<pre><strong>Abstract:</strong><strong> </strong>This study aims to determine the differences in the 5-Phase Learning Cycle model and the conventional learning model of students' science process skills on thermochemical materials. This type of research is quasi-experimental. Sampling using random sampling techniques and obtained two sample classes, namely Class XI MIPA 6B3 as an experimental class and XI MIPA 6C3 as a control class at SMAN 10 Malang in the academic year 2017/2018. Collecting data using the science process skill observation instrument sheet. The results showed that there were differences in science process skills between students who were taught with the 5 Phase Learning Cycle model and conventional learning models on thermochemical materials.</pre><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan model Daur Belajar 5 Fase dan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi termokimia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik <em>random sampling </em>dan diperoleh dua kelas sampel, yaitu Kelas XI MIPA 6B3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 6C3 sebagai kelas kontrol di SMAN 10 Malang tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model Daur Belajar lima Fase dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi termokimia.

The objective of this research is to analyze the science process skills (SPS) of the summative test items in physics in Surakarta. This research used a descriptive method with content analysis, namely: summative test items in Academic Year 2015/2016 in Surakarta. Each item was analyzed based on science process skill indicators prepared and elaborated by the researchers. The result and discussion of the research showed that the SPS found in the summative test items in Physics in Surakarta included those of formulating hypotheses (2.88%), designing experiments (2.10%), interpreting data (5.10%), applying concepts (70.20%), communicating (6.64%), and drawing conclusions (13.08%) respectively.

This research was about the implementation of the ICARE (Introduction-Connect-Apply-Reflect-Extend) learning model to the science process skills compared to the DI (Direct Instruction) learning model. This research was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population was all students of class X MIPA SMAN 4 Banjarmasin with sample consist of 2 classes selected by cluster random sampling, X MIPA 2 as an experimental class and X MIPA 4 as a control class. Data collection techniques were used test (instruments test description question) and observation technique like using the science process skills instrument. Data analysis using t-test obtained tcount larger than ttable at the 0.05 level of significance, ie 5.9 > 2.0, it means that there were a differenct in science process skills aspect between students who had learned with the ICARE learning model and the DI learning model. Students’ science process skills enhancement in the experimental class have a gain value of 0.61 in the medium category and in the control class have a gain value of 0.40 in the medium categoryKeywords: ICARE, science process skill, electrolyte and non electrolyte solution

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the contextual approach based on hands-on activity toward students’ science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of class VII of SMP 1 Kediri in the academic year 2016/2017. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research sample consisted of 51 students divided into experimental classes and control classes. The technique of collecting data in the form of tests to assess students 'cognitive learning outcomes, and performance assessment for students' science process skills. The results showed that the experimental class posttest average was 47.59 and the control class was 55.8. The students’ science process skills score for the experimental class with an average of 77.33 with a high category. The results of the t-test are obtained tcount <ttable (-2.012 <1.98), so that the contextual approach based on hands-on activity does not affect on the students’ cognitive learning outcomes of class VII of SMP 1 Kediri in the academic year 2016/2017.

<div align="center"><table width="645" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="439"><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This research was aimed to know the use of audiovisual media in a guided inquiry model of science processskills and mastery of students' concepts in science subjects. The low level of science process skills and mastery of concepts that exist today, becomes the urgency of this research. in this study, the type of research used was quasi-experimental research using two learning classes as research samples with different treatments. The sample is divided into experimental class and control class with simple random sampling technique. The analysis showed that there were significant differences in the experimental class with media use audiovisual in the guided inquiry model with the average value of science process skills and mastery of concepts is higher than the control class.</p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media audiovisual pada model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep saat ini, menjadi urgensi penelitian ini. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan dua kelas belajar sebagai sampel penelitian dengan perlakuan yang berbeda. Sampel tersebut dibedakan menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan <em>simple random sampling</em>. Hasil kajian menghasilkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dengan penggunaan media audiovisual pada model inkuiri terbimbing dengan nilai rata-rata Keterampilan Proses Sains dan penguasan konsep lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Science Technology Society (STS) learning in high school students of class XI IPA. This research is a quasi-experimental research using posttest only design. The sample used is 64 students from Senior High School in Bantul district, Yogyakarta. Samples were obtained using purposive random sampling. Data were collected using posttest value to determine the effect of Science Technology Society (STS) learning and using Student Worksheet to know student ability. The data were analyzed by using ANOVA. The results showed that Science Technology Society (STS) study had significant effect, with a significance value 0,043 (p<0,05). Based on these studies, it can be concluded that the learning Science Technology Society (STS) influential in students’ science process skills.

This study aims to look at the effect of the Problem Solving Model on Science Process Skills in Grade VIII students of SMPN 34 Padang. In Indonesia, science process skills are very minimal, because in the learning process the teacher still tends to use the lecture model and question and answer method, so the science process skills are not given to students. This type of research is quasi-experimental with research design Control Group Posttest Only Design. The population in this study were eighth -grade students of SMPN 34 Padang in the academic year 2018/2019. The samples from this study were class VIII6 as the experimental class and VIII7 as the control class. The research instrument used to view the science process skills of students is the Observation Sheet for Student Activities observed by the observer. Based on the results of research on science process skills of students, the t count 4.96> t table 1.67 The Science Process Skills Activity of students in the experimental class was higher than the control class. This study aimed to know the effect of science process skills of students and activity among the inquiry training and the conventional learning. This research is quasi-experimental study using pre-test and post-test design. The population of the study was students in Medan. Techniques that used to gain a simple is cluster random sampling, the first was grade as experimental class used the inquiry training model and the second was grade as the control class used the conventional learning. The instruments of this study were the science process skills test. The activity, affective, and psychomotor was used observation sheet. The analysis results that the inquiry training was better than that conventional learning in improving the science process skills of students.

<p>The purpose of this research is to improve science process skill of class X-2 student of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta 2010/2011 academic matter on subject matter Ecosystem and Environment by appliying <em>Learning Cycle</em> model. This research refers to The Classroom Action Research with subject were 34 students from class X-2 of SMA negeri 3 Surakarta 2010/2022 academic year. The sources of data consist of information from teacher and student, places and events that happened during teaching and learning process, and also some documents. The data of research is collected by using observation sheet, test, questionnaire, interview, and documents. The data is analyzed in qualitative descriptive method. The validity of data is verified through triangulation technique of data collecting method. The result of this research shows that there has been increment percentage of the questionnaire and observation result in every aspect which includes involvement, team work, and responsibility aspects. The result of this research shows that there has been increment percentage of science prosess skill aspect mastery level from 57,03% on presequence become 74,85% on first sequence and 79,89% on second sequence. If it considerate from science process skill indicator, it has been increament percentage of science process skill indicator mastery level too from 56,59% on presequence become 74,08% on first sequence, and 79,88% on the second sequence. The reflection of the first sequence shows that students having low of responsibility in achieving the learning goal, so the researcher gave further treatment in sequence II. It can be concluded from the research that Learning Cycle application can improve science process skill of class X-2 student of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta 2010/2011 academic year.</p><p align="center"> </p><p class="0jTULISANKATAKUNCIKEYWORDS">Key Words: learning cycle model, science process skill</p>
