The ability to attract prey has long been considered a universal trait of carnivorous plants. We review studies from the past 25 years that have investigated the mechanisms by which carnivorous plants attract prey to their traps. Potential attractants include nectar, visual, olfactory, and acoustic cues. Each of these has been well documented to be effective in various species, but prey attraction is not ubiquitous among carnivorous plants. Directions for future research, especially in native habitats in the field, include: the qualitative and quantitative analysis of visual cues, volatiles, and nectar; temporal changes in attractants; synergistic action of combinations of attractants; the cost of attractants; and responses to putative attractants in electroantennograms and insect behavioral tests.

Over the past 30 years, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry has become one of the more valuable methods for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of materials. Today, there are many methods of instrumental analysis available, and among the factors that will be taken into account in the method of selection are: -Accuracy-Range of application-Speed-Sensitivity-ReliabilityNo one technique can provide all of the features that a given analyst requires. XRF does offer good overall performance over the widest range of elements. Speed, accuracy, and versatility are among the features that have made XRF the method of choice for over 15,000 laboratories worldwide.

The article presents the results of a comprehensive psychological and psychiatric examination of 117 minor victims of sexual violence and abuse. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of cases of sexual violence and abuse against minors was used, depending on the degree of the victims ' ability to understand the nature and significance of the illegal sexual acts committed with them and to resist them. The comparison criteria are identified: the type of violence and abuse, the age of the victim, the presence of a mental disorder in the victim, and the features of interaction in the "victim – assailant" dyad. 4 groups of victims are described, which differ in the degree of understanding of the criminal situation and the ability to resist, and indicators of victimization and victim behavior of children and adolescents are highlighted. The prospects for future research are outlined, which can improve the effectiveness of expert conclusions and preventive measures.

The article aims to research the relationships of the actual well-being of students with their experience of participating in bullying at school age.The materials of qualitative and quantitative analysis of empirical data obtained on a sample of 274 students of the Moscow university (average age M=19.2, 20% men) are presented. The methods used were the Scale of Well-being, the Scale of Authenticity, the Scale of Depression, the Scale of Experiences in Close Relationships, as well as several questions about the experience of bullying in school. The results show that the frequency of school bullying and the role, played in these situations in the past, are significantly associated with the current level of depression and anxiety and avoidance in close relationships. It is also shown that, according to self-reports, the experience of bullying in school can be followed by delayed negative consequences, manifested in difficulties in self-attitude and relationships with other people, physical and mental disorders, as well as problems with social achievements.A comparison of the experience of socialization in school and university shows that there are different trajectories of experiencing one’s well-being within an educational organization: a university can become a resource environment after a difficult school experience; it can be perceived as a more formal space after close-knit communication in school; and a school and a university can be perceived as environments similar in friendliness or, conversely, in hostility.

The advancements in human lifestyle result in growth in daily demands of products, and accordingly, an increased rate of manufacturing. However, the resources on the planet Earth are limited, thus depleting day-by-day. More goods also contribute to more end-of-life (EOL) dumping or even before EOL in some cases. Therefore, an interest in remanufacturing has appeared, and it offers a solution that can solve or perhaps mitigate the risks of consuming more resources and increasing waste. Remanufacturing is a procedure of bringing used products to “like-new” functional status with a matching warranty. However, due to its relative novelty in terms of research field and industry, remanufacturing is poorly understood. People often mix it with other terms such as recycling, reconditioning, or repair. Therefore, in this research, the focus is on the remanufacturing systems’ definition, relevance, main phases, case studies, and solution methods proposed by various researchers. The word ‘remanufacturing’ is clearly described in this paper by differentiating it from alternative green manufacturing initiatives. Both qualitative and quantitative analysis of literature are performed. The quantitative analysis is conducted using a bibliometric method. For quantitative analysis, a systematic approach is utilized for research papers’ selection. The qualitative analysis has been carried out by discussing different aspects of remanufacturing and how the researchers are working on its different domains and phases. The review showed that researchers focused on some phases more as compared with others. Moreover, it is also revealed from the literature that the common solutions methods applied in this domain are optimization techniques. Future research directions are also identified and presented.

The literature currently lacks a psychometrically valid and reliable assessment tool that adequately measures the fat talk construct. This research aimed to use qualitative data gathered from young adult women to guide development of a fat talk measure. In Study 1, 14 individuals participated in fat talk themed focus groups or individual interviews. In Study 2, 257 participants completed questionnaires measuring fat talk and theoretically related (e.g., body image) and unrelated (e.g., 'academic talk') constructs. In a preliminary analysis, the newly-developed Fat Talk Questionnaire was found to be reliable and valid. In future research, the Fat Talk Questionnaire should be refined to further improve its psychometric properties.

As the market size of the video industry continues to grow by 3.6 times increased in the past five years, more and more companies adopt video marketing. Under this circumstance, it is meaningful and important to discuss the marketing issues in this industry. The objective of this study is to clarify the definition, problems and countermeasures of video marketing. Literature was obtained through data retrieval, and the data was aggregated and analyzed by induction. Findings show that the problems of video marketing cover the laws, suppliers, buyers, competitors, and content technical issues. And we suggest that the future research can try to verify the key points of STP analysis (segmentation, targeting, and positioning), marketing mix, as well as the cost-benefit analysis in video marketing.

With increasingly improved separation of complex samples and detection of unknown material capabilities, liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS) has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) research. This article describes the principles of liquid chromatography (LC) and mass spectrometry (MS) and their advantages and disadvantages in qualitative and quantitative analysis of TCM. We retrieved research literatures about the application of LC-MS in TCM published during the past five years at home and abroad. To better guide the analysis of TCM, this review mainly focuses on the applications category of LC-MS, how often different kinds of LC-MS are used, and the qualitative and quantitative ability of various LC-MS in the study of TCM.

- Over the past few years literature on program evaluation has been studying multistakeholder evaluation, but training evaluation models and practices still do not seem aware of this problem. The present study identifies intersections between methodologies and approaches of participatory evaluation and typical techniques and evaluation tools used for training. This study focuses on understanding the evaluation needs of the stakeholders classes typically involved in a training program. A training program financed by the European Social Fund in Italy has been studied, both with qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The results suggest that different stakeholders classes have different evaluation needs and, in operative terms, highlight the convergence and divergence between stakeholders' evaluation needs. Implications for future research and practice are discussed.
