Mother tongue defense is an effort to preserve the language treasures in Nusantara. Mother tongue as part of Indonesian wealth must be kept early, especially in elementary school level. If elementary school children lose their native language, it will deprive their own culture and character. Damage to language in children is a clear proof that maintaining the mother tongue is very important. Mother tongue defense in addition to strengthening in language learning can also be done through cultural diversity, maintaining ethnic identity, social adaptability, enhancing children’s sense of security and enhancing linguistic sensitivity. In addition, it needs family support, language environment in schools, language celebrations and mass media support as forming the public language.

This article aimed to promote English in elementary school students through a fun learning method, called the Fun English Camp. Several studies had been conducted to encounter the best solution to handle this issue. The researchers used PRISMA Protocol as an instrument to collect the data that has been widely used in the process of selecting relevant articles. The researchers reviewed twenty five scientific publications, related to Fun English Camp that has become an English learning approach for beginner students. Through a review of twenty five scientific publications, for instance book and journal, the researchers got scientific evidence that introduction of a learning method with the term Fun English camp has an impact on promoting language learning for elementary school children in Indonesia. Thus, the fun English camp method can be an interesting method to be applied by elementary school curriculum design in Indonesia. Keywords: English Camps, Learning Method, Fun English Learning

REGROUPING PROGRAM OF PRIMARY SCHOOL (SD) IN IMPROVING EFFECTIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY OF EDUCATION. The fact shows that the implementation of primary school level education must still receive attention, whether in the aspects of employment, finance, educational facilities and infrastructure which are still far from the desired expectations, the limited budget for education as well. The effort to improve the education budget appears to be in the current situation and condition, not yet possible to do. On the basis of that consideration, the policy of Primary School Regrouping is the most feasible effort to be done as a breakthrough step to realize efficiency and effectiveness in carrying out educational operational tasks. Judging from the public policy study the significance of the Elementary School regrouping program is to increase the success of effective and efficient primary school. While from the aspect of public interest, with the incorporation of Primary School can provide the best service to the public in the field of education. Further data obtained and the value of information that the policy of incorporation elementary school is appropriate to be implemented and has been able to create teaching and learning activities more effective and efficient. In addition, it has also been able to improve the work performance and motivation of principals and teachers in performing their duties, to improve the participation of the School Board significantly in assisting the smooth management of the school.

The research aims at 1). To describe and explain how the code and the form of code interferes in the learning process of Bahasa Indonesia, 2). Gives an overview of what factors are causing the code to be coded and mixed in code 3). Explaining whether code-coding and coding are associated with students ' achievement and level of understanding. This research uses a qualitative approach. A qualitative approach is an important approach to understanding a social phenomenon and the perspective of the individual being researched. The objective is to describe, study, and explain the phenomenon so that it can be learned and considered to help teachers and students improve the quality and outcomes of Bahasa Indonesia, especially in the school level. After the analysis of the code interfering and coding, it is hoped to assist the teacher in Indonesian language learning and students to determine the proper context in using both mother tongue and Indonesian language. If a speaker uses a language according to the context, then learning will be harmoniously intertwined between teachers and students who are taught so that they can strengthen the bonds of teachers and students and can achieve the desired learning objectives

This aim of this research is to provide an insight on English as foreign language learning at elementary school level. Since the English is learned as foreign language in Indonesia, the shifting of English in Indonesia curriculum is one of the interested research focus. It is explicitly declared in Curriculum 2013 that English is taught as an extracurricular subject in Indonesia elementary school. The government does not obligate the elementary students to learn English. The elementary schools have an opportunity to decide English to be included as a subject in the curriculum. The shifting of the government’s consideration in deciding the starting focus of English learning at junior high school level is the maturity level of learners in learning a foreign language. Dealing with the stated focus, a critical overview on the foreign language learning is conducted. Several research reported that learning a foreign language is better to be started at the early age because of the early age students are easier to imitate the new language. The way of thinking in imitating stages is assumed as the best time to start learning a foreign language. In another point, several research reported that maturity level of learners is the essential point to be considered because learning a foreign language need is not only imitating the language but also understanding the culture, combining linguistics aspects and so on. Despite the fact on the different views of scholars, both of the parties agree on the focus of learning a language is not a matter of age. The contributions of several factors are also part of the supported system in learning foreign language. In term of English foreign language learning, different age-level have to be given different learning input. An early age students should be given speaking and listening topics due to the students do not involve the critical thinking process. Meanwhile, the mature students are better to be provided reading and writing topic due to the depth thinking phase is in theirs.

