The paper investigated the association between emotional intelligence and work motivation among employees of organisations to determine whether emotional intelligence differences exist in work motivation, and to assess the nature of the association between emotional intelligence and work motivation. A sample of 140 respondents was selected through the convenience sample method for the primary data collection. A set of questionnaires developed by the researcher was used to collect data from the respondents. Data collected were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics, and presented in Tables. The results indicate respondents are emotionally intelligent and are also motivated. The research findings also indicate emotional intelligence differences exist in work motivation. It is recommended that improvement in skills in the emotional intelligence of employees will contribute positively to work motivational levels, and organisation’s productivity, and growth. Organisations should, therefore, thrive to identify factors that improve the work motivation of employees.

The purpose of this researchment is to ascertain how wide the farming of species Saccharun Edule Hasskarl (terubuk) in sub district Tosa, district of East Tidore of Tidore Island through the indicator of the value revenue, production and selling prices so that the farmers will achieve The Break Event Point (BEP). The research method was used a quantitative method with the number of samples of 30 people. The determination of the sample method is using the census method or involving all members of the population into a sample of researchment. The secondary data collection was done by using library literature in the form of document review and relevant references to research object while primary data collection was done by using questionnaire. The data is using equation R /C Ratio, BEP Revenue, BEP Price, and BEP Production. Therefore from the results of the researchment it can be explained that the two of the thirty farmers come through the break event point, while the other twenty-eight farmers declared having a business that worth to be develop or experiencing profit, because the R/C ratio is above 1.0 with average profit reach Rp. 989.000, - per production / farmer.

The dynamic nature of business operating environment has called on business leaders to be strategic in their leadership roles if they are to sustain their competitiveness into the unforeseen future. Growth is important in Sacco’s because it is future oriented establishing ways in which the organizational operations can be aligned to future changes in the business environment to ensure that competitiveness is sustained. The SACCOs in Kenya have experienced problems in the past; some even shutting down therefore there is need for customer growth to be enhanced so as to increase their incomes so as to sustain the business. These SACCOs have to look for leaders and managers who can develop future targets, direct and lead other staffs towards meeting the firm’s objective and gaining a competitive edge. The aim of this study was an assessment of corporate growth strategies and performance in savings and cooperative societies in Kenya, Nairobi County. The study sought to determine the influence of market expansion, diversification strategies and acquisition strategies. The study target population was 41 licensed SACCOs in Nairobi County. The study used primary data to collect information, and the data collection instrument was a questionnaire which was given to the 41 operations managers in the 41 selected SACCOs. The data collection procedure was done by the researcher and drop-and-pick strategy will be applied. The data was coded and keyed in Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS Version 23.0), and was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. For descriptive statistics was through mean scores, standard deviations, frequencies and percentages, while the inferential statistics was through regression analysis to establish the relationship between strategic leadership and customer growth. The findings were presented in tables and charts for easy understanding, interpreting, and describing the data. The study established that market expansion, diversification strategies and acquisition strategies as corporate growth strategies had a positive and significant effect on the performance of SACCOs in Nairobi City County. The study concluded that the SACCOs significantly employed market expansion strategies through improved branch network, customer base enhancement, new distribution channels and technological innovation. The study concluded that the SACCOs embraced a hybrid of the main diversification strategies, diverse products and services significantly. It was concluded that to a little extent the selected SACCOs in Nairobi City County have employed acquisition as a corporate growth strategy. The study recommends that the SACCOs should embrace integrate technology in the implementation of corporate growth strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.  Further studies should be undertaken to establish the effect of corporate growth strategies on the performance of other SACCOs in other regions to establish the disparities or similarities among the financial sector players.

The work addresses the problems in the field of organizational behavioral science and explores the emotional intelligence and spiritual leadership. The aim of this study is to understand the essence of emotional intelligence and spiritual leadership and their impact on organizational success, employee behavior, labor productivity, employees’ jobs performance. The epistemological view of this study is subjective interpretivism and ontology, as the views, experiences, and behaviors of the participant in contextual social events are gathered to evaluate the results and draw conclusions. The research strategy is a case study, stratified sampling will be used for the data collection phase. The primary data are obtained from the qualitative data collection techniques such as the semi-structured interviews, observation and MSCEIT test. Additionally, there is highlighted how the role of emotional stability, social skills and general mental capabilities play in employees’ job performance as compared to IQ. This will emphasize the relationship between the emotional intelligence and job performance within different business sectors. Moreover, spiritual leadership is not something usually managers tend to utilize within their practice. This study will emphasize the importance of spiritual leadership mixed with high levels of emotional intelligence. Based on the findings, this research will suggest a new strategy for creating policies that will set employees on a path to reach their full potential in the organization. Finally, the findings are supposed to shed a light on the effect of emotional intelligence and leadership’s ability to increase overall productivity despite a person’s IQ and academic capabilities. Main hazard for the coal mining workers is chemical dust that will cause declining of lung function with chronic exposure. PT. X experienced elevated trend of decline lung function of its worker within the past three years (2013–2015 i.e., 15.8%, 18.3%, and 21.9%). November 2015, PT. X stipulated new policy to its field workers that oblige them to use PPE mask of N series type 8211. Using cross sectional design with 300 people chosen by convinient sampling; primary data collection was conducted via interview and filling questionnaire, and secondary data collection was compiled from PT. X’s MCU reports of 2015 and 2016 and HRD-HSE monthly reports. As much as 82% of workers are comply to use PPE. There are statistically significant relation between work motivation (p 0.02, ORa 4.80, 95% CI 1.22; 18.86), PPE knowledge (p < 0.01, ORa 353.77, 95% CI 59.93; 2088.25), PPE comfortability (p < 0.01, ORa 61.64, 95% CI 5.99; 634.13), reward/punishment (p < 0.01), and supervision (p < 0.01, ORa 0.08, 95% CI 0.01; 0.43) with workers’ compliance of PPE mask of N series type 8211. There are three people experienced declining of lung function within a year. PT. X was advised to continue its policy.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Competence and  Organizational Trust on Employee Performance BLUD UPTD Inpatient Health Center Unit of Kebumen District Through Work Motivation. Data collection is done by questionnaire using saturated sample method. Respondents in this study were Non Civil Servants BLUD Employees in 8 Inpatient Health Centers who had worked over 1 year totaling 74 people.  The variables in this study are Competence, Organizational Trust in Performance through Work Motivation. The sampling technique used is the Non Probability Sampling technique. So the selection of sample members taking into account the conditions that have been set.  The data used in this study are primary data and secondary  data. The results of this study indicate that the Competency variable has a positive and significant effect on Work Motivation. Organizational Trust has a positive and significant effect on  Work Motivation. Competence has a positive and not significanteffect on Performance. Organizational Trust has a positive and significant effect on Performance. Work Motivation has a positive and significant effect  on Performance.

