<p><em>Seeing the existing problems with the character crisis in this country, as an effort for social studies teachers to implement character education in instilling the nationalism of students in the era of independent learning. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, where descriptive research in this case is a study that aims to describe the policy of independent learning as an effort to improve the quality of education and the attitude of nationalism. The results of this study indicate that the attitude of nationalism which is part of the character values really needs to be possessed by students, the role of the teacher is very important in shaping the character of students who have a nationalistic attitude. The teacher's role implementation can be reflected in the teacher's personality, because the teacher is the main factor and influences the learning process of students. The efforts of history teachers in forming students' nationalistic attitudes, namely linking with the scope, historical material and lesson plans for history subjects, the methods used by teachers in instilling the existing values of nationalism. Learning media used by teachers in an effort to form student nationalism attitudes.</em></p>

As a medium of communication, a song has a great impact on children’s development. A small number of children song generate children to sing adult songs, however, there are some adult songs which are not suitable the children in relation to lyrics and theme. The incomprehension of the lyrics and meaning existed in the song can be psychologically influential for the child’s development. This study analyzes the role of Walt Disney’s cartoon soundtracks for character education to children. This is a qualitative-descriptive research, taking observation and in-depth interview to 10 informants who have children of 7-11 years old in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The results stated that the soundtracks How Far I’ll Go and Let It Go bring positive characters in contents that are useful for character education. The character education taken from lyrics of the songs is conveyed and developed by vocabulary enrichment, the discussion in easy-digested language, and storytelling. These require special time. The good changes in children’s good characters happen by time and process. Therefore, character education needs to be continued and developed in different ways.

The pandemic event that occurred in Indonesia affected all lines of community life, one of which was in the field of education. During the pandemic, learning in schools was carried out with distance learning with an online model (in the network). The Minister of Education and Culture has planned a policy, namely "Free Learning" with the aim of creating enjoyable learning. Freedom of learning which is meant is freedom in thinking, opening up broad opportunities for educators and students to innovate and improve the quality of learning independently. A new challenge for educators, especially for history teachers, is to create innovative and learner-focused learning designs. Designing an innovative and simple lesson plan must still give place to the character education process. This is answered by using a project-based learning model, in which this learning model provides broad opportunities for students to explore and innovate in the knowledge being learned. With this the goal of independent learning will be achieved for teachers and students, so that education in Indonesia will produce quality education

Pendidikan di Indonesia sedang berbenah menuju kualitas pendidikan yang lebih unggul dan berkarakter. Salah satunya diwujudkan dengan adanya terobosan baru bernama merdeka belajar-kampus merdeka yang diluncurkan oleh Kemendikbud, menyasar pendidikan dasar dan menengah hingga perguruan tinggi. Konsep merdeka belajar merupakan konsep yang diyakini dapat memerdekakan dalam artian positif, siswa dan guru sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat berlangsung secara maksimal. Penulis menemukan bahwa konsep merdeka belajar termuat dalam novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata. Masalah pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana potret konsep merdeka belajar dalam novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata tahun 2020? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan potret konsep merdeka belajar dalam novel Guru Aini. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deksripstif kualitatif dengan teori sosiologi sastra sebagai pedoman dalam analisisnya. Hasil penelitian ini menganalisis bahwa di novel Guru Aini memuat potret merdeka belajar seperti adanya proyek kemanusiaan, guru dan peserta didik yang merdeka dan bahagia dalam proses pembelajaran serta adanya nilai moral, etika, pendidikan, agama, sosial yang ditinjau dari konsep sosiologi sastra. Education in Indonesia is tending to a superior quality of education and character. One of them is realized with the existence of a new breakthrough called merdeka-independent campus learning launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture, targeting primary and secondary education to tertiary institutions. The concept of independent learning is a concept that is believed to be able to liberate in a positive sense, students and teachers so that the learning process can take place optimally. The author finds that the concept of freedom of learning is contained in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. The main problem in this research is how the portrait of the concept of freedom of learning in the novel "Guru Aini"? The aim is to describe the portrait of the concept of independent learning in the novel "Guru Aini". The method used is qualitative descriptive research method with the theory of literary sociology as a guide in its analysis. The results of this study analyze that in the novel "Guru Aini" contains a portrait of independent learning such as a humanitarian project, teachers and students who are independent and happy in the learning process as well as the existence of moral values, ethics, education, religion, social in terms of the concept of sociological literature.

