The purpose of this research is to analyze the promotion strategy through advertising media at Desa Wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang view from 3 indicator: print media, electronic media, outdoor media. The research is a descriptive qualitative with survey method. Determination of informant using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The purposive sampling technique involving 2 informant from tourism govermant and 2 informant from desa wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang manager then snowball sampling technique involving 3 informant from desa wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang visitor. Technique of collecting data is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the strength of promotion advertising are: news paper easy to get, the picture quality on brochure have a good and interesting, radio can be heard anywhere, television give information through sound and picture, desa wisata Kubu Gadang also have a website and a big billboard with a perfect lighting. 2) the weakness of promotion advertising are: there was no promotion through a brochure, there was no update on the Kubu Gadang’s website, the billboard was vulnerable of damage. 3) the opportunities of promotion advertising are: there are many people who still interest to read the newspaper and brochure, there are many people who interest of internet using, many people can see the outdoor media as if billboard and baliho. 4) the threats of promotion advertising are: there are competitor through print media, television and outdoor media. The conclusion of The promotion strategy through advertising media at Desa Wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang is 1) making use of print media for promotion, 2) to increase the promotion thourgh radio, television and website/internet, 3) making advertising through outdoor media as if billboard and baliho.

Given the reality of language diversity in Banten and juxtaposed with the differences in language behavior between men and women, the researcher directly examined the pattern of Banten-Dialect Javanese Language associated with gender in the community of Gowok Village, Sukajaya, Curug District, Serang City. This study aimed to describe the patterns of Banten-Dialect Javanese Language use in the family and neighborhood domains viewed from gender perspective.To achieve the objectives, this study used a qualitative approach. A qualitative approach was used to describe the patterns of Banten-Dialect Javanese Language in two domains, namely family and neighborhood, and describe how gender can distinguish the use of language in the two domains. The populations of this research were the speakers of Banten-Dialect Javanese Language in Gowok Village, Curug District, Serang City, and the determination of sample as the respondents was done by snowball sampling technique. The method used to collect the data of this research was survey method. To obtain the data from large populations, the researcher used data collection techniques through a written questionnaire instrument .

The research objective was to determine the plant food sources used by the people of Setia Jaya Village, Teriak District, Bengkayang Regency. The research was conducted on 11 April 2019 - 9 May 2019. The research method used a survey method, while the interviews were conducted using a snowball sampling technique. Based on the research conducted, 50 plant species were found with 28 types of families, namely Anarcaceae, Verberanaceae, Oxalidaceae, Moraceae, Malvaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Myrtaceae, Fabaceae, Auriculariaceae, Sapindaceae, Melastomataceae, Bromeliaceae, Annonaceae, Poaceae, Arecaceae, Piperceae, Meliaceae, Passifloraceae, Zigiberaceae, Solanaceae, Robiaceae, Dryopteriaceae, Gnetaceae, Blechnaceae, Schizophyllaceae, Caricaceae, Tricholomataceae and Bombaceae. Food source plants have use values as follows: mango, star fruit, durian, rubber, papaya, koko, red fern, green fern, jackfruit, soursop, petai, bamboo shoots and cassava as much as 1, starfruit, bebuas, cempedak, as much as durian kawai. 0.966667, Lingkodok as much as 0.766667, durian kawai as much as 0.966667, water guava, taro, melinjo, and mentawa as much as 0.6, guava as much as 0.7, kedondong and langsat as much as 0.666667, longan and purple eggplant 0.63333, candlenut as much as 0.233333, white mushrooms as much as 0.266667, fungus and ear mushrooms as much as 0.2, kelampai and pineapple as much as 0.3, areca as much as 0.933333, sago as much as 0.366667, pepper, salak and bay leaves as much as 0.5, lelatup as much as 0.166667, betel and breadfruit as much as 0.466667, tamarind eggplant as much as 0.566667 and ciplukan as much as 0.4.Keywords: Food Plants, Tembawang Forest, Utilization

Energi Mega Persada (EMP) Bentu Ltd is a national oil and gas company that operates the Bentu Block located in Riau Province. The increasing number of EMP Bentu Ltd consumers is directly proportional to the increasing number of gas wells, which causes EMP Bentu Ltd to often come into conflict with the community around the well. This study aims to determine the implementation of excellence public relations in conflict management by Public Relations Energi Mega Persada Bentu Limited in Muara Sakal District. Pelalawan 2019 through conflict management in carrying out the direction of communication, maintaining a balance of interests, running communication channels and considering the level of ethnicity. This study used qualitative research methods. Determination of informants using snowball sampling technique with 3 (three) informants at EMP Bentu Ltd and 7 (seven) people involved in Focus Group Discussion (FGP) in Muara Sakal Hamlet. The results of this study indicate PR EMP Bentu Ltd in managing conflict in Muara Sakal implements public relations excellence put forward by James E. Grunig and Hunt through implementation in carrying out the direction of conflict communication, maintaining a balance of interests, running communication channels and considering the level of ethnicity through conflict management. . Although unable to apply the 10 principles of excellent PR perfectly due to overlapping division of tasks, the conflict management in Muara Sakal Hamlet can be resolved.

