The factors affecting the resilience levels of the nurses working in a public hospital

This study was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the factors affecting the psychological endurance levels of the nurses. A questionnaire consisting of 21 questions and the Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA) were used for data collection in this study. It is a five-point Likert scale, consisting of 33 items. Percentage calculation, Kruskal–Wallis test and Mann–Whitney U test were used for the assessment of the data. The average score of the nurses in the RSA was determined to be 123.3 ± 21.3. A statistically significant relationship has been found between some of the sociodemographic characteristics of the nurses and their score in the RSA (p < 0.05). As per the results, it has been determined that the nurses who are married, have kids, have bachelor’s degree or higher, love their jobs, satisfied with the department they work at and chose their departments of their own volition, have high levels of resilience.Keywords: Endurance, nurse, resilience

The purpose of this study was to obtain information about student discipline development by teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Tuleh, West Pasaman Regency as seen from 1) student disciplinary guidance by teachers through discipline, 2) student discipline development by teachers through exemplary governance, 3) coaching student discipline by the teacher through guidance, 4) student discipline development by the teacher through punishment, 5) student discipline development by the teacher through supervision.This study was a descriptive study. The total population in this study was 236 people. Samples were taken with Simple Random Samplingtechniquewith 70 people. The data collection tool used is a Likert scale model questionnaire with 5 alternative answers Questionnaires have been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the average formula.The results of the study show that: 1) student discipline development by teachers through discipline is stated to be good with an average score of 3.69, 2) student discipline development by teachers through exemplary governance is stated to be quite good with an average score of 3.52, 3) student disciplinary guidance by the teacher through guidance expressed either with an average score of 3.65, 4) student discipline development by the teacher through punishment expressed both with an average score of 3.75, 5) student discipline development by the teacher through supervision expressed well with an average score 3.75. Overall, Student Discipline Development by Teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Tuleh, West Pasaman Regency is 3, 76 in the good category. This indicates that the discipline of student discipline by teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Tuleh, West Pasaman Regency is good, but it still needs to be maintained and improved again so that it increases in the excellent category.

Objetivo: descrever a experiência vivenciada por pacientes submetidos ao cateterismo cardíaco à luz do Intervencionismo Simbólico. Método: estudo descritivo com abordagem qualitativa. Entrevistas do tipo narrativa foram utilizadas como instrumento de coleta de dados. A amostra foi composta por sete pacientes submetidos ao cateterismo cardíaco de diagnóstico. A análise foi ancorada a partir do Interacionismo Simbólico de Blumer. O trabalho foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética do Hospital Agamenon Magalhães sob o número 01536912.9.0000.5197. Resultados: diante da análise dos depoimentos emergiram as seguintes categorias: o medo como simbologia frente ao cateterismo cardíaco; o coração como símbolo da dualidade entre a vida e a morte; a figura onipotente do médico na decisão sobre a vida do paciente; e expectativas do pós cateterismo. Conclusão: os pacientes que se submetem ao cateterismo enfrentam sentimentos de ansiedade, medo e insegurança, mas também esperança e novas perspectivas para o futuro.ABSTRACTObjective: to describe the experience faced by patients undergoing to cardiac catheterization in a public hospital in Recife. Data analysis was anchored from the Blumer’s Symbolic Interaction. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Agamenon Magalhães Hospital under the number 01536912.9.0000.5197. Results: after statements analysis, the following categories emerged: fear as initial symbology of the cardiac catheterization; the heart as a symbol of duality between life and death; the omnipotent figure of the phisycian in the decision on the patient’s life; and expectations of post catheterization. Conclusion: patients undergoing catheterization face feelings of anxiety, fear and insecurity, but also hope and new prospects for the future. RESUMENObjetivo: describir la experiencia que enfrentan los pacientes sometidos a cateterismo cardíaco en un hospital público de Recife. Método: estudio descriptivo, con enfoque cualitativo. Las entrevistas narrativas se usaron como instrumento de recopilación de datos. La muestra consistió en siete pacientes sometidos a cateterismo cardíaco. El análisis de datos se basó en la interacción simbólica de Blumer. El estudio fue aprobado por el Comité de Ética de Investigación del Hospital Agamenon Magalhães con el número 01536912.9.0000.5197. Resultados: después del análisis de las declaraciones, surgieron las siguientes categorías: miedo como simbología inicial del cateterismo cardíaco; el corazón como símbolo de dualidad entre la vida y la muerte; la figura omnipotente del médico en la decisión sobre la vida del paciente; y las expectativas de post cateterismo. This study was aimed to know the teaching method of the teacher, and to know the active learning of students in the classroom. The research method used in this research was a descriptive study. The population of this research was the sixth grade of SD Kartika XX-I Makassar with the sample consist of 26 students. Data collection is taken by giving the test. The students were asked to rearrange the picture in groups. The results found that the method used by teachers is PAKEM method. The result of the average score is 75.05 with a standard deviation of 16.2. It is known that the range of values of 80-100 are 7 people (26.9%) with excellent category, 66-79 ranges of 6 (23.1%) with good category, the range of values 56-65 is 3 (11, 5%) with moderate category, 40-55 value ranges were 6 persons (23.1%) with the category of less, 30-39 score range was 4 persons (15,4%) with failed category. It can be concluded that student activeness in class is good.

Objective: To report the experience of a care for a person with clinical picture of accidental tetanus, victim of fireworks. Method: It is a descriptive study, experience report type, referring to the experience of a care performed by nursing students in June 2019, in an emergency unit at a regional public hospital in a city in the inland of state of Bahia, Brazil. Results: Victims of burns by fireworks need nursing actions that promote measures to prevent accidental tetanus. These activities can be a detailed data collection, such as observation of vaccination history and wound bed care. Conclusion: From the experience, it was possible to expand the knowledge of nursing students through reflections on the immediate measures related to care with accidental tetanus.

