Nowadays, the globalization era makes the tourism industry got the impact of globalization. The city is as destination that become one of the components can  can attract tourists. An interesting phenomenon arises that there are many kinds of cities with various tagline. One of them is The Soul of Madura. Based on the city branding processin Sumenep city, thus representation should be concerned through branding that will be done, branding process that is done requires communication, because communication is one of branding process that is done. Besides, the researcher wants to see how the communication process in the saronen music culture in the process of branding. This research used a qualitative approach in the type of descriptive research. The object in this research was saronen music culture. The result was a communication that is created in the process of city branding at saronen music culture. It included all conceptulization, even they were one-way communication processes, interactions and transactional processes.

AbstractIndonesia is one of the countries that has also been affected by the corona virus or covid-19 which originated from China, to be precise in the city of Wuhan. In early 2020 the corona virus or covid-19 began to enter the country of Indonesia. The corona virus has had a huge impact on the lives of Indonesian people, both positive and negative impacts. Communities affected by covid-19 are increasing day after day, but now to be precise in 2021 the increase in covid-19 infections is not as fast as 2020. And the impact is slowly being controlled by both the government and most Indonesians. The Indonesian people are now able to adjust to life in the midst of this Covid-19 pandemic, even the hospitality that faded at the beginning of Covid-19 entering Indonesia is now starting to slowly be shown by the Indonesian people. This paper aims to provide information about Covid-19 in Indonesia and the Christian hospitality that should be practiced by the Indonesian people, especially believers or Christians. This research uses a qualitative approach with theological research type and social descriptive research

ABSTRACT   Pastoral Grief referred to in this study is a pastoral service to those who are grieving especially to the congregation of GMIST in the City of Manado. The pastoral duty must be carried out by Church councils in this case the Pastor, Elder and Deacon. Based on observations and interviews with Church councils, it was found that the pastoral care of grief for them only applies when a person dies and that is only a consolation and funeral service. Even though talking about grief does not only apply to people whose closest relatives die. This prompted researchers to conduct further research on Church councils in the  GMIST congregation of Musafir Manado City. This study aims to find out how the understanding and practice of special servants about the task of the Pastoral Grief service and what the impact of the service results and the meaning obtained for the development of the Grief Pastoral service for Church councils in the congregation of GMIST Musafir in Manado. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods which will describe in full the purpose of the study so that it is expected to get valid and scientific results about the understanding of special servants regarding Pastoral Grief.

This study examines the ways in which the city image of Istanbul is re-created through the mega-events within the context of the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) 2010. Istanbul “took the stage” as one of the three ECoC cities (Essen for the Ruhr in Germany and Pécs in Hungary), where the urban spaces were projected as the theatre décor while residents and visitors became the spectators of the events. Organisers and agents of the ECoC 2010 seemed to rebrand Istanbul as a “world city” rather than a “European capital”. With a series of transnational connotations, this can be considered as part of an attempt to turn Istanbul to a global city. In this study we examine posters used during the ECoC 2010 to see whether this was evident in the promoted images of Istanbul. The research employs a hermeneutic approach in which representations, signs and language are the means of symbolic meaning, which is analysed through qualitative methods for the visual data (Visual Analysis Methods), namely Semiotics and Discourse Analysis. The analysed research material comes from a sample of posters released during the ECoC 2010 to promote 549 events throughout the year. Using stratified random sampling we have drawn 28 posters (5% of the total) reflecting the thematic groups of events in the ECoC 2010. Particular attention is also paid to the reflexivity of the researchers and researchers’ embeddedness to the object of research. The symbolic production and visual representation are therefore investigated firstly through the authoritative and historically constituted discourses in the making of Istanbul image and secondly through the orders of cultural consumption and mediatisation of culture through spectacular events. Hence enforcing a transnationalisation of the image of the city where the image appears to be almost stateless transcending the national boundaries. Findings and methodology used in this study can be useful in understanding similar cases and further research into the processes of city and place branding and image relationships.

