Self-compassion diperlukan sebagai faktor proteksi terhadap stres dan depresi yang sering terjadi pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Self-compassion adalah perasaan belas kasih yang ditujukan kepada diri sendiri terutama pada saat menghadapi kesulitan ataupun kegagalan. Strength-based parenting (SBP) berpotensi mempengaruhi self-compassion karena orangtua dengan sengaja memperhatikan kekuatan anak daripada kelemahannya (strength-knowledge) dan mendorong anak untuk menggunakan kekuatannya tersebut (strength-use). Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang disebarkan secara daring kepada 180 orang mahasiswa di Surabaya (16-22 tahun) terungkap bahwa SBP mempengaruhi self-compassion secara signifikan dengan kontribusi sebesar 12,5%. Strength-knowledge merupakan prediktor yang signifikan bagi self-compassion yang berarti bahwa pemahaman orangtua akan kelebihan anak dapat meningkatkan self-compassion mahasiswa. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat menggali lebih jauh keterkaitan antara SBP, self-compassion, kesejahteraan, tingkat kecemasan dan depresi yang dialami oleh mahasiswa selama masa pandemic sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mentalnya.

This research aims to find out organizational culture affects employee performance in the company. This research uses quantitative research conducted by jumping directly into the field. The sample used amounted to 37 people taken with non-probability sampling techniques. The study used scale in data collection. The variable scale of employee performance is taken from the scale of Robert, et al (2006) with statement items totaling 24. Organizational culture scale is taken from scale of Robbins (2002) with statement items totaling 23 items. Data analysis is done with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that the value of R = 0.391; p <0.05 which means the influence given by Organizational culture as much as 39.1% on Employee performance and the remaining 60.9% is influenced by other variables that are not in this study. That way, it can be known that organizational culture has a significant role in determining employee performance in PT. X .

This study aims to explore the dynamics of parenting stress experienced by parents with cleft children. Previous studies were conducted with quantitative methods. therefor a qualitative approach is used to better understand the dynamics of parenting stress through parents' perspective. Purposive sampling is used with the help of NGO who facilitate families with cleft children. The data is analyzed with thematic analysis and cross-case comparison. Result shows that parenting stress began with a stressor, which is the fact that parents had clef children. Parents then showed emotional and behavioral responses which potentially trigger parenting stress influenced by risk and protective factors. Existing risk factors could predict a higher level of parenting stress, meanwhile protective factors are able to reduce the level of parenting stress. This study further finds that mixed emotion could appear as an emotional response, also that religious value played an important role as a protective factor.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan postpartum depression pada ibu Suku Jawa pasca melahirkan. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan negatif antara dukungan sosial dengan postpartum depression pada ibu Suku Jawa pasca melahirkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling pada 34 ibu Suku Jawa pasca melahirkan. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) dan Postpartum Social Support Questionnaire (PSSQ). Hasil penelitian menunjukan koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,138 dengan nilai sig = 0,219 (p <0,05), artinya tidak terdapat hubungan negatif antara dukungan sosial dengan postpartum depression pada ibu Suku Jawa setelah melahirkan. Sehingga, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini tidak diterima.

Abstract: Perception of success is an individual's perspective on something related to a meaningful life orientation. A person's perception of success is subjective to each individual. Young business owners have their own criteria about a successful business, thus making the meaning of success different.The purpose of this study is to see how entrepreneurs perceive the success of the business they have lived. Respondents in this study are two Acehnese entrepreneurs who have start-up businesses. Research data obtained through in-depth interviews conducted on each respondent. The questions are structured based on the theory of Perception of Success. The results of the interview show that success is viewed differently according to the meaning of success itself for each individual. Respondent I views a successful business as a wholesome, both from the point of view of the entrepreneur and the company. Meanwhile, respondent II perceive succes as how much profit is obtained, popularity, and job providers.  Keywords: perception of success, start-up, success Abstrak: Perception of success merupakan cara pandang individu terhadap sesuatu hal terkait dengan orientasi kehidupan yang bermakna. Persepsi seseorang tentang kesuksesan adalah subjektif pada masing-masing individu. Para pebisnis muda memiliki kriterianya masing-masing terhadap kasuksesan sebuah bisnis, sehingga menjadikan makna sukses berbeda-beda. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana persepsi pengusaha terhadap kesuksesan bisnis yang telah dijalaninya. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang pengusaha Aceh yang memiliki bisnis start-up. Data penelitian didapatkan melalui wawancara mendalam yang dilakukan pada masing-masing responden. Perntanyaan wawancara disusun berdasarkan teori  Perception of Success. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa kesuksesan dipandang secara berbeda-beda sesuai dengan pemaknaan kesuksesan itu sendiri bagi setiap individu. Responden I memandang sebuah bisnis yang sukses secara keseluruhan, baik dari sudut pandang pengusaha ataupun perusahaannya. Sedangkan responden II memandang kesuksesan dari seberapa besar keuntungan yang diperoleh, popularitas, dan penyediakan lapangan pekerjaan. Kata kunci: perception of success, start-up, kesuksesan

