This research aim to investigate the effect of learning model to students learning outcomes in environmental pollution subject matter. This research method was quasi experimental design with pretest and posttest control group design. Research population in this research was the whole Grade X students in SMA Negeri 1 Bendahara academic year 2015/2016 as much as 120 students. Samples of this research were 3 regular classes of Grade X with total 90 students. Samples of this research were choosen based on special criteria (purpossive sampling). Data were collected using test instrument. Data analysis technique was using analysis of covarians. The result of study showed that there was a significant effect of learning models (project and problem based learning) to students outcome. (Fcount = 16,46; P = 0,00). Based on this study result, it can be concluded that students outcome which taught using project based learning model was higher than problem based learning and convensional learning models.

The purpose of conducting this research is to compare the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning learning model and the Project Based Learning learning model in terms of the critical thinking skills of elementary students. This type of research used in this research is Quasi Experimental with experimental design of Post test-Only Control Group Design. The population in the study were 164 five grade students in Diponegoro Salatiga Cluster, while the sample is 111 students of five grade students in SDN Mangunsari 01, SDN Mangunsari 03, and SDN Mangunsari 05. The results obtained from this study are based on descriptive statistics where the average implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model is 92.46, while the average implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model is 85.15. the results of critical thinking skills in the Problem Based Learning model are higher than the Project Based Learning learning model reinforced by the T test results obtained by the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0, 047 0.05 thus there is a significant difference between the two groups.

Mathematical communication skills of students are still relatively low. One learning model can improve students 'mathematical communication skills and at the same time students' mathematical disposition is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim to be achieved is to find out the improvement of students 'mathematical communication skills and mathematical disposition using PBL models in terms of students' initial mathematical level. This research is an experimental research design with pretest posttest control group design. The research population was Grade VII students of SMP 9 Langsa. Students are grouped into two classes namely the experimental class and the control class randomly selected from eight parallel classes. The instrument used was a test of mathematical communication skills and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that improving students 'mathematical communication ability and students' mathematical disposition by applying PBL learning models is better than students applying conventional learning models. There is no interaction between the PBL learning model with student level on mathematical communication skills and students' mathematical disposition. Abstrak Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu model pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan sekaligus disposisi matematis siswa adalah model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai ialah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis menggunakan model PBL ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain pretest postest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Langsa. Siswa dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara acak dari delapan kelas paralel. Instrumen yang digunakan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket disposisi matematis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan anova dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran PBL lebih baik dari pada siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran PBL dengan level siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa. This research is motivated by the low mastery of basic movements due to the incorrect way of doing the passing technique. How to teach volleyball games using the lecture method so as to make students less interested so that students become less active during the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was effectiveness in the problem based learning model on the psychomotor outcomes of volleyball underpassing in class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Semarang and discovery learning models on psychomotor outcomes of volleyball underpassing in class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Semarang. The research method used in this research is Quasi Experimental Design (quasi-experimental) with the design used in this study is the Noneequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection techniques using tests. The population in this study were students of class XI SMK N 2 Semarang, with samples of class XI BDP 1 and XI UPW 1 students. The results showed that the hypothesis test was obtained t count (22.669 < 29.556) which means that the problem based learning and discovery learning models are effective in psychomotor results of passing under volleyball in class XI students of SMK N 2 Semarang. The results of the effectiveness of passing down volleyball with a problem based learning model of 83.06. While the results of the effectiveness of passing down volleyball with the discovery learning model of 89.00. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the discovery learning learning model is more effective than problem based learning exercises for the effectiveness of passing down volleyball in class XI students of SMK N 2 Semarang, because from the data the value of the discovery learning model is greater than problem based learning.

The background of the research is an effort to develop the quality and explore the potential of students. Teachers are strived to use the right learning model, namely problem-based learning models combined with online learning methods (learning from home) that have been decided by the Ministry of Education and Culture during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of problem-based learning models in improving student learning outcomes in geography subjects at SMAN 1 Langowan. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretests-posttests control group design. The research variable with the independent variable is the problem-based learning model and the dependent variable is the learning outcome. The results showed that the problem-based learning model was effective and efficient to improve student learning outcomes. The comparison of learning outcomes shows the experimental class with 76.2 pretests and 87.7 posttests and the control class with 74.4 pretests and 81.8 posttests. It also encourages students to be more active and creative in overcoming the problems encountered in learning.

