Tourism potential in Petulu Village is quite large but has not been optimally utilized to be developed as a tourism village given the constraints, such as weak human resources, weak understanding of the concept of tourism villages, uncertain natural conditions, and lack of tourism supporting infrastructure. This research was conducted to analyze the strategy in the development of Petulu Village as a kokokan tourism village in Gianyar Regency. Using SWOT analysis can analyze factors, opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses. This research was conducted by combining two methods, namely: qualitative methods and quantitative methods, in their presentation in the form of tables and narratives. The results of the research strategy for the development of the kokokan tourism village in Petulu Gianyar Village are based on the SWOT matrix indicating that the strength and opportunity strategy factors have the highest value of 3,248, where the strength factor is 1,703 and the opportunity factor is 1,545. The development strategy is; 1). Developing bird watching attractions heron bird and making captivity to preserve heron bird; 2). Make tour packages with nearby tours such as monkey forest, clinging rice terrace, kokokan petulu, ubud; 3). Maintain and develop cultural and artistic traditions in the Petulu Village area, 4). Develop and improve carving production as souvenirs, in the form of statues, key chains, heron bird paintings; 5) Maintain the cleanliness of the natural environment; 6). Developing typical village culinary such as typical petulu, injin injur, satay kakul

Edelweis tourism village is one of the tourist villages located in Pacitan Regency, East Java. This tourist village is still in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area. This tourist village has the main tourism potential, namely the Edelweiss flower or eternal flower. In this research, using descriptive analysis which is qualitative in nature. The data obtained were then analyzed using SWOT analysis. From the results of this study, the development strategy of Wonokriti Village as an Edelweiss tourism village is obtained, including holding activities related to the Edelweiss flower, making this village a center for educational tourism, especially edelweiss flowers, developing tourism supporting infrastructure, holding hospitality training for human resources involved in management. This article analisys tourism development strategy of Talaud regency, North Sulawesi Province. This regency has a great tourism potential but faces vaious problems. Its tourism potentials is evidenced from the diversity of the natural, culture, and man made tourism attractions. The great tourism potential has not been able to make Talaud widely known by tourists. As the outermost regions, the problems of accessibility are the main obstacles faced by the region of Talaud Islands. Other obstacles such as limited electricity and telecommunication access, and the lack of supporting facilities of tourism activities, have an impact, on the slow development of tourism potential in Talaud. Stages in the research were: described the potentials of tourism, then explained the obstacles that hinder the potential, and finally formulated strategies for the development of tourism potentials. SWOT matrix analysis is used to find the strategies to develop the tourism potential in Talaud. S-O strategy includes the development strategy of attraction. S-T strategy is the institutional strategy. W-O strategy includes the development strategy of public facilities and the supporting facilities at each tourist attraction. W-T strategy includes the making of programs intended for the community participation.

The research aim is to determine development strategy of Banjar Samu as a tourism village. This research used qualitative and quantitative data with source from primary and secondary data. Observation, interview and documentation are data collection techniques. The sample method used purposive sampling while data analysis used descriptive qualitative and SWOT analysis.  Based on the results, the research indicate is that Banjar Samu have tourism potential which is consisted of natural potentials include panorama of rice fields and water springs. While the potential of culture include: community activities, hospitality and attitude of mutual cooperation, temples: building architecture and religious activity, sacred art of barong landung and another arts entertainment such as joged bumbung, arja, gambelan geguntangan, as well as local craft communities such as wood carving, silver handicrafts, yoga-meditation activity and sekaa such as sekaa gong,  joged, geguntangan, arja, angklung, subak and sekaa santi. Based on the analysis of SWOT Matrix, the results obtained by SO strategies are improving the quality of tourism potential and establish tourist activity. ST strategy is improving the security services. WO strategies are increasing cooperation with the government college, arranging some promotion. Every tourism potential owned by Bali needs to be studied, researched and developed in order to meet the needs of the economy community. One of the tourism potential that needs to be developed in Bali is the wine tourism. Buleleng Regency is one of the largest wineries and also the house of the oldest wine factory on the island of Bali. But there are still many foreign tourists who are not aware of the existence of the wine producing region. This study aims to determine the perception of tourists about the wine products and to know the development strategy that must be done in order to support the activities of wine tourism in Buleleng Regency. The results of this study showing that the tourists perception regarding Bali wine product shows that they feel the quality of the products is good and also shows their interest to do wine tourism in Buleleng Regency. Based on the results of SWOT analysis, there are several strategies that can be applied to develop the wine tourism such as increasing the promotion of tourism in Bali to be better known by foreign tourists, government working together with the wine-producing companies to jointly develop wine tourism activities in Buleleng, and the last by expanding the area of wineries in the district of Buleleng so there is an image or existence of wine tourism in Buleleng. In connection with the results and discussion in this study, the suggestion that is expected to be done by the government is to work with companies that produce wine in improving the quality of products and services, and pay attention to periodicity and innovation on a regular basis.

The Pincara Village area has one of the potential of a tourist village in Masamba District, North Luwu Regency. Pincara Tourism Village has a beautiful landscape so that it can be used as a natural tourism object with the uniqueness, authenticity, social, and culture of the community. The development of the potential of the Pincara Tourism Village must be more focused so that its development and development can be better. The aim of the research is to see the feasibility of the Pincara Tourism Village and to find out the direction for the development of the Tourism Village. In achieving the objectives of the research, several stages of tourism potential analysis were carried out in order to determine the potential attractiveness of the Pincara tourism village which was feasible to be developed, besides using a SWOT analysis in determining the development directions that must be carried out in determining the development direction that will be applied to the Tourism Village. The result of this research is that Pincara Tourism Village is a tourism village that is feasible to be developed with excellent village potential to further improve the development strategy carried out in the form of a Master Plan for the development of the Tourism Village area, maximizing the processing of tourism potential, increasing government cooperation with the community in developing village potential, utilizing the functional relationship of the surrounding villages.

