Biology learning in SMA N 2 Batang still emphasized cognitive ability, has not yet oriented on the development of student skill of science process. The purpose of this research is to analyze theimplementation of practicum methods with guided-discovery model on students skill of science process. This research is Pre-Experimental with Pre-Test and Post Test Group Design. The sample was determined by purposive sampling, X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2 as experiment class-1 and -2. The results obtained from the test and non-test. The result of skill of science process test was analyzed by N-gain. The average of N-gain test result from the experimental class is 11,4% in high category, 64,3% in medium category, and 24,3% in low category. Analysis of post-test result and student observation result in good category. The success of this method implementation in MIPA 1 is 95,15% and MIPA 2 is 88,9% with very high category. Students and teachers respond well to the implementation of practicum method with guided-discovery model. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of practicum method with guided-discovery model of environmental change material can develop student skill of science process in observing, classifyng, predicting, measuring, concluding, and communicating aspects.

The gap between facts and the importance of problem solving skill to be developed, into cornerstone of this research. Research of improving students’ problem solving skill through guided discovery learning is the aim of this research. Qualitative descriptive be the method in this research. Pre-test and post-test was completed by 38 students. Pre-test and post-test result were analyzed descriptively. To get in-depth data about students’ problem solving ability, interviews were conducted with 20 students. Results of interviews, observations, and research journals were analyzed qualitatively. There is a difference in the improvement of problem solving skill, seen from the increase on total value and the increase on each indicator of problem solving skill. In total value, the increase have is in the low category. Also the increase of 1st indicator and 3rd indicator is in thw low category. But, indicator 2nd and 4th is in the medium category.

Background: Prevalence in Indonesian society in 2007 was 7.5%, with several factors causing traffic and crossing sharp/ blunt objects. In 2013 there was an increase in the prevalence of trauma to 8.2%, with the highest order of injuries being down 40.9%, motorcycle accidents (40.6%), trauma due to sharp/blunt objects 7.3%, other land transportation 7, 1% and 2.5% fallout. To equip ordinary students in carrying out the Log roll Skills to help victims with spinal trauma need to do log roll Skills training. In this regard, researchers intend to conduct research on "The Effect of Health Education with First Aid (Log Roll) Simulation Methods on Spinal Injuries in Tempuran Informal Education in Magelang". Methods: This research is experimental research with the PreTest-Post Test Group design approach. through hypothesis testing research. The population of this research was 50 people in the cloud (Ponpes Roudlotuttulab students). Statistical test on paired groups using the nonparametric Wilcoxon test. Result: Based on the Wilcoxon test results, it can be concluded that 50 respondents who log roll training can be drawn in the conclusion that the majority of students have a basic score of 0.001 which means there is a difference that takes place between before and after training. Conclusion: The suggestion put forward in this study is that education and log roll action training for lay people, especially students, continues to be held at other Islamic boarding schools to improve the skills of log roll action skills suspected in victims with spinal injuries.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswapada penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery Learningdi SMPN 13 Mataram tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasy experimentdengan desain pre-test and post-test group design.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2016.Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Mataram.Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling.Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan ganda serta lembar penilaian afektif dan psikomotor.Uji hipotesis yang digunakan yaitu Uji-t. Hasil uji yang didapatkan adalah thitung> ttabelyaitu 4,93>1,99, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan modelProblem Based Learningdengan menggunakan modelGuided Discovery Learning. Hasil belajar IPA terpadu menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery Learning.

This research was motivated by the low level of dribble skills in the game of football in class VIII students of Budi Agung Private Junior High School, Medan. Based on this, the research objective was to determine the effect of playing methods on the dribbling ability of soccer games. The population and sample studied in this study were 30 students and the sample was taken using total sampling. This research is a field experiment research and the design of this study used a pre test post test group design. From the research results, it can be seen that the significance (0.010) is smaller than 0.05 and the t-test result (2.739) is greater than the t-table (0.3610), so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the playing method on the dribble ability of the game. football students of class VIII SMP Private Budi Agung Medan.

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to find the effect of guided discovery learning model on student’s achievement at characteristics of wave topic in SMA N 1 Medan class XI academic year 2014/2015. The research method was quasi-experiment. The populations were all 2nd grade students odd semester consist of 13 classes in SMA N 1 Medan. The samples of this research conduct two classes and consist of 37 students from experiment class and control class defined by cluster random sampling. The results that were obtained: post-test mean value of the experiment class was 75.94 and 75.02 for control class. Standard deviation for two classes was 14.94 and 12.48. Normality of the test result from the both samples was normal and homogeneous. So, there was the significant effect of using guided discovery learning model. It can conclude that studying with guided discovery learning model was higher than direct instructional learning model.   Key word: guided discovery learning, student’s learning achievement, learning model, physics

