The process of transmitting Islamic values to the younger generation remains an appealing study as Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world. Unfortunately, previous studies on this topic focused more on the process of transmitting these values through formal and informal religious based educational institutions. This research took a unique position to study the Islamic values transmission within non-religious based public school. This qualitative research employed the case study approach to examine the process of instilling Islamic values in public schools. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and study of relevant documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the inductive interactive techniques of the Miles and Huberman models. This study showed that 1) the values of iman-taqwa (faith-piety) and akhlaq mulia (good morals) were an important embodiment of affection-based educational programs in schools. 2) These values were instilled by the school through a habituation process, supported by the function of the principal and teachers as role models and the important role of Rohis (Islamic organization). The inculcation of Islamic values was not only carried out by religious education teachers, but also transmitted by secular subject teachers as well as extracurricular activities. The findings of this study confirmed that public schools in Indonesia were now transformed as important instruments for the transmission of Islamic values to young Muslims. This research suggests important recommendations on the need to develop the capacity of teachers in schools to make them agents of moderation of Islamic values.

Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk menelaah sejauh mana peran pemimpin dan penerapan kepemimpinan Islami pada lembaga pendidikan Islam. Lembaga yang berlandaskan Islam haruslah menjadikan Al-Quran dan Hadist sebagai pijakan dasar dalam setiap Manajemen, tak luput juga dalam hal Kepemimpinan, dalam hal ini dipotret melalui sifat-sifat Kenabian, yaitu Sidiq, Amanah, Tabligh dan Fatonah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menujukkan secara garis besar bahwa nilai-nilai Islam sudah diterapkan dan selalu dipertahankan dalam proses kepemimpinan. Nilai kepemimpinan islami seperti siddiq, amanah, tabligh dan fatonah sudah diterapkan pada perannya sebagai pemimpin yaitu sebagai panutan, perintis, penyelaras dan pemberdaya. Kata Kunci: Peran Pemimpin; Kepemimpinan islami; Sifat Kenabian   Abstract This study aims to examine the extent of the Role of Leaders and the Application of Islamic Leadership in Islamic educational institutions. Institutions that are based on Islam must make the Quran and Hadiths as a basic foothold in every management, not least in terms of leadership. In this case it will be portrayed through the attributes of Prophethood, namely Sidiq, Amanah, Tabligh, and Fatonah. The method used is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The results of the study show in broad outline that Islamic values have been applied and are always maintained in the leadership process. The values of Islamic leadership such as siddiq, amanah, tabligh, and fatonah have been applied to their role as leaders, namely as role models, pioneers, harmonizers, and empowerers. This study examined the role of Islamic education in building students’ character within Indonesia public schools.  In conducting the study, we used a qualitative case study method. The case of this study was a state senior high school in Palu city. Data were gathered through direct field observation, in-depth interviews which involve teachers and students. We also analyzed written material, such as the school curriculum, to understand how the character building strategies were integrated in the curriculum.  Iur study found that teachers implement character building strategies through several stages, namely the stages of planning, the stages of learning implementation, and the stages of evaluating Islamic religious education learning. The characters values were embedded in the learning of Islamic religious education.  This included the integration of character values in the school curriculum and they were taught in every day classroom leanings and in extracurricular activities.

Abstrak – Penelitian ini membahas tentang penyelenggaraan pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta (MIS) Az-Zahra, dimana MI sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan Islam yang ada di Indonesia sangat lekat dengan sistem pengajaran dan memuat nilai-nilai ke-Islaman yang begitu kuat untuk ditanamkan menjadi karakter yang baik bagi peserta didik dengan segala kekhasannya. Sehingga kedepannya sekolah-sekolah umum dalam hal ini lembaga pendidikan dasar (SD) dapat mengadaptasi beberapa hal penting dari model pendidikan karakter di madrasah ibtidaiyah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bagaimana landasan filosofis yang mendasari pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di MIS Az-Zahra dan bagaimana proses pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di madrasah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Teknik analisis data dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) landasan filosofis pendidikan karakter di MIS Az-Zahra dituangkan dalam visi dan misi sekolah; 2) Proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan karakter di MIS Az-Zahra melalui empat tahapan yang meliputi: pembiasaan solat berjamaah, pembiasaan tadarrus Qur’an, pembiasaan praktek ibadah, dan kegiatan-kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Abstract –This study discusses the implementation of character education in Islamic Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIS) Az-Zahra, where MI as one of the Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia is very closely related to the teaching system and contains Islamic values ​​that are so strong to be instilled into character which is good for students with all their peculiarities. So that in the future public schools, in this case elementary education institutions (SD), can adapt some important things from the character education model in madrasah ibtidaiyah. The purpose of this study is to describe how the philosophical foundation that underlies the implementation of character education in MIS Az-Zahra and how the process of implementing character education in the madrasa. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research method. Data collected through observation, interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. Data analysis techniques by data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study are 1) the philosophical foundation of character education at MIS Az-Zahra is outlined in the vision and mission of the school; 2) The process of organizing character education in the MIS Az-Zahra through four stages which include: habituation of the prayer, habituation of the Qur'an tadarrus, habituation of religious practices, and extracurricular activities.

