The Bandung Regency Archives and Libraries Service is one of the regional public libraries of Bandung Regency which has service innovations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bandung Regency Archives and Library Service provides a mobile user interface service named i-Sabilulungan. The purpose of this study was to determine the usefulness of the i-Sabilulungan application as a service innovation during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Bandung Regency Archives and Library Service. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. In this study, the informants were librarians managing the i-Sabilulungan mobile application. The results of this study reveal that i-Sabilulungan as a library service innovation for the Bandung Regency Archives and Libraries Service has fulfilled an important element in the application of the mobile user interface application. The i-Sabilulungan application has fulfilled 10 elements of the application of the mobile user interface application which consists of several elements including connectivity, simplicity, directional, informative, interactivity, user friendliness, comprehensiveness (completeness), continuity (sustainable), personalization (personalization) and internal elements (internal).

One of the sectors affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is the economic sector. Fitness centres are one of the industries affected by this pandemic due to government policies in imposing social restrictions on social distancing to reduce the spread of the corona virus. The purpose of this study was to determine how the communication strategy of fitness centres as part of the capitalist industry such as Urban Athletes, in disciplining the body during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is Krippendorff content analysis on Instagram @urban.athletes posts during the period January 2021 to February 2021. The conclusion obtained is that Urban Athletes revives the lifestyle of sports during and after the Covid-19 pandemic by providing fantasies to maintain body condition during a pandemic. Urban athletes use the bodies in a disciplined manner to follow a lifestyle of sports to keep their bodies fit during a pandemic.

Digital literacy can be used as a means of learning because the millennial era currently has digital sources of information that are liked by the public. Information technology-based learning materials are very easy to find and download in digital form and download free of charge so that people in various circles are very easy to get the information needed, as well as students. Universitas Terbuka which organizes an education system remotely, teaching materials which are the main learning materials apart from being provided in printed form, is also developed in digital form. Learning aid materials in the form of online tutorials and web tutorials (tuweb) is also in digital form because online tutorials and tuweb to access them must be connected to the internet. The spread of information in digital form requires knowledge or the ability to find or use these digital information sources. Researchers raised problems about digital literacy in distance learning, especially students of the Library Science Study Program, FHISIP-UT. The research method used is quantitative with the addition of qualitative data. The results showed that the Open University students, especially the Library Science students of FHISIP-UT, already have the ability to terms of digital literacy. Because we often and always use a PC / Laptop at home or office, use a cellphone/smartphone/tablet, and use the internet.   Literasi digital sering dikaitkan dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin marak saat ini. Literasi digital dimungkinkan untuk digunakan sebagai sarana pembelajaran, karena jaman millennial saat ini tersebar sumber-sumber informasi yang berbentuk digital dan disukai oleh masyarakat. Materi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi, sangat mudah ditemukan dan diunduh dalam bentuk digital serta diunduh secara gratis, sehingga masyarakat dalam berbagai kalangan sangat mudah mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan, demikian juga para pelajar maupun mahasiswa. Universitas Terbuka yang menyelenggarakan sistem pendidikan secara jarak jauh, bahan ajar yang merupakan bahan pembelajaran utama selain disediakan dalam bentuk tercetak, juga dikembangkan dalam bentuk digital. Materi bantuan belajar berupa tutorial online dan tutorial web (tuweb) juga dalam bentuk digital, karena tutorial online dan tuweb untuk mengaksesnya harus tersambung dengan internet. Dengan tersebarnya informasi dalam bentuk digital ini, maka diperlukan pengetahuan atau kemampuan dalam mencari atau menggunakan sumber informasi digital tersebut. Peneliti mengangkat permasalahan tentang literasi digital dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh khususnya mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan FHISIP-UT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan tambahan data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian bahwa mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka khususnya mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan FHISIP-UT sudah mempunyai kemampuan dalam hal lierasi digital. Karena sudah sering dan selalu menggunakan PC/Laptop di rumah maupun kantor, menggunakan Ponsel/smartphone/tablet, dan menggunakan internet.