Biology Learning at SMP N 1 Pulokulon obtained information that the learning process that occurs less involving students. The final test of the first semester for the science subjects was 35.5% of the students got the score ≥ 50, the students' learning completeness for the Biology subject in the school was 65% of students got ≥ 50. The effort to solve the problem was by applying inquiry discussion. This method is combined with PowerPoint media that can display images concretely. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of inquiry discussion assisted application of PowerPoint media in the learning of organizational life on students in SMP N 1 Pulokulon. The type of data consists of: (1) affective and psychomotoric students, obtained by using activity observation sheet and student performance during the learning progress, (2) cognitive students, obtained by multiple choice test given at the beginning and end of learning. Achievement mastery of affective and psychomotor learning result that is ≥ 85% student reach good and very good criterion. Analysis of cognitive data of students using variance analysis, if the F test is significantly different then continued the test of the BNT. The BNT test result in the post test shows that the experimental class is significantly different from the comparison class. Thus it can be concluded that the inquiry discussion with PowerPoint media effectively applied to the material organization of life in students in class VII SMP N 1 Pulokulon.

Background: The incidence of obesity increases regardless of age. It may happen because these students like to consume snacks/ packaged foods and rarely pay attention to the contents of Nutrition Facts label. Personal education method is a method of education conducted on individuals, while lecture method conducted in groups, each methods has their advantages and disadvantages.Objectives: Knowing the difference of knowledge level about Nutrition Facts label and packaged food choice between personal education method and lecture method on obese students. Methods: This study was a quasy experiment with pre-test and post-test group design. Forty four samples from undergraduate student of Brawijaya University were recruited by using purposive sampling. The variables of this study were knowledge level about Nutrition Facts label and food packaging choice through questionnaires in both groups based on pre-test and post-test measurements. Results: There was a significant difference of knowledge level based on pre-test and post-test result in both of the group (p=0,000) and packaged food choice in personal education group (p=0,000). Nevertheless, there was no significant difference in packaged food choice based on pre-test and post-test of lecture group (p=0,317). There was a significant difference of knowledge level (p=0,038) and packaged food choice (p=0,000) based on post-test result in both of the group after nutritional education was given. Conclusions: Based on study finding, it was concluded that in college student with obesity, personal education and lecture method improve knowledge level about Nutrition Facts label and packaged food choice albeit personal education method gives a bigger effect.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Kejadian obesitas meningkat tanpa memandang usia. Obesitas.dapat disebabkan karena kegemaran.mengonsumsi snack/makanan kemasan dan jarang memperhatikan kandungan.dalam label informasi.nilai gizinya. Metode edukasi personal merupakan.pemberian edukasi yang dilakukan.pada perorangan, sedangkan metode ceramah dilakukan.pada sasaran kelompok dan masing-masing metode memiliki.kelebihan dan kekurangan. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan tentang label.informasi nilai gizi dan pemilihan makanan kemasan antara metode edukasi gizi personal dan metode ceramah pada mahasiswa obesitas. Metode: Desain penelitian ini.adalah quasi eksperimen dengan pre-test post-test group design. Teknik sampling.menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah.sampel sebanyak.44 orang mahasiswa obesitas di Universitas Brawijaya. Variabel yang.diteliti adalah tingkat pengetahuan.terkait label informasi nilai gizi dan pemilihan makanan kemasan melalui kuesioner pada kelompok metode edukasi personal dan ceramah menggunakan.pengukuran pre-test-post-test. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan yang.signifikan antara hasil pre-test.dan post-test tingkat.pengetahuan pada kedua kelompok (p=0,000) dan pemilihan.makanan kemasan pada kelompok edukasi personal (p=0,000). Namun, tidak terdapat perbedaan.pemilihan makanan.kemasan yang signifikan antara.hasil pre-test dan.post-test pada kelompok ceramah (p=0,317). Terdapat perbedaan.yang signifikan pada hasil.post-test tingkat.pengetahuan (p=0,038) dan pemilihan makanan kemasan (p=0,000) antara kedua.kelompok setelah diberi.edukasi gizi.Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan.bahwa dengan sasaran mahasiswa obesitas, metode edukasi personal dan ceramah dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait label informasi nilai gizi dan pemilihan makanan kemasan walaupun edukasi personal memberikan efek yang lebih besar.

This current study aims at observing the influence of pre-exercise sport massage therapy towards the cultivation of agility to the football player of Universitas Tunas Pembangunan Surakarta. This study has been accomplished in 18 weeks. The population of the study is all of the football player of UTP Surakarta. The samples are 28 athletes. Based on the prerequisite test result, the normality test of the pretest group experiment is at 0,130, the post-test group experiment is at 0,161, the controlled pre-test is at 0,187, the controlled post-test is at 0,168. Based on the normality test, it can be concluded that all of the data are at 0,05 which means that the data distributes the normal frequency. Based on the homogeneity test, this study shows at 0,53 where the data depicts above 0,05, hence the data are homogeny. Based on the result of hypothesis test towards the pre-test and post-test experiment, it can be concluded that the significance level is at 0,328 > 0,05, therefore the null hypothesis which reflects “there are no influence of pre-exercise massage therapy towards the increase of agility to the football player of Universitas Tunas Pembangunan Surakarta” is declined.

