The aim of the research was to analyze the effect of the application of Active, Joyful and Effective Learning (AJEL) to environmentally care attitude of students in X grade of 33 Senior High School of Jakarta. Sample was collected by a cluster random sampling technique with one experimental class, namely class X-Science 1, whereas X-Science 3 as control class with a total sample of 62. This study was a Quasi Experimental Method with Non-Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Components of learning model that reflects the Active, Joyful and Effective Learning (AJEL) that used in this research was time token, gallery walk, and outdoor learning. After doing normality test (Kolmogorov Smirnov Test) and homogeneous test (Fisher Test), known that data had normal distribution and homogeneous. Increase in environmentally care attitude measured use N-Gain test. Result of the test are, in experimental class, N-Gain score is 52,8 which includes into middle increased categories. In control class, N-Gain score is 24,8 which includes into low increased categories. Result of calculation hypothesis test (t-test) indicated there was an effect of the application of Active, Joyful and Effective Learning (AJEL) to environmentally care attitude of students.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan Keterampilan Proces Sains (KPS) siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dan pembelajaran konvensional mengenai materi pokok elastisitas dan hukum Hooke di SMA. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah quasi-experiment dengan desain two groups pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Medan. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan observasi aktivitas KPS siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan pengujian hipotesis uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan KPS yang signifikan antara penerapan menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional dengan nilai sig. 0,000 pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain Score dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training lebih tinggi dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa sebesar 0,70 dalam kategori tinggi dibandingkan KPS siswa dengan penerapan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 0,59 dalam kategori sedang. Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains; model pembelajaran inquiry training. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the differences in Science Proses Skills (SPS) of students using inquiry training learning model and conventional learning about the subject matter of elasticity and Hooke’s law in High School. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with two groups of pretest-posttest design. The population of this research is all students of class XI MIPA in Public Senior High School 5 Medan. The sample was taken by a purposive sampling technique that consists of two groups, namely an experimental group and a control group. The data collected technique has been done by tests and observations activities SPS student. The data in this research was analyzed a hypothesis-testing t-test. The results showed significant differences in SPS between the application of using inquiry training learning models compared to conventional learning with the value of sig. was 0.000 at the significance of level 0.05. Based on the results of the N-Gain Score test with the application of the inquiry training learning model is higher in increasing SPS of the students by 0.70 in the high category compared to SPS of students with the application of conventional learning by 0.59 in the medium category. Keywords: science process skills; inquiry training learning model.

This research is intended to find out the effect of using think pair share learning model towards students’ writing ability at class VII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. The method used in this research is quasi experimental design by using the randomized posttest only control design. The sample is taken by using purposive sampling technique. The sample of this research is 72 students; 36 students of control class without think pair share learning model and 36 students of experimental class with think pair share learning model. The requirement test is done by using normality test and homogenity test. The normality test of the postest is done by using Liliefors test. The result of normality which is taken from the control test is L0 < Lt (0,115 < 0,147) while the result of normality test in experimental class is L0 < Lt (0,135 < 0,147) and homogenity test in which Fcount < Ftable (1,054<1,74). It means that in normal and homogenity test, so the hypothesis can be tested. The hypothesis test is done by using t-test formula. The result of the research shows that the value of tcount = 6,25 which is higher than ttable = 1,665. In the level of significancy α = 0,05 with dk is 70. The mean of posttest which is required from the experimental class is 88,61 and the mean of posttest which is required from the control class is 73,61. Thus, it can be concluded that the think pair share learning model has a significant effect towards students’ writing ability at class VIIA and VIIC SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. Keywords: Think Pair Share Model, Writing, Personal Letter

<span>The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the <em>sorogan </em>method in history learning to improve students' historical understanding and historical awareness. The research method used a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design, and the sampling technique used a cluster sampling with a sample size of 96 students. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and tests of historical understanding and awareness. Meanwhile, data analysis to determine the effect and differences of the <em>sorogan</em> method to increase understanding and historical awareness using the independent sample t-test and N-gain score test. The results showed that there were a significant influence and difference between the two groups, namely the experimental and control classes based on the results of the independent sample t-test, the hypothesis H0 was rejected with a significance value of 0.000&lt;0.05, further strengthened by the results of the N-gain score test which was included in the criteria low and medium. This means that there is an influence and increase from the implementation of the <em>sorogan</em> method on historical understanding and awareness and getting a positive response from teachers and students, because the <em>sorogan</em> method is student-centered, and the teacher acts as tutorship/mentorship.</span>

This study aims to determine the effect of cognitive conflict strategy on the mastery of the concept of student fluid material SMAN 3 Mataram academic year 2016/2017. This research is a quasi experimental research using untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The population in this study is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 3 Mataram. Research sampling using cluster random sampling technique, so selected class XI IPA 1 as experiment class that will be given treatment in the form of cognitive conflict strategy and class XI IPA 2 as control class to be given treatment in the form of conventional instruction (direct instruction). Concept master data collection is done by multiple choice test. Hypothesis test using t-pooled variance test. Increased concept mastery is determined based on the results of the N-gain test. The result of the research shows that there is an increase of mastery of student concept in both classes. The experimental class experienced a higher conception mastery than the control class except on the viscosity material. Material of continuity equation in experiment class has the highest increase. This suggests that the cognitive conflict strategy applied successfully increases the mastery of students' concepts in physics learning

