This article considers mathematical dependences of properties of a casting mold on various parameters of her shaping. The competitiveness in production of castings depends on durability, reliability of the made details, ability to meet requirements and expectations of the consumer of production. Technological process of receiving castings most widespread now in the sandyargillaceous forms (SAF) not completely meets the modern requirements as it is characterized by different types of marriage: gas porosity, scorch, shrinkable sinks, blockages, hot and cold cracks, and others. The bigger quality of castings gives casting in the sand-pitch forms (SPF) in which the high gas permeability and durability are combined, they don’t resist shrinkage, don’t absorb moisture the stiffening alloy and aren’t inclined to an fallibility. However, one of shortcomings of this way of casting is rather high cost binding. One of the directions of decrease in an expense binding is use along with heating of mix for shaping of a cover and static loading. Other direction of decrease in a consumption of mix in general, and binding in particular, is determination of dependence of properties of a shell form on technological parameters that will promote management of properties of a form, decrease in marriage, etc. Formulas of the intense deformed state, density, amounts of heat of the sand-pitch form made at the same time in the conditions of heating and static loading are presented

A new methodology for determining and optimizing the contrast of the technological laser marking process has been developed. It can evaluate the quality of the markings regardless of the type of material and the type of laser system. To perform the test analysis, a specialized test field is programmed, which including the change of two of the main parameters influencing the marking process: the linear energy density (LED) and the linear density of the pulses (LDI). Marking of a test field consisting of squares of a certain size is done by means of a raster marking method with a constant step between the lines. The results are processed with a digital camera and specialized software. The maximum blackening is compared with the background of all fields and is juxtaposed with the effective energy needed to obtain a certain contrast. Several consecutive iterations are made, with each of the following experiments excluding the variants with least contrast. Thus, the study consistently brings the result to a minimum working area of the basic technological parameters, providing the user's desired contrast of the marking. The developed author's method of automatically determining the contrast of the laser marking reduces the time for preliminary experimental research and gives a reliable and subjectively absent way of qualitatively marking different types of industrial products.

ISO organization (https://www.iso.org) in early 90s defined an industry standard for the communication protocol among electronic devices of different manufacturers of agricultural machines. After that, all of the market actors recognised that this technology would be very important for agricultural electronics. The appearance of ISOBUS products in the market was in the mid-2000s. ISOBUS description could be found in ISO-11783 (https://www.iso.org). Through the standards and the related technical background, the production processes and the operations could be followed and monitored by the extensive Data Management. Farmers' and users legitimate needs and developing goal is to elaborate a decision support systems that follow-up the utilisation of the machines and ensure the quality of operations. For this purpose, it is essential to determine which technical, economical, technological parameters detection, measurement, transmission, processing, and evaluation becomes necessary. In our work, we reviewed which mechanical characteristic, settings are monitored within the ISOBUS system by the major machine manufacturers. We developed the system of parameters and derived features that provide effective farm-, and land-management in case of attached equipment for spreading of input materials, plant protection and tillage implements.

The article discusses the issue of industrial compounding, which improves the quality of the raw materials supplied to the main pipelines. Compounding from "to compound" (English) - to mix. When mixing different types of oil obtained, "incompatibility" is possible, which is expressed in the precipitation of a solid sediment and violation of the stability of the colloidal system and due to the differing properties of oils. Attention to this problem is due to the tightening of requirements for the quality of raw materials that must comply with modern standards. The article discusses the causes of the problem of "incompatibility" of oil during compounding and effective ways of solving it, substantiates the need for a preliminary study of the properties of mixed oil in order to identify possible incompatibility of various types of oil. The standard tests for determination of incompatibility indices characterizing the ability of raw materials to mix are considered. The article substantiates the need to develop methods for diagnosing the incompatibility of oils as the most important task of modern chemical science, the solution of which will improve the quality of the raw material obtained and solve many technological problems in the compounding process.

Clay of the deposit Liepa is used for the production of ceramic building and finishing bricks in the factory “Lode” in Latvia. In the present work different types of these clays were investigated and “quartz effect” was determined using quartz sand as a leaning material. The substitution of quartz sand with milled E-glass fibre from Valmiera Glass was investigated and the changes in the magnitude of the quartz inversion effect were analysed. Thermal expansion was the main method for the determination of possible formation of cracks during technological process. Powder of milled glass fibre in amount of 5–10 % affects such properties as water uptake, porosity and apparent density and provides the required material properties at a lower firing temperature.

Concept maps have been shown to have a positive impact on the quality of student learning in a variety of disciplinary contexts and educational levels from primary school to university by helping students to connect ideas and develop a productive knowledge structure to support future learning. However, the evaluation of concept maps has always been a contentious issue. Some authors focus on the quantitative assessment of maps, while others prefer a more descriptive determination of map quality. To our knowledge, no previous consideration of concept maps has evaluated the different types of knowledge (e.g., procedural and conceptual) embedded within a concept map, or the ways in which they may interact. In this paper we consider maps using the lens provided by the Legitimation Code Theory (LCT) to analyze concept maps in terms of semantic gravity and semantic density. Weaving between these qualitatively, different knowledges are considered necessary to achieve professional knowledge or expert understanding. Exemplar maps are used as illustrations of the way in which students may navigate their learning towards expertise and how this is manifested in their concept maps. Implications for curriculum design and teaching evaluation are included.

