Internet, e-mail and other social networks like Myspace, Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn are the indispensable components in today's world. These social networking makes the human to addict into the digital world. Digital world has become the integral part of our society. Addiction to the digital world slowly develops the negative symptoms in the area of physical, physiological, emotional and psychological.  The most affected of all is the change in Emotional behaviour of the Humans.  Emotions plays an important role in our day today life.  The existing research work, based on subjective self-reports shows prolonged use of Digital Media induce negative emotions for Humans.  There are several techniques are used to extract the human emotions from brain such as Electroencephalography (EEG), functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), or Positron Emission Tomography (PET).  Many of the researchers are extensively used to extract the brain waves using EEG.  The negative emotions are controlled by human through meditation.  In this paper, the Mind Wave device has been used to extract the EEG signal using different range of age people during they use the Digital Medias and after they perform mediation. The proposed method identify the stress level of the human while they are using social media with meditation and without meditation.  It evidently proved that the meditation reduces the stress level of human.

Abstract Background With the development of digital media, online activities are increasingly becoming part of the daily life of older adults. Widowed older adults generally would face changes in social interactions and activities due to widowhood; thus, the importance of online participation may be more prominent in this population. However, a detailed evidence on the experiences of online social participation among widowed older adults is relatively sparse. This study aimed to explore widowed older adults’ perceptions regarding online social participation in southwestern China. Methods This study adopted a qualitative approach. Semi-structured, in-depth individual interviews were conducted with 19 widowed older adults between September–December 2020. Thematic analysis was applied to analyse the data. Results Two major themes, “benefits” and “barriers” were identified from the original data analysis. Subcategories concerning the theme “benefits” were “benefit perception (convenience, flexible time, supplementation)”, “health promotion”, “emotional comfort”, and “social connection”. Subcategories of “barriers” were “worries: personal economic loss”, “concerns: security of digital device”, “troubles: the diversity of online social participation”, and “difficulties: using digital media”. Conclusions Social participation of widowed older adults in southwestern China has begun to be integrated into the digital world; however, it remains at an early stage with the simple purpose of engagement. The older adults may face many challenges for online social participation. Although there are barriers and challenges in online social participation, widowed older adults can reap its benefits, which can be used as an important measure to facilitate a fulfilling life and successful ageing. There is no doubt that online social participation will become a trend within the foreseeable future. Family, friends and health care professionals should pay more attention to the needs of online social participation in widowed older adults and provide adequate support for them to achieve a meaningful life.

The value co-creation scholarly work has been criticized for neglecting the possible failures in the collaborative value creation process, which is termed as ‘value co-destruction’. Additionally, both the value co-creation and available limited research work in value co-destruction have overly attended on actor-to-actor interactions taking place in traditional service encounters, disregarding the practical movement towards the provision of services via technological platforms. Though there are ample studies that recognize factors influencing customer acceptance or rejections of technologies, a very limited number of studies have focused on exploring how and why customer collaboration with self-service technologies (SSTs) goes wrong due to the failures in the co-creation process. Therefore, this study attempts to understand how ‘value co-destruction’ takes place in the SSTs. Following a qualitative inquiry, using semi-structured interviews with 25 individuals, 15 reasons for co-destruction that vary among different customer demographics were found and classified into four integrative themes as ‘inabilities in co-learning’, ‘poor co-operation’, ‘problems with connecting’ and ‘poor corrective actions’. The findings fill the gap in the literature by addressing value co-destruction in technological interfaces, particularly in the SST context. Further, it will help practitioners to design and deliver value-enhancing self-service technological interfaces, resulting in none or minimum difficulties for customers.

In Ramadan, kiai in various pondok pesantren (Indonesian Islamic Boarding Schools) conduct lecturing activities known as "Ngaji Pasanan". This tradition has been going on for a long time ago till today. However, since 2017 up to now, it has been seen to be held by taking advantage of digital information technology through live streaming via Facebook, YouTube or other media platforms. In 2020, online “Ngaji Pasanan” has become a trend nationwide. This study aims to reveal the context of the online “Ngaji Pasanan phenomenon, which is carried out by the ulama' in pondok pesantren, by taking two samples, namely K.H. Mustofa Bisri and K.H. Said Aqil Siradj. Data collection and analysis used a netnographic approach. This study found that: First, Ngaji Pasanan of the two traditional Ulama' who used digital media were actually conducted offline, but were mediated by the internet and broadcast online. Second, through the online “Ngaji Pasanan”, the two traditional Ulama' not only convey the teachings in the kitab kuning but also contextualize them into socio-religious issues within the digital world, beside they also produce religious discourses and actual nationalities that are being debated by the public, whether in the online or offline context. Third, the presence of traditional Ulama' in the digital space, on the other hand, has been used by netizens to support their opinions by framing their positions on controversial religious and political issues. Fourth, the presence of traditional ulama' in the digital space is more driven by their insistence on addressing the flow of religious and national discourse in the digital space compared to their affirmation of the use of digital technology to carry out the academic tradition of pondok pesantren in Ramadan, namely "Ngaji Pasanan".