Tourism development in an area is able to give an impact on various dimensions of local people life. One of the impacts of tourism development is on the economic dimension. It happened to Sawahlunto, a city in West Sumatera famous for its coal mines, which slowly developed into a tourist city. The purpose of this study was to find out the Strength & Weakness, Opportunity & Threat and to formulate the development strategy of Kota Tua as a tourism destination in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra. The research method is descriptive method using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the development strategy of the Old City area of Sawahlunto used a lot of SWOT analysis, namely by increasing and optimizing natural resources through good processing, improving road access, and improving the tourism sector of Old City Sawahlunto. Another strategy is improving human resources through counseling and training, socialization of science and technology. The tourism potential of Sawahlunto old town on the 4A tourism component (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities and Ancillary) shows that this area has the potential of historical tourist attraction. The historical heritage of World War II in Sawahlunto is the main tourism potential that is stored. With historical tourism potential, foreign tourists are the target of tourists who are expected to visit Sawahlunto. In order for a historical tourism potential strategy to be implemented, it is necessary to meet the minimum criteria of the tourism component. To meet the service standards of all 4A tourism components, it is necessary to improve the management of 4A tourism components including Attraction, Accessibility, Ancillary, and Amenity.

This study aimed to analyze the development strategy of business and goat milk processing in the Goatzilla Farm, Lumajang, East Java. This research was descriptive. Methods of data by surveys using questionnaires. Data were analyzed by SWOT matrix to find out opportunities and threats in Goatzilla Farm. The results of the study used SWOT analysis. Alternative strategies recommendated in the Goatzilla Farm were SO strategies (Strength Opportunities), namely comparative strategy primacy, efficiency and internal development, and information technology to improve product quality. The results of the study showed to need cooperation with the government, farmers, and distribution networks to provide raw materials and increased product sales. The threat of Goatzilla Farm needed to watch out for was licensing which was processed immediately to support a bargaining position. There was no sufficient licensing, it could threat the sustainability of the business.

Bogor Regency of West Java Province that is developing the potential of its territory for tourist destination and attract the attention of local and foreign tourists to visit. The location that researcher has been choosed to do research is Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng which is located in Bogor regency. Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng located in the village of Cihideung Udik, Ciampea District has a tourism concept based on nature tourism and educational tourism. The purpose of this research are to identify the development component of the destination (factual conditions in the field), identify the tourist tipology who visit Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng and develop strategies Kampoeng Tourism Development Cinangneng based on tourist tipology. This research is a descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative research. Quantitative research is conducted to determine the tourist characteristics and tourist tipology that calculated by used percentages. Qualitative research is conducted to find out the development strategy in Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng. Generally qualitative research method is intended for research that is observed case. The collected data will be analyzed using SWOT analysis, followed by compiling alternative strategies using SWOT matrix. Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng has a good enough strength to be developed based on the tourist tipology, but the nature and culture of the existing tourism has not been maximally utilized, although it has a good accessibility, less complete amenitas, condition of supporting facilities is complete enough. The result of typology is that tourists who visit Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng tend to mid-centric tipology. Based on the results of SWOT analysis bring out an alternative strategy that is: Invite local people to teach tourists to make souvenirs that them make, adding outbound packages to be variants that can be offered to tourists, make a places to eat in the middle of rice field with food from local community.

This study was conducted to identify and analyze the external factors that can lead to opportunities and threats, as well as internal factors are the strengths and weaknesses for boarding, so we can know what strategies are suitable to appliedi schools in an effort to increase its presence as an Islamic educational institutions in the environment conditions that have changed into modern one. The focus of research is the development strategy of boarding school in an effort to maintain its existence as educational institutions in the era of globalization. This type of research is qualitative research. Data analysis methods used are: a qualitative analysis, which is a series of activities to analyze the data in the study objects that are not expressed in the figures using SWOT analysis. Research results indicate that the development of appropriate strategies to be implemented in the pesantren of Banyuwangi regency there are :1) development of Islamic educational institutions there are two, namely:consistent and adaptive, 2) renewal of pesantren management by application of professional management, 3) improving resource there are namely: enhancement of human resources and improvement of Natural Resources.

Community-based tourism is one type of tourism that involves community participation to achieve the goal of sustainable tourism development. The purpose of this study is to determine the tourism potential to be managed by the community based on people's perceptions of the existing tourism potential, as well as identifying people's perceptions of national, regional, and also traditional policies in tourism. This research was divided into several data collection, internal-external factor analysis, data analysis and development strategy analysis using the SWOT matrix. The conclusions of this study are (1) Natural resources in Labuan Bajo which can be used as tourist attractions that have not been managed and developed properly. Those are Ara Mountain, Ina Mountain, Namong Island, Kelaki Island, Kima Island, Komodo, wild horses and buffalo, savannah, Rangka Cave, Gosong, Pasir Timbul, Mangrove and several underwater object such as Manta and coral reefs. (2) Based on a quantitative strategy, the development strategy that is suitable to be carried out in Labuan Bajo is the S-O Strategy which is carried out by utilizing the strength needed to achieve the opportunities that exist. (3) Based on a qualitative strategy, a suitable strategy to be carried out in Labuan Bajo is related to the improvement of public facilities, partnerships with universities, improvement of the people's economy, and the improvement of regional and group economies.