The effort to preserve the beauty of the environment is an obligation for every social creature that lives on this earth. These efforts are carried out and planned so that every human being has a caring attitude and responsibility with the surrounding environment. In educational institutions the role of a teacher cannot be separated in the educational process. To realize students as quality resources cannot be separated from the environment. This article intends to explain about environmental education in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 7 Jombang. With a qualitative case study approach, this research was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the discussion from the research show that, in the implementation of their roles and participation in forming and increasing environmental awareness by teachers, students are well implemented. Most of them have a caring attitude to their environment, which is proven by their daily habits, which is to dispose of waste according to the space provided. It's just that for minorities who are still indifferent to the environment, support and encouragement from teachers need to be increased so that all madrasa residents, especially students, have positive behavior, be aware and care about the surrounding environmen

This study aims to determine how the application of religious-based character education at the Senior High School level in the Rohis extracurricular. This research method is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach whose research subject is a group of students who are members of the Rohis extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Mendo Barat which is intended to obtain a clear formulation of the extent of efforts in fostering students' character and religious potential through extracurricular activities Rohis and also in the procedure of conducting this research applied two data collection techniques, namely observation and interview. The results of the study showed that the tendency of students who joined Rohis extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Mendo Barat had good personality and character and had Islamic values, because the students who joined Rohis extracurricular activities had received religious education given and taught according with Al-Quran and Sunnah Rasul. Character education can also be blended to become a unity in religious education. The role of religion in character education can meet human needs in terms of the director and also as a counterweight to the characters of students.

Abstract This paper aims to figure out the government policy in education management, community participation, and accessibility in border area. The qualitative framed theory with case study approach was used as the method of this study. The results showed that government was enacting special policies in national school operational assistance, providing block grant funds, special allowances for teachers and education personnel in border areas. Participation of the community was in the form of building dormitory in mutual assistance; customary heads took the legal role of school land and cultural preservation through extracurricular activities. Implementation of education in the form of nationalism enhancement assisted by the Indonesian National Army, facilities and school infrastructure were still under the national standards, teachers and employees were not disciplined, and supervision had not functioned optimally. When the teacher had given an assignment out of the region sometimes they had to leave their teaching job for up to two weeks late due to difficult.  Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meninjau kebijakan pemerintah dalam manajemen pendidikan, partisipasi masyarakat, dan aksesibilitas di daerah perbatasan. Teori yang dirumuskan secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan sebagai metode penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah memberlakukan kebijakan khusus dalam bantuan operasional sekolah nasional, menyediakan dana hibah blok, tunjangan khusus yang diperuntukan bagi guru dan tenaga kependidikan di daerah perbatasan. Partisipasi masyarakat adalah dalam bentuk membangun asrama dalam bantuan timbal balik; Kepala adat mengambil peran hukum pada ranah sekolah dan pelestarian budaya melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Pengimplementasian pendidikan dalam bentuk peningkatan nasionalisme dibantu oleh Tentara Nasional Indonesia, fasilitas dan infrastruktur sekolah masih di bawah standar nasional, guru dan karyawan yang tidak disiplin, dan pengawasan tidak berfungsi secara optimal. <strong>Abstract: </strong>The Researches of radicalism have been widely studied, but the methods to counteract in school have not yet been found. This study aims to explore the methods of Islamic religious education teachers in counteracting radical understanding of students in learning. This research used a case study approach that was carried out for two years in high school in Pekanbaru which conducting interviews with teachers, principals, and students. This research produced a method which the teacher counteracts radicalism in learning are dissemination of understanding and the dangers of radicalism. The examples of them are tolerance and living in harmony, oversee Islamic spiritual activities, companion to religious activities, instilling moderate Islamic teachings, transmitter of Islâm<em> kâffah</em> teachings and dialogue about similarity in learning. The implication of this research is to develop the theory of “The methods to counter radicalism in schools” in education, by strengthening the methods used by teachers in countering radicalism in learning.<br /><strong> </strong><br /><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Studi radikalisme telah banyak dipelajari, namun metode untuk menangkalnya di sekolah belum ditemukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi metode guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam menangkal pemahaman radikal siswa dalam pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus, penelitian ini dilakukan selama dua tahun di SMA di Pekanbaru, Indonesia, dengan melakukan wawancara dan observasi bersama guru, kepala sekolah, dan siswa. Penelitian ini menghasilkan suatu metode dimana guru menangkal radikalisme dalam pembelajaran di sekolah adalah sosialisasi paham dan bahaya radikalisme, contoh toleransi dan hidup harmonis, mengawasi aktivitas spiritual Islam, pendamping kegiatan keagamaan, menanamkan ajaran Islam moderat, penyampai ajaran Islam <em>kâffah</em>, dan dialog tentang kesamaan dalam pembelajaran. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan teori “metode penanggulangan radikalisme di sekolah” dengan memperkuat metode yang digunakan guru dalam penanggulangan radikalisme dalam pembelajaran.<br /> <br /><strong>Keywords: </strong>radicalism, Islamic religious teacher, teaching method, learning

