Introduction. The modern, rapidly changing world needs specialists with creative thinking skills, who are able to show rapidity, flexibility and originality in solving complex and extraordinary problems. When a specialist finds himself in such a situation where he faces extraordinary problems, he does not know how to solve them and is at a loss. It is impossible to acquire creative thinking skills without preparation. Therefore, a student, a future specialist, must be taught these skills. However, the difficulty lies in the fact that without developing students' skills such as analysis, synthesis, abstract, associative and combinatorial thinking, selective comparison, generalisation of information, system vision, assessment of ideas, the ability to ask right questions, to visualise and to draw conclusions, it will be difficult to further develop creative thinking in students.Aim. The aim of the study is to discover the relationship between various types of thinking and creative thinking, to determine the types of thought operations and the list of prerequisites that precede creative thinking, which will contribute to the formation of creative thinking in students.Methodology and research methods. General logical reasoning methods and some scientific research methods were applied. The phenomenological method was employed to understand the process of creative thinking. Based on the determination of the main parameters and properties of each type of thinking, it became possible to model the process of creative thinking activity, to investigate this mental process and draw certain conclusions. The use of the explanatory method also makes it possible to substantiate the need for the following prerequisites for the formation of creative thinking. Results and scientific novelty. Based on the analysis, it was discovered that various types of thinking are related to creative thinking, the types of thought operations were determined and a list of prerequisites was proposed. The list of prerequisites includes the following types of thinking: positive, synergetic, associative, abstract, visual, algorithmic, divergent, lateral, Janusian, questioning style, combinatorial, intuitive, systemic, and critical. The research results show the importance and necessity of prerequisites for creative thinking and also determine the trajectory of creative thinking activity.Practical significance. The research results can be useful for teachers of higher educational institutions with the aim of applying them in the learning process.

Creative thinking skills have become necessary and desirable competency for any professional. Learning styles are a reflection of the habitual behavior determining distinct preferences in a given learning situation. Evidence has suggested that there is a kind of relationship between these two variables. However, existing research on this has been rather minimal. It is worth noting that systematic review is used in this study for the exploration and determination of the relationship between learning styles and creative thinking skills. Five electronic databases were applied with a focus on studies that focused on the relationship between learning styles and creative thinking skills. Seven studies were finally included. Four key themes explain the results: Evolution of Creative Thinking in Academic Progress, Main Learning Styles, Learning Styles and Student Achievement, and Learning Styles and Creative Thinking Skills Correlation. The conclusion reached was comparative studies were able to illuminate on the existing relationship between learning styles and creative thinking skills. Nonetheless, more research needs to be carried out to determine the extent of this relationship or rather to enhance its significance.

Often we find the fact that skills gaps begin with the basic idea that many jobs exist, but skilled workers do not. The relationship exists between labor readiness, business and industrial development, and educational institutions have been around for a long time. However, this relationship cannot refute the fact that prospective employees are not ready to enter the workplace in the future. The Law of the Republic of Indonesia concerning the national education system addresses the importance of training in creative thinking skills by stating that the education system must develop the potential of students to be religious, respectful, well-educated, and competent in thinking creatively, independently, democratically, and responsibly. While empirical studies show that Indonesian students have unsatisfactory creative thinking skills. This study aims to describe how to train Creative Thinking Skills through project-based learning in preparing the Workforce to face global competition. From the results of the discussion it was concluded: 1) The government needs to be more serious in entering tertiary education and setting targets for maximum workforce readiness. 2) Educational institutions in their learning activities need to improve their mastery of high-level thinking skills in determining their educational success by improving high-level cognitive functions (metacognition, metamemory and metacomprehension, or assessing the truth of one's own memories; solving problems, or taking appropriate steps when dealing with unknown things, and think critically, or evaluate the quality of ideas). 3) For most educators today who are well connected and driven by technology, the mastery of technology literacy in education is still lacking, therefore mastery of technology literacy needs to be improved at the level of the teachers in this country. 4) Potential to integrate Project Based Learning (PBL) in the classroom to improve students' soft skills which in turn will ensure greater results for them in the future. To achieve that, their soft skills need to be improved by using the PBL approach. This approach is relevant to the concept of 21st century learning, especially in education.

The current chapter examines the relationship between facets of cognitive abilities and relevant learning activities by drawing on literature pertaining to higher- and lower-order critical thinking. Specific discussions were made on cognitive architecture and deep learning, modality and information process, and cognitive abilities and levels of process in learning activities. The cognitive ability-learning activity matrix was proposed to (1) raise attention to the relationship between cognitive abilities and relevant learning activities in transversal critical thinking in game-based learning and (2) guide educators, teachers, and professional trainers to facilitate effective transversal of critical thinking skills across domains, disciplines, and learning communities. Discussions of the theoretical and practical significance of the proposed matrix were made. Recommendations for future research were proposed to guide the direction and practice in fostering transversal skills in game-based learning.

The purpose of this study is to improve students' creative thinking skills in solving social problems proposed to them. The research design takes the form of a cycle starting from initial reflection → planning → action and observation → evaluation and reflection. If the indicator of success has not been achieved in cycle one, the researcher will conduct the second cycle with the same stage. After the data is collected the researcher will analyze the data, the technique used is descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques, namely analysis techniques by presenting data in the form of numbers or percentages to then be described. The first step of the analysis is to make a "suitable list of conformities" between the problems proposed and the answers to the research subjects. This step is to simplify the recapitulation of the answers of the research subjects between the wrong answers and the correct answers. In the list of matches, it has also been shown the category of types of creative thinking that might be given by the research subject. The second step is to calculate the answers of respondents then classified and entered into categories so that the information is more concise and detailed. In this activity, the researcher conducted a tabulation, namely the use of tables so that the data presented were more practical and easily understood besides being more systematic and directed. Third analyzing data means that the answers of respondents are related, aligned, and compared between one another and then described. The results showed that there was an increase in students' creative thinking skills because of the fairy tale activities carried out by researchers and there were positive responses from students to fairy-tale activities/activities carried out by researchers. The results will be disseminated at the research seminar and publish it to an accredited journal. The results seminar is expected to be a place for discussion for researchers, education practitioners, parents of students, especially teachers at the Muhammadiyah Manyar (SDMM) Gresik Elementary School. While publication of research results is expected to be able to enrich the literature of research results, especially those relating to fairy tales and students' creative thinking skills in solving social problems.
