This study’s purpose is to find out how LAZNAS Al-Azhar’s programs is affected by the gap between the collection and distribution of ZIS funds. The gap’s effects is identified by using the four aspects of zakat institution performance indicators which is input, process, output, and quality  within the interview questions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data collection is done through interviews with informen, direct observation, and documentation to the research object. The analytical technique used is qualitative descriptive, namely by narrating and describing the results of interviews and direct observation. The study’s results are the impacts arising from the gap between the collection and distribution of ZIS funds to the sustainability of LAZNAS Al-Azhar’s programs which is LAZNAS Al-Azhar running large value programs with bailout funds in advance, LAZNAS Al-Azhar carries out routine programs such as assistance programs for orphans with bailout funds in advance as well. Programs which the funds are collected first before being distributed are assistance programs for affected areas or scholarship programs. LAZNAS Al-Azhar has tried to minimized the gap that has occurred with not to hold the funds collected for too long policy. The funds that have been collected will soon be channeled through programs in the community.Keywords: Gap, Zakat, Collection, Distribution, Performance.

Muzara’ah is the contract between farm workers and farm owners in which, cost of cultivations, seeds, and fertilizers are provided by the farm owners, meanwhile the farm workers have responsibility in giving their best efforts on cultivating the farmland. Later then, the harvest will be shared according to the contract that has been agreed. The purpose of this research is to describe farmer’s welfare in the village of Sodo after implementing Muzara’ah Contract with the Maqashid Sharia approach. This research approach is qualitative descriptive and uses case study as its strategy. Informants in this research are administrator from Krido Tani Farmers Association, The farm workers, and the farm owners. These informants determined by using purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques are carried out through interview and direct observation. According to the research, it was shown that agricultural cooperation with Muzara’ah Contract has a role in improving farm workers’ welfare, viewed from the indicators of Maqasid Sharia.Keywords : Muzara’ah, Welfare, Farmer, Agricultural Cooperation

This study aimed to describe and analyze the role of social capital, as seen from the interrelation of networks, norms, and beliefs in improving the welfare of the community under the indicators of Maqashid Syariah. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Besides, this study has an analysis unit in the form of social capital and improvement of the welfare of the community who received scholarship assistance from Baitul Maal Hidayatullah of Surabaya. Also, data collection was carried out by interview and direct observation of the research object. The analysis technique utilized in this study was an explanatory analysis technique by explaining the results of interviews and direct observation. The study results reveal that social capital with norms, networks, and trust indicators play a role in improving the welfare of the community seen from the aspects of Maqashid Syariah.Keywords: Social capital, Welfare, and Maqashid Syariah

This study aims to determine the application of sharia principles contained in the investment of livestock conducted by PT Ijadgrup Rahmat Semesta in his company called Ijadfarm. The approach used is qualitative approach with case study strategy. Data collection is done by interviewing with related parties. Analytical technique that is done is source triangulation technique, pattern matching technique and descriptive qualitative analysis technique. This study aims to identify and explain the impact of waste management in Jemursari Islamic Hospital of Surabaya to externalities in terms of economic resources and the environment in the Islamic perspective. This study used a qualitative approach with case study strategy. The data collection was conducted using interviews and direct observation to the object of research.The results showed a positive impact on the management of waste Islamic Hospital Jemursari Surabaya to eskternalitas shown not to appear strong odors from waste management and the environment in hospital becomes cleaner. The results of the analysis of benefits and costs calculation in 2010 to 2015 shows the NPV> 0 and BCR> 1%, means that the value of the benefit is greater than the costs incurred, and waste management projects feasible.

Developing the rapid syariah banking along with increasing number of employee who is recruited by syariah banks motivate human resources existing to choose profession as employees in syariah banks.This research aims to know the basic considerations motivation for choosing a profession as an employee of Bank Syariah X Surabaya. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach with eksplanatoris case study. . Data collection is done by gathering documents, interviews, direct observation, and physical devices toward employee recruitment of Sharia Bank X Surabaya 2012. The techniques of analysis conducted is making an explanation.The results obtained that there are various forms of motivation shown by each employee who push their chosen profession as an employee of Bank Syariah X Surabaya. Then, that motivation is classified and described according to the theory of motivation based on Islam, Khaliq Ahmad namely The Need Theory, Instincts and Innate Biological Determinants for Behaviour, Incentives (External Stimuli),Commitment (Sincere), and Motivated Personality which is separated as Nafs Ammarah, Nafs Lawwamah, and Nafs Mutmainnah.