In the era of disruption of the industrial revolution 4.0 as it is today, there are almost no difficulties in meeting information needs. Both information that is educational or information that is entertainment. A librarian is a profession whose job is to provide and present information to its users. how is the level of readiness of higher education librarians in the era of disruption including what factors affect the readiness of librarians and how librarians adjust to the era of disruption 4.0. In this study using the method of Quantitative Research. This method was chosen by the author because the author wanted to know the level of readiness to implement the development of information technology with the basis or tools on the model developed by Mutula and Brakel. E Readiness, shows a value of 3.393. The value can mean “Ready”. This average calculation is obtained from the average results for each sub-indicator which then becomes the value for each segment or indicator and then is averaged again to find the value of readiness information for the era of disruption 4.0.   Pada era disrupsi revolusi industri 4.0 seperti saat ini, hampir tidak ada kesulitan dalam hal pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi. Baik informasi yang bersifat pendidikan ataupun informasi yang bersifat hiburan. Pustakawan salah satu profesi yang bertugas menyediakan dan menyajikan informasi bagi penggunanya. bagaimana tingkat kesiapan pustakawan peguruan tinggi dalam era disrupsi termasuk faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kesiapan dari pustakawan dan bagaimana pustakawan dalam menyesuaikan diri dalam era disrupsi 4.0. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quantitative Research. Metode ini dipilih penulis karena penulis ingin mengetahui tingkat kesiapan implementasi perkembangan teknologi informasi dengan dasar atau tool pada model yang dikembangkan mutula dan brakel. E Readiness, menunjukan nilai 3,393. Nilai tersebut dapat berarti “Siap”. Perhitungan rata – rata ini didapatkan dari hasil rata – rata pada setiap sub indikator yang kemudian menjadi nilai pada setiap segmen atau indikator dan kemudian di rata – rata kembali untuk menemukan nilai keterangan kesiapan terhadap era disrupsi 4.0.

Universitas Terbuka (UT) has prepared many learning services, one of which is Independent Exercises that can be used by students in the learning process. The still low utilization of IE by students needs to be examined. This paper will discuss the extent of IE-based mobile learning using Android. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method, with a population of 180 respondents, and with a sample of 71 respondents form the cities of Serang, Bogor, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Manado,and Pangkal Pinang. Te results of the study show that the aspects of the ease of use, the usefulness, and the intention to use the Android Indepedent Exercises application generaly accepted by students, and it is supported by the access rate of them. Universitas Terbuka (UT) telah menyiapkan banyak layanan pembelajaran, salah satunya adalah Latihan Mandiri yang dapat digunakan oleh mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Masih rendahnya pemanfaatan IE oleh mahasiswa perlu dicermati. Makalah ini akan membahas sejauh mana pembelajaran mobile berbasis IE menggunakan Android. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan jumlah populasi 180 responden, dan dengan sampel 71 responden dari Kota Serang, Bogor, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Manado, dan Pangkal Pinang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek kemudahan penggunaan, kemanfaatan, dan niat menggunakan aplikasi Latihan Mandiri Android secara umum diterima oleh siswa, dan didukung oleh tingkat akses mereka.

Internal conditions and leadership style seem to affect the work motivation of employees of ASN Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, this is seen from several changes of the head of the agency at the Human Resources Development Agency. The problem formulation for this study is: How much influence internal communication has on work motivation; How much influence leadership style has on work motivation; and How much influence internal communication and leadership style has on work motivation. The results showed that internal communication and leadership style influenced work motivation. The correlation coefficient value is 0.727, indicating a strong relationship between the two category research variables. The coefficient of determination value indicates 52.8%, interpreted as internal communication and leadership style has an influence on work motivation and the other 47.2% is influenced by other factors outside of internal communication and leadership style. Internal communication has a positive effect, the communication created between leaders and employees has been very good. Leadership style affects work motivation, leadership style shows an open attitude. Internal communication and leadership style affect work motivation.   Kondisi internal dan gaya kepemimpinan tampak mempengaruhi motivasi kerja karyawan ASN Badan Litbang SDM Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika, hal ini terlihat dari beberapa kali pergantian kepala badan pada Badan Litbang SDM. Rumusan masalah untuk penelitian ini yakni: Seberapa besar pengaruh komunikasi internal terhadap motivasi kerja; Seberapa besar pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap motivasi kerja; dan Seberapa besar pengaruh komunikasi internal dan gaya kepemimpinan terhadap motivasi kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi internal dan gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja. Nilai koefisien korelasi 0,727, menunjukkan hubungan kedua variabel penelitian kategori kuat. Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan 52,8%, ditafsirkan komunikasi internal dan gaya kepemimpinan memiliki pengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja dan 47,2% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain diluar komunikasi internal dan gaya kepemimpinan. Komunikasi internal berpengaruh positif, komunikasi yang diciptakan antara pimpinan dan karyawan sudah sangat baik. Gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja, gaya kepemimpinan memperlihatkan sikap terbuka. Komunikasi internal dan gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja.

