Background: Adequate micronutrients intake is essential to ensure the immune function. Certain populations may have insufficient intake of micronutrients, and in situations that increase the demand for example infections, stress, and pollution that decrease the body's stores of micronutrients, putting them at risk of deficiency and may impair immunity. Several researchs related to micronutrient intake, nutritional status, sleep duration are still contradictory results in showing the relationship with immunity.Objectives: To determine the relationship between micronutrient intake, sleep duration, body mass index and the immune status of Balitbang Hukum dan HAM employees.Methods: This type of research is an observational study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique. The samples taken were 47 people.Results: Median intake of micronutrient vitamin A 1024.5 mcg, vitamin C 208.3 mg, vitamin D 1.4 mcg, vitamin E 3.5 mg, iron 5.1 mg, zinc 4.2 mg. Meanwhile, the median sleep duration was 6 hours and the median body mass index was 22.2 kg / m2. The intake of micronutrients with immune status has a p value> 0.05. Sleep duration with immune status has a p value <0.05 with a negative relationship direction. Body mass index with immune status has a p value> 0.05.Conclusion: There is no relationship between micronutrient intake and body mass index with immune status, meanwhile there is a relationship between sleep duration and immune status of Balitbang Hukum dan HAM employees.Keywords : Micronutrient intake; Sleep duration; Body mass index; Immune status

ABSTRACT: EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP AND WORKING SCHEDULE WITH BODY MASS INDEX IN YOSODADI PUSKESMAS WORKING AREA METRO CITY Introduction: The coverage of children under five in Lampung Province in 2019 was 79%, and this figure was above the target (76.18%). This figure illustrates that participation from the community to come to posyandu is still quite good in Lampung Province, while for Metro City the percentage of data is weighted at 78.8%. Data obtained through the Metro City Health Office in 2020 at the Yosodadi Health Center obtained as many as 656 toddlers aged 1-5 years who were weighingObjective: To find out the relationship between work and work schedule with the body mass index of toddlers aged 1-5 years.Methods: This type of research is quantitative. The design in this study uses an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The population is mothers and children aged 3-5 years, which is then calculated using the Slovin formula to obtain 197 children. Sampling technique purposive sampling Analysis of univariate and bivariate data using the chi-square test.Results: working mothers as many as 107 respondents (54.3%)., standard work schedule is 8 hours per day as many as 109 respondents (55.3%), BMI is not ideal, namely < 18.5 and > 22.9 as many as 103 respondents ( 52.3%. The results of statistical tests using the chi-square test obtained p-value = 0.000 (<α0.05), p-value = 0.085 (>α0.05).Conclusion: The results of statistical tests using the chi-square test obtained p-value = 0.000 (<α0.05) which means the relationship between mother's work and body mass index of toddlers aged 3-5. The p-value = 0.085 (>α0.05) means that there is no relationship between the mother's work schedule and the body mass index of children aged 3-5 years. It is recommended that parents who have toddlers with underweight and obese nutritional status should pay more attention to parenting patterns Keywords            :  Mother's Work Work Schedule, Toddler Body Mass Index  INTISARI: HUBUNGAN PEKERJAAN DAN JADWAL KERJA DENGAN INDEKS MASSA TUBUH BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS YOSODADI KOTA METRO   Pendahuluan: Cakupan balita ditimbang di Provinsi lampung tahun 2019 sebesar 79 %, dimana angka ini diatas target (76,18%). Angka ini menggambarkan bahwa partisipasi dari masyarakat untuk datang ke posyandu masih cukup baik di Provinsi Lampung, sedangkan untuk Kota Metro persentase data ditimbang sebesar 78,8%. Data yang diperoleh melalui Dinkes Kota Metro tahun 2020 di Puskesmas Yosodadi didapat sebanyak 656 balita usia 1-5 tahun yang melakukan penimbangan berat badanTujuan: Diketahui hubungan pekerjaan dan jadwal kerja dengan  indeks massa tubuh balita usia 1-5 tahun.Metode: Jenis penelitian kuantitatif, Rancangan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain Survei Analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah  ibu dan anak usia 3-5 tahun, yang kemudian dilakukan perhitungan sampel dengan rumus slovin didapat sebanyak 197 anak. Teknik sampling purposive sampling Analisa data univariat dan bivariat  menggunakan uji chi square.Hasil : ibu bekerja sebanyak 107 responden (54,3%)., jadwal kerja standar yaitu 8 jam per hari sebanyak 109 responden (55,3%), IMT tidak ideal yaitu < 18,5 dan > 22,9 sebanyak 103 responden (52,3%). Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji chi square didapat nilai p-value = 0.000 (<α0.05), nilai p-value = 0.085 (>α0.05).Kesimpulan : Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji chi square didapat nilai p-value = 0.000 (<α0.05) yang artinya ada hubungan pekerjaan ibu dengan  indeks massa tubuh balita usia 3-5. Nilai p-value = 0.085 (>α0.05) yang artinya tidak ada hubungan jadwal kerja ibu dengan  indeks massa tubuh balita usia 3-5 tahun. Disarankan kepada orang tua yang memiliki balita dengan status gizi kurus dan gemuk, harus lebih memperhatikan lagi mengenai pola asuh anak           Kata Kunci      : Pekerjaan Ibu Jadwal Kerja, Indeks Masa Tubuh Balita

