Knowledge and the languages devised for its expression and circulation within communities evolve and drift with the times. The emergence of a new paradigm for technology, economy and society, based on information and knowledge, naturally brings along the need to rearrange and rethink our perception of how the diverse fields and disciplines are organised and classified, how they communicate and interact. A descriptive understanding of the realm of knowledge (as an “archipelago”) is discussed, enhancing its reticular character and its operation as a network that does not postulate any common origin or hierarchy. This metaphor is better adapted to map knowledge in a world of intensive communication and networking processes.

In the event of industrial revolution 4.0, commonly known as the "Age of Disruption", several challenges and opportunities arise and affect various aspects of human life. With no exception in the field of science which gave birth to a new paradigm in the realm of philosophy of science. The Faculty of Ushuluddin as the core of the University of Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo is also in need of evaluation and improvement in order to answer the challenges and to take advantage of these opportunities. A firm construction of the Faculty’s epistemology requires a massive revitalization in many aspects. In this paper, the author describes the aspects that need special attention by using Gavin Moodie's perspective to produce a comprehensive map for the aspects that support the continuity of higher education in the age of disruption. Revitalization by the Faculty of Ushuluddin would include the aspects of learning system, educational components, students, human resources, and literacy. The learning system needs to utilize a wide range of supporting digital media that the students are familiar with. The educational components which comprise the facility and infrastructure to support learning activities from classrooms, classrooms’ layouts, dormitories, equipment, and management in the faculty also receives very intense attention in accordance with the times. Students need to be equipped with 10 basic skills needed by the world and society today, these skills include the ability of metacognition, which is the ability of advance thinking. To achieve the previous profile, it is necessary to provide, guide and develop educators (HR) and to be supported by a new literacy movement that includes digital, technological, and human literacy. All of these revitalization efforts are still based on the philosophy of life of the Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School, it is “the preservation of good traditions and adoption of a better innovation.

This essay highlights the role of historical avant-gardes in shaping film discourse. This role was vital for the recognition of cinema as an art form, as well as for the constitution of a visual and textual discourse that came to be reflected in the Institutional Mode of Representation – Hollywood film from the 1920s to the 1940s. To realize the importance of artistic movements in the creation of new paradigms for art at large, it is necessary to understand their principles and the context in which a new way of looking and reflecting on the world came about. The promotion of authentic and efficient film literacy requires focusing on the era in which cinema began. Only by examining the 19th century more deeply can we perceive what lies beyond that invention of the Lumière brothers. The essay shows that cinema was not only inscribed in the times from which it emerged but that it also launched a new paradigm that the arts of the 20th century were yet to discover.

Introduction. The global economy has been shaken by a wave of protectionism, which has led to trade restrictions and a deterioration in world trade and GDP. The spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 has put the international community in a state of uncertainty and unpredictability, and world trade in a state of crisis due to a record rate of decline. Sharp confrontations in trade relations between world leaders have called into question the ability of international arbitrators, such as the WTO, to resolve trade disputes on the basis of existing rules and agreements reached. Today, WTO members recognize the need to reform the organization. The purpose of the article is to research the role of the World Trade Organization in countering the spread of protectionist policies and the COVID-19 pandemic. Results. Modern tendencies of world trade and pragmatism of introduction of trade restrictions are considered. The key problems of the WTO institutional crisis are revealed and the need for its reform is determined. Conclusions. The WTO needs to be reformed in order to a more flexible structure that will better meet the demands of the times and perform its core functions more effectively, in particular, providing mechanisms for settling international trade disputes and developing and adopting world trade standards. Effective WTO reforms, the resumption of dialogue between members and the choice of achievable goals are the basis of a multilateral trading system that meets the needs of today’s digital economy and promotes economic growth. The result of WTO reforms should not be a new paradigm that is not based on trade liberalization, but the development of corrective tools that will support the benefits of this institution, meet current and future needs.

Academic considerations on the topic of political marketing very often boil down to discussing the political history of the 20th and 21st centuries, while failing to account for the significant changes in the range of instruments used to implement election strategies. However, the academic discussion about political marketing as an applied sub-discipline should take into account some mechanisms for accomplishing specified tasks. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to fill this gap and try to examine the influence of the tools based on big data on the broad picture of what we name marketing activities in the field of politics. We would like to present readers with our hypothesis that the profound changes in this area that were particularly noticeable in the election and referendum campaigns in 2016 may provide a premise to identify a new paradigm in the discussion on the use of marketing strategies in political communication. It would be based on the Internet combining the function of a communication channel and a source of data about voters. This information is next used for marketing purposes. It should be emphasized that this mechanism that has been used in the field of commercial activities for almost a decade, in the field of politics produces completely new and potentially dangerous consequences for citizens

Educators are very important in their efforts to achieve the desired learning goals in the activities of the teaching and learning process. While students act as subjects as well as objects in applying strategies, models and learning methods. Various ways can be done by the teacher/lecturer to be able to convey information to students (knowledge transfer), both in the form of learning related to teaching materials or insightful ones globally. The process of transferring knowledge with the classical/traditional method can no longer be maintained, because students who are expected by the community are intelligent students who are responsive to the development of the times, and not just as spectators and listeners. The breakthrough offered by observers of education is with a new concept, namely the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, this learning model is not just a process of transferring knowledge from teacher to student, but students can do, try and reconstruct their own teaching materials based on problems existing in the educational environment. Changing the old paradigm that states that every problem must be avoided, but changing it into a new paradigm, that a problem must be faced and the solution sought as soon as possible, so also in the process of teaching and learning activities that give birth to effective, creative and innovative learning.
