Learning media is important for the continuity of learning activities so that these activities jave variations that make students not bored. One of them is with android-based learing media. The android-based learning media is form of alignment in the field of education with advances in the field of technologu. This study aims to produce android-based learning media as a form of learning variation in exposition texts. In addition, this study also aims to see student responses to android-based learning applications. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with interview techniques. The object of this research is an application that is organized according to the subject matter and also a review of this android-based learning application. The results of this study indicate that this android-based learning media application has good feasibility to be used as a variation of new learning media in Indonesian lessons.Keywords: Media, learning, android, text, exposition

This study is based on the existence of learning activities that are less responsive to various individual characteristics. To meet these demands, teachers need to understand students' characteristic. If the teacher in delivering the lesson material less attention to the characteristics of the students and the personality traits of students is not used as a foothold in learning, students will have difficulty understanding the subject matter. Whatever efforts are chosen and performed by the teacher and the lesson designer if they are not based on individual characteristics of the student as subject of learning, then the developed learning will not be meaningful for the students. Characteristics of students is very important to know by educators, because it is very important to be a reference in formulating learning strategies. Learning strategy is developed by teachers and implemented through learning methods to the students so that the learning objectives can be achieved effectively and efficiently. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach and data collection techniques used are interview, observation, and documentation in SDN Cikokol 2.

The study aims at knowing the improvement of students science activities through contextual approach  at grade V in SDK Colol II Manggarai regency. The study was a classroom action research (CAR). The subject of the study was grade V consist of 19 students. The methods to collect the data were observation, interview and documentation. The data were analyzed through qualitative descriptive method. The result was, based on the analysis, learning achievement in cycle I was 60,08% in category 'quite active'. Then it was improved in cycle II to 88,8% with category 'very good'. In conclusion, the application of contextual approach can improve students learning activities. Terrorism is a transnational crime most feared by the world, not to mention Indonesia. Already many who became victims of terrorism crimes one of the tragedy is the bom Bali that link hundreds of souls. In Indonesia, especially in Riau continue to spread terrorism prevention efforts so terrorism crime does not occur in Riau Province. Prevention needs to be done considering the province of Riau began as a transit area of ​​terrorism because it is a region. The purpose of this research is to know what is done by Ditrekrimum Polda Riau in doing prevention of terrorism.The research conducted on Polda Riau which is located at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman no. 215 Pekanbaru, with the subject of research is Ditreskrimum Polda Riau and the result of his research is the prevention of terrorism in Riau Province by Ditreskrimum Polda Riau. The method used is qualitative research method with data technique is interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive method. In this research the informant is Kasubdit 1 State Security Ditreskrimum  Polda Riau and Kanit III Subdit 1 Ditreskrimum Polda Riau, as well as one member subdit I Ditreskrimum Polda Riau, as a complementary informant to support the research information. From the results of the research can be concluded that the efforts of terrorism have fulfilled the concept of (Darmawan, 2013). One’s ability to absorb and master the subject matter is different from one another. Some are able to learn quickly, some other are slow. This may be caused by the learning styles and also some aspects both from within and from outside. The purpose of this study was to find out what learning styles adopted by the students of STKIP Purnama, especially those who already work in both at school and in other institutions and also to identify the factors that influence the students’ learning activities. This research method applied were observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that learning style that is applied by students STKIP Purnama, especially those who already work, is the auditory and visual learning styles. A total of 15 respondents applying auditory learning style, while 5 respondents applying visual learning style.Keywords : learning materials, learning style

