The study investigates the difference in the Locus of Control and Resilience with respect to different levels of Internet Addiction as well as their impact on Internet Addiction among emerging adults. It assesses Internet Addiction levels, investigates the association between Internet Addiction, Locus of Control and Resilience and analyses gender difference. Internet Addiction Test by Young, Locus of Control (LOC-Scale) Scale developed by Rotter (1966) and The Brief Resilience Scale were used. Pearson’s product-moment correlation analysis was used to evaluate the association between Internet Addiction, Locus of Control and Resilience. An independent t-test was used to test whether there is a statistical difference between gender and internet addiction at different levels. One-way ANOVA was used to investigate the gender difference in Internet Addiction, Locus of Control and Resilience respectively. The research findings show that there is a significant relationship between Internet Addiction, Locus of Control and Resilience as well as significant gender difference in Internet Addiction. A significant difference in Resilience among the different levels of Internet Addiction was also found in the study.

Background:Gender differences in prevalence and disease course are known in various rheumatic diseases; however, investigations of gender difference concerning therapeutical response have yielded variable results. Objectives:The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate, whether a gender difference in response rate to biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs) and apremilast in bDMARD-naïve patients could be observed across the three most prevalent inflammatory arthritis diseases: rheumatoid arthritis (RA), spondylarthritis (SpA) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Additionally, a response to individual TNF blockers was investigated in this respect. Methods:Data from bDMARD-naïve RA-, SpA- and PsA-patients from Bioreg, the Austrian registry for biological DMARDs in rheumatic diseases, were used. Patients with a baseline (Visit 1=V1) and follow-up visits at 6 months (Visit 2=V2) and 12 months (Visit 3=V3) were included and response to therapy with TNF-inhibitors (TNFi), furthermore to therapy with rituximab, tocilizumab and apremilast was analyzed according to gender. The remaining bDMARDs were not analyzed due to small numbers. Key response-parameter for RA was disease activity score (DAS28), whereas for PsoA the Stockerau Activity Score for Psoriatic Arthritis (SASPA) and for SpA the Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI) were employed; in addition, the Health assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) was used. Data were analyzed in R Statistic stratified by gender using Kruskal-Wallis and Wilcoxon tests.Results:354 women and 123 men with RA (n=477), 81 women and 69 men with PsA (n=150), 121 women and 191 men with SpA (n=312) were included. No significant differences in biometrics was seen between female and male patients at baseline in all diseases. In RA patients overall DAS28 decreased from baseline (V1) to V2 and V3 (DAS28: V1: male: 4.38 [3.66, 5.11], female: 4.30 [3.68, 5.03], p(m/f) = 0.905; V2: male: 2.66 [1.73, 3.63], female: 3.10 [2.17, 3.98], p(m/f) = 0.015; V3: male: 2.25 [1.39, 3.36], female: 3.01 [1.87, 3.87], p(m/f) = 0.002). For TNF inhibitors (n=311), there was a significant difference between genders at V2 (Fig.1a). Patients receiving Rituximab (n=41) displayed a significantly higher DAS28 at baseline in females, which diminished in the follow up: V1: (p(m/f) p=0.002; V2: p=0.019; V3: p=0.13); response to tocilizumab (n=63) did not show any gender differences. In PsA patients overall SASPA decreased from baseline (V1) to V2 and V3 (SASPA: V1: male: 4.00 [2.80, 5.20], female: 4.40 [2.80, 5.80], p(m/f) = 0.399; V2: male: 2.20 [1.20, 3.50], female: 3.40 [2.00, 5.00], p(m/f) = 0.071; V3: male: 1.80 [0.80, 2.70], female: 3.01 [2.35, 4.80], p(m/f) = 0.001). For TNF inhibitors (n=79), there was a significant difference between genders at V3 (Fig 1a). For Apremilast (n=39), there was a significant difference between genders at V2 (Fig.1c).In SpA patients overall BASDAI decreased from baseline (V1) to V2 and V3 (BASDAI: V1: male: 4.70 [2.88, 6.18], female: 4.80 [3.30, 6.20], p(m/f) = 0.463; V2: male: 3.05 [2.00, 4.60], female: 3.64 [2.62, 5.41], p(m/f) = 0.039; V3: male: 3.02 [1.67, 4.20], female: 3.65 [2.18, 5.47], p(m/f) = 0.016). In V3 a differential BASDAI in response to TNFi (n=299) was observed (Fig.1a).Possible differences of response to individual TNFi (etanercept, infliximab, other TNFi) measured by HAQ were investigated in all diseases together. The difference between male and females was significant at baseline for all 3 TNFi; whereas with the use of ETA the significant difference was carried through to V2 and V3, it was lost with the use of IFX and was variable with the other TNFi (Fig.1b)Figure 1.Conclusion:Female patients showed a statistically lower response to TNFi in all three disease entities (RA, SpA and PsoA) to a variable degree in our homogenous central european population. Interestingly, the difference was not uniform across individual TNFi when measured by HAQ. Gender differences were also seen in response to Apremilast.Disclosure of Interests:Elisabeth Loibner: None declared, Valentin Ritschl: None declared, Burkhard Leeb Speakers bureau: AbbVie, Roche, MSD, Pfizer, Actiopharm, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Kwizda, Celgene, Sandoz, Grünenthal, Eli-Lilly, Grant/research support from: TRB, Roche, Consultancies: AbbVie, Amgen, Roche, MSD, Pfizer, Celgene, Grünenthal, Kwizda, Eli-Lilly, Novartis, Sandoz;, Peter Spellitz: None declared, Gabriela Eichbauer-Sturm: None declared, Jochen Zwerina: None declared, Manfred Herold: None declared, Miriam Stetter: None declared, Rudolf Puchner Speakers bureau: AbbVie, BMS, Janssen, Kwizda, MSD, Pfizer, Celgene, Grünenthal, Eli-Lilly, Consultant of: AbbVie, Amgen, Pfizer, Celgene, Grünenthal, Eli-Lilly, Franz Singer: None declared, Ruth Fritsch-Stork: None declared