ABSTRACTBackground: Volleyball is a popular sport that is competitive. In volleyball, the volleyball player must play the volleyball over the net. The physical factor that supports that ability is explosion power of legs muscles. One of the ways to increase the explosion power of legs muscles is plyometric exercise. The exercises that were given in this research were plyometric depth jump and standing jump exercises to increase the explosion power of legs muscles. Purpose: The objective of this exercise is to compare the effect of both exercises for increasing the explosion power of legs muscles. Method: This research used experimental method Pre Test and Post Test Group Design in six weeks and frequency of three times a week. The samples are 22 people who are divided into two groups through ordinal pairing technique. The first group was given plyometric depth jump exercise and the second group was given standing jump exercise. The measurement of the explosion power of legs muscles used jump MD that was measured before and after exercises in every groups. Next, the average result was compared with statistical test of t- paired test. Result: The average of the explosion power of legs muscles pre test of the first group was 39.73 ± 3.74 centimeters and the post test was 55.64 ± 4.03 centimeters are statistically significant (p<0.05). Otherwise, on the second group, the pre test was 39.73 ± 3.58 centimeters and the post test was 51.36 ± 3.85 centimeters are statistically significant (p<0.05). The increasing of the explosion power of legs muscles between both groups are significant (p<0.05). The percentage of increasing of plyometric depth jump was 40.05% and for the standing jump was 29.27%. Conclusion: Plyometric depth jump increased the explosion power of legs muscles is bigger than standing jump exercise for all students on the men’s volleyball extracurricular of SMK Triatma Jaya Badung.Keywords : Plyometric depth jump and standing jump exercises, the explosion power of legs muscles, volleyball.

Logoterapi merupakan terapi untuk menemukan makna positif dibalik sebuah kejadian yang tidak diharapkan. Logoterapi dilaksanakan secara individu maupun berkelompok dalam bentuk konseling dan berorientasi pada pencarian makna hidup individu. Tujuan logoterapi meningkatkan makna pengalaman hidup individu yang diarahkan kepada pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan pre-experiment dengan metode pre and post test group, artinya pengumpulan data dilakukan terhadap responden untuk membandingkan kualitas hidup sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode total sampling yaitu pengambilan seluruh sampel dengan tetap memperhatikan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Jumlah pasien yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSUD Ungaran sebanyak 21 orang dan di RSUD Ambarawa sebanyak 25 pasien. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t test dependent. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa dari 46 responden didapatkan rata-rata skor kualitas hidup pasien yang mejalani hemodialisis sebesar 60.22 dengan skor terrendah 55 dan skor tertinggi 69. Bahwa dari 46 responden didapatkan rata-rata skor kualitas hidup pasien yang mejalani hemodialisis sebesar 88.72 dengan skor terrendah 79 dan skor tertinggi 103. Hasil uji statistik dengan uji t test dependent diketahui ada pengaruh logoterapi terhadap kemampuan memaknai hidup pada klien yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSUD Kabupaten Semarang (p value: 0,0001). Saran perlunya peningkatan kemampuan perawat dalam memberikan layanan kesehatan termasuk pemberian atau pemanduan penemuan makna hidup bagi pasien hemodialysis, agar selain dengan hemodialysis, ada faktor internal dari pasien yang dapat dijadikan sebagai motivasi untuk sembuh dari penyakit.   Kata Kunci: Logoterapi, kualitas hidup   IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH RENAL FAILURE WHO UNDERWENT HEMODIALYSIS   ABSTRACT Logotherapy is a therapy to discover the positive meaning behind an unexpected event. Logotherapy is carried out individually or in groups in the form of counseling and oriented to the search for the meaning of individual life. This study aims to improve the quality of life of patients with renal failure who underwent hemodialysis. This research was conducted by using pre-experiment with pre-post test study. The sampling technique was done by the convenience sampling. The number of patients undergoing hemodialysis as many as 46 respondents. Data analysis was done by using test t test dependent. The result showed that from 46 respondents got the mean of quality of life of patients who had hemodialysis 60.22 with lowest score 55 and highest score 69. Whereas from 46 respondents got the mean score of life quality of patients who had hemodialysis 88.72 with score the lowest score 79 and the highest score 103. The result of statistical test with t test dependent is known there is influence of logoterapi to the ability of meaningful life on client who undergo hemodialysis at Semarang Regency hospitals (p value: 0.0001). Advice on the need to improve the nurse's ability to provide health services, including the provision or guidance of the discovery of the meaning of life for hemodialysis patients, in addition to hemodialysis, there are internal factors of the patient that can be used as a motivation to recover from illness.   Keywords: Logotherapy, quality of life, kidney failure.
