The study assessed the peace processes under the concept of Restorative Justice in Cordillera Administrate Region (CAR). Restorative Justice (RJ) is a means to heal, not punish, the harm caused by one person to another. It is a process which allows the harmed party to participate in the decisions which are made to heal the harm caused them. The study used the Individual Positivism Theory to analyze the use of RJ in CAR. Through Descriptive Survey Method, the level of attainment of the goals and objectives of peace processes was measured based on the responses of the three groups of respondents in the study namely: (a) Stakeholders (victims, complainants, respondents, witnesses, and the community); (b) Barangay Peace and Order Council (BPOC) (Lupong Tagapamayapa chaired by the Punong Barangay [Barangay Officials] and Council of Elders); and (c) PNP organic personnel. Hence, study showed that RJ through indigenous method of conflict resolution played a significant role in preserving Unity, Peace and Order, and Justice in the community most especially among families, relatives, or clans in CAR.

The scientific article contains a survey on digital media literacy of Universitas Airlangga students which was conducted with the aim of knowing the understanding of students from all universities in Indonesia regarding digital media, and to find out how high the individual level of competence of students in Indonesia is in digital media literacy, as well as to find out the factors what influences the level of competent individuals regarding digital media literacy. This research was conducted using a descriptive survey method and using descriptive statistical data analysis techniques to analyze the research data. The results of the study revealed that: 1). The understanding of students in Indonesia regarding digital literacy is in the medium category, 2). The competent individual level of Indonesian students in digital media literacy is at the basic level, 3). The factors that influence the level of competent individuals related to digital media literacy are mainly family environmental factors.

This research involved a comprehensive review of a graduate program’s competence for enhancements responsive and relevant to the standards of the new educational landscape and of the employment agencies’ growing needs and demands. Descriptive survey method embedding interview was used to address the objectives. Employing total enumeration, 70% retrieval rate of the instrument administered was recorded. Statistical and thematic analyses revealed that the MA- ESL degree, as similarly concluded, is contributory to the professional advancement of the graduates as supported by the high employment rating obtained consistent with the graduates’ regular status in professional occupational classifications and business lines. Significantly, the school- related factors were generally found very relevant- giving premium to curriculum, goals and objectives, and faculty and instruction. The work- related values on the other hand were rated highly useful- assessing perseverance and hard work of utmost importance. Of the general competencies, communication, knowledge and technical, and research were primarily found useful. Meanwhile, the feedback derived from the graduates, crosschecked with the above results, provided quality and timely enhancement measures. It is then forwarded that the proposed plan highlighting specific measures in the areas of curriculum and faculty and instruction may be adopted and accorded periodic evaluation.

The study presents an analysis of the conflict resolution process in the Aceh conflict between the government of Indonesia (GoI) and the Free Aceh Movement (“Gerekan Aceh Merdeka” or GAM). Starting with unofficial efforts by the Indonesian side from mid-2003, which eventually led the parties to the negotiation table and to the signing of the Helsinki Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in August 2005, the peace process put an end to the 30-year conflict over the independence of Aceh. The peaceful resolution of the Aceh conflict will be examined using readiness theory, which posits the factors that lead parties to negotiate and indicates which factors contribute to success in reaching a mutual agreement. The aim of this study is twofold. The first aim is to better understand the factors that led to the MoU. The second aim of this research is to offer a systematic examination of the assumptions of readiness theory, which have been the subject of few case studies to date. The study's findings indicate that the Aceh process was characterized by an increase in the parties’ level of readiness – to the point of being fully ready to sign an agreement. In the pre-negotiation phase the motivation of both parties increased significantly, while the level of optimism rose moderately on the part of the GoI but not GAM, whereas during the negotiations motivation as well as optimism increased significantly on both sides. Nevertheless, the application of readiness theory to the case study also gives rise to a number of questions regarding the theory's hypotheses and scientific status.

Exchanges of expertise and experience between personnel involved in different peace processes are now a common feature of peacemaking worldwide. However, the goals, methods and impact of such interactions have been subject to little research. This article is the first scholarly analysis of what is here called ‘comparative consultation’. The article begins by conceptualising this work as a unique form of Track Two unofficial diplomacy, sharing the practical format and theoretical grounding of other Track Two approaches but differing in content. The empirical section is based on semi-structured interviews with 16 practitioners – primarily conflict resolution non-governmental organisation personnel and academics – who have facilitated dialogues on peace process topics (such as negotiation, transitional justice, grassroots peacebuilding) between peace process actors at various levels and from many contexts. It also draws on the author’s participation in a series of comparative consultation events. The findings focus on aspects of the organisation, purpose and potential, and limitations and possible risks of the practice. The conclusion sets out a model of the dimensions and potential impacts of comparative consultation and argues for its recognition as a distinct peace methodology. Avenues for further research and practice are outlined.