The purpose of this study was to determine how effective the use of SIKD in managing archives in the Pekanbaru City Library and Archives Service. The research method used is quantitative descriptive method, with data collection done through observation, questionnaires, interviews, documentation and literature study. The questionnaire was distributed to the archive manager with a research sample of 6 people. The results of this study indicate that the average score is 3.35, based on preparations using the Likert scale at intervals of 3.26 - 4.00, that the archive manager is very positive and effective using SIKD in managing the archives at the Department of Library and Archives of Pekanbaru City . And the obstacle faced by managers in using SIKD is one of the network problems, where in the Pekanbaru City Library and Archives Service the network is sometimes unstable.

ABSTRACTObjective: to understand the nurses’ feelings who care for patients that are dying at Intensive Care Unit. Method: this is about an exploratory-descriptive study from qualitative approach, which had as principal question: How do you feel taking care of patients outside chance of cure Intensive Care Unit? The sample was composed by ten nurses. It was used as a scenario, the Intensive Care Unit of a public hospital in Salvador city. Data collection occurred from August to September 2008, with recorded interviews using a semi-structured script. The content analysis proposed by Bardin was the reference used for the analysis of data, which defined the categories of analysis. Results: two categories emerged: feelings related to the patient and feelings related to with the family. Conclusion: the death is considered by nurses who deal with it in the Intensive Care Unit, as an experience of conflicting emotions, sometimes painful. A coleta de dados aconteceu entre os meses de agosto e setembro de 2008, a partir de entrevistas gravadas com roteiro semi-estruturado. A Análise de Conteúdo proposta por Bardin foi à referência utilizada para a análise dos dados, onde se definiram as categorias de análise. Resultados: emergiram duas categorias: sentimentos relacionados ao paciente e sentimentos relacionados à família. Conclusão: a morte é tida pelas enfermeiras que com ela lidam no espaço da Unidade de terapia intensiva, como uma vivência de sentimentos conflituosos, por vezes dolorosos. La recopilación de datos ocurrieron entre los meses de agosto y septiembre de 2008, registrada a partir de entrevistas semi-estructuradas con el guión. El análisis de contenido propuesta por Bardin fue la referencia utilizada para el análisis de los datos, que definen las categorías de análisis. Resultados: surgieron dos categorías: los sentimientos relacionados con el paciente y los sentimientos relacionados con la familia. Conclusión: la muerte es considerada por las enfermeras para hacer frente a ella dentro de la Unidad de Tratamiento Intensivo, como una experiencia de emociones en conflicto, a veces doloroso. <p>This aims to determine the use of critical analysis to improve metacognitive skills of students of SMP Negeri 2 Karangrejo on Topic Environmental Management. This research is a qualitative descriptive study is to describe the data obtained by identifying metacognitive skills of students through the use of critical analysis. This research was done in SMPN 2 Karangrejo class VII semester 2015. Researchers used 26 students as respondents and one expert as an observer. Data collection techniques is data metacognitive skills based on critical analysis of the workmanship scores of students, which is interpreted in the assessment of the level of metacognitive skills. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. Results of the study are: (1) the use of critical analysis showed an increase in metacognitive abilities of students seen from the averagevalue of critical analysis in the first meeting and the second meeting, namely 50.09 and 66.13 (2) the observation of the quality of the implementation of learning have criteria " very good "seen from the average of the two meetings by an average score of 4.5 and a percentage of 91%.</p><p> </p>

This study focuses on the implementation of think-pair-share technique<strong> </strong>in improving students‟ participation in a bilingual boarding high school in Central Java. The goals of this study are, (1) to identify how think-pair-share can improve the student participation in speaking class, (2) to identify what problems appear during the application of think-pair-share. I adopted Classroom Action Research (CAR) which requires four steps, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The participants are 26 high school students. The methods of data collection are observation, diary, interview, photograph, pre-questionnaire, and post-questionnaire. In analyzing data I used (1) constant comparative technique by Burns (qualitative), (2) Likert scale (quantitative). After analyzing the data, I found out that the change in participation in class was clearly seen and all the responses from the students were positive. Moreover the average score of students` participation in class increased from 30.69 to 45.42.

ABSTRACTThis research is a descriptive study that aims to determine National Paralympic Committee Of Indonesia Sulawesi South Sulawesi management in building Paralympian in South Sulawesi. The population and samples in this study were all members of a disability sports coaching program. The research subject amounted to 62 people where a manager of 25 trainers was 7 and athletes were 30 people. Data collection techniques using poll. A total of 27 kuisoners of the question consist of 5 answers, namely always, often , sometimes, rarely, never . The collected Data is analysed in a descriptive way and uses the Likert scale. The results of the study have a percentage of each category, namely, the planning is at a strong position of 2045 (78.65%) Of the expected score of 2600 (100%). Organizing is at a strong position of 1547 (79.33) of the expected score of 1950 (100%). The implementation is in a strong position of 1802 (79.20) of the expected score of 2275 (100%). Supervision is at a strong position of 1525 (78.20) of the expected score of 1950 (100%).

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of citizens learning Paket C in PKBM Merah Putih Kayutanam. This study aims to describe the perceptions of the learners on the management strategies used by the tutors in the C-class equivalency learning group and to illustrate the perceptions of the learners to the learning management strategy of the tutor with the learning outcomes in the C-class equivalent group learning group. This study is a quantitative correlational descriptive study with respondents of 20 participants of the study group Paket C at PKBM Merah Putih Kayutanam. Data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires and data collection tools using questionnaires. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between the perceptions of learners to learning strategies tutors with learning outcomes.