This research aims to determine the increase in mastery of  concept through  problem based learning model assisted by computer simulations on the material of class XI optical devices in SMAN 8 Mataram. This type of research is quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was all students of class XI MIA SMAN 8 Mataram. Sampel taken using purposive sampling technique. Students of class XI MIA 1 were selected as experimental class and class XI MIA 2 as control class. Hypothesis testing using t test with a significance level of 5% assisted by SPSS 23. Hypothesis testing yielded a significance level of 0.010 for mastery of concepts smaller than 0.05. Based on the provisions, Ho is rejected and it can be concluded that there is an influence of problem based learning models assisted by computer simulations on the mastery of the concepts. This result can be proved by the N-gain test, where there is an increase in mastery of concepts by using a problem based learning model assisted by computer simulations. The highest increase in sub-material for concept mastery data was seen in the reflection devices and lowest sub-material in binocular.

This research aims to study the feasibility of learning models, student activities, and the presence or absence of problem-based learning models on the creative thinking skills of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Mlarak. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. This study uses PBL learning models assisted by audio visual media for the experimental class and conventional models for the control class. The instrument used was a written test consisting of descriptions, while the statistical analysis used the t test (independent sample test) and one tail test.

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui, (1) Pengaruh penggunaan model Project Based Learning terhadap prestasi belajar PPKn di SMP, (2) Pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning terhadap prestasi belajar PPKn di SMP, dan (3) Perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan model Project Based Learning dengan Problem Based Learning  terhadap prestasi belajar PPKn di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experimental yang menggunakan pretest, posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 2 Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan menggunakan model Project Based Learning terhadap prestasi belajar PPKn, dengan memperoleh gain score sebesar 20,29 (kelas eksperimen 1); (2) Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning terhadap prestasi belajar PPKn, dengan memperoleh gain score sebesar 18,48 (kelas eksperimen 2); dan (3) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan Project Based Learning dan Problem Based Learning terhadap prestasi belajar PPKn.Kata kunci: project based learning, problem based learning, prestasi belajar.

Research on the effect of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu has been done. This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu. The type of research was a quasi-experimental study non-randomized design with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was conducted with a purposive sampling technique. The study sample was students in class X MIA 6 as an experimental group (n = 22) and students in class X MIA 3 as a control group (n = 22). The data testing of students' learning outcomes used a non-parametric statistical analysis, the analysis of Mann-Whitney U-Test. The research results indicated that the mean value of the experiment class was high compared to the control class, 22.61 >18.39. The statistical analysis obtained that sig. 2-tailed (0,032) ˂ 0.05 and Zcalculation (-2.149) ˂ Ztable (-1.96). The average value of the experiment class was 82.95 while the average value of the control class was 73.64. So it can be concluded that there is the effect of applying the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes.

Learning physics should be able to provide an understanding physics of abstract concepts. One of the efforts being made to improve the learning of Physics is to use appropriate learning model. This study aims to improve the student’s conceptual understanding by using project based learning model with virtual media for X Grade student at SMAN 2 Mataram Years 2015/2016. This study was conducted using a type of quasi-experimental research, untreated control group design with pretest and posttest on Optic. Hypothesis test results that the model used to give effect to the  student’s conceptual understanding, was shown to increase student conceptual understanding was higher in the experimental class compared with the control class. N-gain test results stating that the conceptual understanding has increased in each sub material. The results of the analysis conceptual understanding score on every aspect of cognitive increased.

Based on observations when apprenticed at SMAN 7 Pontianak it was known that students' critical thinking skills are still low. Therefore, a variety of learning models are needed to improve students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research was to determine the differences and effective learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills between students taught using the project-based learning model and the problem based learning model. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The data collection techniques used were measurement. The results showed a significant value of the T-test was 0.000<0.05. This means that there are differences in students' critical thinking skills taught using the project-based learning model and problem-based learning. The average value of N-Gain in the project-based learning model was 0.69 (moderate) while the problem-based learning model was 0.58 (moderate), so the project-based learning model is more effective than the problem based learning model on students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: Critical thinking skills, problem-based learning, project-based learning, cell material