Background: One relevant indicator in describing women's reproductive health and quality of life is the menstrual cycle. A high or low body mass index (BMI) can be a risk factor for menstrual disorders including irregular menstrual cycles, absence of menstruation and menstrual pain. Aim: This study aims to determine the correlation between body mass index and menstrual cycle disorders in medical faculty students of Udayana University. Method: This study used observational analytic study design and cross sectional approach. Samples are selected using purposive sampling technique.  The samples were students in Medical Faculty of Udayana University with 90 amount of respondents aged 19-22 years old. Result: Based on chi square statistical test, the results obtained with p value= 0,000 (p value <0,05). Conclusion: The conclusion is there is a significant correlation between body mass index and menstrual cycle disorders in medical faculty students of Udayana University.

Background: Osteoporosis is a condition in which bone become weak and brittle characterized with lower bone density and quality causing increased risk of fracture. The elderly is the most common group to be affected and female is more prone compared to male. One of modifiable risk factors of osteoporosis is low body mass index or underweight. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between body mass index and the risk of osteoporosis on Acehnese adult females in RSUDZA.Methods: This was an analytic observational-cross sectional study which was completed at the Internal Medicine and Orthopedic Policlinic at Zainoel Abidin General Hospital Banda Aceh from August 27th to September 13th 2019. The sampling method used was nonprobability sampling with accidental sampling technique. The body mass index was obtained by measuring respondents’ height and weight while the risk of osteoporosis was assessed by measuring OSTA Score.Results: Results showed that most of respondents was aged between 40-45 years old (55.4%) and there are 62 respondents (74.7%) with abnormal body mass index consisted of 9 underweight respondents (10.8%), 11 overweight respondents (13.3%), and 42 obese respondents (50.6%). The risk of osteoporosis was dominantly mild (69.9%). There were 7 underweight respondents (77.8) had moderate risk of osteoporosis while 2 underweight respondents had severe risk (22.2%). Meanwhile, 41 obese respondents had mild risk of osteoporosis (97.6%). Correlation test using Spearman showed p value 0.000 (p < 0.05) and rs = -0,731 which means that there is a strong correlation between body mass index and the risk of osteoporosis.Conclusions: Lower body mass index is directly proportional with higher risk of osteoporosis.

Background: Hallux valgus is a deformity characterized by a change in the shape of the thumb with symptoms of swelling, redness and pain. Hallux valgus is progressive where there is a lump at the base of the thumb which can occur due to the weakness of the muscles and ligaments around the first metatarsophalangeal joint. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body mass index and the type of foot arches on the risk of hallux valgus in children aged 13–14 years.  Methods: This research is a cross sectional analytic study with simple random sampling technique. The number of samples are 99 children (39 males, 60 females) aged 13–14 years. The variables measured were body mass index using body weight scales and a stature meter, the type of foot arches using a wet footprint test, and hallux valgus with a goniometer.Results: Our study shows that there is no significant correlation between body mass index and hallux valgus at the level of 0.157. However, there is a significant correlation between the type of foot arches and hallux valgus at the 0.003 level. In addition, there is a significant correlation between body mass index and foot arches.  Conclusions: There was a significant relationship between body mass index and foot arches and foot arches with the risk of hallux valgus. However, body mass index is not directly related to hallux valgus condition.