A good parent-children relationship is an understanding relationship with guidance. Parents have a big influence develop children's abilities in the school environment. The research objective is to determine the role of parents in PAUD Al-Palah Batang Asai Jambi in encouraging children's development. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach, where observation and interview techniques are used. The results showed that the role of parents in the development of PAUD Al-Palah Batang Asai Jambi children in terms of communication is still dominated by parents. The encouragement given was based on the wishes of parents who focus on cognitive children, not the children's needs, and parents tend to generalize the children's ability which naturally different from each other. Involving parents in schools in the form of caring and sharing which has been carried out through mentoring children to practice outside of school, meeting visits, discussion of child development with teachers, and parents as good role models for children. Therefore, the role of parents must be increased through a system of school-parent relationships.   Hubungan orang tua dengan anak yang baik adalah hubungan yang penuh pengertian disertai bimbingan. Orang tua memberikan pengaruh besar untuk mengembangkan kemampuan anak di lingkungan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peranan orang tua di PAUD Al-Palah Batang Asai Jambi dalam mendorong perkembangan anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus sehingga mengunakan teknik pengamatan dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran orang tua pada perkembangan anak PAUD Al-Palah Batang Asai Jambi dalam komunikasi masih didominasi oleh orang tua, dorongan yang diberikan berbasis keinginan orang tua yang terpusat pada kognitif anak bukan child need, dan pemahaman orang tua menyamaratakan kemampuan anak yang secara alamiah berbeda setiap individunya. Pelibatan orang tua di sekolah berbentuk caring dan sharing yang telah dilakukan melalui pendampingan anak praktik di luar sekolah, kunjungan rapat, diskusi perkembangan anak dengan guru, dan orang tua sebagai role model yang baik bagi anak. Maka peran orang tua harus ditingkatkan melalui sistem hubungan kerjasama sekolah dengan orang tua.

Schooling is important for the character preparing of person. There are various kinds of establishments accessible like private and public organizations, specialized foundations, These organizations are having the triangle of three principle columns; comprised of Teachers, Students, and Curriculum. There are two fundamental kinds of schools in Pakistan and everywhere on the world. One is public and other is non-public school framework. Presently a day’s non-public schools are getting more top pick and appealing for lion's share of the understudies because of their better training frameworks, test measures and information creation versus SEF schools, which similarly Free however wasteful are losing their fascination. Guardians want to send their kids in tuition based schools and evade SEF schools. The primary target of this examination is to research why individuals favor high charging tuition based schools to free SEF schools (That charge nothing)? We show that five principle factors arise as significant determinants of non-public school decision. These incorporate the financial status of the family unit, the level of a school's availability, the expense of tutoring, guardians' impression of school quality, and their view of the accessible business openings in the area.