This research aimed to know the effect of direct instruction model with  contextual approach toward students concept comprehension in class XI SMA PGRI Sape. The method of this research was quasy-experimental with research design was pretest-posttest control group design. Population of this research is taken from all students in grade XI IPA. The research sample used was a class XI IPA 3 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 1 as the control class. The sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. The technique of data colletion used instrument test in the form of essays. Analysis of data using homogenity, normality test, hypothesis testing. Hypothesis test (t-test) students concept comprehension obtained t = 9.67 ≥ table = 2.002. It can be concluded that the direct instruction model with contextual approach significantly affect students concept comprehension.PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LANGSUNG (DIRECT INSTRUCTION) DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA

This study aims at determining the effectiveness of powerpoint games in developing initial mathematical abilities. The approach used was quantitative with a quasi experimental method type pretest-posttest group design. The population of this study was all of the group B early young learners in Koto Tangah Subdistrict, Padang City 2018/2019 academic year. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a total sample of 30 children. The data were collected by using an initial mathematical ability test adopted from REMA the Research Based Early Mathematics Assessment. Data analysis technique was an independent t-test, seeing a comparison of differences in average scores. The result shows that powerpoint games were effective in developing early mathematical abilities in the experimental group compared to the control group. The use of powerpoint games can be an alternative learning media in developing other aspects of development.

Stroke in the elderly resulted in limited autonomy. Exercise Salam Trendy consists of deep breathing exercises, stretching, and range of motion is one exercise to reduce limitations. Exercises done at home and individual 2x / week for 4 weeks. This study aimed to identify the effects of exercise "Salam Trendy" against muscle strength and walking speed of elderly post-stroke in Depok. Quasi-Experimental research design using pre and post test design. Total sample of 44 respondents consisting of the treatment group and the control group were selected with consecutive sampling technique. Evaluation studies conducted on the first and fourth week. The results showed that the arm muscle strength (p = 0.042) and legs (p = 0.005); walking speed (p = 0.002) increased significantly after being given a workout. This means that the exercise “Salam Trendy “ affect the increase in muscle strength and walking speed. The study recommends the need for this exercise as one of the interventions of nurse elderly post-stroke in the community. This study aims to determine the effect of Blanded Learning Flex Model assisted by video on science learning outcomes of the fifth grade ecosystem material at SDN Kuwaluhan, Secang, Magelang. The research design used pre-experimental design with One Group Pretest Postest Design research model. This research was conducted in class V SDN Kuwaluhan, Secang District, Magelang Regency. The total sample of the study was taken from the population with a total sample size of 28 students using a total sampling technique. The method used in data collection in this study is the test method. The validity test carried out in this study is construct validity and empirical validity. The normality test in this study obtained a significance value of 0.05 ≥ 0.05 where the data was declared normal. The reliability test used Cronbach's alpha which resulted in a reliability index of 0.941. The results of the hypothesis test are shown by the Paired Samples T Test data on the learning outcomes of science learning with t value> t table, namely 12,755> 1,701 with a sig value. (2 tailed) 0.000 <0.05, which indicates  that there is an effect of the Blanded Learning Flex Model learning assisted by video on the science learning outcomes of the ecosystem material. The results of this study prove that there is an effect of Learning Blanded.

Multimedia is a more complex learning media, and a means of delivering messages in two or more forms. This study aims to determine the effect of 50 M freestyle swimming course using multimedia on the learning outcomes of student majoring in sports education at FIK UNP. The method used is quasi experiment. The sampling technique is done by using a random sample quota technique. The sample size for each treatment group is 10 people, so the number of samples is 20 people or 50% of the total population. The results of the data normality test calculation used the Kolmogorov Smirnov test at a significance level of 0.05, showing a significance value> 0.05, so that all sample groups in this study came from normally distributed populations. From the hypothesis test using the t test, tcount> ttable or significance ≤ α value (0.05) was produced. The conclusion of the study was the 50 M freestyle swimming course using multimedia significantly affected the learning outcomes of FIK UNP's Sport Education students.

This study aimed to determine the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on tenth grade students’ higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in ecosystem concept. The design of this study was quasi experimental research with "nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design". The population of this study was X grade students in Senior High School (SHS) Kandangan, South Kalimantan. The sample were chosen through random sampling technique. The sample will be tested for equivalence based on the data of from the report card from the first semester. The instrument of data collection is students' HOTS rubric that developed by Hart (1994) with a range of scores for each question ranging from 0 to 4. One way analysis of variance (anava) was used as hypothesis test in this study. The result showed that PBL learning model had a positive effect on HOTS. It can be seen from the average of HOTS level of control class was 28.40 and treatment class was 36,23 and seen from F value = 20.97 whereas F table = 0.05 means F arithmetic > F table.
