One of the obligated English materials studied by all students of Indonesian universities is speaking English because English is one of the international languages used to communicate in the world. Moreover, many work fields offered from abroad to Indonesian scholars obligate them to speak English well. Having capability to speak English well is not an easy task. There are some factors influencing the ability of speaking. One of the factors is creativity. Therefore, this research is concerned on investigating the influence of students’ creativity to create sentences toward their speaking skill. This article only discusses one of the three objectives of this quasi experimental research. It is whether or not the students having high creativity have high speaking skill. The data of this research consisted of the scores of creativity test and speaking test. The data of speaking scores were categorized into two, scores of the students having high and low creativity. After those data were normal and homogeneous, then, analyzed using F-test ANOVA. The difference between rows is significant because Fo between rows (1125.64) is higher than Ft (4.11) at the level of significance α= 0.05. The mean score of B1 (78.9) is higher than that of B2 (60.85), it can be said that the speaking skill of students having high creativity is higher than those having low creativity. Thus, it can be concluded that students’ creativity influences their speaking skill. Keywords: Influence; Students’ Creativity; Speaking Skill

The objective of this research was to find out whether the use of describing picture activity effective or not to improve the students speaking skill at the SMAN 1 Soe Kabupaten Timur Tengah Selatan (TTS). This research employed pre experimental design. The population of this research was the students of SMAN 1 Soe Kabupaten Timur Tengah Selatan (TTS) The sample of the class was 20 students. The research data was collected by using speaking test to get the students speaking achievement, which was analyzed by inferential statistic through SPSS version 20.0 for windows program. The students result of posttest of pre experimental class is significantly improved than the students result of pretest by the mean score 68.00 > 50.10. The difference of both scores is statistically significant based on the t-test value at significant level 0.05 in which the probability value is lower than the significant level (0.00 < 0.05). So, H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. It can be concluded that the use of describing picture effective to improve the students speaking skill. .

This research focused on the application of short movies as a media in improving speaking ability at eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The researcher applied quasi experimental research design which involved two classes of students, they were experimental class and control class. The instruments of data collection were pretest and posttest. The pretest was used to measure prior knowledge of the students and the posttest was used to measure the development of the students’ knowledge after the treatment. The t-test was analyzed to compare the mean scores of both classes. There is a significant difference score of the experimental class (1940) and the control class (1490). The level of significance was set up at 0.05 with 58 degree of freedom (df=29+31-2=58). The result of data analysis indicates that tcounted(6.84) is higher than ttable (2.002). It means that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the use of short movies can improve students’ speaking ability at eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Palu.

This study was carried out to determine the modern office technology competencies expected of office technology and management (OTM) graduate workers by supervisors in Delta State. The study was guided by two research questions and two hypotheses tested at 0.05 level of significance. The respondents consisted of 142 supervisors, made up of 74 heads of department and directors of government establishments, and 68 managers and directors of private establishments in the study area. Descriptive survey research design was used to conduct the study and 28 – items questionnaire were used to collect data from respondents. The instrument was validated by three experts and had a Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.77. Means with standard deviations were used to answer the research questions, while t-test was used to test the null hypotheses. The extent of supervisor‟s expectations of information processing competencies did not differ significantly based on the mean ratings of male and female supervisors of OTM graduates in government and private establishments. The findings also revealed that supervisors expect much information processing and communication competencies from the OTM graduate workers. Based on the findings and the implications, it was recommended among others that, curriculum planners, business and OTM education lecturers should ensure that the competencies required for modern office technologies are entrenched and taught in the institutions to prepare the OTM graduates for the world of work.

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the cooperative learning model type student team's achievement division has on basketball shoot lay-up skills. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. The type of research design used was the non-equivalent group design. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Majalengka in 2019 totaling 424 students. The sampling technique used in this study was cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 214 students consisting of class XI IPS 1-4 and XI MIPA 7-8. The experimental group class XI IPS 1-2 and XI MIPA, control group class XI IPS 3-4 and XI MIPA 8. The results showed that the mean pre-test lay-up shoot of the experimental group was 4.09 while the control group was 3.92. The mean post-test shoot lay-up of the experimental group was 6.76 while the control group was 4.72. Furthermore, by looking at 95% confidence interval of the difference, there is a difference between the shoot lay-up results of the experimental group and the control group, which is -0.190 to 2.412. Thus, it can be concluded that STAD is effective in improving basketball shoot lay-up skills.

Based Learning (PBL) Berbasis Lingkungan ABSTRACT The study aimed at finding out the difference of implementation of problem based learning model with environmental basis towards the achievement of class XAP students on the subjects of sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety at SMK Pariwisata Triatma Jaya Singaraja on the academic year 2018/2019.