This article explains the typology of instructional video styles in Universitas Terbuka TV (UT TV) as a learning medium in open and distance higher education. Instructional video styles are an essential aspect of learning media because they relate to student involvement in the learning process. This research used a descriptive content analysis method to obtain and determine the style of communication in each video studied. The result indicates that the instructional video style on UT TV tends to be consistent across subjects and disciplines. The style used by most instructional videos on UT TV is slide style, both as the main style and as a secondary style. The slide style is identical to the presentation format in conventional lectures, where slides are positioned as teaching aids so learning material can easily be understood. Artikel ini berusaha memaparkan tipologi gaya video instruksional di Universitas Terbuka TV (UT TV) sebagai media pembelajaran di Pendidikan Tinggi Terbuka dan Jarak Jauh (PTTJJ). Gaya video instruksional merupakan aspek penting dalam media pembelajaran sebab berkaitan dengan tingkat keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi gaya komunikasi pada setiap video yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa video instruksional di UT TV memiliki gaya komunikasi yang cenderung seragam di seluruh mata pelajaran dan disiplin ilmu. Gaya yang digunakan di sebagian besar video instruksional di UT TV adalah gaya slide, baik sebagai gaya utama maupun gaya pendukung. Gaya slide sangat identik dengan format presentasi pada perkuliahan konvensional, di mana slide diposisikan sebagai alat bantu pengajar saat menyampaikan materi agar mudah dipahami oleh mahasiswa.

This study aims to internalize the concept of communipreneur socialized by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sangga Buana University, Bandung and examine the implementation of the communipreneur concept on the campus. Through a qualitative method approach, researchers conducted observations and dept-interviews with key informants namely the Vice Dean, Witri Cahyati, S. Sos, M.Si, Chairperson of the Department of Communication Science, Pupi Indriati Zaelani, S. Sos, M. Si and several USB lecturers. This study produced several conclusions including; Sangga Buana University as a campus that claims to be an entrepreneur campus is required to make maximum efforts to apply the concept of entrepreneurs to support the birth of students who are independent and entrepreneurial in the field of Communication. The rector’s policy was further broken down by the Communication Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences by formulating and implementing the concept of communi-entrepreneur through four fields namely photography, videography, public speaking and script writers.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginternalisasi konsep komunipreneur yang disosialisasikan oleh Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik Universitas Sangga Buana Bandung dan meneliti implementasi konsep komunipreneur di kampus tersebut. Melalui pendekatan metode kualitatif, peneliti melakukan observasi dan dept-interview kepada key informan yaitu Wakil Dekan, Witri Cahyati, S. Sos, M. Si, Ketua Jurusan Ilkom, Pupi Indriati Zaelani, S. Sos, M. Si dan beberapa dosen USB. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa kesimpulan diantaranya; Universitas Sangga Buana sebagai kampus yang mengklaim sebagai kampus entrepreneur dituntut berupaya secara maksimal untuk menerapkan konsep enterpreneur guna mendukung terlahirnya para mahasiswa yang berjiwa mandiri dan berwirausaha di bidang Komunikasi. Kebijakan rektorat tersebut selanjutnya dibreakdown oleh Prodi Ilmu Komunikasi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik (Fisip) dengan merumuskan dan mengimplementasikan konsep komunipreneur melalui empat bidang yaitu fotografi, videografi, publik speaking dan script wraiter.

