This study qualitatively examined the congruence between anticipated and experienced stressors and coping, and approaches to coping by elite adolescent swimmers across a competitive season. Eight swimmers were interviewed before and after 4 swim meets in a season. Data collection and analysis were guided by theories of stress and coping. Accuracy of anticipating stressors was low, and the stressors and coping strategies were variable across the season. Idiographic profiles were created for each athlete and grouped according to similar characteristics. Three groups included athletes who (a) generally perceived stressors as something to be avoided, (b) generally perceived stressors as problems to be solved, or (c) generally perceived swimming as fun and minimally stressful. These patterns appeared to be associated with anticipating stressors, highlighting the complex and dynamic nature of stress and coping among adolescent athletes.

In this article the status of teaching as a profession and the morale of teachers in Australian schools in the current era provide a framework for the examination of the intent and outcomes of teaching excellence awards. The research study applied an interpretive research paradigm and used both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The methodology and the theoretical framework were based on organisational and sociological paradigms. Data informing the study were collected from 44 award recipients and 57 of their colleagues between the years 2000 and 2002. Documentation relating to the promotion and process of awards was also examined. The introduction of teaching excellence awards into the school education sector is found to be a reflection of the economic era in which the current education system is situated. The paper concludes that the awards process may be potentially politically manipulative.

With the currently available data, health care and the government makes guidelines and fights against this pandemic. The cooperation of the public is highly important to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.Methods: A web based cross-sectional survey was conducted among 519 participants using convenience snowballing technique to assess the awareness, anxiety, and coping strategies regarding COVID-19 from 14 May 2020 to 24 May 2020. The validated online Google form questionnaire consisted of demographic variables, questionnaire related to awareness on COVID-19, anxiety related to COVID-19, and coping strategies. The analysis was done using both the descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The majority of them were graduates and postgraduates. And 78% of them reported that no COVID-19 positive cases were identified in their area. The awareness score was 7.47±1.37 (median=8, range: 1-10). And the overall anxiety regarding COVID-19 was 47.74±11.58 (Range 17-85). On average, participants practiced 4 coping strategies ranged from 1-8 mainly ‘talking to friends and family’ and ‘taking care of diet’.  Awareness was positively correlated with behavioral anxiety (r=0.103, p=0.019) and the number of coping strategies used (r=0.146, p=0.001).Conclusions: The study showed that awareness was positively associated with hand washing, social distancing which are the parts of preventive activities. In this chapter, the authors investigate the issue of gathering network-related social data by means of both qualitative and quantitative methodology. An overview of the most relevant visual approaches such as network pictures and different kinds of network maps (“paper and pencil”, “paper, pen, and tokens,” and “digital network maps”) will be given, including an example of a migration study in which a network survey was carried out with the aid of the software program VennMaker. Finally, the authors discuss the advantages and disadvantages of data collection based on digital network maps and make suggestions for future research.

Summary. In recent decades, the concept of special educational needs used in the international literature has changed and expanded. Conceptual approach to inclusion initially covered students with different disabilities, now it includes several other groups, and the relevant regulations also differ from one member state of the European Union to another. In line with EU objectives, inclusion in the education systems of several countries is increasing, which is similar in many aspects and may differ in some other aspects. Changing conceptual approaches also have an impact on problem identification. Our paper gives an overview of qualitative and quantitative data of European data collection, as well as presents the proper Hungarian processes.

The main problem in the management of the floodplain of Lake Tempe is the weak involvement of affected communities in disaster management. The purpose of this research is to comprehensively analyze and map stakeholders in managing floodplain. The penta helix concept is used in stakeholder mapping. This research applied mixed methods, qualitative and quantitative. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews with various parties who understand the problem of research and direct observation "pre", "whilst", and "post" a disaster occured. Affected communities are found to be an important part of the disaster management stage. Affected communities, who have been the object of disaster, should be the subject of disaster management. The recommendation for the results of this research is that the concept of five stakeholders in penta helix was not sufficient in disaster management. Affected communities deserve to be placed as one of the stakeholders, in addition to the government, business world, universities, NGOs, mass media. This six-stakeholder concept is called "hexa helix".  Key words: Stakeholders Mapping, Penta Helix, Flood Disaster Management, Lake Tempe.