AbstractThis paper aims to evaluate madrasas that have been designed to have advantages in terms of input, process, output, and outcome, namely Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Insan Cendikia (MAN IC) Batam City. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research informants were the Head and Deputy Head of MAN IC Batam City, Head of Administration, teachers, students, and parents of students. The data analysis used a qualitative descriptive technique. The results showed that the implementation of MAN IC Batam City, in general, has been running by the Guidelines for Managing Cendikia Insan MAN. The recruitment process for students and teaching and education staff is carried out under established procedures. However, there are still problems, especially in the presence of educators. The status of teachers who are accepted by MAN IC is permanent teachers, not civil servants, making them take the opportunity to take the CPNS test. When accepted by civil servants they were not placed in the MAN IC Batam City. It is feared that changing teachers often will have an impact on students. Infrastructure facilities that support the teaching and learning process at a minimum have also been fulfilled. However, teacher dormitory is far from being fulfilled. The output produced by MAN IC Batam has been good, becoming the best madrasa and many achievements have been made in three years, both academic and non-academic achievements. AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi madrasah yang sejak awal pendiriannya didesain memiliki keunggulan baik dari sisi input, proses, output maupun outcome yaitu Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Insan Cendikia (MAN IC) Kota Batam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan penelitian adalah Kepala dan wakil kepala MAN IC Kota Batam, Kepala Tata Usaha, guru, peserta didik, dan orang tua siswa. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyelenggaraan MAN IC Kota Batam secara umum telah berjalan sesuai dengan Pedoman Penyelenggaraan MAN Insan Cendikia. Proses rekriutmen siswa dan tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan berjalan sesuai dengan prosedur yang ditetapkan. Namun masih ada permasalahan khususnya pada keberadaan tenaga pendidik. Status guru yang diterima MAN IC adalah guru tetap bukan PNS membuat mereka mengambil kesempatan mengikuti tes CPNS. Ketika diterima PNS mereka tidak ditempatkan di MAN IC Kota Batam. Seringnya berganti guru dikhawatirkan akan berdampak pada peserta didik. Sarana prasarana yang menunjang proses belajar mengajar secara minimal juga sudah terpenuhi. Namun untuk asrama guru masih jauh dari terpenuhi. Output yang dihasilkan MAN IC Batam sudah baik, menjadi madrasah terbaik dan banyak prestasi yang sudah diraih dalam tiga tahun baik prestasi akademik maupun non akademik.

Writing activities are essentially not only to give birth to a thought and a feeling, but also a disclosure of knowledge ideas and the life experience of a person in writing language. The study used a qualitative approach with case study techniques. With the research subject grade V students MI ma'arif NU 1 Kaliwangi. Data collection techniques with interviews, observations, and documentation. Analytics Data uses the Miles and Huberman model. Results showed (a) mature planning before the process of dissection (b) the implementation of creative learning with the image media assisted by the LCD, and Worksheet (c) Self-reliance assessment techniques with direct observation, and system point, (d) The lack of introductory media such as dictionaries changed basic barriers.

Amil zaka in zaka institutions has the right as one of eight ashnaf. Their rights are usually used by zaka institutions as operational cost. However, not all of the intitutions which manage zaka take amil’s right, one of them is Yayasan Nurul Hayat. This institution does not take amil’s right and it is independent in its operational cost. To support this operational cost, Yayasan Nurul Hayat establish business unit with utilize its profit.This study aimed to discover the capability of business unit in supporting operational cost of Yayasan Nurul Hayat. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive case study method. The selections of informant are using purposive sampling method. Data collection was conducted by semi-structured interviews and documentation. This data is analyzed using descriptive method.The result of this study shows that Yayasan Nurul Hayat Employments’ Salary is taken from business unit’s profit. It is also used to give bonus for employments and grow the business unit of Yayasan Nurul Hayat up. From the result of this study, it can be concluded that the business unit which is developed has great capability to support operational cost of Yayasan Nurul Hayat.

This research explains the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI at Senior high school Darut Taqwa Sengonagung Purwosari Pasuruan. This Research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The data collection was through by unstructured and opened interview techniques, unattended and opened observation, and documentation techniques. For analysis and interpretation of data using steps: a). Reduction data, b). Displaying data, and c). Conclusion drawing / verification. The results of the research shows that the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI through two ways, namely through the material and using methods that reflect multicultural values.

Giving stimulus from educators in the form of giving appreciation and punishment will greatly affect the way of thinking and behavior of students in achieving the goals of character education that have been set. This study aims to describe the implementation of reward and punishment in shaping the character of students' discipline. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data used source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of this study indicate: (1) The implementation of rewards in shaping the discipline character of students is done by giving rewards in the form of praise and giving appreciation in the form of gifts. (2) The implementation of punishment in shaping the disciplinary character of students is carried out by giving gradual warnings, giving spontaneous warnings and written warning letters. (3) Evaluation of the implementation of rewards and punishments in shaping the character of students' discipline is using process evaluation, which is an assessment carried out during the learning process by observing the attitudes of students everyday when they are in the madrasa environment.. Keywords: Reward; Punishment; Discipline; Learners Pemberian stimulus dari pendidik berupa pemberian apresiasi dan hukuman akan sangat mempengaruhi cara berpikir dan tingkah laku peserta didik dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan karakter yang sudah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi reward dan punishment dalam membentuk karakter disiplin peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi tehnik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Implementasi reward dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik dilakukan dengan memberikan reward dalam bentuk pujian serta memberikan apresiasi dalam bentuk hadiah. (2) Implementasi punishment dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik dilakukan dengan cara memberi peringatan secara bertahap, memberi teguran spontan dan surat peringatan tertulis. (3) Evaluasi implementasi reward dan punishment dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik adalah menggunakan evaluasi proses, yaitu penilaian yang dilakukan di saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan mengamati dari sikap peserta didik sehari-hari ketika berada di lingkungan madrasah.
