Children often have problems with snacks. They need health education to be able to choose healthy foods to meet optimal nutritional intake. This study aims to see the effect of using picture book media on increasing knowledge about healthy culinary tourism at Public Elementary School Gedongkiwo Yogyakarta. This type of study is quasi-experimental research. The survey designed is One Group Pretest Post Test Design. The research participants were 25 grade 2 elementary school students. The data analysis technique used the Paired Sample T-Test statistical test. The result obtained is that picture books do not affect knowledge about healthy culinary tourism (p-value 0.770> 0.05). A total of 9 students experienced a decrease in their level, seven students experienced an increase, and nine students did not experience a reduction or increase in knowledge. It is possible because the method used is combining lectures with visual story media during class. The conditions are different if students read pictorial stories themselves during leisure time. The next researcher will be able to study using a more simple method, for example, while having group discussions so that there is a two-way exchange of information.

Background: Flooding due to Citarum river overflowing is a natural phenomenon that is almost common every year, especially for the area around Citarum Dayeuhkolot. Floods cause various health problems, such as Dengue Haemorogic Fever (DHF). The high incidence of environmental-based infectious diseases in flood-prone villages in Dayeuhkolot is caused by problems in the health determinant factor which is associated with the still low awareness of the community that supports clean and healthy lifestyle behaviors (PHBS). Objective: To determine the effect of DHF prevention education on elementary school students' knowledge and attitudes. Methods: Quasi-experimental research design with pre-test and post-test design. The study was conducted at Bojong Asih Elementary School, Pasawahan Elementary School, Cangkuang Elementary School, and Leuwi Bandung Elementary School in 2017. The samples in this study were all students in grades 4- 6 totaling 323 people. All students were given a questionnaire before the intervention and then given counseling about the prevention of DHF and given a questionnaire again to measure the level of knowledge and attitudes. Data analysis uses descriptive univariate analysis and bivariate t test. The approach method in this research uses the Integrated UKS method.

At most of elementary school, students learn cube nets from a books and teacher stories. As a three dimentional structure, a cube alsochapter should be taught using three dimentional media. It helps students to imagine the concept of the chapter. A cube has eleven nets, therefore it may be hard to get all of the nets and present them as media in front of students. This paper proposes a media education for cube nets learning. The media is software that developed for desktop utilizing. The software product from this method is tested to elementary school student. A pre test and post test is applied to know student’s skills about cube nets, before and after they used the application. Using Wilcoxon test, the result shows that p-value (0.017) < α (0.05). In other word, the students gain more scores after they use the educational media. The students are also given a questionnaire to valuate the application. From the questionnaire, conclude that the motivational affordance gain 87.14% while the physicological outcome gets 91.67%. Whereas the students give 90.57% for behavioural outcome

Inquiry is the essence of science learning, but their activity is rarely trained in elementary school students. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to produce a guided inquiry-based science module that is appropriate to improve students’ learning outcomes on material objects and changes in form. This research is part of the educational research design with Tessmer's formative evaluation, namely at the field test stage. The module trial used a quasi-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design. The science module was declared valid by the validators, was then tested on 30 fifth graders in an elementary school in Kapus Regency, Central Kalimantan. The research data was obtained through the instrument of observing the module implementation and learning outcomes tests (products and processes). The results of the observations show that all inquiry activities in the module can be carried out properly. In addition, the acquisition of n-gain student learning outcomes is 0.43 with moderate criteria. Thus, the guided inquiry-based science module is feasible to use in science learning.