Pandemi COVID-19 telah merubah aktivitas normal masyarakat termasuk dalam bekerja. Selama pandemi diberlakukan bekerja dari rumah atau work from home untuk mengurangi penyebaran virus. Rutinitas yang biasa di dikerjakan di kantor terpaksa dilakukan di rumah. Hal ini membutuhkan adaptasi dan menyebabkan konflik peran pada ibu yang bekerja. Tuntutan peran sebagai ibu di rumah bersamaan dengan peran pekerja di rumah diprediksi dapat berdampak terhadap keterlibatan kerja para ibu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji hubungan antara work-family conflict dan family-work conflict terhadap keterlibatan ibu yang bekerja di rumah. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif non eksperimen. Partisipan dalam penelitian adalah ibu yang bekerja di daerah Jabodetabek. Sampel diperoleh sebanyak 132 responden dengan rentang usia 20-60 tahun. Teknik sampling untuk pengambilan data dengan teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Variabel keterlibatan kerja diukur dengan The Utrecht  Work  Engagement  Scale (UWES)  dan skala work-family conflict dan family-work conflict.. Analisis data menggunakan teknik uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hipotesis tidak diterima yaitu tidak adanya hubungan work-family conflict terhadap keterlibatan kerja dan tidak ada hubungan family-work conflict terhadap keterlibatan kerja.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether social comparison can moderate the influence between social media addiction to depression in Instagram user. Hypotesis of this study is social comparison can moderate the influence of social media addiction toward depression in Instagram users. This study is a quantitative research and data are collected using depression scale “Beck Depression Inventory Second Edition”, social media modified scale “Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale”, and social comparison scale “Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure”. The scales were spread across 98 subjects. The result show that social comparison can not moderate the influence of social media addiction towards depression (R2 = 0.045; p = 0.912; p > 0.05), because social comparison are not always negative, so social comparison did not strengthen or weaken the influence of social media addiction toward depression in Instagram users

The dynamic phenomenon of EO requires collaboration between members to run events, especially when facing conflicts that arise. The collaborative conflict management style can be referred to as a solution-orientation conflict management. In connection with this phenomenon, personal development competitive attitude and organizational citizenship behavior is known to play a role in improving conflict management solution-orientation among EO employees. This research is a quantitative study with multiple regression design. The population of this study were event organizer employees in Surabaya. The sample in this study amounted to 114 event organizer employees obtained through online surveys. The sampling technique used accidental sampling. This study uses a personal development competitive attitude scale (PDCA) designed by Ryckman et al. (1996), Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale (OCB) designed by Podsakof et al. (1990), and the Organizational Communication Conflict Instrument (OCCI) designed by Putnam et al. (1982). The results of hypothesis testing state the role of personal development competitive attitude and organizational citizenship behavior in conflict management solution-orientation. In this study the variable organizational citizenship behavior has a bigger role than personal development competitive attitude. The results of the research can be used as knowledge and input for the company and EO employees.

This study aims to determine the correlation between attitudes toward cultural differences with turnover intention in employees company X. the hypothesis in this study there is significant negative relation between attitudes toward cultural differences and turnover intention in employees company X. the subject in this studying were 55 employees from company X. The data obtained using aattitudes toward cultural difference scale and a scale of turnover intention. The result showed a value of ρ =-0.738 with p = 0.000 (p<0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant negative correlation between attitudes toward cultural differences and turnover intention in employee company X. So, the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted.

Adolescent is impotant to build a teenager’s personality, because their social-emotional-physical development starts and ends at adolescent phase. One of the important factor that can build teenager is empathy. Empathy is a response of understanding feelings and know the reason behind the feelings, empathy consists of affective and cognitive component. Right now, empathy on teenagers is stunted because of social media that can influence them into having low empathy, seeing news that’s full with hoax and teenage violence. This study’s purpose is to know the correlation between social media addiction tendency and empathy on teenagers in Surabaya. The participants were chosen using purposive sampling technique. The normality test was not fulfilled, so researcher use non-parametric statistical technique (Kendall’s Tau-b). The result shows significancy score = 0,000 (p < 0.05) and correlation score (r) = 0,106. With that, it can be concluded that there is a positive correlation between social media addiction tendency and empathy on teenagers in Surabaya.