The main factor of determining the level of sanitary and hygienic indicators of the quality of milk produced is the hygiene of milking cows. The study of the role of hygiene of milking is of great importance for a correct understanding of the ways of solving the problem of obtaining high quality milk. Special attention of scientists and practitioners in recent years are focused on the development and implementation of highly effective detergents and disinfectants in the production of milk of cows. Many researchers and practitioners have directed their work to developing measures to prevent the entry of pathogenic microflora into milk during and after milking cows. In spite of many researches carried out, aimed at controlling the number of somatic cells in milk with the use of different products based on lactic acid, chlorhexidine and iodine, the problem of high quality milk production remains unresolved. In our work results of researches on the use of probiotic means for treatment of udders of cows are given. Processing the udder of cows with probiotic means before milking by Skin Cleaner, after milking by PIP Cow Teat Cleaner reduced the amount of somatic cells in cow milk 12,8-84,0%. The use of probiotic means Biomastim lowed somatic cell count of 18,4-51,9%. Microbiological contamination of milk using probiotic means for processing the udder before milking Skin Cleaner, after milking PIP Cow Teat Cleaner decreased 4,9- 70,4 times. The application of probiotic means Biomastim after milking on the teats led to the decrease in milk of cows QMAFAnM 5,0-6,6 times.

This research focuses on how leadership has a major role in addressing environmental issues, especially through the garbage bank program as a form of case study. Furthermore, the problems that occur in the midst of society are often rely solely on political will or political desire to solve them. The research is to know and learn Lurah's (head of village) leadership in the management of waste banks specifically. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques through structured interviews, documentation and observations. Researchers conducted an analysis using leadership theory from Yukl, where the theory discusses leadership comprehensively. Researchers only focus on five parts of the concept that are considered relevant, namely: visionary, guidance, affiliative, democratic and communicative concepts. The results of this study based on these dimensions are good enough Lurah (head of village) leadership. But there are several things that are considered able to optimize the running of the program through the role of Lurah (Head of village) leadership, namely: first, involving active knots and community leaders such as MUI, academics to support scientific aspects, and professionals in the field of practical management. This study aims to identify and describe the role of principal leadership in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees and to find out what obstacles are the obstacles to the role of principal leadership in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees at SMP PGRI 03 Kencong, Jember Regency. Is a type of qualitative descriptive research and uses purposive sampling technique. There are five roles of the Principal and two obstacles faced by the Principal in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees. The results showed that the principal of SMP PGRI 03 Kencong, Jember Regency carried out the role of a leader by planning and deliberating; as a manager by creating collaboration between teachers and employees; as an educator by preparing a learning program plan; as an administrator by managing facilities and infrastructure as well as financial administration; motivator by providing motivation with a conducive school environment. The obstacles faced by the principal in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees are teachers and employees who are less disciplined in carrying out their duties so that it is also difficult to improve their work discipline, as well as obstacles in inadequate school facilities and infrastructure. Keywords: employees, leadership, principals, teachers, work discipline Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai dan untuk  mengetahui kendala apa saja yang menjadi penghambat peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai di SMP PGRI 03 Kencong Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Terdapat lima peran Kepala Sekolah dan dua kendala yang dihadapi oleh Kepala Sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah SMP PGRI 03 Kencong Kabupaten Jember melaksanakan peran sebagai pemimpin dengan membuat perencanaan dan bermusyawarah; sebagai manajer dengan menciptakan kerjasama antara guru dan pegawai; sebagai pendidik dengan menyusun rencana program pembelajaran;sebagai administrator dengan mengelola sarana dan prasarana serta administrasi keuangan; motivator dengan memberikan motivasi  dengan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif. Kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai yaitu guru dan pegawai yang kurang disiplin dalam melaksanakan tugas sehingga kesulitan pula dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerjanya, serta kendala dalam sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang belum memadai. General Store is one of the important sections in Hotels that are included in the accounting Deparment. A general store is a storage place for all operational items of the hotel. Each hotel makes its own efforts to keep the inventory of the hotel which will become the guest necessities. This research aims to know what efforts are made to maintain the quality of hotel operational goods through the role of the general store section at The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta. Is in accordance with the standard or does not give special treatment to the operational goods (ignored). The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through interviews. Interviews were conducted with general store staff, cost control staff, and trainees of food beverages at The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta. The results of the research show that The Hotel Phoenix Yogyakarta made positive efforts that can reduce damage to goods stored in the general store and always ensure the goods that come to the guests are in good condition so that guests will feel satisfied.

This study was conducted based on the low of religious practice of students which is the implementation of the learning outcomes of religious knowledge obtained anywhere, especially in SD Plus Al-Islam. Therefore, in the implementation of the school should be able to realize the management of education well, because the success of learning is strongly influenced by management effectiveness formulated. Islamic religious material in SD Plus Al-Islam is a distinctive feature that distinguishes it from other elementary schools. Therefore, the school should really be able to streamline the management of education in Islamic learning to improve the quality or quality of education, especially in religious practice. This study, included in qualitative descriptive research. The author collects data using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of research on the effectiveness of management education in Islamic learning to foster attitudes and religious practices of students, especially in performing prayers sunnah duha every morning, reading or memorizing Al-Quran, charity, and say hello. The overall management implementation process includes organizing, implementing and valuing systems. While the religious practice of the students is very diverse, in addition to the school management that must be considered, motivation, coaching, supervision of teachers, and environmental factors must also be considered. So the effectiveness of management in SD Plus Al-Islam Wanayasa Purwakarta was effective and can improve the attitude of religious practice of students.

