An important condition for the effective functioning of business entities of all forms of ownership in modern conditions of uncertainty and environment instability is the correct assessment of market conditions and opportunities in short- and long-term perspectives. The article aims to analyse modern methodological approaches to assess the competitiveness of enterprises to identify and justify possible aspects of their improvement considering the specifics of the functioning of domestic research objects. The research’s methodology based on domestic and foreign scientific works, leading experts’ opinions, statistical data, and public authorities’ analytical materials. The results were obtained by using expert methods – to investigate the impact of market factors and resource potential on light industry enterprises competitiveness; economic and mathematical methods – to calculate the integral indicator of the enterprise competitiveness; abstract-logic method – to theoretical generalization and formulation of conclusions. In determining the integral indicator of enterprise competitiveness, the method of taxonomic analysis was used with additional consideration of the specific weight of each factor influence on an integral indicator of enterprise competitiveness. In determining the specific impact of the indicators on the integrated indicator of the industrial enterprises’ competitiveness, the external experts’ views involved in the industry, their qualification competencies, and the level of fluctuations in the middle of the study group were considered. It was revealed that the existence of an enterprise could be considered objectively justified if it produces goods needed from the public point of view and uses resources within the qualitatively and quantitatively defined by society. Therefore, it was proposed to allocate eight levels of competitiveness, considering the technological and resource armament to grade the light industry enterprises'' competitiveness.

Introduction. Investment and innovation activities can provide not only the functioning and growth, but also the development of business entities that are in line with the Strategy of Ukraine 2020 and adopted for implementation of the innovation and investment model of economic development. Management decisions as for the increase of the rate of investment and innovation activity are indicated in the program document "Ukraine 2030.doctrine of balanced development". It is advisable to make such decisions on the basis of a timely and reliable assessment of the state and results. Purpose. The article aims to identify the main trends and peculiarities of the course of investment and innovation activity in the external and internal environment of industrial enterprises. Method (methodology). The investment and innovation activity of industrial enterprises depends on a large number of factors, both internal and external. Factors of the external environment are such that practically do not depend on the enterprise and its influence on them is minimal. The factors of the internal environment directly depend on the activity, organizational structure of the enterprise, etc. In the economic literature you can find a significant number of classifications of factors that affect the investment and innovation activities of the enterprise. It has been carried out the analysis of sources of financing of innovations, the share of financing of capital investments at the expense of own funds of the enterprise in the total amount of sources of financing and at the expense of depreciation deductions of the enterprise; indicators of product updates. The specific weight of investments in innovation in total capital, in equity, has been determined; the share of research and development expenditures in the total amount of expenses for innovation, expenses for machinery, equipment and software, connected with the introduction of innovations in the total amount of expenses for innovation; the share of own and budgetary investments in technological innovations in the total amount of expenses for innovation; the share of investments of domestic and foreign investors in the total amount of expenses for innovation. Results. The main tendencies and features of the course of investment and innovation activity in the internal environment of industrial enterprises have been revealed. The obtained values of the indicators reflecting the peculiarities of the course of investment and innovation activity of enterprises have proven that the general tendency of investment and innovation activity for all analysed enterprises emphasizes the insufficient attention to the results of investment and innovation activities that impede their development and competitive opportunities. SWOT-analysis of investment and innovation activity of regional industrial enterprises at the microeconomic level has been conducted. The main disadvantages have been determined. They are the out-dated fixed assets, lack of certainty of the company regarding long-term benchmarks and strategies for its development, lack of own funds required for innovation-oriented investment projects at enterprises, low level of solvency of enterprises, lack of competence of specialists for successful investment and innovation activities.

Introduction. Threshing is a multifactorial process which is affected, in particular, by the feedrate of the crop, the specific weight of the threshed grain and return, separation rates, weediness and moisture of the crop. From this point of view, the issues of optimizing the profile of the transporter cut, which allows for threshing and separation with the least effort, are also relevant. It was also experimentally established that the threshing process is affected by the volume of grain material delivered per second (second feed) and the unit velocity.Materials and Methods. The studies were conducted on a test bench equipped with a threshing-separating device in the form of a single-cavity hyperboloid. When performing the work, the width of the drum was divided into three zones, and the length – into five cells. Wheat grain, obtained through threshing and separation in each zone and cell, came to individual containers. Straw was collected separately. Then, the grain and straw were weighed. The resulting data was processed by statistical and mathematical methods.Research Results. The lengths of each cell were calculated based on the ratio of the total separation and the amount of grain mass per unit length. The lengths of each cell were calculated depending on changes in humidity. Indicators of the ratio between mass humidity and cell length are presented in the form of a table. By the given table values for different moisture levels of the grain mass, graphs were constructed, each of which was described by a mathematical model considering the drum length and width. An averaged cut profile is presented for the treated plant mass with humidity of 8%, 12%, 16%, 20%, and 24%.Discussion and Conclusions. Analysis of the data in this paper and earlier ones provides the comparison of the graphic expression of the dependences of the transporter cut profile on the second volume and humidity of the grain mass entering it. It has been established that the cut profile curves are identical along the entire length of the drum. The confidence factor is close to 1, which indicates the accuracy of the model. The identity of the averaged cut profiles is obviously dependent on moisture of the plant mass and on the second feed.

