancer in comparison with their counterparts in the developed world. As the body of literature continues to grow in the years to come, more effective care both preventive and curative can affect the lives of millions.