Literature and character education are two things that can not be separated. Literature as a reflection of the life of the community generally teaches the reader to be able to understand the wisdom of the displayed story. Literature can be used as a medium of learning, especially in the process of internalization of the value of character education to learners. The value of character education in the literary work is expected to be followed by the students. Currently, Indonesia is experiencing moral degradation. The need for moral cultivation to the learners aims to create human beings who are virtuous in the future. Each subject has the right to internalize character education to learners. So in the Indonesian language, the process of characterization of character education can be done when learning on literary materials. This study aims to describe the value of character education in Solopos children's stories. this research is included in qualitative descriptive research. The results of this study concluded that in the story Solopos child, there is a value of character education that can be taught to learners, especially at the elementary school level. The results showed that this child's story can be used as a reference for teachers, as a medium to internalize character education at the elementary school level. Sastra dan pendidikan karakter merupakan dua hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Sastra sebagai cerminan kehidupan masyarakat, umumnya mengajarkan kepada pembaca untuk dapat memahami hikmah dari cerita yang ditampilkan. Sastra dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran, terutama dalam proses penginternalisasian nilai pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik. Nilai pendidikan karakter dalam karya sastra tersebut diharapkan dapat diteladani oleh peserta didik. Saat ini Indonesia sedang mengalami degradasi moral. Perlunya penanaman moral kepada peserta didik bertujuan untuk menciptakan manusia yang berbudi pekerti di masa depan. Setiap mata pelajaran memiliki hak untuk menginternalisasikan pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik. Maka dalam bahasa Indonesia, proses penginternalisasian pendidikan karakter dapat dilakukan ketika pembelajaran pada materi kesastraan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam cerita anak Solopos. penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian diskrptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam cerita anak Solopos, terdapat nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat diajarkan kepada peserta didik terutama pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa cerita anak ini dapat digunakan sebagai rujukkan bagi guru, sebagai media untuk menginternalisasikan pendidikan karakter pada jenjang sekolah dasar.

Budget is the most important tool in planning and controlling the company to achieve its goals. In implementing the project cost budget compiled by CV. Anugerah Jaya for the project did not carry out analysis of variance, so it is not known what caused the adverse variance to occur. The project cost budget prepared by the company is not used as a basis for evaluating or measuring company performance and besides that the absence of rewards given to job executors and other employees is one of the reasons for the lack of budget control. So it is necessary to analyze the role of the budget as a planning and controlling tool project costs at CV. Anugerah Jaya Surabaya. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method on CV. Anugerah Jaya Surabaya. The data used are obtained from observations, interviews and documentation of internal company data. Using triangulation techniques that combine various data collection techniques and existing data sources to check the validity of the data. The analysis technique used is to analyze the data and compare with the theory in accordance with the existing problems. From the results of this research it can be concluded that the application of the budget as a tool for planning and controlling project costs at CV. Anugerah Jaya is still not running optimally. This is due to no price updates on materials, no rewards and punishments applied to the company, no work implementation reports, no proper variance analysis reports and no follow-up on deviations that occur.Keywords             : Budget; Planning; Controlling; Project Cost; Analysis of Variance. Anggaran merupakan alat yang paling penting dalam perencanaan dan pengendalian perusahaan untuk mencapai tujuannya.Dalam pelakasanaan anggaran biaya proyek yang disusun oleh CV. Anugerah Jaya untuk proyek tidak dilakukan analisis varians sehingga tidak diketahui apa yang menyebabkan varians yang merugikan itu terjadi. Anggaran biaya proyek yang disusun oleh perusahaan tidak digunakan sebagai dasar evaluasi atau pengukur kinerja perusahaan dan selain itu tidak adanya reward yang diberikan kepada pelaksana pekerjaan dan karyawan lain menjadi salah satu sebab kurangnya pengendalian anggaran.Maka perlu dilakukan analisa mengenai peranan anggaran sebagai alat perencanaan dan pengendalian biaya proyek pada CV. Anugerah Jaya Surabaya.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus pada CV. Anugerah Jaya Surabaya.Data yang digunakan diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi data intern perusahaan.Menggunakan teknik triangulasi yang bersifat menggabungkan dari berbagai teknik pengumpulan data dan sumber data yang telah ada untuk memeriksa keabsahan data.Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan menganalisis data dan membandingkan dengan teori yang sesuai dengan permasalahan yang ada.Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan anggaran sebagai alat perencanaan dan pengendalian biaya proyek pada CV. Anugerah Jaya masih belum berjalan secara optimal.Hal ini dikarenakan tidak dilakukan update harga pada material, belum adanya reward dan punishment yang diterapkan pada perusahaan, tidak adanya laporan pelaksanaan pekerjaan, tidak membuat laporan analisis variance dengan tepat dan belum adanya tindak lanjut terhadap penyimpangan yang terjadi.
