This article explicates the extent to which ethical climate, self-efficacy and hope are related. The objective of the study was to determine if a relationship exist between ethical climate, hope and self-efficacy. The relationship between these constructs has not been researched previously. This research will add to the body of knowledge. Three questionnaires, namely Victor and Cullens Ethical Climate Questionnaire (ECQ) (1987), the State Hope Scale (SHS) developed by Snyder, Sympson, Ybasco, Borders, Babyak and Higgins (1996), and the Self-Efficacy Scale (SES) of Sherer, Maddux, Mercandante, Prentice-Dunn, Jacobs and Rogers (1982), were combined into one questionnaire and used to measure 97 participants responses. Various sources were compared using the Grounded Theory (GT) method. Descriptive, correlational, and inferential statistics were applied to determine the relationship between ethical climate, hope and self-efficacy. The Bravais-Pearson product-moment-correlation denotes a significant relationship between the ECQ, SHS and SES. The results demonstrate the plausibility of the integrated organizational behaviour model, which provides a new perspective on the influence of hope and self-efficacy on ethical climate.

ABSTRACT This research aims to know the relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy of lansia (elderly) who still works in Banguntapan Bantul. The Hypotheses in this research is the relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy of lansia (elderly) who still works in Banguntapan Bantul.Subject of this research are working lansia (elderly) to men and women working lansia (elderly) with ages around 65 until 70 years old they are men and women that has total of 70. The the data was collected by using instrument used hardness and self-efficacay scale. The data was analysised using pearson product moment correlation with program SPSS Version 16 for Windows.The result of the analysis, showed that the correlation was between variable hardiness and self-efficacy 0,713 with P=0,00. This result and true the hypotheses was accepted meaning there is a relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy. It means that whenever the self-efficacay in lansia (elderly) are highest so the the hardiness are highest too. And the other way, if the self efficacy in lansia (elderly) are lowest so the hardiness are lowest too. Keywords : Hardiness, Self Efficacy, and Lansia (Elderly)

The book’s epilogue explores the place of musical portraiture in the context of posthumous depictions of the deceased, and in relation to the so-called posthuman condition, which describes contemporary changes in the relationship of the individual with such aspects of life as technology and the body. It first examines Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo to view how Bernard Herrmann’s score relates to issues of portraiture and the depiction of the identity of the deceased. It then considers the work of cyborg composer-artist Neil Harbisson, who has aimed, through the use of new capabilities of hybridity between the body and technology, to convey something akin to visual likeness in his series of Sound Portraits. The epilogue shows how an examination of contemporary views of posthumous and posthuman identities helps to illuminate the ways music represents the self throughout the genre of musical portraiture.

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the multimodal literacy of pre-service teachers and their perception of self-efficacy in critical reading. At the same time, it is to what extent their multimodal literacy levels predict their perception of self-efficacy in critical reading. 337 students were chosen via convenience sampling for this study which was designed on the basis of relational survey model. The data which is needed to answer the relevant questions in our study was collected by means of Multimodal Literacy Scale (Bulut, Ulu and Kan, 2015) and Critical Reading Self-Sufficiency Perception Scale (Karadeniz, 2014). The analyses of the data collected were conducted through Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient analysis technique and multiple regression analysis technique. In view of the results we have obtained in this study, multimodalness is a strong predictive of self-efficacy perception in critical reading (R=.517; R2=.267) [F(3.336)=40.483, p˂.000). The dimension of expressing oneself using multimodal structures (r=.362), interpretation of the contents presented in multimodal structures (r=.466) and preferring multimodal structures (r=.209) has a positive and significant effect on critical reading self-efficacy perception.

This research was conducted for analyzing the effect of mediating variable that is individual task proactivity as one of the proactivities of behavior towards the relationship between self-efficacy and the employees’ performance in the logistics companies of shipping the goods. It uses convenience sampling, which is a non-probability sampling method for getting the sample of 52 employees. They were divided into two divisions, namely infrastructure and quality assurance. The questionnaire consists of two parts, in which some were assessed by themselves and others that were assessed by the supervisor. They were analyzed using path analysis using analytical tools developed by Hayes, Preacher-Hayes with the simple mediation models. It was found that employees have self-efficacy, individual task proactivity, and relatively high performance, in which individual task proactivity can be a mediating variable on the effect self-efficacy on performance.

Farmers have been very precious for societies for ages. Their active experiments, valuable knowledge about their surroundings, environment, and crops’ requirements have been a vital part of society. However, the psychological perspectives have been a hole in the loop of farming. Hence, this study has investigated the antecedents of entrepreneurial behaviors of farmers with the mediating risk of their entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE). The population chosen for this study was the farming community of suburbs of China, and a sample size of 300 was selected for the data collection. This is a survey study, where a structured questionnaire was adapted on a five-point Likert scale. The data were collected from the farming community to know their psychological and behavioral preferences about their profession. This study has produced interesting results that education, training, and intrinsic motivation play a vital role in farmers’ ESE, affecting their entrepreneurial behaviors. This study will add to the body of knowledge and provide an eminent path for emerging entrepreneurs to find more mentorship opportunities to overcome the limitations in upcoming endeavors influencing education and training.

This chapter examines the role of green transformational leadership on promoting green organizational behavior. Green transformational leadership has been found to be influencing green organizational behavior. The study uses content analysis and website analysis. Nedbank is used in the chapter as an archetype of an organization with a green transformational leadership which has influenced green organizational behavior. Four characteristics of green transformational leadership namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration were used. The leadership engages its customer and rewards them for green behavior which is important for intellectual stimulation and motivating their employees. The study contributes to the body of knowledge on green transformational behavior by confirming the relationship. The chapter recommends that more trainings and educational awareness on green values be provided to the management so that ultimately this are emulated and practiced by their employees.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health problem characterized by persistent obsessions and compulsions. This article provides insights into experiences of OCD through a qualitative, thematic analysis performed on a set of interviews with people with OCD. Four themes were found as central in the participants’ descriptions of OCD episodes: (a) space, (b) the body, (c) objects, and (d) interactions. The findings also show that episodes of OCD can be grouped into three broad categories: (a) activity episodes, which revolve around everyday tasks; (b) state episodes, which are concerned with the self and identity; and (c) object episodes, which are concerned with the effects of objects on the self. The relationship of this three-way classification of OCD episodes to existing cognitive models of OCD is discussed. The study also demonstrates the value of categorizing episodes, rather than people, into subtypes of OCD so that intra-participant variation can be highlighted.

The present study examined the moderating effect of supervisory support on the relationship between self-ratings of self-efficacy and two measures of work performance, namely supervisor-rated performance and a work-output measure. Research was conducted within the South African life insurance industry on a sample of broker consultants (sales promotional staff) ( n = 70 subjects) over a three-month period. Past research found a positive relationship between high self-efficacy and work performance. However, such research did not take account of the influence of leadership factors. It was hypothesised that effective supervisory support would facilitate the attainment of higher levels of performance. Therefore, it was hypothesised that supervisory support should moderate the self-efficacy work performance relationship, particularly in the case of low self-efficacy. As hypothesised, it was found that supervisory support moderated the relationship between self-efficacy and supervisor-rated performance. Performance was highest when low levels of self-efficacy occurred together with high supervisory support. However, supervisory support did not moderate the relationship between self-efficacy and the work-output measure of performance. Limitations of the study, as well as theoretical and practical implications are considered.
