Along with disrupted speech fluency, people who stutter often develop a fear of speaking or fear of social situations that may lead to the emergence of social anxiety disorder. This has been the subject of numerous studies during recent decades, and specific questionnaires have been developed to assess relationships between stuttering and anxiety. The Unhelpful Thoughts and Beliefs About Stuttering (UTBAS) Questionnaire (St Clare et al. 2009) was developed recently and has been applied to evaluate the frequency and belief in thoughts about stuttering and the degree of anxiety induced by such thoughts. The aim of our preliminary study was to test the Croatian translation of the UTBAS (UTBAS-C) on people who stutter and those who do not stutter and to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between these two groups, i.e. whether people who stutter are more socially anxious than people who do not stutter. Participants were 16 adults who stutter and 16 controls with normal fluence, aged 18-40 years. Because the results were not distributed normally, all data were analyzed with a non-parametric statistical method. The results showed a statistically significant difference between adults who stutter and those who do not. People who stutter had higher total scores on the Questionnaire, i.e. they are more socially anxious or have more negative thoughts and beliefs regarding speech-related situations than fluent adults. The results of our preliminary study are not unexpected and are consistent with most previous studies on the relationship between stuttering and anxiety. However, as there is a lack of specific instruments in the Croatian language that can be used in diagnosing adults who stutter, especially their attitudes and emotions, our translation of and further research on the UTBAS should help to fill that absence. This study should also alert clinicians working with adults who stutter of the importance and influence of attitudes and beliefs on therapy outcome.

Mastery of concepts is still the main standard of learning success in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze students' conceptual mastery of colloidal material through the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model. The research method used is the Pre-Experiment method with the research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The number of subjects in this study were 18 students. Data were collected using 25 multiple choice items used for pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed through normality test, t test and N-gain using SPSS version 21 for windows. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest score (39.7) and posttest score (74.4) (p<0.05) with the N-gain value obtained was 0.56. This means that there is an increase in the medium category in students' concept mastery through RADEC learning.

Summary The authors have evaluated the combined track-and-field events performed by the female students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Comenius University in Bratislava (CU FPES) in the years 2013 – 2017. The combined track-and-field events are an obligatory part of the final Athletics examination in the teacher-training study program. The selected disciplines reflect the first day of the men’s decathlon with the exception of the last one, which is replaced by 800 m. The number of points in the combined event enters into the overall assessment of the subject Didactics of Athletics II together with an oral examination. The authors analysed not only the total number of points in the pentathlon but also in the individual disciplines and their percentage share in the final result. They have discovered that the shot put and high jump are among the most stable disciplines. The greatest variance of the percentage share in the overall number of points was observed in the 100 m dash, 800 m and in the long jump. The performance of a high number of students (almost two-thirds) came below the average performance in the particular year as expressed in points.

This study aims to improve students' ability to use software in analyzing Statistics data, especially experimental data with the help of Student Worksheets (LKM). This research was conducted at the Mathematics Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, on students who were taking the Experimental Design course. The design in this study was a one-group pretest-posttest design, by applying Problem Based Learning. The results of the study showed that the majority of students thought that the use of LKM really helped improve students' understanding of the Experimental Design course. This can be seen also from the average posttest score (82.47) which is higher than the average pretest (65.36). The t test also showed that the increase in the mean pretest to posttest was significant with a p value of 0.000 which was smaller than the 5% significance level. This means that the average student posttest score is higher than the average pretest score.

Various ways and efforts have provided by Speaking lecturers to increase students’ motivation, especially in Speaking. However, based on a preliminary study, researchers found that students' speaking motivation was still considered insufficient. For that, the researcher applied a game, namely Crazy Story. The purpose of this study was to see how students’ motivation who were taught and not taught using Crazy Story Game and to find out whether there was a significant difference between students’ motivation who were taught and not taught using Crazy Story Game. This research was an experimental research. This type of research was a quasi-experimental study using an unequal group design. This study consisted of two groups, namely experimental and control group. The population of this study were students of the third semester of the English Education Study Program. Two groups (classes) of students consisted of 60 people were taken as samples using cluster random sampling. The two groups of students were both given a questionnaire to see their motivation in speaking before and after implementing Crazy Story Game. The data collection techniques were questionnaire and observation. Questionnaire was used to determine students’ motivation in speaking English. Meanwhile, observation was used to see the learning process of Speaking by using Crazy Story Game. From the research findings, it was obtained that the Speaking Motivation data of students who joined the experimental class increased by 4.75%. Meanwhile, students’ speaking motivation who joined the control class only increased by 0.98%. The result of data analysis from T-test was 2.028. This result was compared with the t table with a df (Degree of Freedom) level of 78, namely 1.99. Because t count t table (2.028 ≥ 1.99) and the significance was (0.046 0.05), H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The researcher concluded that there was a significant difference between students’ motivation those who were taught and not taught using Crazy Story Game.