The determination of the optimal operational mode of drum mills can be assessed by different criteria. The most important of them can be formulated as follows: “To be specified and established the values of the mill operational parameters regarding to which it is possible to be provided the user’s expected performance at the required quality of the final product and the same to be achieved at minimal energy consumption”. For the fulfillment of this condition, there has to be determined the laws of productivity variation, the final product quality and the energy consumption in function of the adequately chosen representative control parameters of the mill. There are obtained mathematical models, describing the most important technological parameters of the machine and are made conclusions about the factors influencing on them.

The article presents the results of a study of technological parameters (specific mass, bulk mass, volume mass, porosity, quantity cavities between particles, free volume of a layer of the crude materials and coefficient of absorption of solvents) and individual the numerical indicators of the quality (moisture; ash residue: total and insoluble in 10% solution of hydrochloric acid; chopped crude materials; extraneous materials) of the Canadian goldenrod herb. The content of extractive substances was determine. The obtained data will be used in the technological process in the production of extraction preparations.

Annotation Purpose. Improving the methodology of substantiation of the selection of energy means for performing technological operations in walnut orchards, which is the basis for further determination of their rational parameters. Methods. The research uses the principles of systems analysis, as well as monographic and graph analytical methods. Results. Performing technological operations in walnut orchards requires special features from tractors: movement in the rows of the garden without damaging the tree crown; providing aggregation of symmetrical machines and with lateral displacement; availability of a universal hydraulic system for the drive of working bodies; to provide statistical and dynamic stability when hanging agricultural machines. To achieve this goal, it is advisable to consider the tractor on a two-parameter classification system, ie the transition from traction to traction-energy concept, take into account the traction force of the tractor on the hook and the effective power of the tractor engine. To substantiate the parameters of the energy means of performing technological operations in perennial walnut plantations, an algorithm is proposed that allows taking into account the technical and technological parameters of MTU. It is developed on the basis of information on the technologies of growing walnuts available on the world market and technical means for their implementation. It is developed on the basis of information about the technologies and technical means of walnut production available on the world market and allows carrying out their system-structural analysis. The identification of domestic and foreign energy remedy available on the market to ensure the technological process of walnuts production was carried out and correlation-regression analysis was performed, which allowed establishing the relationship between tractor cost and their parameters: engine power, operating weight. The proposed dependences make it possible to substantiate the rational (optimal) parameters of the technical support of the entire technological process with different subject-production characteristics. Conclusions. Based on the analysis of existing methods of substantiation of parameters of energy remedy for technological operations of agricultural production it is established that specialized methods that would take into account the peculiarities of walnut production absent. A new technique has been developed that will increase the efficiency of substantiation of energy parameters during the technological operations of walnut cultivation. The identification of available on the market energy remedy, machines and tools for technological operations of walnut production is carried out and their parametric and cost indicators are established. Based on these data, a regression analysis was performed, which made it possible to establish the relationships between price and their parametric indicators. The mechanical sorting process of granular and vegetal materials is a complex technological process influenced by a series of factors from which we remind: mechanical vibratory motion, geometrical measures of the sorting equipment and technological factors. Based on correlations between the presented elements one can establish the technological parameters of the sorting process so that to realize a quality separation.In the paper we present a method for determination of mechanical oscillations influence on the quality of the sorting process with planar sieves. The experiments performed on a dimensional sorter with planar sieves aimed at identification of an optimum working set-up in terms of frequency and amplitude of the sorter’s vibrators, for a quality separation degree.

The article presents the results of development and research of the technological process of forming wide outer flanges of lids of malt and distillation columns on sheet blanks by rolling stamping. For this purpose, equipment has been developed in the form of a rolling device for a lathe and an autonomous rolling unit, which allow to form the outer flanges with a conical roll. The rolling unit to the lathe provides the presence of coil springs for pressing the roll to the workpiece with the mandrel. Both settings provide the ability to change the angle of the axis of the rolling unit relative to the axis of the mandrel with the workpiece. Studies have shown that the technological capabilities of the process are limited by the corrugation of the flange wall. The power calculation of flanging of external flanges by a conical roll by the SHO method is carried out and formulas for determination of deformation forces are received. The acceptable accuracy of these formulas has been experimentally confirmed, and there is a tendency to increase the error with increasing geometric dimensions of the workpiece. To assess and expand the technological capabilities of the process, an analysis of the formation and deformed state of the workpieces. Since the main danger in the formation of external flanges by the SHO method is the loss of stability in the form of corrugations, the paper obtained an expression for determining the maximum width of the flange under the condition of a stable process. If it is necessary to obtain more developed flanges, it is proposed in the second stage to provide thinning of their wall by drawing with the use, if necessary, heating the workpiece by induction method.