Ethnobotany is an interaction relationship between ethnic and plants. The Dayak Kayaan and Dayak Bukat communities in Datah Dian Village, North Putussibau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency have different knowledge in utilizing and managing plants for traditional ritual activities. Research purpose was to obtain the ethnobotanical data utilized by the Dayak Kayaan and Dayak Bukat communities for traditional rituals in Datah Dian Village, North Putussibau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. The method used in this research was a survey method with snowball sampling technique by interviews with the community and assisted by questionnaire. The results showed that the plants used by the Dayak Kayaan Tribe as many as 26 species and Dayak Bukat Tribe were obtained 9 species of plants. Plant utilization performed by Dayak Kayaan community there are 4 activities namely for gawai, birth, death, and marriage. The most widely used species of plants was tree habitus with 13 species and parts of plants that are used mostly use were  stem, leaves and all parts of plant with percentage of each 27%. The utilization of plants performed by the Dayak Bukat community was 5 activities that were for gawai, birth, death, marriage, and to open the fields. The most widely used species of plants was the herb habitus form as many as 5 species and parts of plants that were most widely utilized was leaf with a percentage of 56%. The implementation of traditional rituals by Dayak Kayaan and Dayak Bukat communities is different, caused by different Dayak families.Keywords : Dayak Kayaan, Dayak Bukat, Ethnobotany, Traditional Ritual

Medicinal plants are one of the important components in medicine, in the form of traditional herbal concoctions and have been used since hundreds of years ago, to solve various health problems. This study aims to obtain the spesies of traditional medicinal plants used by the community in Gunung Sembilan Village in treating diseases and to know the use of medicinal plants and how to concoct medicinal raw materials. Data collection with interview and determination of responden uses a snowball sampling technique or carried out sequentially by asking for information on people who have been interviewed or contacted before the research. Observations were made, namely by walking while (without plots) making direct observations in the field together with respondents who knew about the medicinal plants. The results of interviews with the community of Gunung Sembilan Village, Sukadana District North Kayong Regency, 27 species of medicinal plants and 23 families were utilized by the community. The use of herbs is single or mixed, the most widely used are leaves (10 species or 37.04%). The most commonly used processing method is pounded (12 species or 44.44%), and how to consume the most frequently done, which is drink (12 species or 44.44%).Keywords : Gunung Sembilan village community, medicinal plants.

Field research can be associated with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, depending on the problems faced and the goals to be achieved. The success of data collection in the field research depends on the determination of the appropriate sampling technique, to obtain accurate data, and reliably. In studies that have problems related to specific issues, requiring a non-probability sampling techniques one of which is the snowball sampling technique. This technique is useful for finding, identifying, selecting and taking samples in a network or chain of relationships. Phased implementation procedures performed through interviews and questionnaires. Snowball sampling technique has strengths and weaknesses in its application. Field research housing sector become the case study to explain this sampling technique.

The local People of Kalimantan until now still depend on nature, they uilize flora and fauna for daily needs. Dayak Kayaan community in Padua Mendalam Village, Putussibau Utara District, Kapuas Hulu Regency have diversity in the utilization of animal Species including the use of animals for traditional rituals. The purpose of this study was to collect data of animals species that used for traditional rituals Dayak Kayaan people in Padua Mendalam Village, Putussibau Utara District, Kapuas Hulu District. Data collection with survey method and interviews with selected respondents using snowball sampling technique. The results there were 9 species from 9 families, every species of family consisted of only 1 species. The body parts used for traditional rituals are blood, the whole body, tail, head, feathers an shells. How to use every part of the body has a difference depending on the type of traditional rituals performed.Keyword : Ethnozoology For Traditional Rituals Community Dayak Kayaan.

This study aims to examine the effect of ownership satisfaction to loyalty membership card in the modern retail visitors in Yogyakarta. Thisstudy used 102 respondents as a sample of consumers who are visiting at the modern retail. While the sampling technique used is a combination of snowball sampling technique and purposive sampling. The results showed that the satisfaction of the benefits of discount, ease of service satisfaction, and satisfaction with the service special influence on modern retail visitor loyalty, while satisfaction with the service doesn’t influence on the visitor loyalty.Keywords:satisfaction and visitor loyalty

This study aimed to analyze the strategy of promotion through electronic media for Desa wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang in terms of three indicators, namely: radio, television and web / internet. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using survey methods. In this study to determine informants using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Purposive sampling technique involving the informant two officers of Padang Panjang tourism autorithyand two managers of the Desa wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang and snowball sampling technique that is three visitors ofDesa wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) the power of the electronic media promotion are: radio can be enjoyed anytime and anywhere, tv convey messages through sound and image, the Desa wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang has a website profiles on the internet 2) weakness promotion of electronic media, namely: no renewal website Desa wisata Kubu Gadang Kota Padang Panjang 3) opportunities include: the audience's attention to the television is high, the high interest of Internet users 4) the threats are : there is competition promotion through web media / internet and tv. <p class="IsiAbstrakIndo"><span lang="EN-GB">Animal utilization in traditional community life is an integral part of traditional knowledge itself. This research aims to reveal the Hatam people’s traditional knowledge about the utilization of animals in their lives. The method used is the exploratory survey method. The respondents were determined purposively using the snowball sampling technique. The results showed that there are at least 55 species of animals commonly used by the Hatam people. Based on the forms of utilization, the animals can be divided into six groups: consumption, traditional medicine, specific meanings, traditional technology and arts, significant value, and traditional purposes. Wild animals are most widely used for the living needs of the Hatam people. The traditional hunt that is limited and the communal land ownership system (</span><em><span lang="EN-GB">ulayat</span></em><span lang="EN-GB"> system) practiced by the Hatam people have indirectly helped preserve and ensure the availability of wildlife for the Hatam people’s needs. In addition to being a form of documentation of Hatam people’s traditional knowledge, the results of this research also have significance for the development of science especially in the field of ethnozoology. The form of interaction between Hatam people and animals revealed in this research can also serve as a reference for designing development policies related to the presence of Hatam people in the Arfak mountains. </span></p>
