The purpose of this research was to explore the coping strategies among bereaved young adults using Six-Part Story Method (6PSM). More specifically, this study was meant to identify the strengths of coping using 6PSM and the suitability of 6PSM among young adults in counselling approach. Counselling session was adapted as a medium for data collection with the aid of 6PSM as an intervention technique. Purposive sampling and snowball sampling was used to identify the most suitable participants to contribute in this study. The ethics of research and counselling such as anonymity, confidentiality, information disclosure, and the acquisition of informed consent were followed strictly throughout this research. The data collected was then analyzed using content analysis by categorizing the data into themes that present in the BASICPh model introduced by Mooli Lahad (Belief, Affect, Social, Imagination, Cognitive, and Physical) Other than that, this study had also showed that themes such as belief, affect, and social are highly used among young adults as a way of dealing with bereavement. Not only that, this study had also found that the process of completing 6PSM enables an individual to express themselves in a way that synchronizes with the BASICPh model of coping. Based on the findings, this study would like to implicate that the coping strategies of bereaved young adults falls under the themes of belief, affect, and social. In addition, it also implicated that 6PSM is suitable to be used as an intervention in counselling young adults.

A mastery in Engineering Science Course is closely related to the physics subjects in schooling which involve problem solving techniques including mathematical skills. Engineering Science Course is considered difficult and complicated that need to be understood since there are many concepts to understand, especially for students who do not take science courses in school. Mastery of a course is closely linked to academic achievement that has a great impact on student achievement. Thus, a study was conducted to identify factors that influence student’s performance in the Engineering Science Course at Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (PSMZA). A total of 179 respondents from four departments; Department of Civil Engineering (JKA), Department of Electrical Engineering (JKE), Department of Mechanical Engineering (JKM) and Department of Mathematical Science & Computer (JMSK) were involved in this study. The analysis of the study was done using descriptive statistics, T-test and Pearson Correlation using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23. Analysis of the result shows that environment was the main driving force with the mean value of 4.31 being the highest score compared to existing knowledge factors, interests, attitudes, lecturers and peers. T-test analysis also found that there was a significant relationship between attitude and gender differences. Pearson Correlation’s analysis found that the relationship between lecturers and interests was average and significant. While peers, environment and interest were strongly related, but significant. It is hoped that the findings of this study will help to provide an overview of the factors that influence student performance in the Engineering Science Course at PSMZA. This will also help JMSK to take preventive measures and improve all aspects of its efforts to improve student performance in the Engineering Science Course at PSMZA.

Mini Thermoforming Semi-Auto Machine is a product-making machine from heated plastic sheets. This machine uses a vacuum suction method to form a product that you want to produce. This machine is designed to help and facilitate learning and teaching matters in higher education institutions where the use of this machine can reduce costs especially maintenance costs if damaged. The size of the machine is 600 mm x 500 mm which is one per fourth of the actual size in the plastic manufacturing factories. Some testing of machines and products is done. Among them is the test of lifting frame which shows the time taken for the upward movement is 4 seconds and 3.5 seconds to decrease. In addition, stress tests are also performed where the product can be perfectly formed when inhaled by vacuum. In terms of temperature the test is done by heating on the sheet or plastic sheets. The last test was made on the product, where the product was produced perfectly within 3 minutes and the temperature was 240° C. With the creation of this Mini Thermoforming Semi-Auto Machine, it is hoped that the learning and teaching process in institutions of higher learning will work better as this machine provides comfort in terms of size and prioritizes the safety of lecturers and students and is able to produce products in a short time.