AbstractIn this paper we discuss the SKPD Filing Unit Employee Perception of the Regional Archival Information System Application (SIKEDA) and the Regional Archival Information Network (JIKEDA) in  the City Government of Bukittinggi. The purpose of this study is to determine the competence and optimal shield of SKPD employees in inputting files to the SIKEDA application.This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The location of this study was carried out in 5 SKPD Institutions in Bukittinggi, namely: (1) the Library and Archives Office of Bukittinggi City, (2) the Education and Culture Office of the City of Bukittinggi, (3) the Youth and Sports Pariwasata Service of the City of Bukittinggi, (4) the Health Service City of Bukittinggi, (5) Social Service of the city of Bukittinggi. The object of the study was SKPD employees in five government agencies in the city of Bukittinggi. Writing this paper aims to describe (1) To describe the optimization of the use of SIKEDA and JIKEDA applications by Admin node SIKEDA in supporting records management in the city administration of the City of Bukittinggi; (2) To describe the competencies possessed by HR in SKPD in utilizing information technology in the application of SIKEDA and JIKEDA applications in the City Government of Bukittinggi.Data was collected by observation and direct interviews with SKPD employees in the Bukittinggi city government and literature studies in the application of electronic records in the government of the City of Bukittinggi.Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that the First Employee in the SKPD in the City Government of Bukittinggi is still not optimal in inputting the archive to the sikeda Second application.iKeywords: optimization, competence, electronic archives.

Problems of efficiency of tourism development for the urban economy should be considered on the basis of a systematic approach, which involves the establishment of different criteria and indicators for different levels of government, as well as a hierarchy of goals and corresponding efficiency criteria. Based on the analysis, the article summarizes the concept of "tourist potential of the city". It is determined that the main components of tourist potential are resource, economic and social potential. The main methods of determining the tourist potential are identified, including expert, comparative, cartographic, technological, aesthetic methods of analysis. The directions of tourism impact on the economy of the territory are considered. Direct and indirect effects, as well as induced effects of tourism development are considered separately. The interrelation and interaction of different spheres of the city economy and tourism are shown. In the analysis it is necessary to consider significant sectors of the urban economy: hotel, construction, catering, retail, tour operators, industry, wholesale, housing and communal services, communications, transport, insurance and banking, medicine, education and others. To calculate the gross tourist product, calculate the sum of all costs incurred for the production of tourist goods and services for a certain period. These are the costs of tourist consumption, private and public tourism investments. In addition, calculate the amount of all income from the sale of tourist goods and services for a certain period. This income from the sale of tourist goods and services, income from renting rooms, apartments, etc. The use of a multiplier to determine the impact of tourism development on the city economy is proposed. The calculation of tourism multipliers involves determining the total income from the tourism industry and related infrastructure. Comprehensive assessment allows to identify the economic level of tourism development in the territory, the effect, and is also the basis for justification and management decisions. The study showed that in the modern scientific literature there are several types of multipliers. These are multipliers of income, employment, investment, commercial operations, production and sales. The foreign experience of assessment of social and economic effects from the development of the tourist sphere is analyzed and the possibility of its use in the conditions of Ukraine is substantiated. Objective The study describes the pentahelix model in tourism development in the city of Semarang. The problem is the lack of optimal cooperation between the actors involved. Theory uses the Policy Actor Theory and the Pentahelix Model. Descriptive research type, qualitative approach. Data is collected through: interview, observation and literature. Determination of informants with Snowball technique and key informants Head of the Department of Tourism and Culture of the city of Semarang. Data analysis by means of: data condensation, data verification and conclusion drawing. Data validation uses source triangulation. From the research it can be seen: (1) tourism development in Semarang city using pentahelix model, has involved academics, government, community, business, and mass media (2) Field findings are the Semarang City Tourism Promotion Agency (BP2KS) is not optimal and (3) Cooperation between the pentahelix model actors in the city of Semarang from the results of the research is not optimal. Research recommendations: revised the tourism regulation of Semarang city concerning "collaboration between actors, strengthening the institutional capacity of BP2KS, and subsequent researchers are advised to take the focus of research with different loci or make comparisons with the same focus.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic occurred, Indonesia's tourism development had a strategic meaning when viewed from multiple aspects. However, in March 2020, the condition has now turned around. Tourism is one of the hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, including tourism in Singkawang City, Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Singkawang City's tourism political policy in dealing with the impact of Covid-19. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The researcher collected primary and secondary data through interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out in systematic stages, starting from presenting the data that had been collected, summarizing, and making conclusions. The researcher found that the tourism policy of Singkawang City in dealing with the impact of Covid-19 was implemented through the Regional Representative Council on the new normal economy; refocusing budget reallocation; the implementation of leading tourism events according to health protocols; implementation of cross-unit coordination and application of managerial interpretation; and operations utilizing information technology, digital platforms, and online applications. In today's competitive global environment, cities are striving to stand out and be attractive to investors, visitors, and residents. City branding is an important tool to differentiate the city from its competitors and to be preferred by visitors. Every city has its own characteristics resulting from its historical development, the influence of its geography, and its social, cultural, and economic past. Therefore, the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of cities is vital for their promotion and branding. This study aims to show the importance of their cultural heritage, which is the most fundamental feature to differentiate themselves from their competitors in city branding. It is emphasized that the cultural events organized in cities or the assets specific to cities, most of which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, have a significant impact on city branding. In addition, the chapter explains the impact of digitalization, which is one of the most important developments of our time, on city branding and cultural heritage.