Abstract Background Blockade of the pudendal nerve (PN) using ultrasound (US) guidance has been described at the levels of the ischial spine and Alcock’s canal. However, no study has been conducted to compare anatomical accuracy between different approaches in targeting the PN. Objective To investigate the accuracy of US-guided injection of the PN at the ischial spine and Alcock’s canal levels. This study also compared the accuracy of the infiltrations by three sonographers with different levels of experience. Subjects Eight Thiel-embalmed cadavers (16 hemipelvises). Methods Three physiatrists trained in musculoskeletal US imaging with 12 years, five years, and one year of experience performed the injections. Each injected a 0.1-mL bolus of colored dye in both hemipelvises of each cadaver at the ischial spine and Alcock’s canal levels under US guidance. Each cadaver received three injections per hemipelvis. The accuracy of the injection was determined following hemipelvis dissection by an anatomist. Results The injections were accurate 33 times out of the total 42 attempts, resulting in 78% accuracy. Sixteen out of 21 injections at the ischial spine level were on target (76% accuracy), while the approach at Alcock’s canal level yielded 17 successful injections (81% accuracy). The difference between the approaches was not statistically significant. There was also no significant difference in accuracy between the operators. Conclusions US-guided injection of the PN can be performed accurately at both the ischial spine and Alcock’s canal levels. The difference between the approaches was not statistically significant.

