Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) adanya miskonsepsi siswa pada materi konsep redoks di kelas X MIPA SMA Batik 1 Surakarta, (2)  sub indikator materi konsep redoks yang menjadi miskonsepsi siswa terbesar di kelas X MIPA SMA Batik 1 Surakarta, dan (3) penyebab miskonsepsi siswa pada materi konsep redoks di kelas X MIPA SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik <em>purposive sampling</em>. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1, X MIPA 2, dan X MIPA 3 SMA Batik 1 Surakarta yang dipilih berdasarkan rekomendasi guru kimia. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik <em>three-tier multiple choice</em>, wawancara mendalam (guru dan siswa), analisis RPP serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ditemukan adanya miskonsepsi siswa pada materi konsep redoks di kelas X MIPA SMA Batik 1 Surakarta; (2) miskonsepsi siswa pada materi konsep redoks terbesar di kelas X MIPA SMA Batik 1 Surakarta ditemukan pada sub indikator penerapan dan persamaan reaksi redoks yaitu sebesar 46,89%; (3) penyebab miskonsepsi siswa pada materi konsep redoks di kelas X MIPA SMA Batik 1 Surakarta yaitu berasal dari siswa, guru, model pembelajaran, serta buku pegangan guru dan siswa.

The purpose of this study was to examine the application of the PORPE technique in enhancing the eleventh-grade students’ reading achievement of SMAN 3 Unggulan Kayuagung. Since there were five classes with 157 students, the samples were selected using purposive sampling. As a result, there were 62 students who took part as the sample.  This study used a quasi-experimental design with nonrandomized pretest and posttest control groups. The data was gathered employing a written test, which was a multiple-choice reading test. The data was analyzed using the t-test. The results revealed that students who were taught through PORPE technique scored higher on reading tests. Besides, PORPE technique could improve the eleventh grade students’ reading achievement of SMAN 3 Unggulan Kayuagung. Hence, students could understand the information form the text and were confidence in answering the questions.

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Kota Sukabumi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan januari di minggu ke-4 di salah satu SMA Negeri Kota Sukabumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Kota Sukabumi sebanyak 81 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes tertulis berupa multiple choice sebanyak 15 soal yang memiliki reabilitas 0,34, simpangan baku 2,63 dan korelasinya 0,21 dengan menggunakan 10 indikator keterampilan proses sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Kota Sukabumi tahun ajaran 2019/2020 masih dalam kategori kurang. Namun hasil tersebut dapat ditingkatkan kembali dengan menggunakan model, strategi dan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mampu memberdayakan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang disarankan adalan model pembelajaran inkuiri. Kata Kunci : Keterampilan Proses Sains, Siswa Kelas X.

