Learning and teaching are the most important activities in the whole educational process. This implies that the success or failure of the educational goals depends on how to design the teaching and learning process (learning) professionally. The success of the learning process cannot be separated from the preparation of students and the preparation of educators. In learning activities, methods are needed for educators and their use varies according to the goals to be achieved after teaching ends. An educator will not be able to carry out his duties if he does not master any of the teaching methods that have been formulated. The methods used in data collection are the observation method and the test method. The data analysis used was the instrument validity test, the normality test and the homogeneity test. The results of the research carried out proved that student learning outcomes before and after using the jigsaw method could be seen from the average pre-test scores of 62.00 and 76.60 post-test results. The pre-test result value is lower than the post-test score, so it means that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after using the jigsaw method in the learning process. The percentage of the completeness criteria of the pre-test result value is 28%, while the posttest result score is 68%. From this data, it can be seen that using the jigsaw method can affect student learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing using the Product Moment Correlation test and Paired Sample T-test with the help of SPSS 20 software in the sig (2-tailed) section is known to be 0.000 <0.05. As the basis for decision making in the Product Moment Correlation test anddecision guidelines based on the probability value, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the jigsaw method can affect the improvement of learning outcomes of class V Islamic Religious Education at MI Muhammadiyah 09 Kranji Lamongan

A variety of tools are available to collect, process and analyse learning data obtained from the clickstream generated by students watching learning resources in video format. There is also some literature on the uses of such data in order to better understand and improve the teaching-learning process. Most of the literature focuses on large scale learning scenarios, such as MOOCs, where videos are watched hundreds or thousands of times. We have developed a solution to collect clickstream analytics data applicable to smaller scenarios, much more common in primary, secondary and higher education, where videos are watched tens or hundreds of times, and to analyse whether the solution is useful to teachers to improve the learning process. We have deployed it in a real scenario and collected real data. Furthermore, we have processed and presented the data visually to teachers for those scenarios and have collected and analysed their perception of their usefulness. We conclude that the collected data are perceived as useful by teachers to improve the teaching and learning process.

Indeed, there are great market potential of Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. (Ghrit-kumari) due to their medicinal and cosmetic values. However, the serious problems faced by farmers related to supply of harvested leaves materials after cultivation for industrial extraction and production of juice under a short and specific time of transportation to avoid spoil of materials and protect from decayed condition of leaves. Hence, the cultivation practices of the plant are not being popular although the utilization of leaves by pharmaceutical companies is gradually increasing. To solve the above problems, an analysis on extraction of pulp from leaves and preparation of juice in a small scale level has been carried out useful for the farmers and medicinal plant growers for processing of leaves at plantation site. It has been observed that after harvesting of leaves the boil or warm water is useful to process the leaves for pulp extraction in cold season. The standard percentage of activated charcoal observed in processing of pulp for removal of pigments varies from 12-15 gm/ kg according to pulp. The processing in homogenization, filtration and better preservation and stability of juice different ratio have been analyzed for keeping in good condition up to 180 days and above and the requirement of EDTA is 0.9-1.2gm/kg of pulp. The citric acid required 1.1-1.3 gm/kg for better and good condition of juice. The maintenances of PH of processed material various composition of different preservatives have been assessed. Effects of natural preservatives like lemon and honey to protect juice up to 30 days has been studied and found at least 10:5 ml/100ml respectively in closed container under good storage condition.

This chapter discusses the design of learning materials in the context of small scale projects within higher education. It describes the enduring appeal of instructional material and its growing use following the take up of virtual learning environments (VLEs) / learning platforms in teaching and learning. It suggests that action research approaches may be of value in the design of instructional material as they offer systematic, formative feedback at an early stage in the design process and prioritise user participation. A case study is provided of a broadly action research approach to the design of instructional material to support academic reading skills at one university. The case exemplifies the strengths of action research but also highlights the tensions and difficulties, in particular that of securing the engagement of stakeholders. The implications for further research are brought out.