T he development of efficient interfirm interactions for the sustainable development of particular business entities and their strategic structures calls for special tools and management methods in the context of economy’s digitalization driven by a wider openness of economic systems and more extensive network development. This determines the demand for a methodology designed to evaluate the interfirm interactions to improve their efficiency under the digital transformation of the social and economic system. The purpose of the study is to develop methodological tools to measure the efficiency of the interfirm interactions, and these tools can be derived from identifying and analyzing the factors contributing into the result-focused exploitation of the information communication technologies. The authors hypothesize that a model of efficient interfirm interactions is defined by its three components: interaction strategy; availability of the resources for interfirm interactions (information communication technologies); resource management. The article analyzes evaluation approaches to interfirm interactions to identify a number of shared features and to systematize efficiency factors. The heads of the industrial enterprises were surveyed, and the motivation factors for the business entities to develop their interfirm interactions were defined: 1) lower risks of contracting liabilities; 2) better coordination of entities’ activities. A multi-factor model of digitalization factors which affect the efficiency of interfirm interactions is developed. This model complements theoretical methods which describe the impact of digital technologies on the relationships between firms and will contribute into their sustainable economic development. A matrix of firms’ strategy types has been derived from their exploitation of information communication technologies. It describes the strategies of involvement, awareness, monitoring, and integration. The authors came to conclusion that the development of the information communication resources is turned out to be fundamental for the integration and the key factor to shape and to develop the efficient interfirm interactions in modern economy. A further research is seen to be in developing a tool and algorithm based approach to examine the behavioral strategies for the business entities so that to define their status in the interfirm interactions and to develop measures aimed to increase the efficiency of interfirm interactions with regard to forecasted digitalization.

When choosing effective tactical and strategic decisions by business entities, it is necessary to take into account the interests of stakeholders. From the point of view of increasing competitiveness, the main importance should be given to competitors, as the most important external stakeholders. Competitors have directly opposite interests to the analyzed economic entities and have a negative impact on their activities, therefore, conflict situations arise. In this paper, we propose a method for selecting effective solutions, taking into account the interests of competitors as the most important stakeholders. The proposed methodology can be used in the analysis of systems for various purposes and includes the formation of the goals of the analyzed object, the identification and selection of competitors and the formulation of strategies of the parties to the conflict. The efficiency matrix is formed using the efficiency functions and the antagonism condition of the analyzed objects. The choice of effective solutions is made by choosing the principle of optimality. A special feature of the proposed methodology is the complex application of theories: competition theory, stakeholder theory, and antagonistic game theory. The proposed methodology can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of systems for various purposes: industrial enterprises, commercial organizations, investment projects, research organizations, etc.

The active economic transformations, caused by the global financial crisis, prompted many business entities to reconsider their positions in planning the indicators of various spheres of their activities (from production to management) both in the current and strategic perspective, focusing not only on personal achievements and world experience, but also actual trends within a particular type of activity. Accordingly, the effectiveness of detection and analysis of current trends inherent in a particular sphere of the economy depends on the efficiency of the economic entities functioning located there. The study of the innovation management issue was conducted on the example of enterprises of the agro-industrial complex in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2010-2016. At the same time, probabilistic forecasts for 2017-2018 were compiled. The following methods were used for the research: analytical, graphic, economic-mathematical and abstract-logical. As a result of the study, the following conclusions were obtained: in the period from 2012 to 2016, the activity of the economic entities of the Russian Federation increased substantially (by more than 35%) in the aspect of modernizing their management processes; the actual tendencies of innovation management at the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2012-2016 were: increased emphasis on the introduction of managerial innovations with a minimum payback period (no more than one year); activation of the development of original managerial innovations by involving the human resources of agro-industrial enterprises; implementation of the developed managerial innovations only with the involvement of professional consultants. In the resultant part of the study, in order to improve the efficiency of innovation management, it was suggested to approach the issue of studying the above-mentioned trends more comprehensively and plan its activities taking into account the nature of their progress, as well as the impact of a complex of factors of the external and internal environment.
