This study is aimed at providing an overview of cultural reality of Khanuri la’ot discourse, a traditional fishing ritual activity in Aceh Province. The objectives of this study are: to describe the cultural norms and values configuration from an ethno-pragmatic perspective. This study presents the role of cultural script in the analysis of norms and values in cultural discourse on natural semantic meta-language theory. It is considering that cultural norms and values constituted rules and regulation in social communication interaction practices. In conducting the research, this study followed qualitative method with its phenomenology approach in which data were obtained from observation in a khanuri la’ot ritual, and in depth interview with the respondents from Acehnese fishing community. The result of this study showed that there are some cultural norms and values found on the ritual in the community. They are: (1) politeness, (2) asserting hope, (3) respect, (4) family atmosphere, and (5) giving advice. The configuration of these cultural norms and values was in accordance with the understanding of knowledge and wisdom in terms of khanuri la’ot ritual system. The configuration is constructed in low level scripts with the component of lexicons in semantic primes.

The aim of this study is to explain the role of remuneration in improving the performance of library employees. This study uses the qualitative method which the population is all employees numbering 17 people. Based on interactive analysis methods and ethnographic techniques, its took In-depth interview and observations. Using this analysis, the result showed that the remuneration has an important role in improving employees performance. Some internal and external factors influence it so that optimal performance is obtained. Generally, employees expect that the remuneration has been high to be accepted like as expected. Most employees demands such remuneration to meet their daily needs. External factors also has a strong role so the employees demand high, but not balanced with high performance.

<p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p><em><strong>Background</strong>: IHP (Integrated health post) is a form of UKBM (Community Resources Based-Health Effort) that is managed and administered from, by for and together with community in health development IHP administration involved many parties such as cadres, health staff and village head. Rawasari Primary</em><br /><em>Health Care had the lowest coverage level of D/S (33.2%), while Olak Kemang Primary Health Care had the highest D/S coverage (81.98%).</em></p><p><em><strong>Objectives</strong>: To study thoroughly the role of village head, health staff, and cadres in increasing the participation of underfive’s mothers to visit IHP.</em></p><p><em><strong>Methods</strong>: This was descriptive study used qualitative method by phonological approach. Informants were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection was performed by 2 methods, in-depth interview to 16 informants and focus group discussion (FGD) to 28 informants. Data validity was performed by source</em><br /><em>and method of triangulation.</em></p><p><em><strong>Results</strong>: Village head, nutrition staffs, health cadres, PKK woman and community figures from the highest D/S coverage area took a role in increasing participation of the mother of underfive, but they who were from the lowest D/S coverage did not. They contributed in different way in increasing their participation. Head villages gave the motivation and direction, nutrition staffs attended the IHP, cadres took a role by arrange arisan and ballon provision, and PKK’S woman delegated their member to attend IHP monthly (highest D/S) but they whom from the lowest D/S coverage area did not.</em></p><p><em><strong>Conclusion</strong>: Village head, nutrition staffs, health cadres, PKK woman, and community figures in highest D/S coverage area took a role in increasing participation of underfive’s mothers to visit IHP, but they who where from the lowest D/S coverage did not. Terselenggaranya posyandu melibatkan banyak pihak di antaranya kader, petugas kesehatan dan Lurah. Puskesmas Rawasari dengan tingkat cakupan D/S terendah yaitu 33,2%, dan Puskesmas Olak Kemang dengan cakupan D/S tertinggi yaitu 81,98%.</em></p><p><em><strong>Tujuan</strong>: Mengkaji secara mendalam peran lurah, petugas kesehatan, dan kader dalam meningkatkan partisipasi ibu balita ke posyandu. </em></p><p><em><strong>Metode</strong>: Penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Informan dipilih secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan 2 metode, wawancara mendalam terhadap 16 orang informan dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (DKT) terhadap 28 orang informan. Keabsahan data dengan melakukan triangulasi sumber dan metode.</em></p><p><em><strong>Hasil</strong>: Lurah, petugas gizi, kader, ibu PKK, dan tokoh masyarakat dari wilayah cakupan D/S tertinggi berperan dalam meningkatkan partisipasi ibu balita namun di wilayah D/S terendah tidak. Masing-masing berkontiribusi dengan cara yang berbeda misalnya lurah memberikan motivasi dan arahan, petugas gizi datang ke posyandu, kader membuat arisan dan membagikan balon saat posyandu, dan ibu PKK mendelegasikan salah satu anggota untuk datang ke posyandu setiap bulan (D/S tertinggi). Sementara kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut tidak dilakukan di wilayah D/S terendah.</em></p><p><em><strong>Kesimpulan</strong>: Lurah, petugas gizi, kader, ibu PKK dan tokoh masyarakat (D/S terendah) tidak berperan dan lurah, petugas gizi, kader, ibu PKK dan tokoh masyarakat (D/S tertinggi) berperan. Selain sebagai ibu rumah tangga, biasanya perempuan memiliki peran sebagai pekerja. Tekanan ekonomi dan pendapatan yang tidak mencukupi merupakan alasan yang membuat perempuan memutuskan bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pekerja perempuan dalam meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga migran di Kota Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam (in- depth interview). Sumber data yang digunakan adalah informan yang berjumlah dua belas orang yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Peneliti menggunakan tahap credibility, transferability, dependability, dan confirmability untuk menguji keabsahan data, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan tahap reduction, display, dan conclusion. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pekerja perempuan berperan dalam meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga migran, seperti membantu memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari, menambah penghasilan, menambahan modal usaha dan investasi, tabungan serta biaya kesehatan dan biaya pendidikan.Aside from being housewives, women usually have a role as workers. Economic pressure and an inadequate income are the reasons why women decide to work. The present study aims to analyze the role of female workers in increasing the income of migrant families in Palembang City. The research method used in the present study was a qualitative method by collecting data through in-depth interviews. The sources of data were twelve informants selected by using a purposive sampling. To test the validity of data, the researchers used credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability, while data analysis used stages of reduction, display, and conclution. The present study reveals that female workers played an important role in increasing the income of migrant families, such as helping to meet the daily living needs, increasing the income, the business capital and investment, savings, as well as medical expenses and education costs.

