This study aims to look at the relationship between religiosity and death in older adults. The subject selection technique was done by purposive sampling consisting of 48 elderly adults. This study uses a non experimental quantitative approach. Hypothesis testing is done through the Pearson product moment correlation statistical test using the SPSS application. This study proves that there is a negative linear relationship between religiosity and anxiety of death in older adults. this proves that religious older adults have lower anxiety in the face of death. On the other hand, older adults with a low religious level proved to be more anxious in facing death.

This contribution towards the subject is limited to three of its aspects—namely, the possible aetiological role of inherited predisposition and psychogenic factors (mainly environmental to which the patient is still exposed), the relationship between late endogenous depression and the symptoms of cerebrovascular changes, and prognosis. On the face of it, prognosis of course must ultimately depend on that of the cerebrovascular disorder but apparently hereditary and environmental factors play a more significant role. Inherited predisposition is here assessed in terms of constitutional and personality factors.

Disputations were a fixture of Martin Luther’s academic career. Luther participated regularly in disputations. It was an important communicative vehicle through which he developed and expressed his theology. The well-known 95 theses are a case in point. Luther’s career as a disputator was impressive. Several of his most influential disputations were explicitly intended for consideration by his academic and ecclesiastical colleagues, but the majority of his disputations took place as a curricular exercise at the University of Wittenberg. The purpose of these disputations was pedagogical and polemical. Luther deployed the same tools for his defence of proper doctrine that were at the centre of the Protestant reformation in the face of objections. The disputatio de homine is a systematic summary of Luther’s anthropology. It incorporates the doctrine of justification as the theological definition of man. It treats the subject within the context of the relationship between theology and philosophy, and reflects upon the new language of theology. The disputatio de homine provides an essential resource for the study of Luther’s anthropology and the doctrine of justification.

This chapter explores the relationship between self-control and decision-making. In particular, it examines various problems with the idea that agents can (and do) exercise self-control over their decisions. Two facts about decisions give rise to these problems. First, decisions do not result from intentions to make those very decisions. Second, decisions are often made when agents are uncertain what to do, and thus when agents lack best judgments. On the common understanding of self-control as an ability to act in line with an intention or best judgment (in the face of counter-motivation), decisions are not, and perhaps cannot, be the subject of self-control. In light of this, the authors propose that this common conception of self-control needs revision. As well as commitment-based self-control, they argue that there is also non-commitment-based self-control—the type of self-control over an action that need not involve any prior evaluative or executive commitment.

Business Continuity Management (BCM) is commonly known as one of the most effective programs to use in the face of crisis, incident, and disaster, specifically for organizations to continue or resume their operations. Over time, the concept has gained popularity and has developed into one of the strategies in a resilience plan. The purpose of this study is to explore the trend of BCM, the subject, and the relationship between BCM and associated study fields through a preliminary systematic literature review. This research used the articles from ScienceDirect database from January 1, 1999, to December 31, 2018. This study analyzed the collected articles using their publication years, journal titles, countries, and relevant study fields. The result found that several papers have been published since 1999, which focus predominantly on the BCM standard. The rate of publication on BCM had escalated in 2015. There were 82 papers about BCM. The issues were categorized into ten main subjects. Among them, the most frequently mentioned are Information Technology (IT) security, followed by implementing BCM into diverse study disciplines, implementing new toolkits into BCM associated studies, BCM improvement, resilience, lessons learned, supply chain, and BCM advantages. The gap of the research lays a foundation for future studies in similar fields.

Anxiety is a condition that arises when there is a threat of helplessness, feelings of isolation. Anxiety is also a matter of excessive concern and internalized as well as a variety of summative symptoms that cause significant disturbances in social or work functions that cause a decrease in interest in learning mathematics in students. Interest has a very important role in the learning process because interest is one of the determining factors in the success or action of the instructor's objectives to be achieved. Students who are not interested in the subject matter will show less sympathetic, lazy and not passionate attitudes. The data collection method uses a questionnaire for learning interest variables. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of student anxiety to interest in learning mathematics. The research subjects were 30 students. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: (1) there was a relationship of students 'anxiety to the interest in learning mathematics, or in other words the interest in learning mathematics at all was related by students' anxiety in their interest in learning mathematics in the face of examinations, especially in mathematics; (2) there is no relationship of interest in learning mathematics, or in other words there is no relationship of interest in learning mathematics that students have in learning mathematics. The relationship of anxiety that occurs between mathematics learning interest and anxiety is negative 0,417; (3) as a stimulus, anxiety about learning interest has a proven influence on the relationship of students' anxiety to mathematics learning interest