Este es uno de un grupo de estudios que presentan una visión integral del quehacer pionero de la Escuela de Literatura y Ciencias del Lenguaje (ELCL) de la Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica en cuanto al desarrollo de la enseñanza comunicativa del inglés a población infantil en nuestro país. Es la reconstrucción histórica del primer proyecto de extensión, en este campo, de la ELCL, denominado Proyecto Piloto de la Enseñanza del Inglés en la Escuela Primaria Pública [1979-1987]. Se informa acerca de las dinámicas del proyecto y sus efectos en la comunidad de docentes de inglés y el estudiantado de primaria en la educación pública. This is one of several studies which present a comprehensive overview of the pioneering efforts of the Escuela de Literatura y Ciencias del Lenguaje (ELCL) at the Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica, in the development of communicative English teaching to elementary school children. Thus, our first effort is to recover the historical memory of the first outreach project developed by the ELCL for that purpose, known as the Pilot Project for the Teaching of English in Primary Public Schools [1979-1987] (Proyecto Piloto de la Enseñanza del Inglés en la Escuela Primaria Pública). Information is provided on the dynamics of the project and its impact on English teachers and students at the public elementary school level.

The article presents the conceptual foundations of dialogical competence formation in the context of Ukrainian language education of elementary school students. The author emphasizes that the ability to formulate and express their thoughts correctly is the key to success in life. It is proved that broadcasting is the main means of communication, meeting the various personal needs of people in communication. The author argues that in linguistics, language is defined as a kind of sign system that provides human thinking, communication with other people, that is, serves as a means of forming thoughts, perception of the surrounding reality, the exchange of information. Attention is drawn to the fact that since language and speech accompany a person in all activities throughout life, it is appropriate to talk about the interconnection of all activities in speech communication, that is, speech competence, which is a component of communicative. The author notes that the competence approach in education is understood as the orientation of the educational process to the formation and development of basic competencies of the individual. It is specified that competence should be understood as a real requirement for students to acquire a set of knowledge, methods of activity, experience, attitudes in a certain field of knowledge, qualities of the personality acting in society, and competence - as really formed personal qualities of the student and experience. The author emphasizes that the communicative-activity approach is one of the basic principles in the teaching of the mother tongue, under which the process of mastering the mother tongue should be carried out in the course of solving the students' oral tasks, arranged in order of increasing their complexity. It is emphasized that the principles of experimental study construction were: communicative orientation of dialogue teaching; the principle of situationalism in the teaching of first-graders in dialog speech; language training as an activity; the principle of speech and mental activity of students; the principle of individualization; gradual and systematic approach to learning dialogue. The author emphasizes the importance of the principle of communicative orientation, which involves the construction of a language learning process as a process of real communication. The prospects for further research in this area are identified.

In support of an effective and efficient learning process, teachers need to determine how to strategize in appropriate learning. One of the strategies used in foreign language learning is to use learning media, but most teachers do conventional learning without using any learning media. Song is one of the appropriate learning media in language learning especially foreign languages. The purpose of this paper is to show the benefits of using learning media for foreign language songs in foreign language learning at elementary school  so the teacher can switch to using effective learning media. The results obtained from the study of this article is that the use of songs on strengthening foreign language skills is recommended because it can help students master 2 of 4 skills, namely listening and speaking. Learners are also more motivated by the use of Song Media in learning because songs create a learning environment that is not boring. Although search websites about songs in learning are declining, but until now it is still sought and quite attractive to the public.

Language as a means of communication with interactions between people has an important role in everyday life. In this case language can be in the form of written, spoken or certain symbols which are taken to convey ideas, communication, information so that others can understand and understand. Humans are social resources, who cannot live alone and need others. With human language that can be accessed and continuously connected with each other. Universal languages, therefore, languages throughout the world are basically the same, which is determined by the variety of languages that is only understood by a group of languages. Learned from humans begins with children learning to compile talking. The language that was first obtained was referred to as mother tongue. The method used is 1) see method and 2) descriptive research method. The results showed that the first language was related to language acquisition, while the second language was related to language learning. Good acquisition of language learning, interrelated where the social environment can not be associated with the success of language acquisition in society.Keywords: language; language acquisition; first language; second language; environment
