The aim of this article is to analyze the fears about menstruation and health that have been passed down to us by oral transmission from a gender perspective. A qualitative study, whose design was the Grounded Theory, performed in Seville, Spain, with 24 rural and urban women from different generations, young (18-25, 26-35 years), middle aged (36-45, 46-55, 56-65 years) and elderly (> 65 years). The semi-structured interview was used as a data collection technique. The discourses were subjected to content analysis, following the steps of Grounded Theory. The results highlight the abundant fears related to use of water during menstruation, with very harmful effects to health. As a conclusion to highlight the lack of women's knowledge about reproductive health and that despite Health Education campaigns there are still ancient misconceptions present about menstruation.

ABSTRACTMosques in Indonesia especially in Java are also not free from the influence of local culture. This is because Indonesian people are generally eclectic, so the form of our mosques are a mixture of remnants of Hindu culture, Indian buildings, or Turkey. Nowadays, Buton culture has been revitalized like the shape of the Malige roof on school buildings, shops, and offices. While the form of the Palace of Buton mosque and the traditional house of Buton Malige have never been adapted to be an alternative form of a mosque in the City of Baubau. This research is intended to design a sub-scale mosque in the West Tongano Village, Tomia Timur District, Wakatobi Regency with eclectic architectural principles towards the Keraton Buton mosque and the traditional house of Buton Malige. This study uses a grounded theory method with a qualitative approach. Data sources consist of primary data and secondary data. Data collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Data were analyzed by means of data reduced, presented, and concluded. This study concluded that the architectural elements of the mosque in Tomia Timur Subdistrict, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province which were modified from the traditional Great Mosque building of the Keraton Buton were mosque plans, mosque windows, mosque exterior stairs, and mosque foundations, while from the traditional houses of Buton Malige were a double-decker roof house (Malige) and a mosque on stilts.

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the performance of the Regional Parliament of Palangka Raya in carrying out legislative powers and to describe and analyze the constraints that affect the Palangka Raya City DPRD in setting regional regulations. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The types and sources of data chosen by researchers are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used to obtain information are interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the performance of the Palangka Raya City DPRD (DPRD) in exercising legislative power with the City of Palangka Raya government is quite good. In the period 2015 to 2017, 36 local regulations have been discussed and established. However, if it is reviewed from the proposal initiation, it can be said to be unsatisfactory, because only 9 Regional Regulations are the initiative of the Palangka Raya City DPRD. Factors that influence the performance of the DPRD of Palangka Raya City in setting regional regulations are: Human Resources, Data and Information, and Experience. The condition of Human Resources with an average Bachelor level education (21 out of 30 people) is actually a supporting factor for performance. Given that the basic education is not in line and experience that is still lacking, it becomes an obstacle to support the legislative performance of members of the Palangka Raya City DPRD.

Abstract The ability to carry out repairs is a key skill in spoken discourse for non-native speakers of English and has been widely studied. However, VAN HEST et al. (1997) have suggested that investigations into repair in L2 need to be more theoretically driven and less concerned with individual differences. Drawing on information from a pilot study of twenty-three conversations, lasting 185 minutes between six native and six non-native speakers, this paper argues that there is no conflict between a concern with individual differences and theory building. What is needed is a contextualised theory which is grounded in particular situations and individual differences. The paper identifies three possible areas of difficulty that may arise if a theory is not contextualised. Firstly, the paper argues that theory driven research encourages methods of data collection that we characterise as experimental and suggest that these need to be supplemented by more naturalistic forms of data collection. Secondly, the paper criticises the view that there are general preferences as to who initiates and who completes repairs and argues that a contextualised theory of repair would capture initiation/completion patterns more adequately. Finally, the paper argues that the distinction between native and non-native speakers needs to be re-examined. This is supported by the finding in the pilot study that there was little variation between native and non-native speakers in terms of these analyses.

Objective: This work sought to describe the meanings constructed by patients with coronary disease (PCD) the communication process used by nurses during the transition from the hospital (coronary care unit) to the home for therapeutic adherence. Method: The article corresponds to a qualitative study, which used an approach through grounded theory. The participants were 12 informants from the city of Medellin, Colombia. Data reliability was guaranteed. Results: Construction of a theoretical postulate: “Reconstructing the significance of treatment: from the indifference to reviving with a dialogic bond that relieves”. The process faced by PCD, derived from the communication process, goes from “living in ignorance”, “experiencing rupture with the treatment” to “reconstructing: finding sense” and, finally, “finding a state of harmony: new learnings”. This last achievement is obtained when creating awareness in the “dialogic bond that relieves”. Conclusions: The meaning granted by PCD to the communication process for therapeutic adherence is established when reaching transformation and expanding the conscience (creating awareness) in a “dialogic bond that relieves”; likewise, when this process is full of apathy and indifference, the sense of the treatment is lost.