Swallowing of amniotic fluid alters the volume of the fetal stomach; therefore an abnormal fetal stomach size can be indicative of pathology. Previous studies have used linear measurements on ultrasound to approximate stomach sizes. Fetal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) allows for volumetric measurement of the stomach. The objective of this study was to develop a library of normal fetal stomach volumes on MRI at each gestational age. We also sought to measure stomach volumes of fetuses with esophageal atresia and compare to normal volumes at similar gestation ages (GA).  A retrospective review of fetal MRIs from patients 20-38 weeks GA was conducted.  Exclusion criteria for the controls included any impairment that would impede swallowing or alter stomach sizes.  Patients with esophageal atresia were identified and postnatal records were reviewed to confirm the diagnosis. The stomach volume was measured on T2-weighted imaging using Phillips Intellispace software. The stomach volumes of the controls at each GA were compared using one-way ANOVA with Games-Howell Post-Hoc (p<0.05).  The stomach volume in esophageal atresia was compared to controls using a T-test (p<0.001).    185 control studies, 10 at each week of gestation, and 8 patients with esophageal atresia were included. For normal fetuses, there was a trend of increased stomach size and broadened standard deviation with increasing GA.  No significant difference was found between any two sequential weeks, however the difference in second and third trimester volumes was significant (p<0.001).   The patients with esophageal atresia had significantly smaller stomach volumes compared to control patients of the same GA range (p<0.001).   This pilot study established reference values for fetal stomach volume, which was found to increase with GA. The stomach volume is significantly smaller in patients with esophageal atresia.  Thus, esophageal atresia can be identified prenatally, allowing for delivery at an appropriate acuity NICU and early intervention.

The first technique that starts the match in volleyball is service. It has been known that benefiting efficiently from the service as the first hitting attack in each period of the match is remarkable. However, it has also been emphasized in the study carried out by Marcelino et al. that managing the scores especially at the end of the set and match are more important for the trainers and players. For that reason, it is considered that trainers’ including target-specific service work-outs in training programs will be the most remarkable factor for winning the game (Marcelino, Sampaio et al., 2012)The purpose of this study was to examine the change of service efficiency after the 20th scores according to nationality and positions in 2017-2018 Volleyball Sultanlar League session. Into the study, totally 134 female players including natives (n=94) and foreigners (n=40) from 12 teams between 26 and 30 years old (28.25±1,62) were included. The numbers of the services performed after the 20th scores of 17.918 rallies in 496 sets (except from the 5th set) of 125 matches played by 12 teams during the session were evaluated. All matches were recorded with a video recorder by the researcher, and the videos were analyzed by the experts in 3 repetitions. The service error, service as the free ball, bad service, good service, service ace and total number of service after the 20th scores during the match were recorded in numbers. Lilliefors Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test indicated whether the study data were appropriate for the normal distribution or not (p<.05). In data analysis, descriptive statistics such as number, percentage, arithmetic average and standard deviation were used; and Independent Samples T-Test and One-Way Variance Analysis (One-Way ANOVA) were used for determining the difference between dependent and independent variables. While interpreting the data, 0.01 and 0.05 were accepted as the level of significance. The research data were analyzed using SPSS 21 statistical software. As result of the findings obtained at the end of the study, it was determined that there were significant differences except from the service as the free ball in terms of the Turkish players and foreign-national players (p<0.05). No significant difference was noticed in terms of service error, service as the free ball, bad service, good service, service ace and total number of service after the 20th scores during the session depending upon the positions of the players (p>.05). As a result, it is determined that foreign players serve more effectively than native players at 20th points which is named as golden points.Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.ÖzetVoleybolda müsabakayı başlatan ilk teknik servistir.

Motivation is the major contributor to the students’ learning English as a second language. However, varying reasons have been suggested by different researchers and theorists to explain the reasons and dimensions of this motivation. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate the motivation to learn English as a foreign language (EFL) among 157 Saudi Arabian university students. The instrument used for the analysis was a modified version of the motivation scale developed by Wen (1997), which measures motivation based on six subscales: integrative, instrumental, effort, valence, expectation, and ability. In addition, students’ motivation was compared among students with different English language levels using multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) on six motivation subscales. The results of the MANOVA revealed that there was no significant difference among students of different levels of English knowledge when each level was compared separately. Nevertheless, when comparing a merged group of students with English level knowledge of 1st to 3rd with the group of 4th level, the motivation of the latter group was statistically significantly higher. Furthermore, the difference in mean values was significant for integrative, effort, valence, and ability subscales. Thus, the findings of this research depicted that instrumental and integrative motivations could be the main contributor to students’ motivation to learn English as a foreign language.

