The syndrome of emotional (professional) burnout is the state of emotional, mental exhaustion, physical exhaustion, which arises as a result of chronic stress at work. It is a result of the interaction of objective stressful environmental impacts and subjective sociopsychological characteristics of an employee. The structure, stages and indicators of burnout syndrome are theoretically analysed. The study of factors contributing to professional burnout was carried out on the staff of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) in Ukraine. It was found that about a quarter of the sample has a high integral index of burnout, which is more often manifested through depersonalization and reduction of professional and personal achievements, but emotional exhaustion is less common in our subjects. The analysis of the relationship between the indicators of emotional professional burnout and some socio-psychological indicators of the subjects in our sample showed that the most important for preventing of burnout occurrence are impulsiveness, practicality and internal intrinsic motivation. Positive correlations with burnout rates (can contribute to its emergence) are the duration of service in missions and such coping strategies as search for social support, cautious, manipulative, antisocial and aggressive actions.

Occupational burnout syndrome most often occurs among professionals of the at-risk occupations, i.e. those who work in close contact with people and have to communicate a lot and intensively with others. This group includes educational specialists (teachers, educators, psychologists), medical professionals, and sale representatives. Fatigue, weakness, lack of interest in their activities against the background of chronic stress, is well known to many people, especially workaholics, who strive to do as much as possible, resulting in emotional burnout. With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, burnout has taken on a different form due to isolation, fears for the lives and health of family members, and distance from workplaces and well-accustomed co-workers. Distance learning has created new challenges for teachers and students of HEIs. Study before quarantine was already complicated, given the heavy workload, the large volume of the curriculum, and the constant lack of free time. Working in such rhythm makes it difficult to maintain mental health and prevent emotional burnout. The professional activity of university educators is characterized by increased responsibility, a wide range of commitments and the need for continuous professional development. In addition to the educational process, the teacher is responsible for the implementation of methodological, organizational, educational and research work. The influence of stressors on a teacher’s health contributes to the emergence of the syndrome of occupational burnout. “Quarantine” factors influencing the development of occupational burnout can be assigned into two groups: organizational and psychological factors related to the novel special organization of work in quarantine; psychological factors associated with the new psychological features of the professional activity and their own subjective characteristics. To prevent the development of occupational burnout, psychologists recommend to take care of yourself; do not forget about rest; realistically estimate own capabilities and, accordingly, plan work and time; do not make unnecessary commitments; do not demand too much from yourself; work should bring joy.

This article touches on the problem of burnout, which is caused by stress in every job, and is manifested in physical and mental exhaustion, a tendency to irritation and boredom. Occurrence of burnout in a working person will be associated with individual personality traits and functioning in the workplace. The purpose of the work is to determine to what extent the studied group was affected by occupational burnout. The study was conducted on 23 female nurses working in the Psychiatric Department of the Specialist Hospital in Częstochowa. Christina Maslach's occupational burnout questionnaire was used for the purpose of the study. The questionnaire consists of 22 closed questions and two yes or no answers. Subjects completed the anonymous survey questionnaire. The entire group of respondents was examined in three aspects of burnout: emotional burnout, depersonalization and job satisfaction. The rate of emotional exhaustion was 80%, depersonalization 64%, professional satisfaction 68%. The index of occupational burnout syndrome among nurses of the Psychiatric Ward of the Specialist Hospital in Częstochowa is high. It is difficult to assess how much it threatens the functioning of individuals. There is no doubt that remedial and preventive measures should be taken as soon as possible, not only by the individual but also by the employer. Burnout can affect anyone who over-exploits their strength at work for the benefit of others, without caring for their own mental health.

The article discusses the results of the study of the dynamics of personal growth of students of a departmental university, as well as the need to study this problem in the framework of training personnel for the Federal Penitentiary System. The historical stages of the formation of the term «personal growth» are analyzed. Various approaches to the content of the concept are considered. A modern interpretation of the concept of «Personal growth» is given. It is determined that the professional personal growth of a cadet of a departmental university of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia is a dynamic process of professional development. The article analyzes the statistics of the expelled cadets for 2017-2020, which may be a consequence of the lack of dynamics of personal growth. The article describes a longitudinal study of cadets of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Ryazan. The study used a multi-level personal questionnaire. In the course of the study, data were obtained, the analysis of which can lead to the conclusion that the personal changes that occur in cadets are, on the one hand, the result of growing up, which is facilitated by the conditions of education in the departmental university of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, and, on the other hand, the result of professional formation (mastering their new social role). Individual stimuli of the methodology were also analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that the personal changes that occur with some cadets in the course of training at a specialized university are negative in nature and are similar in symptoms to the «emotional burnout syndrome»