Hypertension has become a serious problem in worldwide. The most factor causes hypertension is obesity or overweight. The main purpose of this study was to determine correlation Body Mass Index (BMI) and blood pressure at Kinamang Village. The design in this study was cross sectional study. The sample was used non probability sampling with accidental sampling technique. Sample of this study were 89 respondents. The results were showed most category BMI were normal category 48,3%, systolic and diastolic category were prehypertension 53,9% and 34,8%. The analysis was using spearman correlation and the result showed BMI and systolic p value 0,001<0,05 with r=0,360 and diastolic p 0,000<0,05 with r=0,389. The conclusion is there was statistically significant positive correlation between BMI and blood pressure both systolic and diastolic. The higher BMI then blood pressure will increase both systolic and diastolic.   Keywords: Body Mass Index; Blood Pressure   Abstrak Hipertensi sudah menjadi masalah yang serius di dunia. Obesitas atau kelebihan berat badan merupakan salah satu faktor yang paling sering menyebabkan hipertensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT) dan tekanan darah di desa Kinamang. Desain penilitian yang digunakan menggunakan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan non probability samping dengan teknik pengambilan accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel yang didapat 89 responden. Hasil penelitian yang didapat kategori Indeks masa tubuh terbanyak dalam kategori normal 48,3%, kategori tekanan darah sistolik terbanyak kategori prehipertensi 53,9% dan kategori tekanan darah diastolik terbanyak kategori prehipertensi 34,8%. Hasil analisa korelasi menggunakan spearman correlation didapati korelasi IMT dengan tekanan darah sistolik p 0,001<0,05 dengan r=0,360 dan korelasi IMT dengan tekanan darah diastolik p 0,000<0,05 dengan r=0,389. Kesimpulan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara IMT dengan tekanan darah sistolik maupun diastolik. Semakin meningkat IMT maka tekanan darah sistolik maupun diastolik akan meningkat.   Kata Kunci: Indeks Masa Tubuh; Tekanan Darah