  This research intends to examine the use of cooperative learning models in Christian Religious Education (PAK) subjects to increase the learning interest of students of class XI IPS 3 SMAN 1 Kupang. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods. Informants are 26 students and 1 PAK teacher. The results revealed that there was a positive response from learners when learning in the classroom was conveyed using the cooperative learning model. This is indicated by indicators: students feel comfortable and happy to follow learning using the cooperative learning model, there is attention from students when the subject matter is delivered using the cooperative learning model as a support to motivate students to be interested in learning activities, students are so interested in following learning by using the cooperative learning model because they get assignments and opportunities to become leaders (leaders) for students. Friends in the group, students are able to remember the material that has been delivered through the cooperative learning model because in group learning they help each other find the material discussed, students can understand the subject matter delivered through the cooperative learning model, as well as the growing interest in learning students when learning materials are delivered using the cooperative learning model. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk meneliti penggunaan model cooperative learning pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMAN 1 Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Informan yaitu 26 orang siswa-siswi dan 1 orang guru PAK. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat respon positif dari peserta didik saat pembelajaran di kelas yang di sampaikan dengan menggunakan model cooperative learning. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan indikator: siswa merasa nyaman dan senang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model cooperative learning, adanya perhatian dari siswa ketika materi pelajaran disampaikan menggunakan model cooperative learning sebagai pendukung untuk memotivasi siswa agar berminat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, siswa begitu tertarik mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model cooperative learning karena mereka mendapat tugas dan kesempatan untuk menjadi ketua (pemimpin) bagi teman-teman dalam kelompok, siswa mampu mengingat materi yang telah disampaikan melalui model cooperative learning karena dalam pembelajaran kelompok mereka saling membantu menemukan materi yang dibahas, siswa dapat memahami materi pelajaran yang disampaikan melalui model cooperative learning, serta bertumbuhnya minat belajar siswa ketika materi pembelajaran disampaikan menggunakan model cooperative learning.

This study aims to examine the development of the management of the Employee Cooperatives of the Republic of Indonesia (KPRI) in Lumajang Regency. Where some cooperatives can run well and achieve achievements that can be proud of, some others are less well developed, some have problems, some KPRI are no longer active. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, the research method uses interview methods and documentation. Also supported by a literature review that is relevant to the subject matter. This study provides a systematic  overview of the management of KPRI in Lumajang Regency as it is. From several KPRI in Lumajang Regency, there are KPRI-KPRI that can carry out their roles and functions significantly in the welfare of their members. But there are some KPRI that are not healthy and finally can not work anymore. Of the 57 KPRI who are still active as many as 46 KPRI, the remaining 11 are not active. The main contributing factor is being unable to overcome the risk of trying. Thus, managers are required to be able to implement risk management in running cooperatives, by minimizing risk, transferring risk, controlling risk and risk funding.

AbstrakMasalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu Batik Tanah Liek Citra Monalisa mengangkat dan mengembangkan kembali Batik Tanah Liek yang dulu sempat punah dengan cara membuat kembali motif-motif yang memang sudah menjadi ciri khas dari  Minangkabau. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang bentuk motif Batik Liek Citra Monalisa. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis data berupa data primer dan skunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknikanalisa data dilakukan model interaktif yang berkaitan dengan pokok permasalahan yaitu dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu Motif  Tanah Liek  Citra Monalisa dianataranya motif alam benda meliputi motif Rumah Gadang, Jam Gadang, Tabuik, Kapal Malin Kundang dan Rangkiang.  Motif flora meliputi motif Sirih Gadang, Bungo Melati dan Bungo Rayo. Motif fauna meliputi motif Kabau Padati dan Burung Hong.Kata Kunci: motif batik, tanah like.AbstractThe problem in this study is the Citra Liek Batik Monalisa raised and redeveloped the Tanah Liek Batik which used to be extinct by making motifs that had become the hallmark of Minangkabau. The aim of the study was to describe the shape of the Batik Liek Citra Monalisa motif. The method of research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Types of data in the form of primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Techniques of data analysis carried out interactive models related to the subject matter, namely by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study were the Monalisa Image Liek Motif, which included natural motifs of objects including the motifs of the Gadang House, Gadang Clock, Tabuik, Malin Kundang Ship and Rangkiang. Flora motifs include Sirih Gadang motifs, Bungo Melati and Bungo Rayo. The fauna motif includes the Kabau Padati and Hong Bird motifs.  Keywords: batik motif, liek soil.