Abstract Conservation efforts are shaped by individual and collective human behaviors, cultural norms and values, economic pressures, and political and organizational structures. As such, the conservation social sciences—disciplines that draw on social science theories and approaches to improve conservation efforts—can play a vital role in advancing the science and practice of bird conservation. We connect the rich, ongoing discussion about the vital role of the conservation social sciences to the specific context of bird conservation and make an argument for the importance of proactive inclusion of these sciences in ornithological societies. First, we introduce the conservation social sciences and illustrate how they can improve the design and implementation of conservation programs and policies for birds. Drawing on discussions from a symposium we organized at the 2019 American Ornithological Society (AOS) annual meeting, we encourage the AOS to make institutional changes that could further support the inclusion of conservation social sciences. These changes ideally would include a working group, conference plenaries and themes, and high-quality social science publications, along with support and encouragement for ornithologists and bird conservationists to partake in trainings and collaborate with social scientists. Strategies for how to do so effectively can be adapted from other conservation societies that have paved the way for disciplinary inclusivity.

This research studied the understanding of legislative members for their function in spreading The religious values of Pancasila at Regional House of Representatives Ponorogo, East Java. By conducting qualitative method, the writer analyzes the implementation of the function and the role of the legislative member as a medium of propaganda, both of chairman of parliament and the members. The data were collected in-depth interview, documentation, and observation. In determining of the data, the writer uses the inspection techniques; credibility, transferability, and dependability for confirming its validity. Then, the data have been analyzed in phases and interconnected between data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The study concluded that the legislators understand their function is parallel to their religious values in amar ma’ruf nahi munkar for realizing the values of Pancasila, the aims of democracy, in order to achieve prosperous society, mutual cooperation, mutual respect and managing the diversity of religion, race, and ethnicity in the frame of Bhineka Tunggal Ika.

