This article is written based on research and community service (PPM) activities by University (PT) to encourage innovation in rural areas. University is an institution that is tasked with producing world-class knowledge, while still having a role to contribute to local problems in Indonesian society, including encouraging innovation in rural areas. The case of research and community service chosen was the revitalization and development of the Village Market in Majalengka, where local village heads, known as Kuwu, built networks to develop the village's resources to respond to economic growth in this area triggered by Kertajati International Airport. With a pro-innovation situation approach, PPM is designed at the same time to produce design work that is beneficial to society and scientific knowledge extraction. With the framework of the Actor-Network Theory (ANT), knowledge extraction is carried out by tracing the relationships that occur at each stage of PPM, to find out whether there is an expansion of the actor-network at the end of the activity. There are three important findings in the investigation of the perpetrator's network. First, there is a local ecosystem, namely the Kuwu forum, which can trigger various innovative ideas involving parties outside the village. Second, some mediators play a role in bridging the "university world" with the "village world". Third, expansion of the innovation network after activities occurs if they have internal factors, namely solidity of key innovators in the village, and external factors, namely networks owned by researchers that can be used by innovators in the village to develop existing potentials. For a pro-innovation situation to occur, a "design thinking" approach needs to be done in designing PPM activities as well as part of problem-solving and scientific knowledge production.

Indonesia is one country with a large population, and most live in rural areas. The lives of people in rural areas mostly work as farmers and ranchers. The economy of rural communities still relies on agricultural crops and livestock that are sold on the market. Economic problems of rural communities arise when something interferes with crops from agriculture and livestock. The purpose of this activity is as a form of community service in the field of applying solar home system technology (SHS) to help solve the problems of the village community and create villages that are energy-based in livestock and agriculture. This community service activity was carried out at RT.05 / 12 Batangsari Hamlet, Pasarbatang Sub-District, Brebes Regency. The steps of this activity are preceded by a field assessment; focus group disscussion; and installation of SHS implementation. The result of this activity is that there are drill wells with a depth of more than 100 m and for lifting water with the help of energy-sourced water pumps from the Solar Power Plant.

Therefore, the set of tools designed for this research was stronglyfounded by Actor-Network Theory (ANT). ANT was combined with the notion of cosmos and cosmopolitics proposedby Stengers and also with the mapping of controversy. The results show that science education for citizenship shouldfocus on student participation in technic-scientific issues of public interest, and on practices that make room for themanifestations of the nature of technical and scientific objects. Keywords: Scientific literacy. Community social problems such as gambling, drinking, drug abuse, which is hereinafter referred to as social disease, are a problem that will be continuously faced in big cities and in areas such as rural areas. These social ills are generally experienced by young people (productive age). This will certainly be a new obstacle for the progress of a nation. Young people who are in the productive age group will spend a lot of time and opportunity when they are involved in the social ills of the community. Therefore we need joint steps from the central government, regional government, private sector, community, family and others to find solutions to problems that occur. Community service activities in Jati Rejo Village, Pagar Merbau Sub-District, Deli Serdang Regency are intended to find out the development of social conditions in the village and provide legal counseling about community social ills to communities in Jati Rejo village with the hope that the community will be more introspective and aware not to be involved in various activities that are against the law.

The aim of this article is to analyse how doctrines are embodied in local church life and how they mediate tradition in a local church and community. The article draws on a larger research project focusing on questions concerning ecclesial identity in rural areas of northern Sweden. The ecclesiological analysis and approach is inspired by Actor-Network Theory. The material embodiments of theological doctrines in the Eucharistic liturgy are interpreted as mediators of tradition within the thick fabric of the liturgy and the ecclesial context. The analysis results in a picture of the thick ecclesial fabric in which doctrines are mediated and given meaning in parish life. The article also shows how doctrines can be mediated and translated on a personal level in relation to the liturgy.

Jelekong is an art and culture village in Baleendah Sub-district of Bandung Regency which is well known for its activities in paintings and wayang golek or puppet crafts. The village’s character related to art is also shaped by several actions and relationships between socio-technical actors apart from the existence of artists and their activities. This research was, therefore, conducted to describe Jelekong Village as a heterogeneous socio-technical network by identifying and analyzing several actors and actions using Actor-Network Theory (ANT) which is a qualitative research method. Five network-actor conception prepositions including 1) the will of actan, 2) actors, 3) composition and translation of action, 4) network locality, and 5) network representation were reviewed to determine the phenomenon of the heterogeneous network formed in the village. The results showed several factors required in becoming Jelekong Village network and they include 1) the artist's will to initiate art actions, 2) existence of sociotechnical agent such as actors and resources related to the artist, 3) a very complex art relationship, 4) establishment of an art environment such as a studio and gallery, and 5) the meaning of art space for artists as a forum to preserve arts and culture as well as potential economic resources.
