Achievement test is of very important assessment tool to evaluate the student’s current level of knowledge and skill acquired from classroom instruction. This test is designed to evaluate the student’s level of achievement in a particular subject for a particular class prescribed under the board or the university. In other words, to assess how much the pupils have achieved the educational objectives in teaching learning process at the end of the course and if achieved then to what extent, it has been achieved. Achievement tests are proved to be very helpful in various ways to the people who are involved in the field of education such as the teachers, the administrators, the planners, to the parents as well as for the students. The teacher very carefully develops and conduct achievement test in the class which enable the teacher to get an overall idea of the progress or the level of achievement of his students in the subject area. The teacher can determine the pupil’s strength and weakness in the subject area. So, based on this the teacher can take necessary remedial instructional strategies for the betterment of the pupil’s progress. In the same time, it also provides feedback for the teaching efficiency of the teacher. As with the time changes there have been many educational reforms taken place and in between syllabus had also been changed under different Boards of Studies. The paper deals with issues connected with the motivation of high school students to participate in activities aimed at professional creative activity and, in this context, issues of environmental influences, especially from school and the family. It is responding to some of the growing efforts of neoliberalism to over individualize creative expression and activities and completely ignore social influences. It also takes into account the cultural legacy of past generations and the sources of creative power that have taken root in society and from which individuals draw and process their inspiration. Presented within are the results of an empirical probe focused on the influence of the social environment on the creative activity of teenagers. The paper follows the relations to the existing body of knowledge on the relationship between social environment and creativity, with an effort to capture the social conditionality of creative performances—to capture their roots. The results of the probe have confirmed the initial hypothesis that the creative efforts of secondary school students taking part in vocational training is based on the social background of the family and school. However, the family influence on the students’ creativity is not as significant as one would expect. It is the indirect effect of the family environment that has a larger influence.

Academic resilience is a student’s ability to achieve academic results significantly higher than would be expected according to their socioeconomic level. In this study, we aimed to identify the characteristics of students, families, and teacher activities which had the greatest impact on academic resilience. The sample comprised 117,539 fourth grade students and 6,222 teachers from 4,324 schools in member states of the European Union that participated in the PIRLS 2016 study. We specified a two-level hierarchical linear model in two phases: in the first level we used the students’ personal and family background variables, in the second level we used the variables related to teaching activity. In the first phase we used the complete model for all countries and regions, in the second phase we produced a model for each country with the highest possible number of statistically significant variables. The results indicated that the students’ personal and family variables that best predicted resilience were the reading self-confidence index, which increased the probability of student resilience by between 62 and 130 percentage points, a feeling of belonging to the school, which increased the chances of being resilient by up to 40 percentage points, and support from the family before starting primary school (Students from Lithuania who had done early literary activities in the family setting were twice as likely to be resilient than those who had not). The teaching-related factors best predicting resilience were keeping order in the classroom, a safe and orderly school environment (increasing chances of resilience by up to 62 percentage points), and teaching focused on comprehension and reflection, which could increase the probability of resilience by up to 61 percentage points.

Background: Stress is a subjective experience that an individual may experience depending on his/ her own personality. Stress occurs when the resources to cope with situational demands and pressures are insufficient. The school environment may be highly competitive for few students than others. Apart from academic factors; there may be various other factors experienced in the school life like; peer pressure, competition with classmates, family problems, social issues etc. This makes the age group more vulnerable towards the impact of stress. Stresses of such nature and magnitude may have many psychological, social and behavioral impacts on these students. It therefore becomes more imperative to study such impacts so that appropriate measures can be taken to avoid and prevent advert actions that may intend on the exposed population. It has been noted that there is a lack of literature on the effect of stress on school students and its impact on their psyche, especially keeping in view the Indian perspective. Aim: To study and analyse the impact of stress on psychological parameters in school going students. Methods: The research method is a descriptive- correlational study. The study sample were school going students. 320 students were included by random purposeful selection who participated in this study. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire to record the demographic data of the subjects. Adjustment inventory for senior secondary scale (AISS) was administered to determine the stress level in the subjects. Based on the outcomes, Perceived stress scale (PSS) was administered to the subjects of mild and moderate category. Results: Paired‘t’ test and ANOVA was used to analyse the data. Conclusion: Positive educational stress (EuStress) helps the students to perform better academically whereas emotional and social factors don’t have any effect on the stress.

Evaluation is an important part of our educational system. Ultimate goal of it is the evaluation of all-round development of students. For this, Summative written examination and Project work play an important role. Summative Evaluation takes place when the teaching-learning process is over. It generally takes place at the end of a terra of year. The purpose of S.E. is to determine whether the pupil has completed a particular course of studies successfully. Summative evaluation typically comes at the end of a course of instruction. It is designed to determine the extent in which the instructional objectives have been achieved and is used primarily for assigning course-grades or certifying pupil mastery of the intended learning outcomes. Projective methods are those method in which we provide the subject relatively indefinite and unstructured material and then allow students to build structure of the material in anyway according to the subject project, his feelings, attitude etc. Project Work is a learning experience which aims to provide students the opportunity to synthesise knowledge from various areas of learning and it critically and creatively applies to real life situations.

The transition to school is a time of change and expectation for children, fami-lies, and communities. It is also a time when a range of factors—both within and outside the family—influence educational experiences and outcomes. This paper reports the experiences and expectations of 24 Australian families as their children with special needs started school. Life for these families was complicated by their experiences of other factors described as complex sup-port needs. Drawing on interview and case study data, we report issues and concerns, and examine the supports available for these families and their chil-dren across the transition to school. In analysing the data, we consider the ways in which children’s special needs interact with the complex support needs of families, and consider implications of this interaction as families navigate access to support. We conclude that this interplay positions many families in ways that reinforce, rather than reduce, the difficulties encountered.

In healthy societies, physical education and sport activities carry important roles in raising individuals. Previous scientific researches point out that physical activity is very important in the development process of the children. Therefore, children need to be supported in joining planned and systematic physical education and sport activities in both family and school life, beginning at very young ages. Every possibility should be offered to the children for performing sport activities healthily in the habitat while also taking precautions. The purpose of the study is to identify the expectations of the middle-school students and the problems they encounter when attending sport activities in their family and school lives. The data was collected through a survey developed by the researchers. A descriptive method with the aim of revealing the current situation was used in the study. The population of this study consisted of 2500 students, studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades of the middle-school. Two middle schools from the schools within the Sakarya province were selected through a random selection method. The survey was applied to a total amount of 400 volunteer students that were selected as the sample group and studied in these schools. The SPSS 15.0 for Windows software was used for the data analysis. Frequency analysis was used in order to determine the quantity and percentage distributions of the demographic information of the participants. On the other hand, chi-square analysis was used for the comparison of the problems and expectations related to family and school life in regards to the demographic variables. The level of significance in the chi-square analysis was specified as p<0,05.As a result of the study, in relation to the family and school life, the male students were found to have more problems and expectations regarding the participation in physical education and sport activities, when compared to female students. In addition to this, the students who participated in physical education and sport activities regularly seemed to have bigger expectations and more problems with their families. The problems and expectations of participating students regarding the family and school life were identified and suggestions for possible solutions were presented. The study is hoped to be beneficial for the field.
