AbstractTourism promotion is one of the effective efforts to promote city tourism. The success of promotion is influenced by many aspects, such as the ability of the communicator to set communication goals so that the message conveyed is attractive and effective. The purpose of this study was to know the practice of tourism promotion, the interpretation of Pagaralam City Government employees on tourism promotion activities and their roles, and the relationship between Pagaralam City Government employees and the public. Researchers used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological tradition. This study found that the chosen type of tourism promotion was publicity, print publication, electronic and internet media. Their interpretation of tourism promotion activities in Pagaralam is formulated into two categories, namely promotion of activities as promotional activities and substantial promotion as formal promotions. The relation between the public relations officer and the public is going well. AbstrakPromosi pariwisata merupakan salah satu upaya efektif untuk mempromosikan pariwisata kota. Keberhasilan promosi dipengaruhi oleh banyak aspek, seperti kemampuan komunikator dalam menetapkan tujuan komunikasi agar pesan yang disampaikan menarik dan efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui praktek promosi pariwisata, interpretasi pegawai Pemerintah Kota Pagaralam terhadap kegiatan promosi pariwisata dan peran mereka, dan hubungan antara pegawai Pemerintah Kota Pagaralam dan publik. Peneliti menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan tradisi fenomenologi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa jenis promosi pariwisata yang dipilih adalah publisitas, publikasi dengan percetakan, media elektrotik dan internet. Interpretasi mereka atas kegiatan promosi pariwisata di Pagaralam dirumuskan dalam dua kategori, yaitu promosi kegiatan sebagai kegiatan promosi dan promosi substansial sebagai promosi formal. Hubungan antara petugas humas dan publik berjalan baik.

<span lang="IN">Social media is one type of new media that facilitates the process of communication among human. Social media makes it easy for users to communicate and share information in a wider range. At present, not only people use Instagram, but the government also needs to keep up with the time to participate in using Instagram as an online information media. Public Relations of the Salatiga Government is one of the public relations departments that uses Instagram as an online information media to provide information needed by the community.<br /> This research aimed to find out how the content of the information was<span>  </span>and how the role of instagram was as an information deliverance to the citizen by the public relations of Salatiga. Through qualitative methods research, data is collected by means of interviews and observations. The results showed that the Salatiga <span> </span>Government Public Relations Instagram account had a role to increase brand awareness, connect many people and as a source of information/ business promotion.Public Relations of the Salatiga Government considers that Instagram plays an active role in conveying information to the public. This is seen from the many positive responses received by the Salatiga City Government Public Relations during managing Instagram as a modern information deliverance.<span>     </span></span>

Abstrak: Teknologi  informasi  dan  komunikasi  yang  berkembang  saat  ini, telah  menciptakan  perubahan  pada  banyak  hal.  Terlebih  dengan kehadiran  internet,  berbagai  keunggulannya  semakin  menambah keunggulan  dalam  dinamika  kehidupan  modern.  Ratusan juta manusia di seluruh dunia mengakses internet setiap harinya, dan jumlahnya terus bertambah dari waktu ke waktu. Hal ini berdampak pada penggunaan internet untuk kegiatan dakwah.Secara umum dakwah dilaksanakan secara konvensional. Namun, seiring perkembangan teknologi informasi, bermunculan dakwah yang menggunakan internet, yang biasa disebut dengan cyber dakwah. Terkait dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini berupaya untuk melihat keterkaitan keduanya dalam konstruksi keberagamaan, yang karenanya media internet memberikan kemudahan dalam penyebaran informasi kepada masyarakat. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode field work yang dipadukan dengan studi kepustakaan.Diharapkan penelitian ini akan membuka ruang diskusi baru mengenai studi keislaman kontemporer yang lebih integratif dengan isu-isu kekinian. Selain itu, untuk memperkaya cakrawala terhadap diskursus perkembangan media yang menjadi bagian dari wacana keislaman global dan masyarakat modern. Abtsract: Information and communication technology that has developed at this time has created changes in many things. Especially with the presence of the internet, various advantages have added to the dynamics of modern life. Hundreds of millions of people around the world access the internet every day, and the number continues to increase from time to time. This has an impact on the use of the internet for da'wah activities.In general, preaching is carried out conventionally. However, along with the development of information technology, da'wah has sprung up using the internet, commonly referred to as cyber da'wah. Related to this, this study seeks to see the relationship between the two in religious construction, which is why internet media makes it easy to disseminate information to the public. The type of this study is qualitative, using the field work method combined with library studies.It is hoped that this research will open up new discussion space regarding contemporary Islamic studies that are more integrative with current issues. In addition, to enrich the horizon of the discourse of media development which is part of a global Islamic discourse and modern society.