Abstract Background In root canal preparations, it is important to maintain the original canal shape. However, it is difficult to accomplish this, especially due to the complex canal anatomy. This study aimed to compare the shaping ability of the ProTaper GOLD, WaveOne GOLD, and newly developed TruNatomy in simulated S-shaped canals. Methods The root canals of 60 S-shaped resin blocks were dyed using ink and photographed. The blocks were then randomly divided into three groups: group ProTaper GOLD (n = 20), WaveOne GOLD (n = 20), and TruNatomy (n = 20). The simulated canals were instrumented according to the NiTi file system and photographed again after being dyed with red ink. The pre- and post-preparation images were superimposed, and the amount of resin removed from both the mesial and distal sides of the canal measured up to 9 mm from the apical terminus, with a 1 mm increment. The preparation time was also calculated. A paired t-test was used to determine the degree of deviation at different levels within the groups. To compare the degree of transportation at different levels between the groups, one-way ANOVA and Kruskal–Wallis tests were performed according to the normality. Results TruNatomy showed a significant deviation between the mesial and distal sides of the canal only in the coronal area at 6, 7, 8, and 9 mm levels of the canal (p < 0.05). When comparing the amount of transportation in the 3 groups at 9 different levels, TruNatomy showed significantly less canal transportation than the other groups at the 3-and 5-mm levels of the canal (p < 0.05), while ProTaper GOLD showed the largest amount of transportation in the apical curved area at the 2 and 3 mm levels (p < 0.05). TruNatomy removed less resin than other groups in all sections (p < 0.05), while ProTaper GOLD removed slightly more resin than WaveOne GOLD; however, there was no significant difference (p = 0.043). Shaping time was the least for TruNatomy, followed by the WaveOne GOLD and ProTaper GOLD (p < 0.05). Conclusions TruNatomy maintained the original apical canal curvature in S-shaped curved canals better than ProTaper GOLD and WaveOne GOLD.

Aggressive behaviors by adolescents in Indonesia has perceived as national problem. This problem ofbehavior occur among all background of teenagers, including young people who had religiousbackground. There are two purposes of the study: 1). To examine the difference of aggressivenessbetween adolescent living in pesantren and adolescent living outside pesantren; and 2). To examine thedifference of aggressiveness among adolescents doing different frequency of religious fasting (shiyam),especially non-obligatory (sunnah) fasting on Monday or Thursday. The population of study was 11 to 21years old male-Moslem adolescent living in Kelurahan Bangunharjo, Semarang. Samples of study takenwith random sampling, based on data of residences in Kelurahan Bagunharjo Semarang. Twohypotheses were proposed in this study: 1). There are different aggressiveness between adolescentsliving in pesantren and ones living outside of pesantren; and 2). There are different aggressivenessamong adolescents doing different frequencies of Monday-Thursday shiyam. The first examinationemploying independent sample t-test resulted in t=-4,902 which p=0,00 (p<0,01), showed that the firsthypothesis was proved: there was a very significant difference of aggressiveness between the group ofMuslim-male adolescents living in pesantren and the group of others, the first group showed loweraggressiveness. The second examination employing one-way anova resulted in F=16,736 which p=0, 00(p<0, 01), showed that the second hypothesis was also proved: there was a very significant difference ofaggressiveness among the groups of Muslim-male adolescents with different frequency of religiousfasting (shiyam): the more frequency of religious fasting, the lower aggressiveness was. The result ofstudy suggested that both religious living environment and religious fasting might give contribution todecrease aggressiveness on adolescents.