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style on employee performance with work motivation as an intervening variable in the Indonesian Export Financing Institution at the Makassar Regional Office. The population of this study were all employees of the Indonesian Export Financing Institution. The number of samples taken in this study were 50 respondents. The sampling method used in this study is the probability sampling method. Data collection in this study is to use archive strategies namely primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed using multicollinearity and Path Analysis. The results of this study indicate that leadership style has a significant effect on work motivation. Leadership style also has a significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation significantly influences employee performance. Leadership style has a significant effect on employee performance through work motivation.

This study aims to analyze how competence, compensation and work motivation jointly affect the performance of KPU employees in Banyuasin Regency. The General Election of Banyuasin Regency used quantitative methods, using a saturated sampling sample in the study of 20 employees. In this study, the types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. Hypothesis testing through t test and F test using SPSS analysis tools. The results of data processing using SPSS 20, using the t test that t counts 4,330> t table 2.003 There is an influence of competence on performance; that t count 4.181> t table 2.003 positive and significant effect of compensation on performance; t count 4.469> t table 2.003 there is a positive and significant influence of motivation on performance; and F count 34.356> F table 4.883 and a significance level of 0.00 <0.05, that there is a positive and significant effect on the competency, compensation and motivation patterns together on performance, with a determination coefficient of 77.5%, the rest is influenced by other variables. The conclusion of the research is that competence, compensation and motivation have a positive and significant effect on performance either partially or simultaneously. Strategies to improve employee performance at the KPU Banyuasin Regency can be done by first increasing employee motivation to increase broad knowledge of knowledge in supporting work implementation, then increase. competence to be consistent in having a good attitude with colleagues.

This study was carried out with the view to address two fundamental issues: first, to determine if there is any association between budget, budgetary control and performance evaluation; second, to ascertain if there is any significant variation in the budget, budgetary control and performance evaluation measures of hospitality firms in Nigeria. The study employed descriptive design and primary data (questionnaire) was the major source of data collection. Questionnaire was administered to a total of six hundred (600) employees of ten (10) selected hospitality firms in Nigeria. The data obtained were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings indicated that budget and budgetary control could serve as an avenue through which hospitality firms in Nigeria can be evaluated. In addition, it was revealed that there is a significant variation in the budget, budgetary control and performance evaluation of hospitality firms in Nigeria. On the basis of the findings, it was recommended that hospitality firms in Nigeria should carry out performance evaluation on every aspect of their budget and budgetary activities as a way of ensuring that budgeted outcomes are met. This study aims to determine the role of mediating work motivation on the effect of compensation on employee morale. This research was conducted at UDAKA Dawan BUMDes. The number of samples used is 37 employees, with a saturated sample method where all population numbers are sampled. Data collection is obtained from questionnaires. Data analysis used in this study is path analysis and sobel test. The results of this study found that compensation has a positive effect on morale, compensation has a positive effect on work motivation, work motivation has a positive effect on morale, and the role of work motivation has a positive effect in mediating the effect of compensation on morale. The management of UDAKA BUMDes Dawan should pay more attention to the division of labor for employees, the convenience of employees in work, and the provision of salaries that are appropriate to the performance of employees with the aim of increasing employee morale. Human resources is one of the most important factors to achieve the goals of a company. Employee productivity is the ability of employees to complete a job effectively and efficiently. Employee productivity can be influenced by several factors, namely compensation, work discipline, and work motivation. This study was conducted to examine the significance of the effect of compensation, work discipline, and work motivation on employee productivity at Jimbaran Bay Seafood Café Kedonganan - Bali. 55 samples were used, with the saturated sample method. Data collection through interviews and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The analysis showed that compensation, work discipline, and work motivation partially had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity. Theoretically this study also provides an understanding that compensation, work discipline and work motivation can significantly increase employee productivity, by increasing compensation, work discipline and work motivation, employee productivity will increase.