The COVID19 has fabricated a new way of life with the worldwide social restrictions policy. During the pandemic, Indonesian university students are mostly socially linked through the Internet, altering their prior face-to-face interactions. While being online, students rely on the technology to create their idealized self as a professional. Alterations in the study methods had created drawbacks when students were continuously building their professional identity, thus their hustle. This research aimed to describe students’ experiences and efforts while treating the Internet as an invisible technology during COVID19. Data collected via online survey with open ended questionnaires by convenience sampling. Research subjects were 10 international class students of Communication Science at Universitas Brawijaya. Data was being analyzed employing thematic analysis. This study found that students’ pressurized effort to hustle and rely more on the self while working to achieve the best mark during the pandemic occurs for two distinct reasons: gradually decreasing trust towards their group members’ teamwork motivation and spiraling compulsion to earn other skills as part of their portfolio before graduating. This research confirms that while students are in the process of adapting to the online learning scheme, their trust level towards online information are heightened yet their trust level towards their peers are weakened. Further studies on the implications of rising hustle culture amongst students to the academic life is suggested.   Pembatasan sosial secara global akibat COVID 19 menimpulkan perubahan cara interaksi dalam banyak sisi kehidupan. Selama pandemi, mahasiswa Indonesia terhubung dengan informasi maupun orang lain mayoritas melalui koneksi internet. Perubahan proses komunikasi ini membuat mahasiswa merasa terisolasi dan tertinggal sehingga merasa perlu bekerja lebih keras menyibukkan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengalaman dan upaya mahasiswa dalam beradaptasi menjadikan internet sebagai ‘invisible technology’. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui convenience sampling dengan menyebarkan kuesioner terbuka dalam survei online. Obyek penelitian adalah 10 mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi kelas Internasional di Universitas Brawijaya. Analisis data dilakukan melalui teknik analisis tematik. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa perlu bekerja lebih keras dalam belajar online karena: berkurangnya kepercayaan terhadap motivasi kerja tim dan juga dorongan bertumbuh untuk mengejar pengalaman yang dapat dimasukkan dalam portofolio sebelum lulus kuliah karena perasaan terisolasi. Penelitian lanjutan mengenai implikasi dorongan psikologis untuk menyibukkan diri di kalangan mahasiswa saat pandemi terhadap kualitas kehidupan akademik lebih mendalam disarankan.

This started as a brief and simple survey aimed to measure the extent to which university lecturers were compelled to attend webinars after the WfH policy was in place, in terms of motivation, challenges and benefits of webinar attendance. The survey also tried to see how instructors would one of their duties under the University Instructors’ Three Principles, i.e. active engagement in online seminars (webinars). It applies the descriptive qualitative approach to identifying how they understand the aspect of social interaction. This study focuses on how instructors make use of webinar technology out of necessity that later proved, time-wise, to be more effective and efficient in organization. ‘Time’ can be managed in the most efficient way possible, and turns out to be a gift, in that it facilitates the enhancement of knowledge. However, webinars still cannot be substitutes for the sorely-missed social interactions.   Dimulai sebagai survei singkat dan sederhana yang bertujuan untuk mengukur sejauh mana dosen universitas didorong untuk menghadiri webinar setelah kebijakan WFH diberlakukan, dalam hal motivasi, tantangan, dan manfaat dari kehadiran webinar. Survei ini juga mencoba melihat bagaimana instruktur menjalankan salah satu tugasnya di bawah Tiga Prinsip Instruktur Universitas, yaitu keterlibatan aktif dalam seminar online (webinar). Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana mereka memahami aspek interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana instruktur memanfaatkan teknologi webinar karena kebutuhan yang kemudian terbukti, dari waktu ke waktu, lebih efektif dan efisien dalam organisasi. ‘Waktu’ dapat dikelola dengan cara yang seefisien mungkin, dan ternyata menjadi anugerah, dalam hal memfasilitasi peningkatan pengetahuan. Namun, webinar tetap tidak bisa menggantikan interaksi sosial yang sangat dirindukan.