Latar Belakang : Kelas ibu hamil adalah sarana belajar bersama tentang kesehatan bagi ibu hamil difasilitasi oleh bidan atau tenaga kesehatan. Hasil survey awal kepada bidan koordinator ruang KIA, kegiatan kelas ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kedungmundu belum berjalan dengan maksimal, data dari poli KIA tahun 2015 tercatat 2449 ibu hamil, yang mengikuti kegiatan kelas ibu hamil sebanyak 70 ibu atau (3,498%). Keberhasilan program kelas ibu hamil sangat bergantung pada dukungan peran serta masyarakat atau kader kesehatan. Tujuan : Mengeksplorasi peran kader kesehatan dalam mensukseskan program kelas ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kedungmundu. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini dengan metode kualitatif, pendekatan deskriptif fenomenologi, teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam, partisipan 3 kader kesehatan, pada tanggal 21–28 April 2016. Hasil : Peran kader kesehatan dalam persiapan kelas ibu hamil sudah baik, meliputi koordinasi dengan fasilitator yaitu bidan, melakukan penjaringan peserta, memotifasi ibu-ibu  hamil untuk hadir dalam kelas ibu hamil, serta mempersiapkan tempat dan alat. Peran kader kesehatan dalam pelaksanaan  kelas ibu hamil sudah baik, yaitu mendampingi ibu hamil selama kegiatan, melakukan pencatatan dalam daftar hadir, evaluasi setelah kegiatan, dan melaporkan kepada fasilitator yaitu bidan. Kendala dan hambatan pelaksanaan kelas ibu hamil adalah ibu hamil tidak bisa datang sesuai jadwal yang sudah ditentukan, karena sebagian ibu hamil bekerja. Penyelesaian kendala atau hambatannya yaitu me-reschedule jadwal kegiatan, dengan berkoordinasi antara bidan pelaksana, kader, dan gasurkes. Saran : Kader kesehatan hendaknya melakukan pendekatan kepada ibu-bu hamil di wilayahnya, guna mendiskusikan kapan waktu bisa mengikuti kegiatan kelas ibu hamil, untuk selanjutnya dikoordinasikan kepada tim fasilitator. Kata Kunci: Peran kader kesehatan; kelas ibu hamil HEALTH CADRE ROLE IN THE SUCCESS OF CLASS PROGRAM OF PREGNANT WOMEN IN THE WORKING AREA OF PRIMER HEALTH CARE KEDUNGMUNDU IN 2016 AbstractBackground : Class of pregnant women is a means to learn together about the health of pregnant womens is facilitated by midwives or health professionals. The result of the initial survey with the coordinator of midwives in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) room, the class of pregnant women in the work area of the Primary Healt Care (PHC) in Kedungmundu has not gone up. The data from poly MCH on 2015 recorded 2449 pregnant women, who participated in class is 70 pregnant women or (3.498%). The success of this program depends on the support of the cadres. Purpose : The purpose of this research was to explore the role of. For the success of the program’s in PHC Kedungmundu. Method of The Research : This research a qualitative method, fenomenologi descriptive,  the techniques for collecting data in depth interview,s participant 3 cadres on, 21-28 April 2016. Result : The role of health cadres in preparation for the class of pregrant women has been good, such as coordination with the midwife, collecting the respondents, motivating the pregnant womens to attend the class, and preparing place and tools. The role of health cadres in the class of pregnant has been good such as assisting the pregnant women during activites. Keep records on the attendance list, evaluating after activities, and reported to the midwife, the obstacles and barriers in the class of pregnant women were pregnant women can not come accordance with a fixed schedule, because most pregnant women who are working. the completion of obstacles or barriers, is re-schedule and coordinating between midwifery, carders and gasurkes. Suggestion : Health cadres should approach with pregnant womens in the region to discuss the time when the pregnant women can participant in class, and then cordineting with the facilitator team.  Key words: The Role of Health Cadre;, Class Of Pregnant Women