The Relationship Between Anterior Teeth Retraction with The Lip Shape During Treatment on Bimaxillary Protrusion Using Begg Technique. The changes of hard tissue at the third lower area of the face affect the changes of the soft tissue. The movement of the anterior teeth influences lip shape which is in direct contact with these. This research aims to determine the relationship between the change of anterior teeth position and the change of upper and lower lips after orthodontic treatment on bimaxillary dental protrusion with Begg technique in adult Javanese. The research was conducted to 17 pairs of lateral setalogram on patients aged 18 to 35 with bimaxilar protrusion after and before treatment. Each setelogram measured the change of anterior teeth position (measured as the horizontal distance from the incisal tip to a constructed vertical to sella) and the change of upper and lower lips (measured as thickness and length of the lips). Data on anterior teeth position changes and lips changes were analysed using Pearson product moment correlation test and regression analysis. The result showed that there was a positive correlation between the change of anterior teeth position and the change in thickness and length of the upper and lower lips. The thickness of the upper and lower lips increased significantly (p<0,05). The length of upper and lower lips increased significantly too (p<0,05). Based on the research, it is concluded that treatment for on bimaxillary protrusion with Begg technique on the upper and lower anterior teeth retraction increases the thickness and length of upper and lower lips

This is an analysis of the ethico-cultural crisis of modernity and the emergence of the so-called postmodern aesthetic expressions (and conduct), examined principally from the point of view of Frederic Jameson and its coincidence with other authors (D. Lowe, G. Lipovetsky, and P. Virilio). I also investigate the relationship between the new sensitivities of the end of the century and the notion of justice, and its moral. This is seen by the authors as a consequence of the impact that mass-media technologies have produced in individuals leading to a new form of experience: the aesthetization of life and the fragmentation of the subject. The culture of the image is omnipresent, diluting art into aesthetization and the subject into the objectivization of consumption. We can see that there is a loss of historicity in the postmodern individual-originating from the speed of audiovisual information-upon perceiving, on a screen, the world in an instanct, without references to either a past or a future. The new technologies are the product of a new stage of capitalism, even more so than in the modernity of massive consumption. As a consequence of these three factors (aesthetization, ahistoricity, consumption), there has emerged a hedonistic ethos which differentiates itself from its modern vanguardist antecedents in that it is no longer the transgressor of a religious moral, or the secularism of duty, because pleasure is no longer forbidden. This framework, which is lacking in hard principles and is sustained by 'weak and conviction free' individuals is compatible with the liberal ethic of Rawls. In the face of the contradiction of modernity, we shall reconsider, as factors of socio-political construction, the moral values provided by the world's great religions.

This chapter explores the importance of affect in Derrida’s understanding of the political. The recent ‘affective turn’ in the humanities and social sciences is often seen as a turn away from the earlier ‘textualist’ models of poststructuralism. This chapter shows that affect is, however, central to deconstruction and to Derrida’s account of the relationship between subjectivity and the political, a relationship it traces to Derrida’s involvement in the 1980s with Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe’s and Jean-Luc Nancy’s Centre de recherches philosophiques sur le politique (Centre for Philosophical Research on the Political). Derrida’s writings on the political (le politique) and on politics (la politique) begin from the premise that the passionate bonds which tie us to ourselves and to others are always accompanied by anxiety in the face of loss or destruction. This aporia, which emerges in dialogue with Freud’s theory of affect and group psychology, is fundamental to the psychical (an)economy of the subject of deconstruction. The latter poses difficult questions to contemporary philosophical and theoretical approaches to affect, some of which are explored here. Texts such as Politiques de l’amitié (Politics of Friendship), Voyous (Rogues), and Le “concept” du 11 septembre (Philosophy in a Time of Terror) underscore how politics can exploit the fragility of the bond between self and other in promising an end to anxiety. For Derrida, however, such anxiety is interminable because it is part of the aporetic structure of subjectivity from the very beginning.