Abstract This research has the purpose to knowing the value of the lighting level in the room at primary school, is in conformity with applicable regulations or not and to knowing teacher’s knowledge and understanding level about the school lighting system. This research conducted in May until July 2016 at primary school in Kelurahan Rawamangun, East Jakarta. This research is quantitative descriptive with survey method. The sampling technique used in this research is random purposive sampling, where purposive that schools are not taken in a period of improvement and the respondent teachers are permanent teachers. Samples taken random with a degree of error of ± 10 %, so sample taken is 10 schools and 80 teachers. The results of this research is a translation percentage descriptive of the data suitability lighting levels at one to six classrooms, a teachers' room, library and science laboratories when sunny weather use the lights and do not use lights. And data of teacher’s understanding of school lighting system, which divided into five dimensions is healthy condition in classrooms, the lighting in the classrooms, electrical energy-saving concept of the school, the impact of lighting on health and health dan safety in the classroom as stated in 15 item multiple-choice questions. The results of this research stated that 10 schools have measured lighting levels can be concluded that the 0 % suitability rate of illumination for the one classroom, second classroom, third classroom, fourth classroom and science laboratories, 10 % suitability for the five classroom, six classroom dan teacher’s room when using the lights and do not use the lights. And suitability for the library is 11.1 % when not using lights and 12.5 % when using light. And from the research data of objective tests 15 item multiple-choice question for teacher's understanding can be concluded that the percentage of comprehension for the dimensions of healthy condition in classroom is 83.33 %, the dimensions of the lighting in the classroom is 40.416 % , the dimensions of the electrical energy-saving concept of the school is 92.5 % , dimensions of the impact of lighting on health is 68.75 % , and the dimensions of health and safety in the classroom is 49.58 % . There are several dimensions that are not understood by the teacher’s, because it need an advanced program for theacher’s follow-up to can better understand the kind of school lighting system. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai tingkat pencahayaan pada ruang-ruang sekolah dasar apakah sudah sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku dan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman guru mengenai sistem pencahayaan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan bulan Juli 2016 di sekolah dasar di lingkungan kelurahan Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuntitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik acak dengan pertimbangan tertentu (random purposive sampling), dimana pertimbangannya yaitu sekolah yang diambil tidak dalam masa perbaikan dan responden guru-guru merupakan guru tetap. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil secara acak (random) dengan taraf kesalahan penelitian ±10 %, sehingga jumlah sampel yang diambil yaitu sebanyak 10 sekolah dan 80 orang guru-guru Hasil penelitian ini berupa penjabaran secara persentase deskriptif mengenai data kesesuaian tingkat pencahayaan pada ruang kelas satu sampai enam, ruang guru, perpustakaan dan laboratorium IPA saat cuaca cerah menggunakan lampu dan tidak menggunakan lampu. Serta data pemahaman responden guru-guru tentang sistem pencahayaan sekolah yang terjabarkan dalam lima dimensi yaitu kondisi ruang belajar yang sehat, pencahayaan pada ruang belajar, konsep hemat energi listrik sekolah, dampak pencahayaan terhadap kesehatan dan kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja pada ruang belajar yang tertuang dalam 15 item pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa dari 10 sekolah yang diukur tingkat pencahayaan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa 0% kesesuaian tingkat pencahayaan untuk ruang kelas satu, kelas dua, kelas tiga, kelas empat dan ruang laboratorium IPA, 10 % kesesuaian untuk ruang kelas lima, ruang kelas enam dan ruang guru baik saat menggunakan lampu dan tidak menggunakan lampu. Untuk ruang perpustakaan yaitu 11.1 % kesesuaiannya saat tidak menggunakan lampu dan 12.5 % kesesuaiannya saat menggunakan lampu. Dari data hasil penelitian tes objektif berbentuk pilihan ganda 15 item pertanyaan untuk pemahaman guru dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa persentase pemahaman untuk dimensi kondisi ruang belajar yang sehat yaitu 83.33%, dimensi pencahayaan pada ruang belajar yaitu 40.416%, dimensi konsep hemat energi listrik sekolah yaitu 92.5%, dimensi dampak pencahayaan terhadap kesehatan yaitu 68.75%, dan dimensi kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja pada ruang belajar yaitu 49.58%. Masih terdapat beberapa dimensi yang tidak dipahami oleh guru dengan baik oleh karena itu perlu diadakan sebuah program lanjutan agar guru-guru dapat lebih memahami sistem pencahayaan yang baik pada sekolah.

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of using an interactive e-module to reduce students’ misconceptions on salt hydrolysis material at grade XI in senior high school. This study implemented a pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest research design, which utilized one class as the experimental class. Samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique, and it was obtained one class as the experimental class, namely class XI in State Madrasah Aliyah 1 Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. Before giving the treatment, the sample was administered a pretest and after the treatment, they were given a posttest. The pretest and posttest questions occupied three-tier multiple choice questions. The reduction of misconceptions on Salt Hydrolysis material after using the interactive e-module was 16.21%. The study found that interactive e-modules effective to reduce misconceptions on salt hydrolysis material was significant.

This study aims to determine the influence of contextual physics teaching materials in an effort to improve the mastery of student concepts. This research is a type of research development (reseach and development). The population is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Mataram 2016/2017 school year amounted to 365 students. The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique so that it was obtained by class XI IPA 2 (38 students) as experimental class and class XI IPA 3 (40 students) as control class. The instrument used to measure conceptual mastery is a multiple-choice test. The results showed that the use of contextual teaching materials influential in improving the mastery of the concept of students.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi materi larutan penyangga, persentase miskonsepsi pada setiap indikator materi larutan penyangga, dan penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi materi larutan penyangga pada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang melibatkan 80 siswa kelas XI IPA 4 dan XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Mataram sebagai sampel dalam penelitian yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menganalisis miskonsepsi larutan penyangga yaitu instrumen multiple choice two tier diagnostic. Instrumen di validasi oleh expert judgment dan validasi empirik oleh 38 siswa kelas XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Mataram.. Hasil analisis miskonsepsi larutan penyangga menggunakan instrumen two-tier multiple choice diagnostic menunjukkan bahwa terjadi miskonsepi sebesar 47%, memahami konsep sebesar 37%, dan tidak memahami konsep sebesar 16%. Miskonsepsi terbanyak terjadi pada indikator konsep perhitungan pH larutan penyangga pada penambahan sedikit asam atau basa sejumLah 4 soal yaitu dengan rata-rata 64,08%. Miskonsepsi larutan penyangga terjadi karena guru kurang menekankan materi konsep, khususnya pada indikator larutan penyangga pada kehidupan sehari-hari, bahasa buku teks kimia yang terlalu sulit, dan siswa sendiri yang kurang fokus saat proses pembelajaran. Misconceptions on buffer solution AbstractThis study aims to determine the misconception on buffer solution, the percentage of misconceptions on each indicator, and the cause of the misconception of the student of SMA Negeri 2 Mataram.This research is a qualitative descriptive study involving 80 students of class XI of physics study (IPA) 4 and XI 5 of SMAN 2 Mataram as samples determined by purposive sampling. The instrument used to analyze the misconceptions of the buffer solution is two-tier instrument diagnostic multiple choice. The instrument is validated by expert judgment and empirical validation by 38 students of class XII physic study (IPA) 2 SMA Negeri 2 Mataram. The results of the data analysis showed that there is 47% misconceptions, 37% understand and as many as 16% do not understand concept. Misconceptions occurred in the calculation of the indicator concept pH buffer solution in the addition of a small amount of acid or base in an average of 64.08%. The misconception of the buffer solution occurred because the teachers did not emphasize the concept of matter, particularly on indicators of the buffer solution in everyday life, the language of chemistry textbooks that are too difficult, and the students themselves are less focused during the learning process.