One cause of risk factors for ischemic stroke is high triglycerides in the blood due to excessive fat intake. This study aims to determine the picture and the relationship between BMI (Body Mass Index) and blood triglyceride (TG) levels in adult women. The research method used was analytic survey with Cross Sectional approach. The sample used is adult women aged 26-45 years who live in Cihanjuang Rahayu Village by using purposive sampling technique. BMI is measured by comparing the results of height calculation with body weight. Triglycerides are taken after fasting for 10 hours and analyzed in a laboratory by Lab personnel. Univariate analysis result showed the majority of respondents had an excess BMI of 73.3%, normal triglyceride levels of 93.9%. The results of the correlation test analysis using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation 0.119 with p-value = >0.05. This show that there is no significant relationship between BMI and triglyceride levels. In the future studies it is necessary to compare between male and female sexes and different age groups in order to provide a complete picture if BMI with triglycerides. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dan kadar trigliserida (TG) darah pada wanita dewasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu wanita dewasa yang berusia 26-45 tahun yang tinggal di Desa Cihanjuang Rahayu dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Indeks massa tubuh diukur dengan membandingkan hasil perhitungan tinggi badan dengan berat badan. Trigliserida diambil setelah puasa selama 10 jam dan dianilisa dilaboratorium oleh petugas Lab. Hasil analisis univariate menunjukkan mayoritas responden memiliki indeks massa tubuh berlebih sebanyak 73,3%, kadar trigliserida normal sebanyak 93,9%. Hasil analisis Uji korelasi menggunakan Pearson Product-Moment Correlation 0.119 dengan p-value = >0.05. Hal ini menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara indeks massa tubuh dengan kadar trigliserida dalam darah. Pada penelitian selanjutnya perlu membandingkan antara jenis kelamin pria dan wanita serta kelompok usia berbeda agar dapat memberikan gambaran utuh tentang indeks massa tubuh dengan Trigliserida. Hypertension is a multifactorial cause with many differences and one of the leading causes of death in the world. The incidence of hypertension is very high with a prevalence reaching 60% to 80% of the elderly population. Body mass index (BMI) is highly influential in hypertension where overweight can estimate the risk of hypertension compared to normal BMI. BMI that is often afflicted by hypertensionis was obesity. Obesity provides the impetus to activate the simple nervous system for changes in the structure and function of the kidneys. Arterial pressure control of diuresis and natriuresis causes blood pressure to become hypertensive. The purpose of this research was to find out whether there is a relationship between BMI and hypertension in the elderly in Simpang Tiga Health Center Pekanbaru City. This research was an analytic observational research with cross sectional approach and accidental sampling technique. The total sample of 61 people included in the inclusion criteria of total participation. This research was conducted on January 21-23, 2020 in the Elderly Poly in Simpang Tiga Health Center Pekanbaru City. The results of this study were p-value <0.01 (p-value <0.05) and correlation coefficient (rs) of 0.424 which means there was a relationship between BMI and hypertension in the elderly in positive direction and moderate strength relationship. The conclusion of this study was that BMI has a significant relationship with hypertension in elderly in Simpang Tiga Health Center Pekanbaru City.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Hypertension requires lifelong treatment. One influence of the successful treatment of hypertensive patients is adherence to taking drugs through family support roles. Purpose: This study identified the relationship between family support and adherence to taking medication for hypertensive patients at the Airmadidi Health Center in North Minahasa Regency. Method: This study was an observational analytic with cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 127 respondents diagnosed with hypertension. Results: Dominant family support (84.3%) was included in the low category, and dominant medication adherence (65.4%) was included in the low category. There is a significant relationship between family support and medication adherence to hypertensive patients (p value 0.016), but the correlation coefficient is weak (r = -0.213) with a negative relationship direction. Discussion: Communities including families of hypertensive patients are expected to take part in improving compliance with taking medication for hypertensive patients, and for hypertensive patients must be more obedient in taking drugs. ABSTRACT: RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BODY MASS INDEX AND TYPES OF INGUINAL HERNIA Background: One of the risk factors that can influence or increase the incidence of inguinal hernia is overweight and obesity. Body mass index (BMI) is a simple way to see the nutritional status of adults, especially with regard to underweight and overweight.Objective: To determine the relationship between Body Mass Index and the type of inguinal herniaResearch Methods: The design in this study used a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all inguinal hernia patients at Pertamina Bintang Amin Hospital Bandar Lampung in 2019-2020. The sample in this study amounted to 98 people using purposive sampling technique. Where patients with congenital hernia, chronic cough, and comorbid disease, were excluded from the study. The data obtained were analyzed using the chi square statistical test.Result: 18 respondents (20.45%) patients diagnosed with lateral inguinal hernia had normal weight and 70 respondents (79.55%) other respondents diagnosed with lateral inguinal hernia. Meanwhile, 6 respondents (60%) who were diagnosed with medial inguinal hernia were overweight-obese, while the other 4 respondents (40%) who were diagnosed with medial inguinal hernia were overweight-obese. The results of the bivariate statistical test using chi square obtained a p-value of 0.013.Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between body mass index and the type of inguinal hernia. Keywords: Body Mass Index, Lateral Inguinal Hernia, Medial Inguinal Hernia  INTISARI: HUBUNGAN ANTARA INDEKS MASSA TUBUHDENGAN JENISHERNIA INGUINALIS  Latar Belakang:Salah satu faktor resiko yang dapat mempengaruhi atau meningkatkan angka kejadian dari hernia inguinal adalah overweight dan obesitas. Indeks massa tubuh (IMT) merupakan cara sederhana untuk melihat status gizi orang dewasa, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan kekurangan dan kelebihan berat badan.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Indeks Massa Tubuh dengan jenis hernia inguinalisMetode Penelitian:Rancangan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien hernia inguinalis sebanyak di RS Pertamina Bintang Amin Bandar Lampung tahun 2019-2020.Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 98 orang dengan menggunakan tekhnikpurposive sampling. Dimana pasien dengan hernia kongenital, batuk kronis, dan penyakit komorbid, diekslusi dari penelitian. Data yang diperoleh dianalisa menggunakan uji statistic chi square.Hasil penelitian:Didapatkan 18 responden (20,45%) pasien yang didiagnosa hernia inguinalis lateralis memiliki berat badan normal dan 70 responden (79,55%) responden lainnya yang didiagnosa hernia inguinalis lateralis. Sementara itu, 6 responden (60%) responden yang didiagnosa hernia inguinalis medialis memiliki berat badan overweight-obesitas sedangkan 4 responden lainnya (40%) yang didiagnosa hernia inguinalis medialis memiliki berat badan overweight-obesitas.Hasil uji statistik bivariat menggunakan chi square diperoleh nilai p-value 0,013.Kesimpulan:Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara indeks massa tubuh dengan jenis hernia inguinalis. Kata kunci: Indeks Massa Tubuh, Hernia Ingunalis Lateralis, Hernia Inguinalis          Medialis

Technological advances in recent years have had an impact on people's lifestyles. Almost all activities in various sectors can be carried out and accessed via smartphones. This causes a decrease in physical activity which can lead to obesity. Obesity is an imbalance of energy entering the energy used in the body resulting in the accumulation of excess lipids which can interfere with the health condition of the body. Body composition is an important part of determining one's physical fitness. Body composition can be seen from a person's Body Mass Index (BMI). This type of research is analytic observational with cross sectional research design. The data used by researchers is secondary data in 2018. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample used in this study was 127 people, consisting of 47 men and 84 women. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 through the Spearman Analysis Test with the results of p = 0.000 (p-value <0.05) for the relationship between BMI and IKB in the slow way and p = 0.002 (p-value <0.05) for the relationship between BMI with IKB the fast way. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the analysis is that there is a weak correlation between body mass index and body fitness index on the Havard Step Test fitness test for students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember.