Non-profit organizations engaged in environmental issues has been increasingly recognized by many people. The success of non-profit organizations that pursued by increasing the positive image obtained from media relations. This study aimed to analyze the strategy of Public Relations (PR) WWF-Indonesia in improving the image of the organization. This study was conducted with a quantitative approach and qualitative approach. The method used is survay on two student organizations Bogor Agricultural University who worked with WWF-Indonesia, they are from Fisheries Diving Club (FDC) and the Association of Student Interest in Sciences of Communication and Community Development (HIMASIERA). Data analysis included Spearman Rank test and Chi Square used to look at the relationship between PR strategy with the image of a non-profit organization. The results of the study, namely: 1) there is a relationship between individual characteristics with the image of a company that is formed; 2) there is a relationship between the public relation activities undertaken by the company's image.Keywords: environmental issue, media relation, student organizations ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ABSTRAKOrganisasi nirlaba yang bergerak di isu-isu lingkungan telah semakin diakui oleh banyak orang. Keberhasilan organisasi nirlaba yang dikejar dengan meningkatkan citra positif yang diperoleh dari hubungan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi hubungan masyarakat WWF-Indonesia dalam meningkatkan citra organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah survai pada dua organisasi mahasiswa Institut Pertanian Bogor yang bekerja dengan WWF-Indonesia yang berasal dari Fisheries Diving Club (FDC) dan Asosiasi Mahasiswa Peminat Ilmu Komunikasi dan Pengembangan Masyarakat (HIMASIERA). Analisis data termasuk uji Rank Spearman dan Chi Square, digunakan untuk melihat hubungan antara strategi PR dengan citra sebuah organisasi nirlaba. Hasil studi, yaitu: 1) terdapat hubungan antara karakteristik individu dengan citra perusahaan yang terbentuk; 2) ada hubungan antara kegiatan hubungan masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh citra perusahaan.Kata kunci: isu lingkungan, hubungan media, organisasi mahasiswa

Public relations practice is a profitable interpretation of an organization's new and continuous relationship with stakeholders, including customers, by managing all communication relationships with the organization that creates the reputation and protects its reputation [5]. The researcher has employed mixed research methods. Mixed approaches are far more compressive than attacking a problem one point of view and allow a different type of data to be accessed from disciplinary boundaries. Employing a purposive sampling method, a total of 7 PR officers of the Tigray region education Bureau and the Public relations Manager of the respective Bureau have been selected. An interview and questionnaires have been employed to gather data. After the researcher has collected the relevant data using the mixed research methods it has been analyzed. The data which was gathered using a quantitative research method has been analyzed and interpreted in a table and report in percentage with sufficient explanation for each table result and percentages using SPSS data analyzing software. Besides, the gathered data using a qualitative research design was analyzed in the reporting method with elaboration.

In the late 16th and early 17th centuries, the city government of Augsburg, Germany, struggled to maintain religious peace as the confessional boundaries between its Catholic and Protestant communities hardened. As tensions gradually rose, city officials feared and scrutinized the disruptive potential of the psalms and chorales sung by Augsburg's Protestant majority. Those suspected of owning, singing, or distributing inflammatory songs were subject to imprisonment, interrogation, torture, and exile. When an Imperial decree established a fully Catholic city government in March 1629, the authorities tightened this scrutiny, banning Protestant singing entirely in public and private and using a network of informants to catch violators. A remarkably well-preserved collection of criminal interrogation records in Augsburg dramatizes city officials' concern about religious song and their attempts to restrict its cultivation through coercive measures. These records, which preserve the testimony of suspects and witnesses as well as original evidence (such as manuscript or printed songs), show the ways in which local authorities tried to control singing that they felt threatened the public peace. At the same time, these sources give us unparalleled insight into the production, performance, and circulation of religious songs. Although the interrogations reveal much about how and where songs——often contrafacta of well-known psalms or chorales——were written and performed, the authorities were especially intent on finding out how they originated, who bought, sold, and sang them, and why. These exchanges between interrogators and suspects provide a starting point for an analysis of the relationship between singing, religion, and criminality in an early modern urban environment.