This article analyzes the phenomenon of dolls in the process of transition from the traditional type of society to the postindustrial one. The authors outline that being a kind of mirror of the era, the doll phenomenon is inextricably linked with cultural norms and values, all social experience, which determined the stability and continuity of various activities. It is also noted that in the process of historical development, the image of the doll undergoes transformation, as does the image of the person himself. The inclusion by the authors the axiological characteristics of the doll phenomenon in the worldview coordinates of cosmo- and anthropocentrism makes it possible to reveal their new quality. The consideration of the doll as a phenomenon from this methodological position opens up new possibilities in understanding the existential essence of man himself. The purpose of the article is to analyze one of the most relevant aspects of the doll phenomenon in modern conditions – a qualitative change in its axiological content and significance in culture. Research methods: historical-comparative and semiotic. The result of the study is the identification of significant changes in the role of dolls in modern culture. It is emphasized that the value orientations of secular society and a desacralized, materialistic worldview result in dehumanization and objectification of the person himself with a pronounced desire to revitalize and humanize the doll. The development of anthropocentric attitudes has reached its limits, as evidenced by the shift in the semantics of dolls into the field of purely formal, external relations and meanings.

The purpose of the study is to picture the role of school principal’s organizational management in implementing organizational communication and reward done in Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu Junior High School. The research also enpicture how school’s management could lead to beneficial effect, including the implementation of Islamic value. The method used in this research is qualitative method with in-depth interview, documentation, and observation as the instruments. The research was analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and verification. (1) The research showed that interpersonal communication is the main pilar in building the communication, those are supported with the use of communication technology and social networking efficiently and effectively. (2) The reward given to members of Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu are in form of intrinsic and extrinsic. (3) Despite the school’s status as a non-Islamic private school, but the school able to implement the Islamic value both for school’s members and activities. It also lead to some achievement in Islamic field.

Cultural communication has obliquely shapes society relationships with another for the sake of togetherness prosperity. Diversity of norms and values from cultural symbols are able to be transferred as connecting elements in order to create interaction that is based on mutual comprehension of cultural norms. This study objective is to comprehend Bawean ethnic's cultural communication symbol. Employing qualitative methods, social construction paradigm is perceived through in-depth interview. This methodology adapted to realize the meaning of cultural communication between Bawaean and the other Malay sub-ethnicity. There are one main informant and ten other informant whom have been interviewed face-to-face. The result has shown that Bawean ethnic's cultural communication symbol such as language, cuisine, martial arts and religious rituals are the main elements in Bawean ethnic's cultural communication. In conclusion, cultural communication between Bawean ethnic and other ethnic has taken place according to the situations as either inside or outside  the group. Cultural similarities has facilitate cultural communication tranquility. It creates social integration with relation to the ethnic relationship processes such as acculturation, accommodation and integration.

This paper has a purpose to explain the weaving tradition of Bugis Pagatan community which still carried out tomaintain their identity. The focus of this study is Pagatan Weaving craftswomen in Tanah Bumbu Regency as part ofBugis Pagatan community and known for their unique cultural traditions in South Kalimantan.It is interesting toexplore the influence of global culture to the weaving tradition values and strategies carried out by the craftswomenso their products can be accepted by the wide length of society.The external role of local government is alsoexplained in strengthening the Bugis Pagatan cultural identity in Tanah Bumbu Regency.This research useddescriptive qualitative method which data were collected by observation, in-depth interview, and documentation.The informants are Pagatan Weaving craftswomen in Pagatan, South Borneo. The results show that 1) Pagatanweaving is a result of negotiate by Pagatan’s culture and tradition also global culture. Negotiate strategy was doneby Pagatan Weaving craftswomen for its quality can fulfill international standart. 2) Government of KabupatenTanah Bumbu have a role in affirmation of Bugis Pagatan culture’s identity
