Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic requires lecturers to provide a stimulus that can increase student learning independence. However, not all lecturers and students are ready to carry out online learning, as a result, the anxiety factor for students is getting higher. In some studies, it is said that anxiety has a negative correlation with student self-concept. This study aims to find out how the mathematics self-concept (MSC), mathematics anxiety (MA), and mathematics learning independence (MSRL) of students are during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is quantitative descriptive. The population of this study was active students in the Mathematics and Mathematics Education study program. Data were collected using a cross-sectional survey technique with cluster sampling. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis, Spearman correlation analysis, and ordinal regression analysis. The results showed that the average student had a positive MSC, MA, and moderate MSRL. Students with negative MSC had a significant tendency to have a high MSRL than students with positive MSC. The increasing probability of students with negative MSC having a high MSRL is 0.5110 times better than students with positive MSC. MSC and MA have an effect of 7.9% on changes in the student's MSRL variable. Thus, during the Covid-19 pandemic mathematics self-concept directly affects changes in student learning independence, but not with math anxiety.

The purpose of this study was to find out students' math anxiety levels and compare math anxiety levels between semesters. This research was conducted because of the impact of online lectures during the pandemic era, namely the decrease in student achievement in all mathematics courses. This research was conducted in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program of Tribuana Kalabahi University. The research method used is a quantitative research method with a comparative approach. The subjects of this study were 157 students who were in semesters 2 and 4. The instrument used in this study was the Revised-Mathematics Anxiety Survey (R-MAX) developed by Bursal and Paznokas. In this study, the instrument feasibility test is still conducted using the validity of the content and reliability test of the instrument. This instrument is declared valid in content according to mathematicians. In addition, the instrument is declared reliable using the Cronbach Alpha method with a reliability coefficient of 0.911. The results showed that students' math anxiety levels were at moderate levels. Cumulatively, 71.3% of students had moderate to very high anxiety disorders. Further comparative test results using independent t-tests showed that there was no difference in the average student math anxiety score based on semester class. Special attention is needed from the University considering the impact of student anxiety on learning achievements and pedagogic competencies in the future. Keywords: online learning, student math anxiety.

This research is conducted by the low mathematics critical thinking ability of students in junior high schools, especially in  VII grade .Students of VII grade commonly are transitioning from elementary school to junior high school could be a reason how low students of VII grade on mathematic critical thingking ability. The low ability mathematics critical thingking one of caused by mathematics anxiety. This study aims to find a relationship between math anxiety and mathematics critical thinking ability of VII grade at SMPN 5 Serang City. The method of this research is quantitative descriptive by making 110 students from VII grade as a sample. The data were collected using questionnaire and test. The result of this study indicate that 1) the ammount of correlation between math anxiety with critical thingking ability is -0,5991> rs table 0,1695, which means there is a significant and negative relationship between anxiety and critical thingking ability 2) the average of students’s mathematics critical thingking ability is different where score between students with low anxiety have a better score than student with mid anxiety and low anxiety, and students with mid anxiety have a better score than students with high anxiety, and students with mid anxiety have a better score than students with high anxiety.

This research conducted caused by students' score at class X MIPA 4 very low in the vector material. The avarage of score of the daily test obtained by students was 60,5 and it had not yet reached mastery learning. One of the efforts to improve learning outcomes was to use powerpoint as a learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in activity and mathematics learning outcomes on vector material in learning using PowerPoint. This research design used the classroom action research. The research subjects were 36 students of class X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau in the 2019/2020 academic year. Data collected by using tests and observations. The test used to obtain student learning outcomes in each cycle, while observation used to determine the learning process in each cycle. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the average score of student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 62.2 and 77.3 in the second cycle. The percentage of student learning completeness in the first cycle was 52.8%, in the second cycle it was 80.6%. The percentage of improvement in student learning outcomes after being given action was 15.29%. So it can be concluded that learning mathematics by using powerpoint media can improve student learning outcomes in class X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau in the 2019/2020 academic year.

The study, entitled "Enhancing Creativity Learning Mathematics through Project Based Learning Model and Its Impact on Attitude and Learning Outcomes" conducted on students of the second semester study program Information Systems Faculty of Computer Science University of Brass. This research is motivated by the fact that the survey results indicate a lack of creativity of mathematics, consequently affect the poor attitude and mathematics learning outcomes. The study aims to analyze whether there was an effect Implementation Project Based Learning Model Learning to creativity, attitude and student results. The research method used mixmethode, where quantitative data and qualitative data presented to strengthen each other and interpreted based on the facts and findings that occurred during the study. Based on the research results obtained by the fact that the amount of influence the implementation of Project Based Learning Model Learning for Creativity, Attitude and Learning Outcomes are sinifikan. improvement of learning outcomes based on the value of the gain shows the medium category, and the response to the application of the Model Student Learning Project Based Learning is positive. Based on the findings, with the implementation of Project Learning Model Based Learning, students gain learning experience complete and intact because it is done step by step based on the concepts of mathematics to produce a project that could be used for community needs. Keywords: Learning Model Project Based Learning, Creativity, Attitudes, Learning Outcomes

In educational contexts, it is assumed that mathematical competence can be viewed as a trait. However, studies have yet to examine whether mathematical competence is actually a stable personality characteristic or rather depends on situational factors. Thus, construct validity has not yet been confirmed in this respect. The present study closes this research gap with regard to prospective pre-school teachers when measured across measurement occasions with similar situational characteristics. This study also examines the idea that math anxiety is a relevant negative predictor of mathematical competence. Both research objectives were examined using latent state-trait theory (LST) modeling, which allows for the investigation of occasion-independent and occasion-specific variability over time. The competence and anxiety of n = 354 prospective pre-school teachers were assessed twice across a period of three weeks. Results indicated no occasion-specific effects and moderate negative relations between math anxiety and all mathematical domains. The utility of LST modeling for construct validation and the investigation of complex relationships are discussed.

The present study aimed to identify the effects of metacognitive beliefs on mathematics anxiety encompassed by pre-service mathematics teachers’. The intervention role of factors such as positive beliefs was also examined. For this purpose, a total of sixty college students from the mathematics education program of one of the public universities in Indonesia were investigated through cross-sectional surveys. The data of the research were collected through a students’ self-report measure of metacognitive beliefs and mathematics anxiety. The results reveal that although there is no gender difference in metacognitive beliefs, female students are more anxious in mathematics than male students. There are no year levels of difference in metacognitive beliefs and mathematics anxiety. The result shows that metacognitive beliefs have negatively correlated with math anxiety. This study concludes that developing metacognitive beliefs helps pre-service mathematics teachers to effectively overcome mathematics anxiety. Also, enhancing cognitive confidence and controlling negative beliefs about the uncontrollability of thoughts and danger has implications as a treatment to reduce mathematics anxiety.