The study of policing in China is a small but growing subfield with critical insights for law and society scholars. This article examines the fundamentals of policing, tracing the organization’s history and institutional basics before turning to a review of the emerging literature. Scholars have made headway analyzing topics like policing practices, social control, public relations, and police perspectives, but there is still much work to be done. Partly because research on the police faces methodological challenges, the literature is uneven, leaving gaps in our knowledge about key issues such as police corruption, regional variation, and the relationship between police and private security groups. By outlining what we do and do not know about policing in China, this article parses the field’s best answers to questions of how police officers and the Public Security Bureau enforce state mandates and respond to challenges on the ground.

Since the 1950s, police departments have been concerned with police public relations. In order to improve these relations, the Ministry of Public Security did a lot of work. In the 1950s and early 1960s, the relations were more harmonious. Since the 1980s, the relationship has got worse. The main reasons are: (1) The serious social security order situation has forced police departments to distance themselves from the public; (2) Police are forced to do non-police work; (3) Social changes also serve to further distance police from the public; (4) Police departments cannot adjust themselves to the needs of the current situation; (5) Police misconduct is the most important factor to harm the relations in China. In response to these problems police departments have taken the following measures: (1) Strengthened education and training; (2) Improved regulations and discipline to control police conduct; (3) Reinforced inspection and supervision of police; (4) Persistently launched anti-corruption campaigns; (5) Delivered good services to residents.

This study aims to construct the assets accountability of the Sultan Mudaffar Sjah II era of the Ternate’s Sultanate (1975-2015). The focus of the study was to uncover various forms of embodiment and values contained in accountability during the Sultan Mudaffar Sjah II Ternate’s Sultanate. This research uses ethnographic methods developed by River and Boas. The analysis used to answer research questions uses Foucoult's historical thought analysis of Power-Knowledge. Questions were given to several informants who explained that they were competent to support this research. In carrying out asset accountability, the values inherent in the Accountability of Sultan Mudaffar Sjah are based on the philosophy of Jou se Ngofangare which is closely held by the Ternate’s Sultanate. Accountability of Jou se Ngofangare is what gave birth to a trilogy of dimensions that instills the values of a harmonious relationship between humans and God, humans and humans, and the relationship between humans and nature. The construction of accountability for Sultan Mudaffar's assets takes several forms: His view is that all property is intended for the people. Much has been done by Sultan Mudaffar Sjah during his leadership in the contemporary era, from protecting all forms of the Sultanate's assets. Starting from accountability for power, accountability for trust and responsibility for customary land, until he also donated land for the public interest in this case to the City Government of Ternate, namely for the construction of Khairun University as well as the construction of an airport.

Researchresults find communication activity conducted in Surabaya city government public relation Activitiesthe management of Media Relations as a means of communication to the public using a one-waycommunication, where is Surabaya city government public relations role as journalists indisseminating information to the public, and controls the news or information to mass media.In application of Surabaya City Government Public Relations are already maximizing the duties andfunctions of Public Relations Surabaya City Government in achieving and maintaining excellentservice and quality information, and to improve information channels and public aspirations, andmaintain harmonious relations with the media and the public.

This study focuses on the communications that was built by the Public Relations (PR) in East Jakarta Administration City Government with the Press community through their roles in the administrative activities of government. The purpose of this study was to determine the PR activities of East Jakarta Administration City Government in establishing good communication with the Press as the government's partner in promoting the various activities that are beneficial to society. The research method used in this study is a case study (case study). The results showed that the role of Public Relations of East Jakarta Administration City Government in establishing good communication with the press, is done through activities, such as press conferences, press releases, and press gathering. All activities are done well, so as to create a communication and a good relationship, in any cooperation between the Press and the Government of East Jakarta, making it easier for local governments in disseminating various work programs.