This paper argues that the still-emerging paradigm of situated cognition requires a more systematic perspective on media to capture the enculturation of the human mind. By virtue of being media, cultural artifacts present central experiential models of the world for our embodied minds to latch onto. The paper identifies references to external media within embodied, extended, enactive, and predictive approaches to cognition, which remain underdeveloped in terms of the profound impact that media have on our mind. To grasp this impact, I propose an enactive account of media that is based on expansive habits as media-structured, embodied ways of bringing forth meaning and new domains of values. We apply such habits, for instance, when seeing a picture or perceiving a movie. They become established through a process of reciprocal adaptation between media artifacts and organisms and define the range of viable actions within such a media ecology. Within an artifactual habit, we then become attuned to a specific media work (e.g., a TV series, a picture, a text, or even a city) that engages us. Both the plurality of habits and the dynamical adjustments within a habit require a more flexible neural architecture than is addressed by classical cognitive neuroscience. To detail how neural and media processes interlock, I will introduce the concept of neuromediality and discuss radical predictive processing accounts that could contribute to the externalization of the mind by treating media themselves as generative models of the world. After a short primer on general media theory, I discuss media examples in three domains: pictures and moving images; digital media; architecture and the built environment. This discussion demonstrates the need for a new cognitive media theory based on enactive artifactual habits—one that will help us gain perspective on the continuous re-mediation of our mind.

The focus of this research work on selected descriptive of images refers to the analytic survey of metaphor and simile. They are selected, defined, explained and interpreted. Their significances in bringing about poetic diction, licence, meaning, message and themes are highlighted. They are fundamental figures of speech that implicitly and explicitly display the emotive value, connotative meaning, literariness and language skills. The poetic images reflect and represent real life situations through poetic skills and meanings. The literary criticism, comparative and textual analysis is evident when the objects are looked at from animate to inanimate and inanimate to animate. They serve as basic methodologies that are backing the theories and strategies on selected figures of speech. Imagery is the use of words that brings picture of the mind of the receiver or recipient and appeal to the senses. It is, however, manifested in various forms for resemblances, contrasts and comparisons. Artistic language through images revealed poetic views, assertion and facts.

The practice of crisis communication has evolved since the rise of digital technologies and social media. Defined as an unexpected and non-routine event with high levels of uncertainty, crisis management plans and strategies are essential for organizations’ successes. Failure to strategically manage crises through both traditional and digital media may result in significant damages and losses. This MRP examines a recent corporate crisis - the case of Chipotle Mexican Grill during the 2015-2016 E. coli outbreak across the United-States - and looks at how the social media strategy (namely Twitter) influenced the outcome of the case. Using a combination of data analytics, company financials, and theoretical frameworks, this research brings to light the importance of measuring online data, and makes suggestions on how companies may use social media to manage various types of crises. Emotion plays an important role in the daily life of man and is an important feature of human interaction. Because of its role of adaptation, it motivates people to respond quickly to stimuli in their environment to improve communication, learning and decision making. With the increasing role of the brain-computer interface (BCI) in user-computer interaction, automatic recognition of emotions has become an area of interest in the last decade. The recognition of emotions could be facial expression, gesture, speech and text and could be recorded in different ways, such as electroencephalogram (EEG), positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), etc. In this research work, feature extraction feature reduction and classification of emotions have been evaluated on different methods to recognize and classify different emotional states such as fear, sad, frustrated, happy, pleasant and satisfied from inner emotion EEG signals.

SUMMARY Meditation, a component of ashtanga yoga, is an act of inward contemplation in which the mind fluctuates between a state of attention to a stimulus and complete absorption in it. Some forms of meditation have been found to be useful for people with psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression and substance use disorder. Evidence for usefulness of meditation for people with psychotic disorders is mixed, with reported improvements in negative symptoms but the emergence/precipitation of psychotic symptoms. This article narrates the benefits of meditation in psychiatric disorders, understanding meditation from the yoga perspective, biological aspects of meditation and practical tips for the practice of meditation. We also explain possible ways of modifying meditative practices to make them safe and useful for the patient population and useful overall as a society-level intervention.

Face-to-Face bullying is a traditional form of bullying in which bullies attack victims through physical, verbal, or social attacks. Cyberbullying is a new form of bullying. Cyberbullies abuse digital media to attack victims (such as attacks through websites, social networking services, blogging, e-mail, instant messaging, chat rooms, and cell phones). Cyberbullying and face-to-face bullying share many similarities. For example, bullies achieve power over a victim in both cyberbullying and face-to-face bullying. On the other hand, cyberbullying has differences from face-to-face bullying that arise from characteristics of digital media such as anonymity and rapid spreading of attacks. This chapter highlights key concerns of cyberbullying stemming from the use of digital media and discusses existing models of face-to-face bullying which may aid in model cyberbullying. This chapter then introduces state-of-the-art research in automated tools to detect cyberbullying. Finally, this chapter concludes with future perspective of research in automated tools to detect cyberbullying.