Organizational identification is conventionally defined as a sense of oneness. Yet this is static and inhibits a process view of identification, in which organizational identity is continuously adjusted. Most studies of organizational identification are of members and not stakeholders, despite evidence that suggests that stakeholders have a significant role and that organizational identity and image are reciprocally connected. We ask the question: how is organizational identification discursively constructed? We suggest that stakeholders play a key role in organizational identification processes. The forward movement of the process, from Performative to Instrumental to Interactional to Reciprocal, is one of reinforcement in which soft power enrols a virtuous circle of willing support. The backward movement of the process, from Reciprocal to Interactional to Instrumental to Performative, is one of functional justification involving hard power as coercion by communicating the organization’s expectations to the individual.

Abstract Women’s greater presence in informal peace processes is often noted in works on peace processes, but there has been little systematic evidence about this involvement. This article is the first systematic study of women’s participation in informal peace processes. We find that women are a significant presence in civil society efforts to forge peace outside formal negotiation rooms: nearly three-fourths of identifiable informal peace processes have clear evidence of involvement from women’s groups. This research indicates that women advocate to be included in formal peace processes, work to legitimate formal negotiations and organize for peace, advocate for the inclusion of women’s rights issues in the final peace agreement, provide information on human rights violations to participants in the formal peace process, engage in local conflict resolution, and advocate as partisans for one or another side in the conflict.

Holy Name University (HNU) just like any other academic institution is largely dependent on community trust, employees’ loyalty and collaborative efforts in order to attain its goals and objectives. However in the past few years, the administration noticed that there were lapses in addressing societal concerns and collaborative efforts among HNU’s various stakeholders which in a way affected the operations of the school. It is within this context that this study was made. The primary aim of the study was to assess HNU’s practices in terms of corporate citizenship and governance in order to design schemes to enhance its implementation and ensure its continued success. The study used the descriptive survey method. The findings showed that except for promoting environmental sustainability, all the components of corporate citizenship and governance were manifested and adhered to a great extent. In the light of these findings, the proponent concluded that while HNU upheld and integrated CSR and governance in its operations, there were certain aspects of the processes that needed to be enhanced to fulfill its obligations expected of it by its various stakeholders.   Keywords – corporate citizenship, governance, ethical behavior, internal control, risk management

The current social changes like urbanization, unemployment and competitiveness and various factors in the developing country led to various psychological problems among the individual. According to WHO the people suffer from depression more than 264 million; there may be a various cause for depression, but the stress and anxiety play a very important role in depression. The life time prevalence of depression, anxiety and stress among young adults around the world is currently estimated to range from 5% to 70%, the reviews motivated researchers to Assess the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Among Adults. Objectives are. (1) To assess the depression, anxiety and stress among adults in selected areas of Pune city. (2) To associate the findings with selected demographic variables.A non-experimental descriptive survey method was used.200 sample who met the sampling criteria were included. The standardised tool DASS 21 used. During Data collection ethical considerations like informed written consent, confidentiality was incorporated. In this present study54% sample have extremely severe anxiety; 34% sample have moderate depression and 43% sample have normal stress level. Detecting depressive, anxiety, and stress-related symptoms in adults is a critical preventive strategy, which can help in preventing and minimizing the major health related issues like hypertension, cardiovascular diseases etc. and mental health disorders like substance abuse and antisocial behaviours etc in later lives.

Neste artigo, buscamos entender as implicações das relações de gênero para a resolução de conflitos armados e as possíveis contribuições resultantes da inclusão de mulheres nos processos de paz. À luz das teorias feministas das Relações Internacionais, propomos a hipótese de que não se pode compreender amplamente as dinâmicas de um conflito armado sem considerar a influência das relações de gênero para a sua eclosão e continuidade e, por conseguinte, não se pode implementar medidas de resolução que sejam plenamente eficientes. Mais do que isso, sugerimos que as mulheres sejam parte ativa dos esforços de construção da paz  para que esse processo  se torne mais representativo e possa responder também às fontes de insegurança feminina.Palavras-chave: Resolução de conflitos; Construção da paz; Mulheres.ABSTRACTIn this article, we seek to understand the implications of gender relations for the resolution of armed conflicts and the possible contributions resulting from the inclusion of women in peace processes. In the light of feminist theories of International Relations, we propose the hypothesis that one cannot fully understand the dynamics of armed conflict without considering the influence of gender relations for its outbreak and continuity and, therefore, resolution measures that are fully efficient cannot be implemented. Cognitive styles are the consistent patterns of organising and processing information. It describes how the individual acquires knowledge (cognition) and processes information (conceptualisation). The present study is an attempt to study the relationship between cognitive styles and scientific attitude among adolescents. The sample comprised 400 adolescents from government and private schools in the four districts of Punjab. The Districts, schools and the adolescents were selected by using a simple random sampling technique. A descriptive survey method was employed. The findings of the study indicate that there is a significant and positive relationship between cognitive styles and scientific attitude among adolescents with respect to gender, locale and type of institution.