This study aims to determine the cognitive abilities of students on the material system of motion in humans through charta media in class VIII E students of SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa, Tangerang Regency. The method used is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, in the 2014/2015 academic year. The sample used is class VIII E consisting of 40 people. The data collection technique was carried out by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using pretest-posttest. The instrument used is an objective test in the form of multiple choice to measure cognitive ability. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of charta learning media can increase the value of cognitive abilities of class VIII E students of SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa, Tangerang Regency. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi system gerak pada manusia melalui media charta pada siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa Kabupaten Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa Kabupaten Tangerang tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas VIII E yang terdiri dari 40 orang. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan secara purpose sampling. Tenik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest-postest. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes objektif berupa pilihan ganda untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran charta dapat meningkatkan nilai kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Cikupa Kabupaten Tangerang.

This research aimed at finding out whether or not Predict, Organize, Search, Summarize, and Evaluate (POSSE) Strategy influence the students’ reading comprehension achievement of the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Karang Tengah. The population consists of 99 students. The sample was 69 students taken through purposive sampling. In this research, the researcher used multiple-choice as an instrument for collecting the data. The data obtained from Independent t-test analysis, between the result of the posttest in the experimental group and the control group. Based on the calculation by using an Independent t-test, the researcher found that t-Obt. was higher than the t-table (4,115 > 2,000) and less than at the significant level α = 0.05(0.000 < 0.05) in a two-tailed test. So, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It can be concluded that the POSSE Strategy influence to teach reading comprehension achievement.

The study is intended to determine how the differences between classes of homogeneous and class heterogeneous on the level of participation and the results of learning in class XI of the system of reproduction. The research is including field research with the approach of quantitative use study comparisons. Intake sample used technique purposive sampling and using three classes. the class is heterogeneous, class homogeneous male (M) and class heterogenous female (FM). Instruments retrieval of data using the data test multiple choice (posttest) and questionnaire level of participation. Mechanichal analysis of the data using a test statistic one way ANOVA and test Tukey as the test continued. The results of the study indicate that 1) the level of participation in class heterogeneous, class homogeneous male and class homogeneous female is not there differences in views of the value of the significant of 0,122 which means 0,122 > 0,05 and Fcount of 2,185 <Ftable. 2) The result of study on class of heterogenous, class homogeneous male, class homogeneous female there are differences in view on the value of significant of 0,000. Wich means that 0,000 <0.05 and Fcount amounted to 52,657> Ftable, based on test Tukey class that has the value of the results of studying the best is the class of homogeneous male.

Abstract. Identification of StudentsMisconception by Using Certainty of Response Index (CRI) to Ecosystem in Student Class XI MIA on Senior High School. This research aims to know the description of the misconception to grade XI MIA MAN 1 Jeneponto content ecosystem by using the method of Certainty of Responses Index (CRI). This research is descriptive Research. The subject is a student of Class XI and XI MIA3 MIA2 semester odd years lessons 2017/2018 with total students 56 people. Sampling techniques using a purposive sampling technique. Instrument in this study using a diagnostic test multiple choice shaped reasoned that come with the value of the CRI. The results showed that the percentage of level/category/categories on students understanding i.e. understand concepts of 24.11%, understand the concept but less sure of 1.70%, misconception of 37.23% and don't understand the concept in hardness of 36.96%.