The purpose of the research in IIS to know and analyze the impact of the haze on the performance of business traders market. This research belongs to the type of descriptive research. Descriptive research that aims to describe, describe and analyse existing events and aims to obtain information about the impact of haze in accordance with existing theories. Data collection method through dissemination of questionnaires and questions answered. The population in this study is the market merchant of Rengat City. Determination of sample count of 100 respondents/market trader. The data analysis technique used to analyze this research data is to be descriptively used statistical analysis in the form of a percentage formula because its purpose is to see the trend of the indicators of each variable and the research is only aimed to describe the reality in the field is not to be seen relations or comparisons. In this study, researchers used Likert measurement scales. The Likert scale relates to a statement about a person's attitude toward something.  The results of this study can be concluded that: (1) The health of the market traders of the city of Rengat is interrupted because of the thick haze that affects the trading activity itself. (2) The income of market traders in the city of Rengat is decreasing due to declining people's desire to shop in the market due to the worry of being exposed to haze which can cause ISPA disease and other health disorders. (3) The market environment of the Rengat is affected by the smoke of the daily Trader's life. Usually traders have already held their trades starting from the beginning of the morning, because the haze of most traders often come late to the market (overdo). (3) The education of students from the family of market traders in the city of Rengat is also affected by the haze so that it must be dissolved until normal weather conditions are back. Because of this, students have a lot of missed material and have to force themselves to pursue the lag by adding hours and learning tasks that are much beyond the student's thinking capacity.

Globalization led to tough competition among cities around the world to win the competition toattract visitors and increase investment. Therefore, not only the company, the cities are also struggling tocreate uniqueness to gain an advantage in competition. It is very important to communicate the competitiveadvantages owned by these cities to the public and all parties to ensure the achievement of objectives. Citybranding is a method used to re-brand the city as identification which is expected to reflect the advantages aswell as its uniqueness. Therefore, in 2013 Shining Batu was introduced as a city brand wich expected to bereflect the competitive advantage of Batu City. The purpose of this study is to reveal aspects of the competitiveadvantages Batu City; strategies that are used in communicating it; as well as how big the impact of thecommunication strategy for the visitors Batu City. The paradigm of this research is qualitatively by case studydesign. Data were obtained by interview and documentation. The results showed that the Batu City has threeinterrelated aspects superior to one another that supports the creation of competitive advantages: geographicand agricultural sectors are packed in the development of the tourism sector. At the same time, the governmentdeveloped the program as a means of communicating Shining Batu and reflects the benefits of the city to thepublic. Shining Batu communicated through various forms of promotion that utilizes a wide variety ofcommunication tools; a variety of Tour Package; and held aa variety of routine and incidental events.Questionnaire showed that aim to dominate the number of respondents traveled, which consists of a visitor,where recreational tourist attractions types over a favorite choice than any natural attractions. Hotel is a topchoice for a place to stay. Most visitors make a visit to Batu City more than once.