The research aim was to find out the improvement of biology achievement of the tenth grade students of science class at SMA Negeri 3 Lubuklinggau. The research method used was Classroom Action Research. The population was all of the tenth grade students of science class. The sampling technique was purposive sampling technique with 32 students as the samples. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and tests. The data were analyzed both through quantitative and qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the students achievement was improved indicated by initial percentage 37%, cycle I 43,75 % to 59,37 % in cycle II. The data of students learning activities were collected from some parameters such as students' activities, response, cooperation, responsibilities, tolerances, and diligence with the average score in cycle I only 62,03 and it was improved in cycle II to 79,53. In conclusion, discovery learning model could improve students' learning achievements and students' learning activities. Keywords: students achievement, model discovery learning

AbstrakMasalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu pentingnya strategi produk dalam menjalankan sebuah usaha agar mampu bertahan dan bersaing  dengan perusahaan lain yang sejenis dalam kondisi persaingan yang ketat dan perkembangan zaman yang sangat cepat. Strategi produk sangat diperlukan dalam mememenuhi tuntutan konsumen seperti meningkatkan kualitas, menciptakan merek, pelayanan serta jaminan terhadap produk yang ditawarkan agar usaha mampu berkembang. Limpapeh”s Kebaya adalah usaha yang sedang berkembang dan telah mampu memasarkan produk bordirnya hingga menembus pasar ekspor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi produk bordir di Limpapeh”s Kebaya, Kapalo Koto, Koto Tangah Simalanggang, Kota Payakumbuh. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriftif kualitatif, jenis data berupa data primer dan  sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisa model interaktif yang berkaitan dengan pokok permasalahan yaitu dengan model reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu strategi produk yang dilakukan di Limpapeh”s Kebaya adalah dimulai dari menciptakan produk bordir yang berkualitas, desain motif bordir yang up to date dan kreatif, menyediakan ukuran yang special, memberi merek pada produk bordir, memberi kemasan yang menarik (paperbag) dan serbaguna, pelayanan yang cepat, tepat dan ramah serta pemberian jaminan terhadap produk border.Kata Kunci: strategi produk, pelayanan, bordir. AbstractThe problem in this study is the importance of product strategy in running a business in order to be able to survive and compete with other similar companies in conditions of intense competition and very rapid development of the times. Product strategy is very necessary in fulfilling consumer demands such as improving quality, creating brands, services and guarantees for products offered so that businesses are able to grow. Limpapeh's Kebaya is a growing business and has been able to market its embroidery products to penetrate the export market. This study aims to describe the strategy of embroidery products in Limpapeh's Kebaya, Kapalo Koto, Koto Tangah Simalanggang, Payakumbuh City. The research method uses qualitative descriptive method, the type of data in the form of primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out with interactive model analysis techniques that are related to the subject matter, namely with a model of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the research, namely the product strategy carried out at Limpapeh's Kebaya, are started from creating quality embroidery products, up-to-date and creative embroidery motifs, providing special sizes, giving brands to embroidery products, giving attractive packaging (paperbag) and versatile, fast, precise and friendly service and guarantee of embroidery products. ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to give understanding and clear explanation about teaching students’ listening skill by English video. Commonly, teaching listening through tape recorder, but in this research teacher shows different way, video is collaboration between pictures and sound components, and it contains a recording of a movie or television program. Students can be able to know the activity or a topic being discussion through visual aid and knowing the pictures expression clearly, this way can help students to get clear information both pronunciations and expression. Grade VIII of SMPN 15 Tangerang with total number is 20 students and 10 English teachersas the subject of the research.  Qualitative descriptive method is applied in this research to explain teaching process through video clearly, however, literature and questionnaere with close answer form is given to get the data. The result of this research are: firstly, teaching listening skill through video can be used by the teacher to make a listening class is more enjoyable and understandable, because audio visual aid can cover students various learning style, finally at the end of teaching and listening process the objectives of study can be gained. Secondly; teaching listening through video is very useful way to encourage and foster students’ listening skill and their interest.      Keywords: Using Video, Listening skill, teaching listening
