Because natural limits and economic growth are being exceeded today, the world cares for the environment. The current economic rationale focuses on maximizing production and seeking the accumulation of wealth, which has devastating consequences for society and the natural environment. Therefore, it is very important to know the current state of the environment, the regulations for production and consumption, and the management of urban and rural waste. Education is the ideal way to address the various environmental and social problems that modern society experiences. Different strategies and actions in education can be carried out so that children, youth and adults act towards the environment with responsibility and awareness. In fact, various governments have already implemented public programs on environmental education in communities and schools. For this reason, this article aims to present information and reflections about the problem and excessive generation of solid waste, the role that education and environmental culture play in its management, and how it can be used to try to alleviate this problematic. This was achieved using a documentary and literature analysis. This analysis shows the need to reinforce learning oriented to the development of skills and perceptions in the face of real-world environmental problems, applying a multidisciplinary approach and trusting on the participation of rural communities.

The necessity of transition to ecologically oriented civilization, conditionality of formation of system of knowledge in education education and culture is shown. The system of values of ecocentric orientation is offered. In the conditions of transitive modern society the complex of ecologically significant skills is formed at receiving education and is transformed into internal beliefs of the individual. It is argued that the modern reality requires immediate initiation and development of ecological education of youth at all stages and levels of education: the state of the environment can not wait for full formation of generations, which is subject-oriented environmental education in early childhood, and does not allow time for long-term experiments.

Nowadays, there is a planetary crisis resulting from the means of production and consumption, in an urban way of life based on technology. At the same time, there is an international movement for Environmental Education, aimed at combating the crisis. The present work proposes to reflect on the potential of Environmental Education in a critical and creative perspective, starting from a Freirean approach. Since the solution mechanisms are based on the same principles that generated the crisis, it is necessary that Environmental Education be constituted from its transformative potential, instead of serving the Sustainable Development. The current status of protection of the natural water and atmospheric resources is assessed as negative, without clear improving tendencies but with a stable pro-cyclical character. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the management of production and consumption waste. Even in the stagnation periods, the volume of generated and accumulated waste continues growing. In the year 2018, the first indicator doubled compared to the year 2005. Thus, the urgency of the research is augmented by the unfavourable ecological situation in Russia. The objective of the paper is to develop methodological approaches to the analysis and forecasting of the situation. The objective determined the following targets: to study the current state of the environment regarding the handling of waste, to develop premises to forecast generation and accumulation of waste, to assess the ecological load for the nearest future. Despite the active efforts to reform the waste management system undertaken since 2014, the Russian legislation is imperfect and contradictory in this aspect, not capable of stimulating the processing of waste. The principal contradictions of the ongoing reforms are considered in this paper

The article attempts to characterize the main forms and directions of work in the environmental education of schoolchildren. The purpose and objectives of the article are due to the catastrophic state of the environment on the one hand, and the direct indifference of the majority of modern society to the environment as a whole. The authors describe the main directions of work on the formation of ecological culture and consciousness among schoolchildren. The concept of the «New Ukrainian School» was taken as a basis and proposed, which emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary connections of school disciplines and the formation of basic competencies in modern children. So, the authors give examples of how with the help of natural educational disciplines it is possible to influence the ecological consciousness of children, thereby expanding their horizons, and teaching them to rationalistic analysis and comparison of facts. The study substantiates the stages of the formation of environmental education through educational classes and research activities of schoolchildren from creating motivation to get acquainted with the surrounding environment to students ' awareness of the causes and consequences of environmental problems, conscious attitude and finding ways to solve them. Without separating educational activities and elements of environmental education, teachers will be able to promote a deep awareness of students in the role of a favorable environmental environment. And the formation of ecological consciousness among schoolchildren will contribute to their responsible attitude to their own health.

Uranium mining often escapes the attention of debates around the nuclear industries. The chemical elements’ representations are focused on the nuclear reactor. The article explores what I refer to as becoming the nuclear front – the uranium mining frontier’s expansion to Tanzania, its historical entanglements and current state. The geographies of the nuclear industries parallel dominant patterns and the unevenness of the global divisions of labour, resource production and consumption. Clearly related to the developments and expectations in the field of atomic power production, uranium exploration and the gathering of geological knowledge on resource potentiality remains a peripheral realm of the technopolitical perceptions of the nuclear fuel chain. Seen as less spectacular and less associated with high-technology than the better-known elements of the nuclear industry the article thus aims to shine light on the processes that pre-figure uranium mining by looking at the example of Tanzania.

Anxiety and fear felt by people around the world regarding the coronavirus pandemic is real and can be overwhelming, resulting in strong emotional reactions in adults and children. With depressive and anxiety disorders already highly prevalent in the general population (300 million worldwide), depression and/or anxiety specifically because of the pandemic response is likely. Moreover, the current state of panic in the face of uncertainty is apt to produce significant amounts of stress. While this situation has the potential to cause psychological disorders in previously unaffected populations, perhaps more impactful is the exacerbation of symptoms of many existing disorders including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and hoarding disorder.

SummaryLivestock production faces major challenges through the coincidence of major drivers of change, some with conflicting directions. These are:1. An unprecedented global change in demands for traditional livestock products such as meat, milk and eggs.2. Large changes in the demographic and regional distribution of these demands.3. The need to reduce poverty in rural communities by providing sustainable livelihoods.4. The possible emergence of new agricultural outputs such as bio-fuels making a significant impact upon traditional production systems.5. A growing awareness of the need to reduce the environmental impact of livestock production.6. The uncertainty in the scale and impact of climate change. This paper explores these challenges from a scientific perspective in the face of the large-scale and selective erosion of our animal genetic resources, and concludes thai there is a stronger and more urgent need than ever before to secure the livestock genetic resources available to humankind through a comprehensive global conservation programme.
